We made appointments online to get our annual flu and Covid shots at this pharmacy. No line for vaccines, and we arrived 10 min early so it was no big deal when the pharmacist asked us to wait since there was a line at the pharmacy pickup lane. Our pharmacist was professional, friendly, and helpful. We were finished with that part of our visit within 10 min. However, when we decided to buy a few items and got in line at the front for regular purchases, there was only one cashier. He was efficient enough, but with a growing line he really should have had a second staff to help out. That's more of a management issue I think. The CVS has plenty of parking, is also relatively clean and uncluttered, and has the aisles clearly marked. I thought it was interesting that all eye care stuff in locked cabinets. read more

When it's slow in the store, it's not a big problem. But damn it all if this cvs isn't a portal of chaos and lack of common sense... For both cashier and customers that come in. For the life of me I can't understand why picking up medications seems to cause everyone so much difficulty. On the cashier end... The POS terminals are so slow which adds to wait time and it's not helping the process. On the end of the customer's, you all need to stop overcomplicating your own lives and stop asking the pharmacist questions you should have asked your doctor in your visit such as how the medication works and any do's and don'ts. Also, the pharmacy isn't your insurance provider....so why ask them why your medication refills aren't paid for, why it's not covered and all of that? They will only give what they're allowed to and that's all there is to it. In the era of modern technology, I can't fathom why no one does their own research ahead of time. ‍ read more

Worst CVS I've been to ever. Used to the app to develop 2 mugs & a magnet. Received emails that all items were ready for pickup. When I arrive, only 1 mug & a magnet is ready. Photos on the mug came out crooked/uneven. I inquired when the other mug would be ready & associate told me 10-15 minutes. I arrive 30 minutes later & the mug still isn't quite ready. Wait an additional 10 minutes & the item is brought to me. They run out of boxes so its wrapped in a paper bag. The 50% discount I applied at purchase for some odd reason isn't showing up on their system. At this point, I just want to pay & get out of dodge, as that area of Pomona is highly sketchy. Oh, where do I even begin. Completely disillusioned with the state of retail pharmacies. I've always been loyal to Rite Aid but ever since Rite Aid had to close over 15K stores, now it seems like the pharmacy giants are between CVS, Walmart, and smaller ones like Costco. Walking in there was already an altercation between an older patient and the pharmacy staff, and there was a line of 15 people waiting for their refills and medication. It was a good 30-45 minute wait overall- by the time it was my turn I had to deal with a woman in her 50s, disheveled hair, and she rudely asked me to clarify my name twice, and my DOB twice. Begrudgingly with her limping hand gave me my refill. AVOID THIS PHARMACY FOR ANY REGULAR REFILLS BECAUSE THEY HAVE HIGH VOLUME TRAFFIC FROM ALL THE DISCHARGES FROM POMONA VALLEY HOSPITAL. That should be more than obvious but enough said. Transferring my medications to another pharmacy, the journey to find a pharmacy where the burnt out technicians aren't lashing out at customers and vice versa. 0/10 don't come there, and I'm saying this from experience as a pharmacy technician myself. This is a horrible pharmacy. My husband went in on Wednesday for his medication, which is life saving medication. He told them he had three days worth left. The "pharmacist" said there were no refills, but she would contact the medical provider. He took his last pill this morning. We went to CVS and they had no record of us coming in, no record of a call made to his medical provider and said they couldn't fill it. He told them he could possibly die if he didn't get it, and they acknowledged this was correct, but said there was nothing they could do. He asked if they could give him three pills to last through the weekend, and they said no. So they sent us out the door without his LIFE SAVING MEDICATION. Very rude customer service from Raymond at the pharmacy. However, I usually receive good service from other staff.

Some of the workers here are nice, however the store manager Shavon is very rude and unprofessional. I was picking up medicine and she was abruptly rude to a customer saying she was blocking the way yet there was a whole line of cars blocking the way as well. I caught it on camera. I fear she was being a bit racist because the girl she was yelling at even cussing out was brown. I can't believe I saw this going to get medicine. I understand a regular worker, but a STORE MANAGER?!?? If these are the kind of people you guys are promoting to managing your store, you need to be more selective of who you hire. I bet if it was a caucasian person she would have minded her business. I can't BELIEVE I HEARD A STORE MANAGER CUSS OUT AND DISRESPECT A CUSTOMER MINDING HER OWN BUSINESS. I was at urgent care and had them send over my prescription to this cvs only because it was open later than my favorite pharmacy. Also because it's right across the street. I urgently needed that medication, and they kept telling my partner that I had a different insurance (medical) and that I had a copay of $500+. I have a ppo insurance so idk where that information came from. My partner provided them with my insurance card and the very unprofessional, rude, and ignorant pharmacist "CHEN L" was refusing to take my insurance card saying that that card was for the hospital! He just wanted to charge me full price for the medicine! I had to call and spoke to another guy who was kind and was trying to help by trying to run my insurance and this "Chen" man literally yells at him. Very disgusting behavior I wish I would've been there in person to yell back at him. You don't yell at your coworkers/employees in front of customers. Be VERY cautious coming here. I called my regular pharmacy the next day and had it transferred and my ppo insurance was working perfectly fine. Saved me $50! read more

I just had a very troubling experience at this location and I felt I wanted to provide review about it. I usually work from home and rarely leave the house with this Covid pandemic, but today I stopped CVS to pick up vitamins during a quick store run. The store wasn't very busy when I arrived so I ran back to the pharmacy to get the vitamins. I arrived at the pharmacy window to make my purchase, yet the cashier (a rude lady named Natalie) ignored me and invited the woman BEHIND me to step to the window. It was as if I didn't exist! I normally wouldn't say anything but I spoke up--and said hey, I was here first. The cashier, Natalie, asked the woman who had skipped me who was first and she said she was. I am certain the cashier saw me but she simply continued checking this woman out. I was so upset. It's bad enough being black and having people follow me around a store, but here I was simply having them both disregard me as a person. I spoke with the manager David Nhan, and he apologized for the experience but he explained-whoever makes it to the window first wins (that's basically what I took from the conversation). Honestly, I've had so many iffy moments with this pharmacy but this one has to take the cake. I go in for my regularly scheduled pickup for a medication I get every month and I am told that it isn't in stock and that they'd have to order it. It would have been nice to have a notice? Please be aware and try not to pay with a credit or debit card, my card info was stolen the other day 01/21/23 to be exact. I just wanted to check my balance yesterday for some reason and to my surprise their was three different transactions from two different H&M stores in the surrounding area totaling $529. The store hours on google say 6 am... if u call the store and get hours from the answering machine it says 6am .... Drive over to the store it's closed ... called the store ... somebody answered but says oh yeah sorry those hours are old we open at 7.... GAS IS ALMOST $6 a gallon and this company can't take the time to update their hours for customers to not only NOT waste their time but to save their gas ?!?! TERRIBLE!!! So I went to this location today as it stated it was open and I needed benadryl as I had a minor allergic reaction. I was on my way home from sports event so mind you I was decked out in sports attire. I entered the location which I have been to at least twice within the past year during the day in professional office attire. As I'm walking into the location, a male looks at me. Im walking around rather quickly looking for the allergy aisle and squinting. I hear "security" over the loud intercom and by this time im in the allergy aisle. The male gentleman that looked at me upon entering comes to the aisle and says "I didnt..." when I hear "glasses" over the intercom. Mind you at this time, there like two other people if that in the store with me aside from the employees (a female cashier and the male employee from what I can see). I was the only one wearing glasses. I looked at the male employee rather irate and went back to looking at the variety of allergy medication. If it wasn't for all the itchiness or the lateness of the night, I would of gone to another location. I did walk briefly down the holiday section as I usually buy tons of candy for the office; however, the atmosphere made it more like f*ck this location doesn't deserve my money. I purchased my benadryl and left. I will not be coming back to this location. I'm not sure whether it was the squinting of the eyes trying to read the aisle signs, the red mild puffy face, the dark sports jersey I was wearing, the two toned glasses or the hair that apparently made it seems like I needed to be profiled upon entering the location. I understand that they have a location to protect, merchandise to inventory and sell, and potentially may have had issues with thefts in the past. However, profiling based on what one is donning may bite the company in the butt. read more

A bad Pharmacy. Example, they tell you a prescription will be ready on a date. Then they tell you two days later, after the first date they said it would be ready, that it is currently being shipped, and that it has already bin run by the insurance (as it it was charged already). Basically you can not go to another pharmacy to get you prescription, you must wait till it gets there. Then after the shipment gets there, a day or two later. The prescription still has not bin processed. It's a headache. Thank God this medication is not something l must have for my heart or any other living organ. read more

This CVS pharmacy location filled my prescription of 3 months of birth control, with medicine that expired in 2 months. The date filled was 8/16/15 and the expiration date, printed on the box AND re written by hand on the prescription label was 10/2015. If the pharmacists and technicians can't even use common math with expiration dates, how can anyone trust them to catch more serious concerns duh as possible medication interactions? Not only that, but I was on auto refill at my precious cvs. I transferred here and asked to remain on auto refill. I've been waiting and none of my prescriptions have been auto renewed in 4 months. Every single time I come here my prescriptions are not ready. The wait is horrendously long; it never fails. I notoriously leave here PO'd. Pharmacy is the worst, always messing something up. I came to drive thru to pick up my medication after receiving. A couple of text messages only to find out they put it back in stock. I called at 10:09am this morning to make sure it was still ready. I was told it was and let them k is i would be picking it jp tonight or tomorrow because i was on a business trip. She said it was t a problem Now i have to wait in line so rhey can refill somethimg that i was told was ready. That defeats the purpkse of me driving to get it licked up.
