I just left your Walmart, in Murrieta, off of Madison. One of your associates demeanor diminished my experience and made me admonish Walmart more. I have had more "Target" inclination. Your associate, Aaron, from electronics/digital/dvd section, was very rude when he misdirected me to ethernet cords. His tone was very disinterested and painful. I felt as though he wanted to belittle me for requesting help with finding an item. I assumed that associates were paid to make customers feel welcome and assist them with finding items. To conclude, upon my additional misdirected steps, I found that they were not there. Another associate revealed that they were only available online. Your associate must not have the knowledge required to assist customers or work efficiently. I, normally, let this aloofiness slide; however, his demeanor compelled me to write this disparaging review. Walmart, please teach your associates how to treat a customer with upmost service. My brother tore his only pair of contacts yesterday so I had to run in somewhere on our way to dinner. We stopped by this location and received great customer service at the optical center. Very friendly and quick! However, when I went to the regular checkout line to buy a some snacks for later, the cashier had an attitude for no reason, she kind of bummed me out. I'm standing in this Walmart as we speak waiting for an order that we're supposed to b picking up. We've been here for about 15 minutes already when we first got to the pick up department there was an employee standing behind the counter, who was on her phone, she saw us but continued to ignore us and go on her phone and didn't say anything to us. We went to ask someone else if we could get help by the time we came back that lady was gone. Countless of employees have passed by us, and haven't offered to help or find us help. Until this young man was told to find us help. He left for ab 1 minute tops then came back and asked if we had pushed the button. I told him I didn't think we needed to since someone was in the department already, and he gave me an attitude ab it and was really rude pressed the button, then just walked away. 10 mins have passed since then and we are just now being helped. read more

I think if they respected their employees they may have better results. The customer service is awful here. Pricing is always iffy as they are sometime incorrect. Twice the price was wrong and they had to call for someone to run over for a price check. Ok, I get it, human error. But how many people leave paying more then they intended to and don't check the receipts or remember how much the item was tagged for. Not something a consumer has to do. The dressing room attendants have been rude. I think they have to answer all incoming calls which draws the attention away from people needing dressing rooms. From the looks of it they either need to have someone else answering phones, or offer the attendants additional help, as they have to put all the clothes back. I just left your Murrieta store completely embarrassed and angry! My experience purchasing my pictures and items in the photo/online pick up area was great! The associate was kind and helpful and even made a comment about wanting me to be a happy customer. I paid and went to leave the store. My experience exiting the store was absolutely unacceptable ! As I'm sure you have to be aware of, it is not legal for your stores to require me to show my proof of purchase upon exiting. That is assuming I have done something wrong in which I have not. The burden of proof is upon the store to prove I've committed a crime, not on me to prove my innocence every time I shop at your store! There were at least 20 people in line at the garden center, the person whom usually checks receipts at the door was helping the cashier bag items I'm assuming since the line was so long. As I am leaving, I hear one of them say check her receipt. By the way all of my items were in my bag and the picture envelope by which u get after you pay for your pictures was visible. They continue to yell, holler, scream ma'am , miss, ma'am, miss at me. Getting louder and louder as I am now in the middle of the street and out of the store they continue ! In front of all of these customers! I turn around and say "I paid" which btw I shouldn't have to as stated above. I hear one of the men say " go follow her" let me tell you what if someone had followed me as if the harassment I just received wasn't enough I would have filed a police report! This is defamation of character, demanding I prove my innocence, basically every customer is guilty until proven innocent when shopping at your stores !! And if they don't comply either because they chose not to and don't have to or because the employee is other wise engaged, they are yelled at, embarrassed, harassed ?!? Unacceptable. You know who doesn't treat their customers this way ? Target! And every other store in the world! I go to this store because it is closest to my home but target is only two minutes further and I think I will be going there from this point on. Walmart didn't provide any updates until I inquired on Monday 12/24 and they just cancelled my order? Walmart's air mattress policy is horrible, don't bother buying one from here. We purchased one for a family trip that didn't even blow up. I ended up sleeping on the cold floor at my grandmother's house because of that, I'm pretty sure my herniated disc is flared up again... THANKS WALMART! Anyway, I came back the next day and tried to return the wretched thing, but apparently I could only get a replacement, not a return or even store credit. Turns out they post this sign next to their air mattress that basically states this, but it's posted 7ft high with tiny text. Do they really expect 5'0" woman to be able to read that high? Sonia from Returns was horrible. As I told her my story, her cold dark eyes saw nothing but the void. Some say her heart turned one solid shade darker that day. Others say she had no heart to begin with. Myself? I think years of working at Walmart took the very soul from her, making her a walking corpse that simply replies with no emotion, "It's set in stone. Those the rules. They are set in stone." But seriously, she wasn't helpful at all. She basically told us to "deal with it," and rolled her eyes when I asked her to tell a manager about it. I was hoping she would so someone else wouldn't get stuck with what was clearly a problem with these brand of mattresses. Clearly we couldn't depend on Sonia, so we ran out to the Sporting Goods section and got someone there to send a "manager" out. The "manager" was a name-tagless 19 year old with a patchy beard. He gave the runaround and then ran off as we were still asking him questions. Nice job, fall guy. Where is the real manager for Walmart? Why not send someone with a nametag? Always great prices. I order on-line and do a store pickup. l always have fast check outs, and I never stand in line for over five minutes. I park by the garden shop, and I am in and out. When I find things on my way out, or on an unplanned stop, I go through the Garden center. They are always quick and cheerful. I don't need the workers, because there are price checkers everywhere. I also use the store app, so it tells you which aisle the item is on. So, if you just use the resources readily available, you are in and out in minutes. read more

Literally idiots. We waited for at least 20 minutes waiting for someone to open up the lock case so we could buy a nintendo switch. The employees were all huddled around talking and one of them was on their phone when we asked them to unlock the case. The girl on her phone went to the back and said she would get someone. She comes back out and that's when we wait the 20 minutes. We go back for a second time and ask but the guy with the keys is helping someone else now. We wait about another 5 minutes and just decide to walk out. If you're not going to open the lock box up because you're helping another customer fine. But for gods sake at least teach the employees to do something instead of being useless and standing around on their phones. It's two hours until closing. Worst customer service. read more

They obviously built the SUPER CENTER on a landfill full of kryptonite, because the only thing extraordinary about this store is the lack of general knowledge possessed by their employees. After calling ahead to ensure that they had the item I was looking for I drove down to find (drum roll.........) they didn't even carry the item to begin with. My experience was exacerbated when I was lucky enough to deal with an employee in electronics, a 20 something year old young man who was more concerned with hitting on the 13 year old little girl at the counter than he was with DOING HIS JOB. From there I got to speak with the "assistant manager" who looked at me like I was speaking Korean. She then called the electronics manager (on her cell phone, due to the fact that "our stupid store phones never work") who let her know that they had not carried my item for several months (while the cashier told me that she had sold the last one an hour ago). read more

Considering as a tax payer, I/we are the ones that supplement the wages of employees of this god forsaken company, through government food stamps and the like.. I've been of legal drinking age for nearly 40 years. Now, I'm not a drinker of any alcohol by personal choice. However, I never begrudge a family member or guest a drink. It's probably been over a year since I walked into a Walmart, and as usual, I'm reminded why. The store is torn to shit and filthy every time I've ever been to ANY Walmart... But I wanted to grab a few things and was in the area... So I figured "what the heck" After selecting a few things and alcohol options for potential guests... I proceed to checkout... A gentleman in what appeared to be mid to late 30s was carded for buying cigarettes. Personally, I was offended to see this kind of treatment of a grown man, I had noticed the register screen state something to the effect of "is customer 40" but shrugged it off and waited my turn. So, now it's my turn to get checked out... And I'll be dammed... The cashier wanted my ID to be able to purchase beer and wine. Are the F'n kidding me? Because I'm disabled, I travel light when I go into any store... Debit card, keys and phone thats it. My purchase came to just over $250... I was livid... Paid for my purchase and requested to see the manager... Whom of course wasn't available.. So I got a minion with zero authority and strongly voiced my opinion. When the minion couldn't grasp the concept of common sense... I took my purchase of nearly $250. to the customer service counter and got a full refund. There are plenty of other stores to spend my money at. Walmart is a scam of the American public. Complete "slave-master" mentality. Wise up people, this company is sucking the life out of each and every person that does business with them. The audacity of this manager/corporation to set rules outside of the judicial system and sidestep common sense is pathetic. If they don't want to actually sell cigarettes and alcohol... DONT HAVE IT ON THE SHELVES!! This place sells guns for gods sake, and yet they don't have enough common sense to know if a person is nearly 60 vs 21? Please re-train your associates on the concept of basic customer service. Actively trying to avoid customers that are obviously approaching you so he/she can ask a question does not demonstrate good customer service or professionalism. Please also keep up with price label guidelines when working the floor, whether it's the associates working on merchandise go-backs throughout the day or the evening stock crew. Replace damaged price labels and make sure a correct price label is actually present on the shelf/peg for the merchandise. read more

DO NOT BUY ANY ELECTRONIC HERE. I went there to buy an Xbox One X paid $379.54 for it, when I got home I opened the box to get an original Xbox One, note it was supposed to be an Xbox One X. I went back to Walmart 30 min after I purchased it, to go return it but they did not take it back because they said that "I altered it" and to contact Microsoft about it. Which I did but I also disputed my transaction because I did not want them to have my money but as of today (2/10/2020) I have lost the dispute and they are taking my money for altering an electronic that I did not do. read more

Walmart is never my favorite store. But every once in a while, there is something on sale there for cheaper than anywhere else and I venture out. And boy, this Walmart takes the cake among the worst I've been to. Problems I had: 1) Parking-- although the parking large is actually quite large, it is always packed! Why is everyone at Walmart? Just why???? In addition, the rows are very narrow so if you drive a truck, good luck getting through or getting in and out of a good spot. 2) The aisles inside are set up stupidly. There were tons of obstacles of poorly placed displays and centerpieces. Lots of jams of fat people and cheap products. 3) The lighting-- I felt like it was too dim inside. It was like the start of some zombie apocalypse movie. 4) The staff were so slow! I don't even know how.......to......emphasize......their........slowness............................................................enough. Did that help? This is for the pharmacy: I went in to drop off my prescription like I have done before at my normal walmart in Anaheim. They said they couldn't accept my prescription on that piece of paper, it was a printed prescription with all the necessary info and my drs signature, they said I had to have them call or fax it in. I've gotten this same prescription on that some type of paper at the walmart in Anaheim countless times. I went to rite aide down the street on alta murrieta & mhs. Wal-Mart Internet Store Pick-up is a Disaster! I like to order on line (usually Amazon) for the prices but most importantly the convenience. I needed some Holiday decorations for my office. Amazon did not have what I was looking for so I tried Wal-Mart. Big Mistake! It started off good with email confirmations of my purchase and notifications that the item was ready to for pick-up. I arrived at the store about 7:00pm, which is normally filled with sleazy customers and employees. (That was to be expected.) At the Customer Service counter there was a huge line of 20 plus people and only two employees. As I did not want to wait the 1/2 hour so I left noting that the store is open 24 hours and planned to arrive in the morning on my way to work. At 7:30am I showed up, waited in the much shorter line and was told I needed to go to the back of the store for internet pick-ups. I trooped to the back of the store where I was told that there were no Internet pick-ups until 9:00am. Ugh! Not very convenient! So I will head back there at midday and try it again. Wal-Mart doesn't get it. One of the big reasons that people order on-line is for the convenience. However, Wal-Mart has made it totally inconvenient! I will NEVER come here again! On 3/25/2015, I came here twice and had the most terrible experience ever!!! To begin, I came here this morning around 10am because I purchased a gift card yesterday that somehow became lost between yesterday and this morning. So I come here with the receipt hoping that the card can be looked up to make sure it hasn't been found and used, so they can transfer it to a new card. I came in at 10am. There was a woman working in the Money Center who helped me. I see her in the store all the time, but I didn't get her name. She informed me that there is only 1 person (1 woman) in the entire store (in the Cash Office) who is able to look up the transaction information and get the card's pin, to see if there is still a balance on the card.... BUT this woman is at lunch and won't be back for an hour, so there is no manager or anyone else who can assist me. When I left, I looked up the number to Walmart's Gift Card Customer Service and found 1-800-411-7942 (which is listed on Walmart's website). I called and the woman I spoke to said to go into the store, ask for a customer service manager, and they should have no problem looking up the card and transferring it to a new card since I have the receipt. When I got back to Walmart, I did just that. So I get back to Walmart at about 1:25pm and when I get there, the same woman is still working in the Money Center, so she assists me again. She said I made it back just in time because the woman in the cash office leaves at 2pm. She calls the woman to let her know what's going and that I was there earlier, and the woman tells her to take my information down because she can't assist me right now since she's wrapping up for the day. I asked her to call a manager because that's ridiculous that I was here earlier and nobody helped me. Now, I am here for a second time and this mysterious cash office woman, whose the only one that can look up the transaction is now here, but she STILL cannot help me. WTF! So the assistant manager Dameon comes over and starts trying to explain how the cash office only works from 5am to 2pm and they are obligated to have their work load wrapped up by the time they leave at 2pm. So my response is that I don't understand why I just can't wait until she's done with whatever paperwork she's doing, being that I came here earlier and this person was not available. Now, I'm back for a second time and she's here but she just can't help me. That's so dumb! I told Dameon that I called the gift card customer service line and they said that a manager should have no problem looking up the information. I also explained I wanted to deal with it now, and I'd just wait until this woman is done with her work load because I've already been waiting and I'm going to be extremely pissed if tomorrow comes and there's no balance left on the card because somebody's going around using it, or may have already used it. He comes up with this excuse that this is a process that takes longer than 10 minutes and could take up to 2 hours so I have to wait until tomorrow when the cash office reopens.. They have to look up the receipt/look up the transaction, look at security footage, etc. But that's still no excuse to me. It's unacceptable because all the information you need is on the receipt that I have right here. The time, the transaction number, the employee who assisted me, the register the transaction was completed at, etc. so you can take that info, do what you need to do, and it should still be a pretty quick process. 2 hours is absurd! On top of that, he said "those people" (from the Walmart gift card customer service line that's listed on their website) don't even work for Walmart, so they're going to say whatever they need to say just to get me off the phone and into the store.. W T F?! This just gets more ridiculous as he continues. How he is even the assistant manager, I do not know!! After this, obviously I'm still pissed so I just ask for the store manager's name and number. And I still have to wait until tomorrow (3/26/2015). read more

The one and only time I ever cashed a check at Walmart, I later discovered they had given me a Counterfeit $100 bill. On 3/19/09 I cashed a check at Walmart, at the register when paying for my purchase & was given several $100 bills. Image my surprise when I my bill was refused while trying to pay for my families dinner at a local restaurant. I immediately went back to Walmart with the counterfeit bill & my receipt for the cashed check. Not only did the assistant manager dismiss me, but suggested that I had switched out the bills! (Isabel Garcia as the assistant manager) Walmart had no interest in even finding out if this happened in their store. The Assistant Manager said it was impossible because their bills come directly from the bank. (What about the large amount of bills that coming in through the registers? Duh!) I then went straight to the Murrieta police department to file a report, expecting they would contact Walmart & follow up. After taking my info & the counterfeit bill, the officer told me they would be sending this to the FBI & filed, but if I repeatedly turned in counterfeit bills, my name would be Red Flagged with the FBI. (WHAT?!) I then called the # the officer gave me for several weeks after, but never got a return call from my messages or ever heard again about my case. MPD INC# 090880135 Moral of the story: NEVER take a large bill from Walmart & reporting a crime will get you on the FBIs wanted list. LAME!!! read more

This Walmart is just a few miles from my home, and while I consider it a decent area, whenever I come here, I feel like I'm visiting the bad part of town. There is a security truck that constantly circles the parking lot, and with good reason. It has been the scene of several crimes, including the recent carjacking of an elderly woman (http://m.pe.com/articles/murrieta-770339-vehicle-oceanside.html ). Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, the shelves are almost always empty and the store is a mess. If I absolutely have to go to Walmart, I usually opt for the much nicer super center down in Temecula even though it is much further away. This one is scary, especially at night. read more

Her quote was "she was the only manager there and was in a hurry". The customer service supervisor either Louie or Louis was just as horrible and allowed his customer service representative Bonnie to talk and treat customers horribly. Why should a customer service rep care how she addresses customers when it's ok for her to be rude and very disrespectful to them in front of their supervisor and he condones it. He even plays a good team player and joins in the rudeness instead of handling the issue as a Supervisor should. WOW the experience at this store is one to not forget. I wish I could rate this place a zero star. I stick by my prior review, and have not gone back. My husband, however, did go back to get his oil changed and wound up being there over two hours waiting for the truck to be done. Best part is that there was one vehicle in the bay ahead of his, there were technicians standing around, and both the clerk and the manager he spoke to inside were unable to give him an answer as to why his truck had been parked the whole time instead of being worked on. He finally grabbed his keys and left without having anything done. This Walmart will never get business from anyone in this family again, a much better option is the Walmart on Temecula Parkway (79), it's stocked, clean, and the people there seem to care about their jobs and their customers. read more
