If I could leave no starts I would. I was trying to find a toy that said "in stock" at this location. Unfortunately there wasn't an employee in the toy sections to help me, so I went to the next closest department which was electronics. A man there told me to go to the pickup area in the back near the bathrooms to ask about stock. So I did. The lady in the pickup area with braids or dreads was rude as fuck. She told me it wasn't her department and she could not help me. I told her that the man In electronics sent me here and I kindly asked if there was someone else that I was able to ask since she was persistent on not giving me any kind of help or assistance. Followed by even more attitude than before, she treated me like I was stupid and wasn't understanding that it wasn't her section and she had no idea that she knew nothing about the freight for the toy section. Of course I'm aware that you know nothing, but I was directed over here so can you fucking direct me somewhere else with someone who can actually help me? But no, I was met with complete attitude. She even treated her coworkers like complete shit and spoke to them like less than. She needs to go, whatever her name was. This place is skeezy, as are the clientele. I miss the golden times when this was a Costco and you didn't feel like you were going to get Hep C, and the company you were giving your money to wasn't nearly as horrible. This place is a bit of a hell hole, honestly. Really bad staff, too. If you look around and shop online as well, you can beat all of their prices anyway. Consider getting your food at the Grocery Outlets in Pleasant Hill instead, it has better prices and exotic stuff rotating almost daily as well as a good staff. read more

This Walmart sucks. I only go here because it's close to home. Not only does it look like they employ a bunch of druggies, it also employs the most rude, slow cashiers in the world. Nobody at this place has a smiling face, or asks how your doing, or if you need any help. Not only are the employees unhappy and useless, but the merchandise also looks unhappy and useless! What do they do, kick it off of their delivery trucks? Do they hit their packages with bats before they stock shelves? I have seen more and more lately that the packaging for many items are damaged. I recently bought a two pack stacking tray for my desk at work, to find that it was broken. A piece was literally falling off of it, and the only reason why I didn't notice is because both of them were hooked together by a zip tie. I didn't even bother to take it back. Didn't want to have to deal with their never ending line in customer service. It's either pay for an item that's been damaged on the outside and hope that it's ok on the inside, or, they don't have the product at all. Many times you will find that their products are not stocked. You are Walmart! You aren't suffering! Why do you constantly have empty shelves?! My biggest complaint I think would have to be the infant/toddler clothing. Must everything be black and lacy or not age appropriate at all, period? My child is a child, not a hooker. Come on. This is a "family" owned chain....act like it. Also, the fruit is always rotten. And there is always fruit flies. The milk is usually a mess, something is always leaking. The make up area always has spilled nail polish and open items. The restrooms are ALWAYS nasty. I'd like to use a toilet where I'm certain I won't catch crabs. Every time I come here I get a good laugh specially when I walk in the lady at the front I call her vampire lady hahah she's straight missing her two front teeth. I'm not a regular here but I've been here a couple of times. Recently, I had been here to buy a few items for home decor. I have to say that the Home section was so exhaustive that I ended up buying more stuff than I wanted to. Right from cookware to toiletries to bedding there was so much choice. There was not a thing I couldn't find and to get them at such a steal! I never realized the perks of buying from a wholesale store until I went here. This particular Walmart store was also extremely organized with a lot of staff who were very helpful. There is a price scanner between every few aisles that made the whole compare and buy easier since in these big stores items are usually mismatched against the price labels. Billing was not a hassle here. I expected more choices in glassware. Also, I wish they had the big yoghurt tubs. The plain yoghurt were all non fat. Meh.. But overall, I had quite a fulfilling shopping experience here. read more

Olga was so busy in her conversation she totally ignored the nice young girl who was out of change and needing assistances. It took the girl a few minutes to figure out how to make change for my hundred after I gave her 3 extra dollars so she could just give me back two twenties. The girl tori was really sweet and just wanted to make sure she did her job right but Olga was so rude she didn't even acknowledge her once. What a horrible manager! read more

This walmart seems a bit overpriced...still cheaper than safeway though. But what really urked me was that I tried to return a shredder today, and am 2 weeks past the "3 month return policy." When I asked the manager why they don't tell you about this policy, she said they have signs posted everywhere in the return section. Well of course you do THERE, but why not anywhere ELSE so someone can actually see them BEFORE they buy stuff. The manager was very rude and offered no help and no other explanation other than, "there are signs saying so." In a pinch, can get what I need and get out. I, thankfully live closer to other stores. When I am in the area, I avoid this store 99% of the time. Have been in here time to time, like 5 times in 10 years. It is cleaner than some I have seen, have been to cleaner ones. My review is simply based on the customer service for the Electronics Department, and not the store in general, so I thought I should make that point clear before I write my review. Okay, I was told that you could get good deals on cellphones at Walmart, which is why I decided to check it out. Unfortunately, there was only one person in the department, and she was helping another customer. I decided to step away for a bit so she could deal with the customer she had. When I returned, I asked about the HTC One M8 phone, and she didn't really help me out. I asked if the phone takes SD cards, and she then asks, "what does the sign read?" She wasn't rude when she asked the question, but she seemed less than eager to help me. Either it was the end of the day for her, and she just wanted out, or, she took one good look at me in my business attire and assumed that I wasn't worth her time. Whatever the reason, I would've expected better from someone who works in the electronics department. She didn't even want to suggest any other phone that might have what I would want in it -- a space to put an SD card, for example. I calmly walked away; I felt as though as I wasn't worth her time, or that I was wasting her time. No more. I'll still go to Walmart for other items, but in terms of electronics, forget it. Although the prices are much better with their phones than other places, it doesn't mean anything when they have a sales associate that is less than eager to help you. read more

seriously what a pos, I bought a luggage for work one week ago and couple days later the zipper unzipped and all my shit fell out twice. It unzips, not like it tore, it isnt sturdy. Then i noticed the zipper tore and popped open again twice. I put all my medical supplies in there and use it 7 days a week, i spend around 50 dollars for this for them to tell my husband that he cant return it nor get an exchange because of the lack of receipt and oh the wear and tear looks longer than 30 days... well its a pos luggage its a week old and looks like it is longer than 30 days old. Thats their fault and not ours. Usually we can exchange without receipt it shouldnt be a problem. For them to treat us like liars really pissed me off. Now I can't find the receipt and think my husband tossed it, just know to save them all because you will be treated like a criminal and a liar. I love this place!! It looks like the zombie apocalypse!! Workers sluggishly stroll about the trash strewn, dirty, under stocked isles without acknowledging you. I watched a cashier take 15 minutes to check one customer out!! The clientele itself is better than the stuff you see on the internet! Not every Walmart is the same. This one is one of the really bad ones. Employees here have a very bad attitude, are rude, unhelpful and accused me of being a criminal for trying to use a manufacturer coupon that was printed from the manufacturer's website. Huh? Their own corporate coupon policy says that Walmart accepts printed coupons. The store manager told me I'm a liar. Huh? THERE IS SOMETHING SEVERELY WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE AT THIS WALMART! To me it looks like they have no oversight, I guess the regional manager rather "works" from home than cleaning up this horrific mess of a store. This store doesn't even deserve the one star - seriously. I am a fan of Walmart - simply because it is ridiculously cheap. However, after going to this one twice, I won't be going back. I realize its Walmart and I shouldn't expect Neiman Marcus ambiance or customer service - but this place is disgusting. My first and last time coming to this place. I was a new client and had brought my contact lens prescription because I didn't have a glasses prescription from my eye doctor. I had gone on a Saturday(8/18)with my mom for a second opinion and talked to Mark. I spent a good hour there picking out a frame, discussing that I wear contacts full time and wanted glasses as a BACK UP because my eyes get tired and the fact that I would like ultraviolet added to the lens because I work as a receptionist. He recommended that I get that since it's better for people that work in front of a computer for a long time. We went over multiple times that these glasses were a backup and said he was going to contact my eye doctor on Monday for the prescription so we could get the glasses. I paid $193 for the frame and each lens. The receipt/he said the estimated time arrival would be September 4. I get a call on September 6 saying my glasses were in. I pick them up on the 8th and James helped me this time but Mark was there also helping another guest. James looked at the receipt with the order and noticed there wasn't a prescription with the glasses. I immediately looked over at Mark who immediately countered, "yeah we were doing the glasses as a backup for when you're wearing your contacts". I was furious and said "no, these were supposed to be a backup in case my eyes were tired and I needed something else to wear. We went over this". James proceeded to try to help me and wrote a new order for me to get the CORRECT glasses WITH the prescription. So this is 9/8, he told me it would arrive on 9/18 with it expedited. I said that wasn't acceptable since this wasn't my mistake and I've been waiting a long time for these glasses to come. Mark budded in and said "from what I remember, it took so long because we were waiting on the prescription from your eye doctor". Incorrect! I got a call from Mark on 8/21 saying that his was able to get the prescription from my eye doctor and put the order in and it was ready to be paid for. I paid for the glasses on 8/25...so already 4 weeks have gone by. My CORRECT glasses FINALLY came in on 9/17!!!! I was so mad when I came in and asked to complain because this wasn't my mistake and I should've gotten my glasses a long time ago. Expedited doesn't mean a day earlier than expected delivery date. The manager had no empathy and said "it's a day early so technically that's still expedited". Are you serious?! This is not my fault and my glasses wouldn't have been messed up if your worker wasn't distracted and took my order correctly from the start. Went here last night (July 30,2020 at 8pm)to return my three furnitures that weights 300lbs or more.Rented a utility trailer at u-haul just to return all these furnitures(2 recliners & 70" tv stand).A stranger helped me out to put all these furniture to each walmart trolley.Push them one by one at the entrance and to my surprise returns is already close.Spoke to a lady guard & male store staff,they won't accept returns anymore because it was close an hour ago.Spoke to 2 managers named KIRSTEN & didn't see the name of the other manager (Mexican lady with curly hair).I beg & beg to at least consider my returns but both of them didn't offer some help.Both of them are very inconsiderate & inhumane.I know that even if they close the system they can do something to help me or at least offer to leave the furniture inside and make a note of it or endorse the return whoever comes in the morning so when I come back in the morning they can easily do the return process.But both of them are in a rush to go home or lazy to do it.They did not consider how heavy it was the furniture,they didn't care how i'll bring back in these furniture in the utility trailer and carry back home by myself "that is extremely inhumane".I was once a manager & I know that they can do something about it but refuse to do so & chose to be heartless in the middle of pandemic.. read more

Me and wife when to Walmart in Martinez to pick up some photos that we order on line. There was a new associate there name Jerry, he explain that he was new and if I didn't mind to be patient with him. To my surprise he gave great customer service. He ask me and my wife what we my need outside of picking up our pictures and escort us to other departments of our choices. Very friendly and kept saying where here to treat you special because the customer is the most important person...What I'm saying is it hard to find that type of customer service in large retail stores that think about customer first instead of profit. I started going to Walmart about 2 year ago. I will stop now. I was looking for patio accessories. Walked in the Walmart patio/garden area. A female named Urbina was stocking some bbq accessories. I asked if they have any patio chair cushions out or was it a seasonal item? She spoke spanish to me and I asked if she understood what I was asking, she told me she does not speak english. Didn't even attempt to have some one answer my question or ask for assistance. So Walmart hires non-english speaking employees without any customer service training, that is remarkable. Made an online order for in store pick up at 8:31 in the morning of 8/8/16. Was told it would take about 4 hours to put my order together. Now, I am in no rush to pick up this order. I received the email to pick up at 2:26PM. I go at 4:30 PM to pick up my order. Female rep scans my phone and my order comes up not found. She goes into the back to find out why. She comes back and says my order is not ready. Ummm.... wait... your email says otherwise. "Sorry, she says. "There's only one person in the back and she's been doing all the orders on her own." "I still shouldn't have received a ready to pick up email when the order isn't ready," I said She said, "I don't know what to tell you, it's not ready, I need your ID." "What for?" I said "So we can get your order,." she said. "How long will it take?" I asked "10 minutes or so," she mumbled. "10 minutes?" I exclaimed. "We have other orders and we have to do them in the order they are received," she explained. "No, thanks" I replied. "Sir, I need your ID" she firmly said. "No, I'm good," I said. "Are you going to cancel the order?" she asked. "No." I said. "SIR, YOU NEED TO GIVE ME YOUR ID!" she insisted. "No. thank you," I said "What are you going to do then?" she asked. "Nothing, I said and I walked away. I felt like she was giving me a ticket. Like I said, I am in no hurry to pick up this order. I can come back tomorrow. That is some crazy customer service. See, thing is, if the email doesn't tell me the truth, I am not sure I can trust the CSR. I can wait 10 minutes. This store is huge. I can find plenty of things to occupy my time. If I could give this place anything lower than one star, I definitely would in a heart beat. This is my second time trying to get something from the site-to-store pickup, and waited nearly 25 minutes. Another customer ahead of me spotted a rep walking by and asked for assistance, and the rep just walked passed without looking at us. I swear, the representatives here are unmotivated, untrained, and completely inept. Not that I typically expect much from Walmart, but this place really set the bar low in terms of customer service. 10/10 would rather spend more at Target than come back. read more

A breath of fresh air from the one in Richmond. More checkout lanes open. One gripe is the whole beauty- toiletry aisles are narrow. Whenever I come its nearly impossible to navigate. There are some many people. Plus there carts. Who don't have any common courtesy or aware that they're cart is blocking the pathway. A big pet peeve of mine. Don't just desert your cart because you see something you need and walk off. Be aware of your surroundings people. Tell me why they sell a gang load of Dallas Cowboys merchandise during football season. This is the Bay Area and we have two of our own great teams. I mean I know The Cowboys are Americas team and Walmart is an all American company. But don't ever try to shove the Cowgirls down my throat. Cant stand the Cowgirls. Take that crap back to Texas.
