This is the second time items were delivered to my house that I never ordered. A few weeks ago, some fish fertilizer was dropped on my front porch - no name or address on it. Today someone from Walmart dropped off a bunch of planting pots and gardening stuff in my back yard. Again no address or identifying information. I managed to track the first 'drop off' to a neighbor on a different street. For today's drop off, I called a neighbor I thought may have ordered something like this but they did not. I tried to call Walmart in Old Bridge twice and was not connected to anyone because they were busy. It was suggested that I call back later. There wasn't even a voice mail that I could leave my telephone number for someone to call me back. I already called twice and am not wasting anymore time trying to reach someone. First off, I had to come here to return a purchase made online. The online product purchased was returned for false advertising. A seller on Walmart showed the product pictured and details for the item and then sent a different model. I was told by an employee this was OK because it's not technically Walmart. So afterwards, I bought a few things I needed since I was there already. Went to checkout (I'm not that talkative with people usually) said Hello and no response. The wife, kids and I came here on our formula adventure day recently! My wife tracks the formula shortage like CRAZY! She has a few websites alert her whenever our kids formula shows up on shelves. She ordered a few from a few Walmart's across northern NJ. Then one day. We did it! We went to like 6 all over the place to pick it 1-2 at each of them... For those of you that do not know, there is a massive formula shortage across the US. A plant somewhere was forced to shut down due to 2 kids dying from the formula made there or something. Every parent went crazy, over bought like crazy. Our president then sent millions of cans of formula to the border to share with Mexico for some reason... While kids here could not eat... But I digress. This was one of the Walmart's that my wife pre ordered from. She walked in, got the 1 that she ordered, she saw that they had more on display. She was limited to 5 small ones which last 2-3 days. She got them. I walked in after, got 5 more. This is about a months supply. All in all, a decent Walmart, we didn't spend much time here, just quick in and out! read more

Totally misleading as I reside in Staten Island and their website clearly stated that they had five boxes of cereal that my children wanted. They would not or confirm over the phone and said I had to come in and they have to paying $16 for the toll only to find out they did not have any in stock. I've never been to a Walmart in my life and I never will ever again. Don't believe what they put on their websites as it's pure propaganda and that's why they're not allowed in New York City. There is an African American young girl at the customer service counter who told me the money gram machine was down. She has done this to us several times. We come in and she tells us the machine is down. We came back in 5 minutes later and there was a different employee at the counter. We asked for money gram and he said "sure!" Which means that the machine was working and the girl just didn't feel like doing it. She was taking to a group of employees so I'm guessing she didn't want to be bothered. read more

I purchased tires online from Walmart website and brought to Walmart on Route 9 in Old Bridge to have them installed. When I went to pick up my vehicle, a couple of rims on my car were damaged. I brought it to the attention of the manager Hector who proceeded to say it wasn't his machine. I never said it was a machine it could have been from the lack of care handling rims. I proceeded to make a report with the corporate office , to which I was informed by the manager tgey would review the video. Well low and behold no video could be located. I was not compensated at all for the damage to my property because there was no video. To say the least the manager Hector is absolutely horrible. This is very likely the worst Walmart in NJ, and trust me, I'm a bit of a Walmart connoisseur. I've actively seeked out multiple Walmarts around the state in search of the worst one with my friends. Why? Because we love people-watching mostly. There's sort of a special charm about a Walmart being very poorly run that is a bit satisfying to watch unfold. It's kind of like watching a human zoo. Now, listen, this isn't to say that this Walmart doesn't have its benefits, either. It has everything that you would expect it to have and therefore serves its purpose as a Walmart. Many Walmarts have gotten upgraded to a bigger version with a larger grocery and produce section, while this one was left in its original form. When you visit, you will often find many items out of place. You'll see a lack of registers open, or staff being unable to deal with the mayhem. Many items are shoplifted here, as you'll see from packages torn to shreds on shelves. Crates and boxes are askew in the aisles. The Walmart is open late and therefore is convenient for all of your Walmart necessities. This is all suffice to say that I'm a frequent visitor for its cheap prices. They often run a great deal on Nestle water bottles (35 pack for $4)! read more

The Indian guy that's always at the self checkouts is always so rude. I accidentally went to a card only register and I literally say "oh excuse me this definitely can't take cash?" He pretends not to hear I repeat and he says angrily "can you read????!!" Referring to the small sign I didn't notice and I didn't say anything back. He goes "u read???!!" And makes an obnoxious reading motion. What I like to wonder is why this particular group of people aged 50+ get a pass for being rude af? And unless you want to get verbally assaulted, don't dare ask an associate if they have a particular product. On 12/13/2022, I was at the Walmart in Old Bridge-Rt#9 to do some maintenance on my vehicle. While I was there, I walked up to the window and texted my wife to let her know where I was and snapped a photo of my vehicle on the lift. An employee told me I couldn't take pictures of my vehicle in the service area. I then asked her where it was posted that pictures are not allowed, and she responded, " it's the store policy " I said if it's not posted, then it's not against store policy. She then called a manager, and then things got out of control.. The male manager was Arrogant, Nasty, and tried to talk over me and had a bullying attitude. He also stated I couldn't take pictures, and I advised him to show me where it's posted ,and he couldn't. So I called Walmart Corporate and spoke with an employee there. I asked him if Walmart has a policy about not taking pictures of my vehicle while it was in the service area, and he said No, there is no policy against taking a photo of my vehicle while it's in the service area. He apologized for my bad experience and stated he would file a complaint on my behalf on that store and the manager. As I was about to leave, the manager had the P.O. waiting there, and he tried to bully me again in front of the P.O. I advised him that I had already spoken to Walmart Corporate, and there was no policy against taking a picture and that I was fine doing it. The manager then made a stupid remark. He said " when one of his employees feels there's a hostile work environment I must address it" My response was " How did I create a hostile work environment by taking a 2 second photo of my vehicle in the service area, then walking away? " His answer, " well, I have to address my employees' concerns " in his cocky and arrogant voice. I then advised him to stop lying about a policy that doesn't exist. And, I advised him that I am a recently retired P.O. of 30 years, and I've dealt with a lot of people, and I know a bully when I see one. Unfortunately, many employees want to push their beliefs on people which are not policy or law, just feelings. The main store hours say until 11pm. The hours for pharmacy, pickup, etc are different and its clearly stated on the website and in the store. What is NOT clearly stated ANYWHERE, Is that customer service leaves at 9pm. So I loaded 3 big heavy items in my truck and drove there at 945pm and then found out. When I asked the keyholder why, he said "its always been that way" - ok maybe its tribal knowledge but how does a shopper know this? Even more curious is why "always been that way.." doesn't illicit or provoke thought, like "hmm why ARE we doing that!? Maybe its wrong!?..." and be the spark for change/fix... Also i stood there 15 min before anyone cared, during covid and now i have to load/unload truck with a bad back 2x more, plus be subject to covid again. Walmart gave me a label insufficient to send back a BIKE by maiL (usps lol) or id call fedex to come pick up at my home.. read more

Literally hate this walmart. I always take my kids with me and they like to see the fish in the tanks. But it's sad because almost all the fish are always dead!! Please don't go to this Walmart for their optical services. I took my daughter for an eye/contact exam. She has been wearing the Equate brand for a few years. I heard that this brand was changing but they said no, it was available. I ordered them. After 6 days, I called and they said no they didn't come in. At 9 days, I called and the guy who answered the phone kept putting me on hold. Very rude. Finally, the manager came on. He said they don't have that brand anymore. Said I would need to get another brand. Almost the same prescription just a slight difference in the BC. He said I can come in for samples. I was very upset that nobody called to tell me this. Walmart always prided themselves about having "Good customer Service" This starts from the top. I went to this Walmart and literally walked around for awhile to see who can help me. When I finally saw a "yellow" coat which is management, I was surprised how he didn't know the answer and was quick to brush me off. I worked at Walmart years ago where I was taught that the customers matter. You go the extra mile for them. I'm disappointed in the manager at this walmart. Upon late arrival to my walmart the pick up center closes at 8pm. When directed to see him for assistance he immediately told me he couldn't help find my order all while he sipped his ice coffee. I told him I called he says that's why they didn't answer I said I called the store not the pick up center. When I ask why when I ordered an item it says that I could pick it up today . He stated I needed a confirmation email. I expressed to him that I didn't get any emails and wasn't looking for an email just an explanation as to why it says you can pick it up today when you place the order but actually can't. He became arrogant and said you can't pick it up I explained that I realized that that that wasn't the issue. He continues to approach me as I walk away. I told him I was walking away and he didn't need to argue with me I'd be back tomorrow then I turn an walk away he starts humming the them to the twilight zone. I get that it's a Walmart... which is not exactly known for their overwhelming customer service. But this is the crappiest place to shop. They are ALWAYS out of stock on anything I go there for. They don't have a meat department, the employees are barely breathing, and don't give two shits about actually helping a customer. Waited to be helped by the jewelry for 20 mins, on top of barely having what I needed. Asked 2 different employees, the one kid was basically useless, he said he was going to go page someone, a few mins went by, found out he went over and was talking to I would assume was either his family or friends. Went up to another person, she said she was going to page someone. Waited another 10 mins. Finally went up to the person at the front door for them to tell me to check by the fitting rooms there should be someone there. So we went there.. there was two ladies just standing there talking. Asked them to help. Finally 5 mins later a lady comes over to help. The total lack of customer service is astounding. I work for a grocery store, I know that times get busy and work has to get done--- but the customer ALWAYS comes first. It's like nobody here has the ambition to help anyone. No matter what time of day it is I go here, it's never a good experience. I only come here because it's closer to my home, but would definately go to the Walmart that is 5-10 mins up the road, and get a tad bit better service. I purchased a 2.5 pound pkg of ground beef at the Walmart on Rt 18 in Old Bridge, NJ on 6/6/2020 - discovered the meat was spoiled when I got home. Attempted to return the product as well as a separate purchase of children's clothing, to the same store the following week - was told they could not accept the return until after restrictions related to the Covid 19 pandemic were lifted. Returned to the same store again on 6/20/2020 and was informed I should request a credit or return label online. Found no such information on Walmart's website and called their customer service people this morning - 6/21/2020. Initially was told that I should received an email within an hour. Upon receiving no email I called the customer service people again - this time they informed me that they could only process return labels for Walmart.com purchases but not for in-store purchases and that I should contact the store directly. They provided the same phone number for the store that appears on the receipt. The automated message on the store # has a few options - the most pertinent option was for other - which no one answers after multiple attempts. The whole process of buying tires with the "site to store" internet purchasing method has been aggravating, disjointed and unprofessional. Their prices are the best so I guess you have to live with aggravation? 1) Ordered online and waited for confirmation email to pick up tires. I get the confirmation email at 9:37 AM on April 7 saying that the tires are "ready for pickup". Then at 6:06 PM the SAME DAY I get an email that says the tire have shipped to the store and will be there by April 14th!?!? 2) I called the store to see what the real story is. Calling the store, it rings and rings and rings - no one picks up. I call back and finally someone picks up and transfers me to "someone" and after waiting a long time - no one picks up. I hang up! Look up Tire Center phone number and call there - rings, rings, rings, rings - finally someone picks up. And to determine if my tires are there was like a special project that required special skills and a master's degree! Finally, someone with special powers determines that yes, my tires are there. My plan was to pick them up on Saturday, which was OK per the specialist. 3) I wasn't able to go on Saturday and wanted to go on Sunday. The Auto Center hours ARE NOT listed on the website and they ask you to call for hours. (Why the hours can't be listed on the website is beyond me!) I call the Auto Center - rings, rings, rings, rings - finally picks up and again it takes someone with special powers to confirm that I can pick up on Sunday. 4) I go on Sunday to pickup and bring my printed out "pickup is ready" email as instructed in the email. The email says "Go to the store's Tire & Lube Express counter/Auto Care Center counter", which I do. I wait for a gentleman in front of me to get his order written-up which entails finding out what tires he needs, what tires they have, where they go (he's buying 2 - front or back), etc. There is a language barrier between the customer and the counter guy so what should take one sentence takes four or five or more! The counter guy is somehow locked out of the computer system and has to call a technician off the work floor to log into the system - and this happens twice because the guy logged himself out by accident! So after waiting for this freak show to complete, it is finally my turn. I say: "I'm here to pickup my tires that I bought online". They say: "You have to go to the site to store counter". I show them the printout that says: "Go to the store's Tire & Lube Express counter/Auto Care Center counter". They say: "Yes, every other store let's you pick-up in the auto center but here you have to go to the site to store counter". 5) Off to the site to store counter. Find it and there is a woman customer standing there looking befuddled! Why? It says: "Push the touch screen to get started and summon an associate". She asks me: "Where's the touch screen". I look around quickly and THERE ARE NO TOUCH SCREENS! A janitor with a broom and a trash-can comes walking by, so I ask him if he can get someone to help us. (I have a loud voice) Must have woken up the associate in the back, because presto she pops out and is suddenly at the counter. She helps the lady first, and then it's my turn. Go through the process, which includes her calling the auto center to confirm that the tires are there. (You know, the tires that I got an email telling me that they are there!) So just more wasted time - apparently the customer's time really doesn't matter! I made the site to store associate aware of the difficulties and incongruities involved in the store's process and while she was apologetic, don't see where she would be able (or want) to improve anything! 6) So back to the auto center to PICK UP MY TIRES! They were ready to go. Get them home and start removing the packing tape, which is wrapped around each tire with "site to store", printed on the tape. When you remove the tape it leaves residue all over the tires where it is stuck to the tires. So now it's break out the Goo-Gone to remove all of the residue left by the cheap "site to store" tape! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. When there to get a prescription filled with my 87 year old grandmother in law. The pharmacy staff were rude and even decided to close the pharmacy for lunch even though the sign said it wasn't due to close for another 15 mins. Then they couldn't figure out her Blue Cross insurance leaving us to call blue cross and then speak to the woman there. We ended up going over to the Walmart on Route 18 in East Brunswick and received excellent fast service there Avoid this walmart at all cost and head to another walmart. read more
