In the one year that Jen and I have been dating, this place has improved and provided many fun days and nights. The Christmas decorations were wonderful and this past weekend they had the Lunar New Year celebration, with many additional pop-up vendors in the street (closed off for pedestrians). We enjoyed walking, talking and exploring all the additional vendors and also the people (and dog) watching was top notch. Judging by the crowd turnout, I would say that this was a successful event, and I hope they add more events like this going forward. Many great restaurants, shops, craft stores and plaza entertainment. Water fountains and train rides for the kids (and some adults too). Whether you come here to dine, shop or just hang out and enjoy the weather with others, this place is a solid choice.

This marketplace is located at the heart of Chino Hills Trade area. It's on the north side of the city with easy access to two major freeways, SR 60 and SR-71. Besides the businesses mentioned above, other major tenants include Lowe's, PetSmart, America's Tire, UPS, GNC, Coldstone, Wendy's, etc. There is also a section that's going through a redevelopment phase due to businesses that have closed down within the last couple years. I don't live near the Chino Hills area, but I am always open to venturing out to different cities and seeing what they have to offer especially for dining. This marketplace offers quite a bit. It is always definitely more convenient driving out any Inland Empire restaurant plazas than any OC areas though. Also, I used to visit Tastea here as well. This is the City of Chino Hills's 'Lowe's' Plaza, but I usually just call the 'Arby's' plaza. Parking is always super smooth like there always exists plenty of parking right outside Arby's. There has never been any parking hassles here at any time visiting the 'Commons,' Chino Hills' plaza. Prices feel fair, parking is effortless, and you're not spending half your day fighting crowds just to grab a couple things. It's the kind of place where you walk out feeling like you got everything done without the stress that other malls bring. The ambience has definitely improved. Parts of the mall still have that quiet, echoey vibe, but the updated sections create a nice contrast because they feel bright, clean, and fresh. The lighting is better, the layout feels more open, and it's one of the few malls where you can actually hear yourself think. The 2 bakeries are outstanding but my favorite is Some Crust Bakery. Although Creme bakery is very charming to experience also. I set aside the day to walk the streets to enjoy the old homes along the perimeter of this village. Take note that many movies have used this very location for filming. It does house several real estate places like Re/Max and has Vintner's Tavern, a nice dance studio, a Wara Grill, etc. It is located in Chino off of Roswell Ave. and is easy to locate most shops within an hour. I did enjoy the dance studio, I believe it was called Delight Dance, and they had a few repair stores for jewelry and phones. Also, this place does have two stories, however none of the stores on the 2nd floor appeared to be open. There is an elevator as well. This mall is probably not too popular considering Chino Hills has so many malls :) But I enjoyed walking around and visiting with the store owners. One store owner, from Green Acupuncture, is not listed and I cannot find it anywhere on Google maps was pretty cool. He was going to give me a free acupuncture treatment, but i was too afraid. Very nice man. The dance studio has classes for beginners and adults and they were super friendly as well. I will have to post more about this mall when i make my 2nd visit!
