I buy the Swad brands, frankly I have not been unhappy with anything I have bought. Prices are reasonable and produce dept has everything I need. I guess you get to a certain age where when you go grocery shopping, its "your time" to relax, walk the aisles and purchase new things. I will tell you this.... Swad Gulab Jamun in the can, is really tasty, I have no idea how to make the by hand, so the canned brand is the way to go. Also, we are huge fans of the Deep brand cocktail samosas (50) to a bag and super easy to heat up and have for dinner when you don't want a big dinner and the Swad brand coriander chutney is perfect. Anyway- sometimes you need to venture out and try new markets- Patel Brothers is one of my favorites.

Actually quite apt for the surroundings. BJ's as with largely all membership clubs makes their profit on memberships with a minimal markup on goods but what serperates them is selection, freshness, customer service and peripheral services all of which BJ's rank last in. Spend the extra dollars, drive those extra miles and just sign up at Costco and you'll see the difference while enjoying the luxury of not having to look over your shoulder in the parking lot. You'll thank me later.

This is a pretty solid BJ's all things considered…read more Listen, its not your fault you're awkwardly located on a major, and lets just be honest, ugly highway BJ's. Nor is it your fault that a majority of your clientele seem...wellllll rude is a good adjective to throw in here. You are doing so much right and its only fair that someone points out the good along with all of those pointing out the bad *Ample parking. Like for real, you can squeeze oh so many Jersians AND New Yorkers into your parking lot* *Quality of inventory - you had legit everything I was looking for, and OH so much more, but then again that's the point right? Who could say no to ~2.2 pounds of unsalted peanuts for 8$?! *Preorder deli mobile app - yep, you can order your white American extra thinly sliced cheese and it'll be ready when you finally make it back to the Deli** *You're 5 minutes from my house - I live on the good side of the tracks, but thankfully there is a small road to get me over here to the seedy side so I can say hey to you! So yeah, you've got a good thing going on BJ's. Sure you could probably light the store a bit better, and YES Costco*** has better frozen food (have I mentioned I will be dying of a frozen pizza induced heart attack some day soon?), but still, I am so happy that you're so close to me. You can absolutely bet that I will be back for an 84 pack of seltzer soon, and maybe a 84" 8.5k 4D TV as I know you'll have both in stock waiting for me. ____________ *SO many NY plates at this BJ's - is the one in Staten really that ba...oh right, never mind. **Which of course will take an hour or so...because yeah there's a lot of inventory and my gerbille like attention span goes insane in any Wearhouse-esque store. ***They also don't accept American Express, and as such, are literally dead to me.

The service here is absolutely abysmal…read more I came to grab some allergy meds- which are behind a locked glass door. I had to push the assistance button FOUR times for someone to come over. Actually, the second time a worker came, messed with the door a little, and gave up and told me to try again. Next, the store does not take Apple Pay. In an age where everyone takes tap to pay, this was an inconvenience for me since I was just stopping in and running out. I didn't have my wallet on me. They don't even have Tap to Pay at checkout. Lastly, the Pokemon card line. There was a rude older man who basically asked some girl if she could count when she asked how many people were on line. Not only was that comment uncalled for, but it was borderline sexist. Overall, I will be going out of my way to never go to this Walmart again. I've gotten great service at other locations, so I'm not sure what the issue is here.
