There id an absolute, failing manager at this store that just stays in her office. There are long lines and she doesn't come out of her hole and open another register to help. There are no other store associates on the floor just this pathetic manager and the poor cashier guy thats handling all the customers in this long line to handle this grief. One time this pathetic manager was helping another customer at another register. In this long line and only register open, i asked if she was open at the other register she was at. She said no, helped this other customer and crawled back into her hole office. There was a long line. Around first part of November a young dark olive-skinned man cashier, clearly new, slow due to being careful at scanning each item, and this only one open register - due to this manager - I had a return/exchange. He had to walk away to knock on her door to crawl out of her hole to help him with this transaction, only to "tell" him what to do rather than "teach/train" him because she didn't even look or need the receipt. This manager didn't touch the receipt and just wanted to go back to her hole. Oh, and this cashier isn't there anymore. At least daytime. Other stores in the area have grilled me about returns. Some managers wouldn't give back my original receipts i had other purchases on. Some grilled me about specifics about requirements for returned items. I said why aren't they printed on the back of the receipts? How are the customers supposed to know your specifics about what you require or what you wont accept? Yet this pathetic manager didn't even look, touch the receipt or bother train or help this poor trainee cashier to open another register and help with the burden of a long line - and there were no other associates on the floor due to her daytime scheduling. She's heavy set, dark long curly hair and wears glasses, real ghetto, man. Shes useless, shouldn't be a manager. She's getting manager salary for trainee level service. She's not public service, doesn't like or help other customers at all. Absolute FAIL. I used to really like this store but this useless manager keeps me from coming back. The District Manager of this store should fire her. For the District Mgr to hire this Mgr for this store is a BAD reflection on them on the inexperience, low pay managers they hire for Chino Hills rather than skid row areas. This is just not good for District Mgrs. it affects the profit margins of the city, the lack of quality service, credibility, reputation of this store and the district mgr who hired this ghetto manager. She just stays holed up in her office - not there for the store or customers. read more

This is a decent Dollar Tree near the chino hills area. The plaza has many other stores too. Inside the store you get things for $1.25 , a section for $3 and a small section for $5. I wish they had their aisles full because due to holiday season alot of the aisles were half empty. I feel like they have less employees and don't have enough time to do more inventory fullness. Also with the check out lines only 1 or 2 employees, it was extremely busy but they do not have enough employees. The selection is decent and you can get things if you need on a good value. I do like Dollar Trees for seasonal items and they do have cute things already for the next holiday. Overall decent. read more

I came in to refund a gift bag that was too small to hold the gift I had purchased and the cashier, (Christian) said that; "The Dollar Tree doesn't except returns and all sales are final". I know this information is inaccurate because I've returned something there before. But whatever, I'll just take my business elsewhere next time. This is my new favorite Dollar Tree It's always clean and well organized, which I so do appreciate. The shelves are tagged properly and stocked full . But above and beyond those qualities, is that every time I have visited this store, the associates working here are always so polite and friendly. I very much enjoy shopping at this store. Please do not come here if you're expecting a pleasant experience. I just went this morning and had the misfortune of running into a very rude employee that practically snatched balloons out of my hand. I didn't realize they were reserved and apparently I should've just read her mind. There's different ways of going about things and scolding and raising your voice at customers is NOT one. And I understand it's early and it's a stressful time but that kind of behavior is inexcusable. I work in customer service every single day and I know how to interact. Date of visit: April 15, 2018 We headed here before going to my girlfriend's nephew's birthday party so she could get a cheap picture frame and a birthday card. Since she was taking a while doing her shopping, I decided to browse the aisles... Unlike the Dollar Tree location closer to my home base in San Diego, this one is actually quite spacious. And if one looks closely, you can actually find some gems among the bric a brac - I ended up buying a couple of cheap books that struck my fancy, along with a Mountain Dew Kickstart for the caffeine boost, and a Stacker Energy Boost to keep me going for the drive home. There were also some items in the frozen food aisle that looked good, but I didn't think they'd survive the trip back to my place (plus, I could always get them at my location - if they had them in stock). Just recently, I saw a lot of cool stuff people bought from Dollar Tree and posted on Yelp. I decided to stop by after picking up my son up from school. He fell in love with a butterfly net and held onto it ALL afternoon while running our errands. From time to time, geckos from the backyard will sneak into my closet, living room, etc., and it will come in very handy to "fish" them back out and return them safely to their habitat. I also picked up six mason jar mugs that they use to serve iced expresso drinks at the boutique coffee shop "Dripp." I've seen them at William Sonoma for alot more than a dollar. Finally we got five metallic balloons for New Year's Eve. My kids are little so our celebration tonight consists of drinking hot apple cider and watching vintage cartoons. Really small compared to others. It's very hidden. You can easily miss it from the freeway. It's more for locals it seems. Items are limited compared to others as well. Shopping carts are all over the place I'm parking lot since there's not a place to put them. Service from the white men with light brown hair and beard was great. The name says it all, "Dollar" Tree. This store reminds me of the old Pick N' Save's, only cleaner and more organized. I can't believe all the cool things you can find here. My wife sent me here to buy some balloons, school supplies and other crafts. I spent less than five dollars and left with some cool goodies. If you are a teacher this store is for you. I frequently visit this Dollar Tree location because it is literally less than 10 minutes away from home. I come here mostly for their school supplies because as a broke grad student, I don't want to spend too much on school supplies. It is like any typical Dollar Tree store, in which they sell just about almost anything for only $1. However, there is a CRV fee on beverages and some other items. I am just taking one star away because I wish that this store had more sales associates to man the cash registers. I came here earlier today to purchase only two items and there were more than 10 people waiting in line with only one sales associate working the check-out area. I can tell that the customers who were waiting began to become impatient, myself included. So, Dollar Tree staff from the Peyton location, if you read this, please talk to your managers or supervisors about this issue so that more cashiers can be hired! read more

This dollar tree is smaller but convenient. Can't beat $1 items. Recently picked up some paper and plastic throw away party supplies, they had some nice red and white checked square disposable plates, perfect for a BBQ or summer get together. The cashier gave me an attitude today. She was about to open up another register. When she asked the person in front of me with a lot of stuff in his cart and half already at the wrap stand. I walked to her register and she said that she had to take him first. That is not right I only had a few things and it was a fast transaction. When she was done with me. Oh my Lord, I have to agree with Yelper M.F., Denika must really hate herself and her life to really be so unkind. It does seem as though she is unkind on purpose, but the fact is she just cannot help herself to be ugly. I was in the line when I thought of buying flip flops, so I just paid for them first and went back after I paid to go get them. It turned out they didn't have my size, so I went back and said they don't have my size, so she said I had to get back in line. I was wowed, then once I was at the register, she said she couldn't give me my dollar back, exchange only. What??? SHE SAID NO CASH RETURNS. I hadn't even left the store with the flip flops and she said no cash returns. I have returned before and she said not in this district. LOL wow I was WOWed again. I guess all the people who work for Dollar Tree must be related because this makes the third Dollar Tree store where MANAGING PEOPLE,,, MANAGERS YELPERS, treat the customer unbelievably unkind.
