Of course the guy at the counter had no idea what a Yelp was, or any knowledge of the check in, but honored it with a friendly smile. For a smaller place it was clean and put together. Picked up a 6 pack of the Sculpin Aloha and a bomber of Green Flash West Coast IPA. I will give them a 4 for being better than an average liquor store as well as supporting Yelp!

That didn't sound right, so I insisted on getting my money back. After some pushback, he returned it. To be sure, I later used the same $20 at a lottery vending machine and successfully bought $20 of SuperLotto. Those machines use bank-level bill validators, so the bill was clearly real. Felt more like intimidation than a real counterfeit issue. Just sharing so others are aware. Will never go back to this place.

There was a time when a man was following me around the store and I started to feel uncomfortable. I let the manager know, and he personally walked me out to my car to make sure I felt safe. Ever since then, this location has had a very special place in my heart. It really showed me how much they genuinely care about their customers. The store is also always very clean and well kept. Also, each fruit was exactly as ripe as you'd want them, juicy, sweet, soft but not mealy. Not always true about pre-cut fruit. Impressive :). I was able to get a fork from the deli counter. I also bought some shelled walnuts as protein. I know they're super healthy, but I find them rather bitter, so eating them alongside fresh fruit worked out great. I saw that they had some deals through the app so I decided to order. Unfortunately, the Dasher called me saying that they were withholding my order because the prices weren't matching on their end so I asked them if they could go ahead and cancel. It's not something that I could technically do on my end but it's something that the store would have to do on theirs so I would receive full refund. The Dasher called me and said that he was going to let the order go because the person inside was refusing to help or answer any questions at all. And this is basically where all went downhill ...even more. I called the store and the worker told me that he couldn't tell me why and he doesn't know why and that he's not gonna be able to fulfill my order so I said that's fine but I need you to go ahead and refund me my money and he said that he didn't know how to do that and that he was unable to do that. Once he had mentioned that it's his second day on the job I was trying to have some compassion so I asked him if he could please get into contact with somebody that would be able to help him out so we can get a solution because my order was just pending and it kept sending Dashers to the same store and he was refusing to give me anything. No answers, no refunds literally nothing. So i call again and ask them to PLEASE cancel so i can move on with my life he goes i already told you im new i cant help you. THEN i can hear him on another phone with the owner saying tell her she can come down to get the refund. Now why would I go down there over a DoorDash order to physically get a refund face-to-face when it's as easy as pushing a button. So at this point, I'm getting ready to leave to get my refund and I see on the app that they had canceled my alcohol bottles leaving only a nonalcoholic chaser to be picked up. So my thought is now that if you can cancel the three bottles, why are you unable to cancel the entire order so I called back for the third time and ask them if they can cancel the entire order not just the three bottles because there is no purpose of a Dasher picking up chasers without alcohol. At this point, the worker had lost his cool with and so had I since this was nothing but frustration on BOTH rnds, he goes again for the third time I told you I'm not gonna help you and I cannot help you. I already told the owner what I told him and now it's out of my hands and he told me to never call again and that he was refusing help completely. I ended up having to contact DoorDash and get on the phone with them and explain the whole situation to get my cancellation in order. Overall, this experience was about 45 minutes long after the first refusal and a complete waste of time it definitely could have been avoided. I suggest either getting off DoorDash or properly training to help people in these situations. Seeing how the owner was part of the problem and offered zero assistance i definitely will not be returning and repeating this to my locals. The lunch bags are such a fun and cute take on an adult goodie bag and I love that there is so many variations for anyone who has a preferred drink of choice. Nicole greeted us and gave us her favorite recommendations. We ended up getting the Agua Fresca, Guayabaneada, Kinky Punch and Agave Paloma. Each comes with 3 mini bottles and some candy to add to the theme. These are seriously going to be my go-to gifts for birthdays, baptisms, and teacher appreciation day For 4 lunch bags and a separate bag of Tamarindo candy, it was around 71 dollars and change. While that might sound like a lot, you'd pay that at any bar/club minus the candy but with the added cover charge but at least you can be at home and have your own party. So for us, it's a win-win. Somewhere in the middle of an inconspicuous shopping center off the 15 freeway you'll find a little…read morestore called The Liquor Box. Judging from the exterior and when you first walk in, The Liquor Box appears to be your standard convenience store. But dig a bit deeper, in particular the coolers in the back. In those coolers, you'll find maybe the best selection of local craft beer in the area. Among the gold you'll find are brands like Brew Rebellion, Claremont, Last Name, Wiens and plenty of other Inland Empire brewed beers. Once in a while you'll find some rare stuff here like Bourbon County Stout & the now retired Pabst Old Tankard Ale. Of course you'll find your standard mass produced stuff but that's not what makes The Liquor Box going out of the way for. Now, Liquor Box isn't perfect. The prices are a touch higher and many of the beers have no prices so it's a bit of a guessing game as to what you're paying until you get rung up. But unless you plan on going to the individual breweries, paying a little more for convenience is AOK with me. If you enjoy drinking locally brewed beer and are looking to find a good concentration of it, The Liquor Box is your place.
