This review is not about the product. It's about the "customer service" at Wal Mart in Merced. I saw this product online at $16.88. So I went to the actual store instead of buying it online. When the associate rang up the price it was more. I don't remember the total. I asked the associate if they priced match their on line price. I know for a fact that Wal Mart does price match if the product is the same and it's in stock. The associate said no. So then I showed him the Walmart online price and he says, "They don't price match because the company wants the customers to purchase items on-line." I'm not going to argue so I accepted his story. I talked to a another associate and I was informed they do price match the online prices. Oh, and yes this product works!!! I guess you should buy it online. read more

Auto service . Not sure why or how but online and in store it says the store closes at 7pm . I waited and got into the oil change line at 4:15pm and there was two cars a head of me . Around 5pm a guy came over and told me they were no longer taking cars which didn't make sense since I had been there for 45 minutes sitting while no one came out to explain anything ... finally this young comes over and says there is nothing he can do since there is appointments and one coming in at 6 . I said I didn't appointments did that . He told me there was nothing he could do and he said he could have let me out. I rely on a specific item from this store that I need to literally survive. I am physically disabled and I can't cook regular meals. However, there is no way to know if the item is actually in stock or not despite the fact that the app says there is. I don't get a text or notification about the fact that it's actually out of stock after all until it says it's too late for me to cancel it. I have no way to get down there and return things everyday, nor can I afford to place $35 orders every single day. The store also NEVER answers the phone. It perpetually says that they are experiencing higher than normal call volumes, whether you call it the beginning or the end of the month or the beginning or the end of the day, there's no getting through to the store. I wholeheartedly suggest not subscribing to Walmart Plus, especially if you are disabled.. read more

Ghetto. Ghetto. Ghetto. This is the dirtiest, filthiest, sketchiest store I've ever been in. Overflowing trash bins outside with food thrown everywhere, filthy floors, trash all over the store. Just plain disgusting. It really falls on the shoulders of a poor management staff not keeping their store in order. On top of that, half the store is locked up behind glass and you have to get an employee to unlock it for you. Some things make sense to lock up (alcohol, some pharmaceuticals, etc) but some things are ridiculous - the entire camping section is locked up, as are dog collars, and even padlocks (how ironic). I avoid this store like the plague and only go there as a last resort. As soon as I walk in the door I can't wait to leave. It's totally worth spending a little bit more and just going to Target which is about a mile down the road. read more

Went in earlier today to buy Ginger beer for those who don't know it's " non alcoholic " I had a employee in the check self out area tell me I can't have alcohol, I kindly told her it's non alcoholic she's said it don't matter because it says beer on the box. She kept repeating " I'm just letting you know cant have alcohol in the self check out " I told her co-worker to let her know it's non alcoholic and she yelled out " I know, thanks for telling me! ". This place is ridiculous. The lines are backed up because the cashier has to walk back and forth to find products that were brought up since they were locked up in a cabinet. Stop locking stuff up. Gloria in customer service is unreasonable. I have gotten things exchanged with the older Asian lady there and she was really helpful. Management has not be helpful when trying to get on contact with them. I was passed around on the phone for an hour and still couldn't reach any supervisors. Everytime we do curbside there's always a problem there's a number they give you when you're in the parking spot and it's some random lady's phone number you call the store no one answers to online orders then you press 0 to talk to an associate no answer so I press for electronics no answer pharmacy no answer deli no answer! Make sure you check ink categories that you buy from this place before you buy them or leave the store. Otherwise you will lose out on your money. They sold me empty ink cartridges and three were not wrapped in company packaging. It also has dead bugs in the box. The cartridges also were dirty from something. The corporate office says they take them back and refund them, but the store says they have a no refund or exchange policy that only they know about. There was no information about this on or around the area they sell the printer ink. Nor did the sales associate explain this policy to me before I bought them. So now I'm out 37.86!!!! Do they care??? No!!! I called all parties involved and I will not get help from any of them. So be careful people, they do not care to replace or refund for missing things that did not come in the package. read more

I hate this Walmart! My little sister attends the university 12 minutes away so I try to stock her fridge once a month through Walmart delivery. They NEVER deliver on time!!!! Once they delivered an hour EARLIER than the reserved hour so she missed her delivery and they returned her groceries back to the store! All the other times, they were LATE!! I hate this walmart. They never have sh¡t and they're petty as hell. They lock up hair products that are only a few dollars, hair dryers, and other nonsense that does not need to be locked up. You push the button for assistance so someone can come unlock Fort Knox and give you some $2 hair oil or a $1 head wrap and no one ever shows up. So you gotta go on a mission to find an employee, which is like hunting for an endangered species, just for them to tell you they can't help you and to go push the button. THE CARTS!! If you've ever been stopped and made to show your receipt, you should get restitution. Moving on... I've only ever seen 2 cashiers open at a time (not counting electronics). As we learned from our time trying to get a hair net out of case Camp Pendleton, walmart employees on the sales floor are a rare find. So if they're not on the sales floor, and not at the registers, where the hell are these mysterious creatures? 3 & 1/2 Stars This location can be very messy and disorganized inside the store and even outside the parking lot. Honestly it's mostly the customers fault. I see many customers making a mess every time I'm here. I also see employees all the time reorganizing and cleaning up after the customers outside and inside the store. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. Their grocery section is not as good as Target. Its better to get your groceries at the Super Walmart in Atwater. The variety is limited here; However, Their food prices are still lower than their competitors. They have a much larger and better "office supplies" section than Target. Their prices are much lower than Target in this section too. Beware of homeless people and solicitors in the parking lot asking for money / donations. Employees will open the doors for customers about 5-7mins prior to their regular business opening hour (7:00am). The McnDonalds inside is consistent and friendly. The dining area is typically messy. One pet peave of mine is that they don't provide the small carrying baskets for customers like Target does. They only provide shopping carts. Overall it's an okay Walmart. read more

I ordered a product online and came in to pick it up, after working almost 10 hours out of town. Nicole, one of the on-sight managers up front, saw myself and about 5 others waiting, and called for help to help myself and the others what we came for, and the help that showed up, showed up hustling and took care of all of us in no time flat, which, after 20 minutes waiting, I was encouraged to see after mediocre service prior. Not to be out done however, Amado and Frances over in Electronics not only were spot on with answers to my needs but also offered great suggestions when I discovered that a product wasn't available in-store. I'm VERY impressed, and those three people get high marks in my book, and the next time I come, I hope to see them first. Great job`!! read more

Mark who works at the front is very judge mental and likes to profile people. He accused me of not ringing up my dog food that is $10. I stated in the VERY beginning I am doing 2 different transactions. I spent over $80 bucks each transactions. Why Would I steal dog food that doesn't make sense. Mark needs to learn about customer service! Just because someone is dressed down in sweatpants and a sweater doesn't necessarily mean they would steal! It's winter time of course it's cold. Today Nikkie's quick action was appreciated by many people, myself included. Nikkie was just arriving for work this afternoon. One regular register line was open with 11 customers in live. The other choice was self check out with even more customers. Myself and two other customers were discussing why WE were the only ones noticing there was a problem. I interrupted Nikkie's conversation to ask for help. She explained she was just arriving and said she would let her manager know. I stood there a few more minutes trying to decide if I should just leave. I didnt have another 30 minutes to wait in line. Nikkie came back and opened up a line. Having to wait for someone to come open up the cabinets to get an item out can be time consuming. But I understand shoplifters have made it this way, but what I don't understand is how me and another shopper were going for the same thing in the same cabinet and being helped out by the same employee, I get my item put away in a lock box to have opened at the register, but the other shopper gets a "ok, see you later girl" from the employee. What? Because it's someone you know already, you can bend the rules for them? But me I have to go through the process like I'm some shady character? My boyfriend and I just returned from this store. What a mess: please don't bother to try to shop here. We went into the store to get a t-shirt for my boyfriend. That's it! The clothing is locked up so I don't know what's that about. Trying to find a person to assist us was a stupid idea. Only one person is on the whole floor. She's working so hard. We get the t-shirt after some time and the assistant from the store leads us to a VERY long line because there are very check out people manning the store. What? Why? Don't bother trying. You can't shop here. Everything is locked up and it takes finding multiple employees to unlock the items you need. Then you have to pay for the item there or come back. But if the other items you need are also locked then you either have to find (twice) multiple employees who then have to find where they placed your item. Or you can pay for each item individually. They claim its due to theft but there are many other businesses in the area and none do this. Save yourself the hassle and go up the road to target. read more
