My first impression was that I was walking in one of the Magical Hallmark movies and I found this shop. I explored every inch in the shop since I am fond of unique kitchen supplies, gadgets and utensils. I found them all in this shop.. They have lovely and stunning ornaments too. The shop was very organized.The staff were so sweet, welcoming and friendly. I wish I could spend longer time there. The Hen's Kitchen Shoppe is a hidden gem in Clairmont .I will be back very soon.

After breakfast, I walked on over & it is exactly what I pictured it AND MORE! Cute, darling kitchen items, gadgets (some I would not even know what to do with) and cooking paraphernalia abound! I couldn't stop staring & just wonder in complete awe. Wow! I barely had time to process & check everything out do the photos posted are just cursory pictures, for now. A few minutes later she walked out, locked the store and started yelling at the man to get away from her shop or she's calling the cops and saying she didn't want to hear his noise. Identified herself as the store owner. Very rude and miserable old lady. I was shocked. So many people had walked by, expressed enjoying his music and even tipping. She was clearly just bitter and in a bad mood, but the village is full of local artist. People enjoy that here. Being an "art studio" I would expect more from someone who owns one but is attacking an unprovoked artist doing what they love. Definitely not a good look for a business owner especially in the village.

This bird boutique store is quite special. Upon entering, guests see a variety of birdfeeders, hummingbird feeders, and a wide variety of seeds, suet, and specialty mixes. The gentleman who helped us out was very knowledgeable and guided me to a product that I did indeed purchase. In overhearing a conversation that seemed pretty particular to another shopper's backyard bird population, I could tell he knew a great deal about making sure the birds were fed the proper foods and how to encourage desired bird populations to attend her feeders. This is a unique, specialized bird feed store that will appeal to casual and dedicated birders alike.

After several weeks, he decided he was not going to use his. My drip system was still in my car, unopened and in its package. I figured I would use his and return my own and add a few things from the store in exchange since I no longer had my receipt. The staff and the owner on the phone tried to "locate" my receipt for over 20 minutes on their computer system, with the clerk repeatedly asking me if the system had been used. The drip system sat on the counter, tied with no less than 4 zip ties attaching it to the cardboard packaging still in the same way as the day I purchased it. I get not returning cash without receipts, especially such a small boutique shop -- but to not even honor store credit baffles me and strikes me as such an unfriendly gesture to someone who could potentially be a repeat customer. I love this store and have spent thousands over the years on bird food and poles at other Wild Birds Unlimited locations, but this franchise lost my business today. I do not understand how some people choose to do business. Please be cautious before you start investing in your own feeders here -- your money will not be honored at this location. Edited to add: Sir, I did not mention the two attachments I attempted to return because I had no packaging and as there was dust on them from being in the ground for 2 minutes I correctly assumed that not even store credit would suffice. I have had a three pronged bird pole set for many years, purchased at another location. I wanted to add the bottom piece shown in my photo to secure them. As I attempted to relocate, I broke off a piece of my original set and thus this attachment was simply not needed. Is it used? Yes, for a few moments. Would it be unheard of to ask to return or replace it for something I do need? Not here apparently. The other photo is of the mister. It has never been opened or taken out of the package. The clerk asked me two times if I had used it, as though I was trying to "pull one over on you all." I'm sorry sir, your tone and reply is an exact replica of my experience in your store. I can't find anything more unlike the birding community and thus I still strongly advise people seek out another location for their wild birding needs.
