Not too many complaints, except one. It closes at 8 PM. I barely go out to places like malls before 8 PM. UC Merced is expanding and bringing many college students like me. Don't close down before we can get over there, you are losing out on a huge customer base. I would at least like it to close at 12 AM, but preferably like 2 AM. I would be there basically every weekend if these were the hours, instead we sometimes go to Target or something lmao, but even other places close early. read more

Very small mall. Only stores that interested us were JC Penny, Hot Topic and Foot Locker. The food court has only two options. The service at Hot Topic was good, staff was attentive and friendly. Prices were typical of any retail mall. read more

I came to Merced Mall on a Sunday with my coworker and her teenage daughter to do some shopping and plus I have not gone to Merced Mall before so my expectations was very very very low as my co worker informed me it's small. However this mall is pretty decent for Merced, they had name brand stores like JCP, Kohl's, food court, Tillys, Bath and Body works, my Fave Victoria Secret among other stores. I am a recovering shop-a-holic so I did not get anything this time. However this a decent spot to do some low key shopping on a Sunday as there was not a lot of kids or teens roaming the mall as in other Major Mall capitals like Fresno, LA and Santa Monica. I'm not sure if I'll be back but I had a positive experience here. I will cross this mall off my mall check list though Lastly, parking is a breeze compared to Fresno and LA malls read more

Positives: they've got your essentials - wide parking lot, food court, apparel stores, makeup stores, other stores, restrooms, even a barbershop. Negatives: it was quite dead here on a Friday afternoon, partially because it's such a small enclosed mall. Super cool place to come and walk around and kill time. Merced mall might not have to many stores or really anything exciting, but they do have ice cream place, Mexican fruit place (mangonadas and more) pretzels and McDonald's and a bunch more -so if you're looking to just stroll indoors with a/c this is a cool place to take a little stroll -Oo almost for the mall has a sees candy! My first impression: This mall is very old, yet it is very clean inside. It's a small mall but it's a safe mall for parents with young kids. The security personnel do a good job making sure of the safety of the customers outside the parking lot and inside the mall. The stores salesmen and saleswomen are not very pushy here from our experience. Maybe it's our kids that keep them even tempered! Employees are always friendly and welcoming here. Baskin Robbins is always busy but they work fast. We come here for BR31 often during the hot days (which are a lot of days throughout the year here in Merced.) We've heard rumors that they, the city, has a long term project to refurnish this mall by building a second floor and attaching the movie theatre to it that is just down the other side of the parking lot. That movie theatre is also old and may need some minor enhancements as well. read more

For such a tiny mall, they have a decent selection of stores. Want something more, head to Modesto or Fresno, right? I entered near the Chinese buffet restaurant, which is also the entrance to the food court. There seemed to be a lot of people just hanging out, and I didn't see much interesting in the way of food, unless McDonald's is your high end restaurant. I was surprised to see Tilly's and Zumiez, along with Sears and J C Penney, so they have some selection for teens, but it seems as though it would be more of a hangout than a place to shop. First time visiting this mall. I came here with my partner last week because, like most people we were curious to see what stores were open and if they're was big crowds or not. I'm not from the area, I was visiting and wanted to check the mall out because of how different of a style it looked like. We get there and as soon as we walk in it was like LIBRARY quiet. There wasn't much people and most of the stores were closed. We went on a Tuesday in the late evening (about 2 hrs before closing) and from our perspective there was more people shopping at the jcpenny and kohl's than all the other smaller stores. From what I remember: Claire's, hot topic,zumies, cozy fox, a jewelry store, Aeropostale, and footlocker were all open but I left a little disappointed because the one store I wanted to shop at was bath and body works but I guess I can't complain too much. We ended up just shopping in the jcpenny since we already went to the kohl's a previous day, and found some pretty good deals. one thing to note and it's a pretty big one is that * JCPENNY'S FITTING ROOMS ARE OPEN * I didn't believe it at first but then I heard another customer ask and the employee said that they are indeed open. I'm giving 4 stars just because of how awkward and out dated the mall was. I have no complaints about any of the employees there or how most stores were closed, we just need to be patient. read more

This is the worst mall. Do not recommend going. I went into footlocker and asked for a shoe and the guy "forgot about me" and I sat there for 10 minutes waiting to try on a shoe that the guy forgot about... and a few days later I call them to see if they had a shoe in my size because it was out of stock when I went in and they forgot about me and when I called the lady said let me ask someone and in the back ground I heard someone say "just hang up" and a few seconds went by and they hung up on me. Been to this mall twice. The first time I went, I was turned off by the customer service at the pharmacy as well as the crowd (mostly teenagers) wreaking havoc. After being in the mall for 15 minutes, we decided to leave. There was nothing much to see or buy. It's old, worn-out, and very small. It will probably take you about 3 minutes to powerwalk from one end of the mall to the other. On my recent visit to Merced after a few years, I expected the mall to be better (remodeled and expanded), but it's still the same to me. I guess the city decided not to invest in it because of the major real estate downfall in the area. For a much better shopping mall experience, Vintage Faire Mall in Modesto is the way to go and the closest major mall within the vicinity. Fresno has a better shopping center as well but it is much farther than Modesto. read more

This may be a small mall, but they do have some major store like JCPENNEY, Sears, Kohl's, bath and body works, McDonald's, Panda Express, even an arcade (my kid's favorite part of the mall), a theater and Target is near by just a parking lot away. Speaking of parking lot, it's pretty easy to find parking spot. read more

I was struggling to choose between 1 and 2 stars for this place. It ended up with 2 because I actually have bought some things here and 1 star is really reserved for the super horrible experiences. The mall is dingy, beat up, and doesn't really have many 'attractive' stores. If you're looking for cheap clothing, there are a few places to get that here. There's also a Victoria's Secret, tiny little lingerie boutique, Big 5 sports, Bath & Body, Aeropostale, and some shoe stores. The food court is also a 2-starrer. I've only eaten at Panda Express and the other places don't really look appetizing. It is really sad because you can see the effects of the economy when you walk through here. Good God! I shake my head with sadness that I'm even here, but I'm helping a friend track down some missing keys. There are some big anchor stores with a bunch of other shops sprinkled in between. The arcade near the food court looks like it hasn't been updated with new machines in years, I keep seeing the same ones time after time. One thing I don't really get is how Target ended up on the other side of the parking lot. They could have easily incorporated Target into the mall and the theater that sits at one end. During summer, it often gets so hot that going outside to go to the theater or to go to Target becomes more trouble than its worth. Badly designed and badly thought out. The mall has a very dated look, you can tell it was built back in the 70s. This place is adequate if you absolutely have to shop in Merced, but if you want to do some serious shopping you may want to go ahead and make a run up to Modesto. It's really worth the trip. read more

Not sure how you can call this a mall. Should rename it Ghost-Town Mall. When I moved here in June 2018 it was already pretty bad and now we have lost a few stores, and the stores they started to build are still in a halt. All around the mall it boasts that they are remodeling and it will be here soon...YEA OK! I have seen nothing to that affect since I moved here and that was BEFORE Covid. It might have been a cute little mall at one time but now now, it's broken down, has a ton of closed stores, the Penny's is a joke the only bright spot would be the Kohl's which I can't believe wants to be associated with the mall. Oh well maybe one day like soon (probably not) it will get remodeled and look good again. I have a feeling this has to do with the people who run Merced who think there isn't enough money in Merced to bring new businesses or fix old businesses up. Shame on those people. make Merced great! If I can give zero star, I will! I can't imagine anyone would like to shop here. There is nothing in this mall. In fact I can't believe this place even being called a mall! I have not been to a mall that has no Victoria's secret. I guess that tell me something! There is not even a Macy's. What kind of mall is this? I think this is the worst mall I have ever been to. This is old and not a single store that is worth looking. If I have to choose one maybe Bloom. It is kind of like a mini forever 21 but of course not as good. Having 3 department stores with little shops in between still doesn't qualify this as a mall. The mall as a whole has an odd scent and is dirty along with the questionable characters you may see walking around in there. The mall has a CVS for crying out loud, that is not a mall at least compared to what I am accustomed to. The Kohls is the only shop I would advise going to as it is clean and people actually help you. Aside from Kohl's there are no other spots to hit up while in the "mall". read more

Dacian(might be spelled wrong, lol sorry) from zumiez was extremely helpful! I was shopping for my nephews and had no idea what to look for. He made sure to go out of his way to help me find something for each of their individual needs without even knowing them! He was very patient even when my daughter was whining to leave. This mall is declining at a very fast rate, it used to house some well known stores like Anchor Blue and Big 5, but today just about every other boutique space is available for rent. The only businesses that seem to still survive here are overpriced jewelry stores, cell phone shops, and fast food restaurants. read more

The Merced Mall is small, the food selection sucks, at the food court a bunch of teenagers hang out, some of them are loud, rude, disrespectful, some teenagers go around asking other costumers for money, I heard some teenage boys say really nasty things to young girls like ' can I tap that ass' ' and other rude things, security is never around, the mall feels like a daycare where parents can drop of their kids and let them run wild, especially on the weekend.I wish we had a Macy, forever 21 and old navy. read more

This review is for the t-mobile store... This is the second time I've accompanied my mom to this store. Both times have been less than satisfying. This past weekend we arrived to upgrade her phone and were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. This was ok with us but it ended up taking closer to an hour. Finally we were waited on by a young lady who while polite was obviously not trained in the way a full service cellular provider should. My experiences while upgrading at the ATT store have been amazing compared to the customer service offered at this location. We asked if my mom's account could be reviewed to make sure she is receiving the best deal 'no we don't do that, you have to dial 611'. Whaaaaat???? We asked if she could transfer my mom's contacts to her phone...blank stare 'they'll automatically transfer'...they didn't. On top of it all somehow my mom is paying for data but can not use the Internet on her new smart phone. Also, as we were being waited on the employee helping us was talking to another employee about their plans that evening. The general feeling in this store is 'we want you out so we can chit chat and twirl our hair. What is the point of going to a full service T-Mobile store if you can not get service? read more
