Highly recommend getting grapes here because I have found it to be cheaper than anywhere else. Any red tags are good to buy as well since it's always lower than other places. This Aldi in Chino is a great place to shop for affordable groceries without wasting time. The prices are consistently low and the store offers a solid selection of everyday essentials, fresh produce, and store brand items that are surprisingly good quality. Their go to deals are always their dozen eggs. Right now it is around $1.49 a dozen but in the past I have seen it under $1!!! I also like to get their croissant bread. Even with it being shelf stable it is buttery, soft, and quite delicious especially when I pair it with their sharp cheddar and make a grilled cheese sandwhich. Everytime I come here I stop by their Aldi Finds section. Sometimes I get good deals on clothing, Aldi brand items like their flip flops or hats or one time I saw a sweater. HAHA. Pretty cool in my opinion. They even have kitchen gadgets and toys for the kids as well. Even with a lot of customers here at Aldi, one of the biggest highlights is the fast checkout. The staff works efficiently and if theres is more than 3 customers waiting, they call additional staff members to come to the front to help you check out. One less star as they used to have self check out but it is gone due to thefts so it does make the checkout line a little bit of a wait now. read more

I've started shopping more and more at Aldi due to their great prices, selection, and value. This particular location in Chino leaves a lot to be desired. Parking is ample and it is easy to get to this location from the nearby freeway. This whole area has a lot of great shopping opportunities, as well as restaurants. However, the store itself is very untidy and not stocked as well as other Aldi locations. The produce in particular is not great. I was looking for grapes, which are a pretty standard fruit, and they had one box left, which did not look appetizing. I was kind of shocked that they had so little stock of such a basic fruit. I was looking for other pretty basic items, like the laughing cow Aldi dupe and some diced green chiles, and they had neither of those things. They were also out of the regular jasmine rice pouches (not the organic) and their aisle of wonder/shame/finds was in pretty big disarray. this location is just kind of sad, unorganized, and not well stocked. My first time at an Aldi! A friend told me about this discount grocery/goods store and I had to come check it out myself. While I'm usually not one to browse grocery stores in my free time, Aldi's has a lot more than food. They're like Trader Joe's in that they have a lot of their own grocery brands and the inventory is always changing. Unlike TJ's however, they also have two aisles devoted specifically to random goods that are only available for a specific amount of time. When I visited, I saw pet toys, Halloween decor, children's books, and legos, among other things. Many are popular brands (like Harry Potter or Disney) and heavily discounted. If you're looking for something specific though, Aldi's is probably not the place for you. I like hunting for bargains and had a lot of fun checking out the things in this store. It was clean, organized, and the staff were all really friendly (much like TJ's). The parking lot was spacious and it wasn't crowded. Felt humiliated yesterday September 22 at 5:30pm while shopping for an Instacart order. The cashier insisted in front of aline of customers that a fruit cup was in the cart. For reference of four pack of fruit cups was missing one and when the cashier scanned it the side that was missing one made it fall out of the pouch and I added the one that fell back into the pouch when I asked the worker if I can replace it, she kept arguing with me, humiliating me in front of other customers saying that the extra fruit cup was in the basket when I had clearly already put everything inside a box after check out. did the cashier really think I wanted to keep one fruit cup and get a new whole packet be so for real now! I've been to both the Chino and Mira Loma locations. Staff in both locations are need of training...training to treat customers with simple kindness and helpfulness. Today I bought three bags of red cherries, strawberries and some vegetables. The price of red cherries was 2.46 per pound. When I was leaving, I found that the price was 4.98 per pound. When I went to the cashier, he refunded me 7.43 by the pound. After that, he charged me 18.35 for the three bags of cherries again. I felt that was not right, so he refunded me 11.22. I did not react at the time. I went home and found that the three bags of cherries were charged to me again. I went to the store to ask about it. A black staff member said that I took three bags and refunded two bags. Then he said that I paid for them at the price of yellow cherries. Then he said that I was wasting his time and told me not to go there in the future. Aldi is a good place to start your grocery shopping with. Their prices for some items are lower than other markets. Vegetables are pretty good. You don't get most name brands, but other brand that they have are not too bad for the price. You bag your own groceries. The cashiers sit and scan your items with efficiency back into a cart for you to bag. Make sure you have a quarter to get a cart. You get your quarter back when you return the cart. This is a good idea. I don't see or find their carts in the parking lot. Aldi's also has alot of German foods as well as others. The store is well organized and clean. I go to two (2) different locations and they are similar. This store may not be for everyone, but I enjoy going here. read more

Aldi's advertises items and then after a few hours of opening, they run out and never replenish the item. Employees will tell you they don't know what items are coming in the next shipment, but I can tell you, it is never their advertised special. Aldi's employees must also be paid a BONUS if they can strategically NOT put anything in your bag. They will avoid that bag like the plague! Most of the time they only have one cashier open and the line goes to the back of the store. Due to their practice of not using your original cart to place items in after they are scanned, you get someone else's groceries that you now paid for, or missing items from your own cart. Only have this challenge at the Chino location. They just don't care about their customers. Most of which are also on the rude side. Maybe it's a fit for the neighborhood. For starters I love Aldi stores! But on my way home decided to stop off at this location chino. Did my shopping, went to the front cashier and no one was there. Waited 8-10mins then decided to grab the cart in the front to do more grocery shopping until a cashier gets to the front. A male employee comes running out and says the cart needs to stay in front, after I placed all my items in it. He said I can give you 25 cents for you to go get one outside. I then say nevermind, I'll just pay for my items. He persists to say well you can just go get one. Mind you after you make me give you your cart back I just want to leave. He rings me up, I then proceed to take the cart to the shelf location where you bag your items, and the male employee proceeds to hold the cart and says this stays here, you just need to take your stuff and go. This is upsetting and irritating. The pettiness is ridiculous over a cart. The whole point of the cart is For you to take it to the shelf area/ table, place your belongings in bags and THEN give the cart back to the cashier. The upland and La verne Aldi locations have better staff with respect who understand great customer service. I won't shop at this location ever again. I went to the Aldi's in Chino on Grand Ave., I got to the checkout line and asked the cashier if I could Please get some cash back? Her name was Leya she had some body art on her hand and arm. Her answer was ok yeah sure. After ringing up my purchase I inserted my card to pay I reminded her that I wanted cash back. She ran my Debit card and said oh it ran as credit so I can't give you cash back. Maybe if you make another purchase I can do it for you. I went and got something else to enable me to obtain my cash back. Well I do not know what she did but no cash back again. I asked her what happened to which she replied, I don't know, maybe it's your card. You're going to have to go somewhere else. Exit my line I have other people to check out. It's Friday night, I'm tired and I'm usually patient but I found her to be RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS! She is lucky (Leya) that I was tired because had it been any other day Honey I am not THE ONE! I usually love Aldi. Today the 2 people at the register were horrible. The first cashier (female) kept yelling at us to go to register 4 because it was going to open. So we got out of line and waited. And waited. And waited while the people in line behind us got back in the first line and checked out before us. Along with the other people that got in that line AFTER the rude girl yelled at us continuously to get to register 4. I suggested to the male that eventually went to register 4 that they don't tell people to get out of line until the cashier is there and he made excuses and basically said 'yeah yeah'.
