I love Trader Joe's! They're clearly my favorite Specialty grocery store by a longshot! They carry some very distinct, incredibly, flavorful selections! What I like the most about them is they carry the most delicious, sinful, succulent, desserts, while at the same time having some of the best tasting, healthy snacks you can find anywhere! Also, very important is I think they have the best produce, when compared to all of the other supermarkets. Some of my favorites include their spinach and kale Greek yogurt dip! I couldn't go on a diet without this stuff! Also, any of their little square brownies are to die for! Their maple leaf cookies are really just amazing, and there's so many more. I put some pictures of my favorites here in this review. I really don't like to go shopping, but I always tagalong when we go here! You can tell a lot of the shoppers are there also for the healthy goodness and wholesome ingredients! Staff member very rude - main entrance doors were open about 4 inches, so I thought they weren't working. As soon as I attempted to open the door, a man ran over and abruptly slammed the doors closed then opened them and made a rude comment. After apologizing for thinking the doors were broken, he stormed off with an attitude. Working as a night nurse, I interact with people throughout my shift and it would be nice to see people extend a bit of grace and understanding from time to time. read more

Always the best place to buy random meals for the family to try. Got a beautiful plant, bunch of frozen dinners, the puffs are a must try - they are so good! This particular location was short staffed. Couldn't find anyone when I had a question & also the beauty/personal care isle was tiny. I went there looking for the TikToc famous cream but there wasn't there. Only a quarter of the isle was for personal care. I did buy a great shampoo bar of soap & it is amazing! Definitely ditching the shampoo bottles for this bar. I think it's called Mermaid shampoo. Great buy. I like this Trader Joe's but would love to visit a bigger location. read more

Trader Joe's is now in place of the old Walgreens at Pond Rd., Plaza. They carry fresh produce, frozen foods and have many excellent specialty items such as Sriracha chips. They carry mostly their own food brands. I personally love getting fresh whole coffee beans to make cold brew. Their artesian bread is on par with Whole Foods but without the cost. I find basic items such as alternative dairy products, breads, and eggs to be at exceptionally cheaper prices compared to Whole Foods and on par when Wegmans are having those items on sale. read more

This is a really nice Trader Joe's. Large, spacious, well-stocked, and super friendly employees. Our little one has been offered stickers before at other stores, but at this one, they even got him a personalized name tag sticker, which was pretty great. Also, unlike so many Trader Joe's, they had a large parking lot with plenty of space. Would return when in the area. read more

Every time I go out here it's like a kid in a Candy store. There's always some thing new... they're exciting to try that is most likely going to be delectable. So happy to finally have a Trader Joe's in the area. I believe the store opened this past Friday and it looks spectacular. When a store is new, I usually expect the staff to not be fully trained or less knowledgeable but that was not the case here. I had an extremely easy and seamless check out experience with my cashier Elaine (sorry if I spelt this wrong!) and I loved the cart guys who handed me a cart as I entered and helped me put the cart back as I was leaving. The selection in the store is what you would expect from a Trader Joe's. The layout of the store is very open and they have large aisles so people can navigate around with ease. I will be back to do my shopping every week. read more

I love Trader Joe's as a company ; any store I've gone into has always had an exceptional staff and wonderfully stocked store . When you ask a crew member if you need a particular item they go out of their way to find you an answer . A welcomed addition to the various grocery stores in the Freehold area, Trader Joe's is a neighborhood grocery store that carries great food and drink from around the globe and around the corner. Most everything that can be found in a major grocery store can be found at Trader Joe's. Although the store and selection may appear to be minimalistic, staple items like bread, milk and eggs can be found along with ethic, specialty and local foods. Fresh cut flowers, produce, fresh herbs, dairy, organic items, frozen foods, boxed and frozen meals, fresh meats and fish, breads, baked goods, cereals, grains, baking essentials, coffee, teas, cookies, sauces, spices, snacks and chocolate, are just some of the items to be found. Good selection for organic items, vegan and vegetarian items, ethic foods, baked goods and snacks. Definitely Google "what's good at Trader Joe's" to find the latest and the best items to get/try at Trader Joe's. Opened in September of 2020, this TJ's has spacious isles and a friendly and helpful staff. Shop early to avoid the crowds and to maintain social distancing. This location is much bigger then locations I've been to in the past. It does tend to get really busy but I was still able to find what I needed. I love checking out random items that they have and trying new things. I really enjoy there chai tea concentrate and If you've never tried it definetly buy it. They also have really cute & cheap greeting cards. I wouldn't necessarily go here for my standard shopping but I do enjoy trying there new items here and there ! read more

If it wasn't for TJ's, I would have either starved in college or gained a boatload of weight from fast food. Trader Joes inspired me to me to cook. 19 years later, this brand new one opens up right in my neighborhood. I am welcomed by a smile behind a mask who cleans and hands me my cart. This was my first time in here since the place opened, and it was great to relive those good memories, as very TJs is almost identical. This one is clean, shelves fully stocked, and lots of friendly helpers around, eager to make sure you find what you are looking for. I'll be frequenting this place on my grocery stop now. Probably some of the rudest employees. I've walked into many Trader Joe's and always had pleasant experiences. Many employees are extremely friendly and greet you when entering or arriving at the check out at many locations. This place is a different story. I tend to go at 8 am and that seems to be the time they are restocking shelves. Consider this a warning, DO NOT get in the employees way when stocking! They have large crates near the bread and baked goods and hard to get in to grab items. They will not move if you are looking for something and they are on a mission. Although I love Trader Joe's and the seasonal items, I'll reconsider a visit here and drive to Shrewsbury or even North Brunswick. read more

This Trader Joe's is good, but probably not the best Trader Joe's! The store is small, and there is not much selection! I usually go to the one by me in North Brunswick, which is bigger, and has a better selection than this one! I did find some frozen meals that I did like and maybe a banana and some apples, but there really wasn't much here! They also are not very stocked very well, as everything I wanted they weren't stocked yet, and I had to ask someone, and they had to bring what I wanted from the back of the store! This place is new, so hopefully they do well, but I was not impressed with this location! read more

We now have a perfect 15 Miles of Rte 9- from BJs in Old Bridge, Whole Foods, Aldi and Livoti's in Marlboro, and Wegmans and the new TJ in Freehold. Reminder that TJ's sells their own amazing brands and sadly does not have liquor at this location (go to Princeton or Westfield) but all your favorites are there - Everything Bagel seasoning, dip and lox- the amazing sauces, salsas and frozen offerings and great candies and meat. Staff is amazing- go after 7pm and it's almost a dance party because the music is so good! Clean and all Covid protection is followed! read more

What a game changer! Who would have thought that food shopping would be a pleasure : ) Trader Joes just opened up in Freehold NJ and I visited today and was so impressed with the quality and variety of the products and great customer service. Each register had a cashier so there was no waiting in line and lots of employees walking around so you can ask for assistance. A large selection of vegetarian and vegan items. Just tried their vegetable spring rolls, vegetarian gyoza and vegetarian samosas, all yummy. Looking forward to my next food shopping trip. read more

Visisted Trader Joe's at least four or five times since the opening. I'm hooked. I really like it very much. The people are friendly, efficient and the quality of everything I have purchased so far ha s been excellent. I find the prices very reasonable. My new go to grocery. And I can pick up awesome fresh flowers for a great price. read more

Customer service was not good here. Cashier woman named Renee was extremely rude and commented on my appearance and what I was wearing. I'm sorry but no one as an employee should comment on what a customer wears. Rude is an understatement, Renee, if you plan on keeping your job be nicer to customers. read more

Thank goodness Trader Joe's opened up so close to home! I have been hoping it would come to us and it has. The food is great, the employees are kind, welcoming, and helpful.
