Made an online order for in store pick up at 8:31 in the morning of 8/8/16. Was told it would take about 4 hours to put my order together. Now, I am in no rush to pick up this order. I received the email to pick up at 2:26PM. I go at 4:30 PM to pick up my order. Female rep scans my phone and my order comes up not found. She goes into the back to find out why. She comes back and says my order is not ready. Ummm.... wait... your email says otherwise. "Sorry, she says. "There's only one person in the back and she's been doing all the orders on her own." "I still shouldn't have received a ready to pick up email when the order isn't ready," I said She said, "I don't know what to tell you, it's not ready, I need your ID." "What for?" I said "So we can get your order,." she said. "How long will it take?" I asked "10 minutes or so," she mumbled. "10 minutes?" I exclaimed. "We have other orders and we have to do them in the order they are received," she explained. "No, thanks" I replied. "Sir, I need your ID" she firmly said. "No, I'm good," I said. "Are you going to cancel the order?" she asked. "No." I said. "SIR, YOU NEED TO GIVE ME YOUR ID!" she insisted. "No. thank you," I said "What are you going to do then?" she asked. "Nothing, I said and I walked away. I felt like she was giving me a ticket. Like I said, I am in no hurry to pick up this order. I can come back tomorrow. That is some crazy customer service. See, thing is, if the email doesn't tell me the truth, I am not sure I can trust the CSR. I can wait 10 minutes. This store is huge. I can find plenty of things to occupy my time. But I'm having a hard time trusting that estimate. Also, I am the customer. I am not upset yet and you are getting upset? Something is wrong with training at this store. read more

Awful customer, service awful policies. I think I'm done with Walmart. This store acts like you're a criminal for returning something. Sure, I misplaced the receipt, but all I wanted to do was exchange a defective item. Long story short the manager approved it, but the customer service rep showed no concern for my feelings... just spouted off a bunch about how Walmart would lose money and this is her protocol. My first and last time coming to this place. I was a new client and had brought my contact lens prescription because I didn't have a glasses prescription from my eye doctor. I had gone on a Saturday(8/18)with my mom for a second opinion and talked to Mark. I spent a good hour there picking out a frame, discussing that I wear contacts full time and wanted glasses as a BACK UP because my eyes get tired and the fact that I would like ultraviolet added to the lens because I work as a receptionist. He recommended that I get that since it's better for people that work in front of a computer for a long time. We went over multiple times that these glasses were a backup and said he was going to contact my eye doctor on Monday for the prescription so we could get the glasses. I paid $193 for the frame and each lens. The receipt/he said the estimated time arrival would be September 4. I get a call on September 6 saying my glasses were in. I pick them up on the 8th and James helped me this time but Mark was there also helping another guest. James looked at the receipt with the order and noticed there wasn't a prescription with the glasses. I immediately looked over at Mark who immediately countered, "yeah we were doing the glasses as a backup for when you're wearing your contacts". I was furious and said "no, these were supposed to be a backup in case my eyes were tired and I needed something else to wear. We went over this". James proceeded to try to help me and wrote a new order for me to get the CORRECT glasses WITH the prescription. So this is 9/8, he told me it would arrive on 9/18 with it expedited. I said that wasn't acceptable since this wasn't my mistake and I've been waiting a long time for these glasses to come. Mark budded in and said "from what I remember, it took so long because we were waiting on the prescription from your eye doctor". Incorrect! I got a call from Mark on 8/21 saying that his was able to get the prescription from my eye doctor and put the order in and it was ready to be paid for. I paid for the glasses on 8/25...so already 4 weeks have gone by. My CORRECT glasses FINALLY came in on 9/17!!!! I was so mad when I came in and asked to complain because this wasn't my mistake and I should've gotten my glasses a long time ago. Expedited doesn't mean a day earlier than expected delivery date. The manager had no empathy and said "it's a day early so technically that's still expedited". Are you serious?! This is not my fault and my glasses wouldn't have been messed up if your worker wasn't distracted and took my order correctly from the start. Went here last night (July 30,2020 at 8pm)to return my three furnitures that weights 300lbs or more.Rented a utility trailer at u-haul just to return all these furnitures(2 recliners & 70" tv stand).A stranger helped me out to put all these furniture to each walmart trolley.Push them one by one at the entrance and to my surprise returns is already close.Spoke to a lady guard & male store staff,they won't accept returns anymore because it was close an hour ago.Spoke to 2 managers named KIRSTEN & didn't see the name of the other manager (Mexican lady with curly hair).I beg & beg to at least consider my returns but both of them didn't offer some help.Both of them are very inconsiderate & inhumane.I know that even if they close the system they can do something to help me or at least offer to leave the furniture inside and make a note of it or endorse the return whoever comes in the morning so when I come back in the morning they can easily do the return process.But both of them are in a rush to go home or lazy to do it.They did not consider how heavy it was the furniture,they didn't care how i'll bring back in these furniture in the utility trailer and carry back home by myself "that is extremely inhumane".I was once a manager & I know that they can do something about it but refuse to do so & chose to be heartless in the middle of pandemic.. read more

Me and wife when to Walmart in Martinez to pick up some photos that we order on line. There was a new associate there name Jerry, he explain that he was new and if I didn't mind to be patient with him. To my surprise he gave great customer service. He ask me and my wife what we my need outside of picking up our pictures and escort us to other departments of our choices. Very friendly and kept saying where here to treat you special because the customer is the most important person...What I'm saying is it hard to find that type of customer service in large retail stores that think about customer first instead of profit. And there bathrooms are dirty and used for heroin users flush there needles down the toilet. They don't fix anything is smells of raw sewage. They shouldn't be open. I would honestly wouldn't shop here at this location if there was another WMT nearby. Every associate I have encountered is just the worst compared to the last, with the exception of like maybe two. The store is usually mess with racks of mishmosh items clearanced out. Items are never in stock. Walmart.com is a joke. Stood in line with TWO Assistant Managers pricing out items, not even asking if we need help. So I would normally give this Walmart more stares because my family and I shop here all the time and love this place. I had ordered some stuff from this store and they delivered it to my house with out it being covered and left it in my porch. Any thing that is delivered especially around Christmas time that is delivered should be covered not just because it maybe a Santa gift but because no one can see what it is!! I never expected much customer service , i am a self helped type person. Today,I needed to buy garden mulch at Walmart, Martinez. The cashier at garden supplies showed me where to find them and asked if I needed help carry. I thanked her and said no. I was surprised how heavy they were. I went back in,there was line at register, another female employee looked expecting. So, again, I tried on my own without success. The employee who guarded the exit door came to help and told me to bring my car over and he would load for me. The woman at register, the man by the door were both generous and delightful when offered their help. They made my day. read more

Came here over the weekend to check out some new makeup products that I could not find at the Walmart in Richmond, CA. This place what I was looking for. This location is much better than the Richmond one for sure. I'm happy that I found what I was looking for here and will definitely come here next time. Sadly we just moved here and are saddened by the state of this store. We came from Sacramento and the stores there are fairly new. This store needs a refresh. It is dark and dingy and the help is not really great. Given that the Walmart is in a good neighborhood, it is a shame they have not reinvested in this location. Stock is an ongoing problem and I usually end up driving to the Walmart in Fairfield to do our shopping. Fortunately I go to Sacramento a couple times a month. It would be nice to have a decent store closer. read more

I visited my local Wal-Mart to pick up items for my household. I purchased my items through the self checkout stand. I walked over to the exit door and noticed a Caucasian customer handing the door greeter her receipt. The Wal-Mart employee Kathy did not check her bags she just handed the customer back her receipt with out marking her receipt . Kathy put her hand out without saying a word to me and put her hand on my cart. Kathy took my receipt and began digging through my bags as if I was stealing something. At that point I felt violated and felt Kathy was being racism towards me because I am African American. Kathy did not check the Caucasian customer bags. Kathy is very unprofessional she yelled out I'm just doing my job I let her know that's not how you treat a customer. read more

This Walmart is near my work and I actually like this location better than the one in Antioch. For the most part it's always neat, definitely not as ghetto as Antioch or Pittsburg, and I've never really had to wait in a long line. All in all a pleasant place to shop for household necessities! read more

I have to come to this walmart all the time, several times a week,( unfortunately ) most of the employees are not very helpful and im very familiar with most of employees there, but ralph is my favorite! This store isn't so bad, it's the photo center that is a nightmare! Every time I come here there is a problem with my pictures. From ordering online (and getting a order is done confirmation and order number) and getting to the store and they have no record to coming in and trying to print pictures from the kiosk. The McDonalds here is disgusting! I ordered fries and watched as the employee put a fresh batch of fries in the deep fryer, then while they were cooking started to clean. Swept the floor, touched the dust pan, threw away garbage.... Then without washing his hands went to serve me the fries. I was mortified! So disgusting. Do not eat here!!!! read more
