Omg, I can't wait until our Wegman's in Cranberry Twp, PA opens in 2027...but in the meantime when I travel I love if I happen to be staying near one. This was my first visit to Wegman's in Princeton, NJ. Someone else was correct in their review saying that the parking lot is crazy. Please be careful & look ALL ways, especially elderly folks. There are cars literally coming from all directions and then of course people walking behind you and in front of you and beside you it's quite the zoo (and this was a non-holiday Sunday morning! ). I had placed an order on the Wegmans app while I was at my hotel for pick up at 11:30am. My app said to go inside to the curbside to go sign to get my food. Maybe I missed it but at the other Wegmans, there was even a sign outside indicating where the food to go department was located... I did not see that on the outside of this building but I could've missed it. Also, once inside I headed to where the prepared foods were, but I also saw no sign indicating food to go, only catering. I asked two women at the bakery counter & they had conflicting answers one pointing me to one end of the store and saying I had to drive up in my car to pick it up and the other pointing towards catering. Since my app did not indicate that I was picking up curbside in a car, I headed towards catering, and that was indeed where the to go food was located. It was 11:20am & my food was ready & in the cooler. They bagged it for me and I was on my way. I didn't have the time to walk around inside this Wegmans, but it looked pretty standard for the store. My favorite part about Wegmans is the massive prepared food/made to order/restaurant section. On this particular trip, I was getting my husband a large Danny's favorite sub to take home, and for myself I got a protein turkey wheat wrap with veggies & a fruit bowl for my 5 hour road trip & a Wegman's brand dragonfruit vitamin water. Wegman's is the Cadillac of grocery stores. No other store compares. You really have to experience one to understand the concept. read more

It's been 13 years, and I still LOVE this store. It's gotten even better, and I miss it so much. Still great service, and a clean, bright atmosphere. This is one of the best super market brands to go to if you live on the East Coast. Not only does Wegmans overall have the best pricing, but the quality of the products is outstanding. More affordable than most of the other big name brands such as Safeway or Shop Rite. The service is always usually good at Wegmans as well as the variety of food to choose from. They can make you fresh sandwiches, pizza, sushi, asian cuisine etc. The ambiance at this location is also really fun since the inside of the supermarket has its own unique designs to make you think you're walking through a town. Finally the best and most important part of this supermarket is the size of it. This supermarket is huge and has so much variety in everything to choose from its almost impossible to pass up on so much. They have an undeserved reputation for being expensive but that's false. A lot of their prices are actually cheaper than your traditional grocery store chains. Living on the West Coast, I miss Wegmans. Their house brand has always been decent, and they have all types of different brands, both national and regional. Of all the regional supermarket brands across the country I've visited, Wegmans is at the top. They have everything I need, and they have international goodies, which is nice for a diverse area like the Princeton/Plainsboro community they serve. The staff at this Wegmans has always treated me well, and my most recent experience at this location when visiting this old haunt topped it all. We had the most pleasant, kind cashier I've ever experienced. With plenty of registers open, there were hardly any lines. When we got into her line, she cheered and applauded. She had a giant smile on her face, and was extremely kind. She was a superstar! I wish I could remember her name, because she deserves a special shoutout. read more

Taking a page directly from the "Mission Accomplished" PR playbook where you claim victory before anyone has time to assemble the facts, this much celebrated supermarket chain is currently running advertising that claims food inflation is over... so please come back, the water's fine. I shop here a minimum of once a week and while I love their commitment to quality and service my market basket of center aisle staples is still on the rise, in many cases, precipitously so. Wegmans, please don't insult my intelligence. Food prices have risen nearly 40% since 2020 and are still ascending... and according to my wallet, that calculus feels about right. Since moving out of the area, I've missed Wegman's quite a lot. I used to do tons of shopping at this branch and it was always my go to store. When I came back to the area for a recent trip, I decided to stop in for some snacks and groceries. Man, this place is still amazing. Shopping here is always an awesome experience and this time was no different. The selection of produce, sushi, deli meats, snacks and organics is phenomenal. The staff are helpful and welcoming, and overall it's just a comfortable store to walk around. I have to say, I really love the variety of unique and unusual items they stock. It really makes shopping more interesting than at my usual supermarkets back home. I'm the worst with impulse buys and this place gets me every time. Roasted chick peas with Indian spices, yucca chips, exotic cheese from France. I'm in! Can't go wrong shopping at Wegmans. First time ordering catering from Wegmans and I was not impressed. The cake looks like it was done in five minutes. The picture cut out was super tiny and looks like it was cut out by a five-year-old. The script was awful. It looks like I got it from Walmart. Literally bought another cake. The adventure began in the car park, which can only be described as chaotic neutral. Vehicles moved in every possible direction at once, their drivers seemingly guided not by lanes or logic but by pure instinct. At one point, I found myself circling for so long I half expected to need refueling before even entering the store. In Somerset, we park on quiet cobblestone streets beside a modest green grocer. Here, it felt more like preparing for a military campaign. Upon finally entering, I stood frozen for a moment, struck dumb by the sheer scale of the place. It is not a grocery store, it is a cathedral to consumer choice. There are entire aisles dedicated to yogurt. Rows upon rows of bread, each claiming to be the most "artisanal." A cheese section so vast it appeared to have its own weather system. I even discovered an olive bar, which feels like something the Roman Empire might have built just before collapsing. The prepared foods section was particularly astonishing, sushi, pizza, roast chickens, even a café serving lattes and pastries. At one point, I began to worry I might never find the exit and would instead spend the remainder of my exile wandering among the gluten-free muffins, slowly losing my grip on time. And yet, despite the overwhelming abundance, it's rather wonderful. The staff are cheerful, the produce gleams as though polished, and there is a sense of optimism in every aisle, as if the American dream itself has been refrigerated for freshness. In the end, I emerged victorious, clutching a reusable bag filled with groceries and existential questions. I've been coming to Wegmans for over 17 years because of the selection, prices and consistent customer service. Today I noticed one of the elderly customers was lost and couldn't find his car. I approached one of the Helping Hand employees Jason and told him the situation and he so kindly and patiently helped this gentleman find his car which was way back in the parking lot. He even showed him how to press on the correct button to find his car. I was so impressed with his kind and helpful character. I placed an online purchase from Wegmans, today. In doing so I was informed via text that Samantha was outside with my order. However, when the order arrived it was a man not a woman. I am really concern about this. I need this issue to be address with Instacart because it is very dangerous. The gentleman didn't speak any English and could not communicate with me. The picture that was sent to me indicated that Samantha would delivering my order. The picture was a Caucasian female with glasses not a Spanish man. I don't know what I did before Wegmans. I always thought Wegmans was so expensive until I moved nearby. I thought I would give it a shot since my best friend swears by them. The prices are so reasonable and much cheaper than when I shopped at Shoprite or Stop&Shop. The store is always clean and well kept and full of friendly employees. I am a vegetarian and I frequent the meat substitute aisle. The prices here for all meat substitutes are better by far than any other grocery store I have been to. The bakery has incredible cupcakes and other treats. The cannoli dip tray was really great and perfect thing to bring to a party. There is also a massive selection of wine, beer, ciders etc. and that is hard to come by here in NJ. I can't say enough good things about this store. I won't shop anywhere else. read more

Who doesn't love a Wegmans! Honestly you could do your entire holiday shopping including getting what you need for your meal. I love the selection. They have so many options that are presented in a way that makes cooking seem easy for those that get a nervous to put their culinary skills to use. The only downside to Wegmans is that it can be pricy. I love the idea of getting my veggies cut but its an extra $7.99 per pound to do so. That's kind of crazy considering they are probably paying the person $10-$15 an hour to cut up items. It would be nice if this was service offered without the extreme price hike. I do like the hot bar that is available but again the price is kind of crazy, $9 something a pound! Doesn't make financial sense to get from there. I have been using this location to grab lunch. They have a great combo deal. Medium sandwich or wrap, side of soup and a fountain soda for $9. The soup alone is $4. This is totally the way to go to get a great deal on lunch! read more

I'm use to the Wegmans in manalapan more so, so it was difficult to find everything I needed just cause of not knowing the aisles as well. This is my favorite Wegmans. I live 40 minutes away and I still drive all the way here...because it feels like home. If that makes sense. The cashiers are always friendly. They have a good stock of organic fruits and veggies. The sushi is so good for grocery sushi. I wasn't aware that a trip to the grocery store could be so therapeutic. If you go at off-times you can avoid the people traffic as you go down the lanes. I try to go early on Saturday or late on Friday. It's a ghost town in a great way. I love Wegman's guacamole too! Try some next time you are there. Also, out of all the grocery store bathrooms I've had the pleasure of going to, Wegman's is always clean! They have their brand of soaps that you can try and if you like you can purchase it in the store. I love you Wegmans! ;) read more

Most recent shopping at wegmans princeton was outrageous. Went for help at the customer service, what a nasty sarcastic poor attitude lady. Store was dirty, bathroom which was just cleaned, still had wet floors. Prices have gone up a greater percent than other stores. ! Quality no better than walmart,, and walmart is more polite. Walmart employee actually polite and will walk you to what you need. Why pay more, have bad attitude service and wet bathroom floor. Also, after my customer service experience, a "special forces" person followed me through the store. Outside the store, "special forces" told me not to return to the store. I just had the worst experience ordering a sandwich at wegmans in the deli section. The guy had such an attitude, no wonder why there was no one in line! He was rude and clearly didn't want to work. He even rolled his eyes at me when I ordered my sandwich. If he doesn't want work there, he should just request to transfer to another department or just leave. I frequent the Wegman's in Manalapan but love the Princeton better. Here the staff is much for helpful and their prepared foods are fresher. When I go to the Manalapan store, if I have a question, most are helpful but there's a few crabby eggs there. They roll their eyes and act like I'm bothering them. I've tried their prepared foods at Manalapan and I always feel they are a bit dry. I tried Princeton's prepared food and actually found it moist! Wonderful! The store is fine, the produce is usually fresh and they have a decent meet counter. The down side is they get you use to a product then faze it out for their own brand which is never the same. All Wegmans are wonderful, with really great staff and amazing selection of items, especially produce! Their prices may not always be the most competitive, but they certainly make up for it in the experience. I've read article upon article on how their culture makes all their people happy to be at work, and you can feel it at every location. This location is very conveniently located in a big shopping area. Granted, there are parts of this shopping center that get real crowded real easily, but this side of it isn't quite so bad. Wegmans on Centerton Burlington has bad produce , the berries have mold and even onions are black on the inside. Cut fruits got all slushy and bad in 2 days in the fridge. I scan the parking lot frantically. There's about 10 SUVs in the parking lot. Each huge. Each black. Each gleaming in the sun. They all look the same. Crap. I hike my pants up and start moving from car to car, peering in the windows, praying I won't set off any alarms. This is what my brother likes to call fun. As I try to locate his black Dodge Durango in the Wegman's parking lot, my brother is laughing in the front seat, the AC on full blast, while 90's jams pump on the radio. My sister is not impressed. my sister: "You know she doesn't know what your car looks like...." my brother: "Uh...I've had the same car for two years now!....It's about time she remembers what it looks like. I'm teaching her an important life lesson." A good 10 minutes go by. I'm about to give up. I call them on my phone. My clothes are sticky, and the ice-cream in my shopping cart is beginning to melt. My sister finally picks up. my sister: "' (sigh) We're on the right. Just walk straight ahead....this game is getting really old!" Me: "Tell me about it! " I begin to unload our cart. The ten minutes of parking lot frenzy barely phase me, because we now have a trunk full of Wegman's groceries. ************************************************************ Growing up we were a Shoprite house. Eugh. I hated Shoprite. The food never tasted fresh and all of the Shoprite brand stuff was lame. Their neon lighting would give me a headache and it was always cart banging, swearing chaos. But it was close, and my mom had this thing against Pennington Market. So Shoprite dictated much of my elementary school diet... But...once college rolled around...it was a whole new shopping playing field. We graduated to Wegmans. Wegmans was and is supermarket genius. All those taunts about New Jersey being the armpit of America - puhlease - have you met Wegmans? Wegman's could whoop Safeway, Shaw's, and could probably upper cut Trader Joe's (well maybe not Trader Joe's...Trader Joe's is pretty smooth, and would probably do a fake-out) too. Wegmans does NJ proud. Their main draw is their affordable ready-made gourmet items. Everything is exceptional. Their fruit and vegetables glow, and the fish and meat department always have marinade and cooking tips to offer. It's foodie utopia... not to mention every house-wife's dream. In fact, with a nursery in house, and a liquor store next store, I have a feeling that most who enter Wegman's don't want to go home. Wegman's was my go to spot for Cozy Shack butterscotch pudding, fresh olives, and angel food cake In between spoonfuls of pudding and smushed angel food cake, I'd get comfortable on the couch, grab a pen and start writing my next grocery list. The rest of the store is recognizable as a large grocery with diversity and good price, but it is not likely to bring the laureate out in you, unless saving money moves your soul. No. It is the opportunity to browse, dine and then shop, all in one place that makes the magic happen. It works because it provides what a trip to a village market did in yesteryear - a Come One, Come All market day in the town square, where you can actually enjoy yourself, feed yourself and family, and secure the basic necessities; all in one place, at the same time, and in a comfortable environment. I typically don't like Wegmans, but I liked this location. I typically go to the one in Manalapan, but I was in the area so I decided to check this place out. The grocery store is huge, like most Wegmans, but it's easier to navigate, and it's smaller than the one by me. It's still not super clean of a supermarket, but the food supply was huge. They have a good number of aisles. They do have a great meat selection. They have everything I need here! They even have kosher meat, which is something I can barely find anywhere! They have a great selection, and amazing food! Really impressed. Maybe Wegmans has changed my mind! read more

Not sure why my previous review was removed because I took a lot of time to explain why this place isn't worth your time, but let me summarize. -The parking stinks. No matter what time of day. They designed it so there's nowhere near as many spots as they needed, so nothing convenient about it. -Next, there is nowhere to wait for anyone who is shopping so you can pick them up. Another poor design. -They do have an area where you "could" potentially wait but it's reserved for the "handy helpers" which no one uses. If you wait there after 2 minutes of waiting they send out their little managers to ask you to leave. Really ? No one else is here ! If your store was better organized I wouldn't have to wait. -The foyer smells like cinnamon. Not just a little bit but blasting, which is great because I'm allergic to it. -The prices are higher than everywhere else. -The place is pretentious. Just like my other Wegmans reviews, this location deserves 5 stars. No wait 10 stars. 50 stars. Like... 30,000 fucking stars. Wegmans is to food what I imagine Jesus is to Christianity. Although I don't know much about that. I'm not a Christian. Still, like any man of faith my strongest belief is that Wegmans is the most amazing place in the world. Better than Disneyland. Better than the Red Light District in Amsterdam. Instead of thrill rides and giant stuffed animals or hookers and coke you can get high on their amazing sandwiches (oh man, the breads they bake...) and pay strangers to help you achieve an endorphin rush. The Princeton location is not the Wegmans location where I have the fondest memories. That would be the one in Allentown. But Princeton will always hold a special place in my heart. Why, you ask? How's this for an answer: when you get a hot sandwich combo from the deli counter at THIS location, instead of a bag of chips or a cookie you can substitute a small cup of soup for no extra charge. Oddly enough, you can't do that in either Woodbridge OR Allentown. Insane. I know. But hey, I absolutely love Wegmans. read more
