Beware do not buy any thing here without inspecting it remove it from the box and make sure you get what you paid for ...On fathers day my 35 year old son went to pick up a gift at the electronics two nice gentlemen helped him jerome i believe was one of the sale associate. At the fathers day dinner when we opened the box the product had a scratches we realized this is used immediately called the store and on monday on my lunch break i went to exchange it not to get my money back but to bring it to their attention and get a new one somewhere between the time their receiving department got their hands on it and made it to the floor it had been tampered with... they are now investigating this issue in the mean while am the bad guy lets see what happens. I avoid it. Two to four registers are generally active out of something like twelve. A lot of the assistance doesn't speak English. But it's not just the store, it includes the customers. Many don't know how to park. They open their car doors, slamming them into those parked alongside. I have to get a dent repaired because of some pig. Now I'll photograph the license plates of the jerks next to me before I go in. People are too lazy to bring their shopping carts back or to a location available for carts. Instead, they push them to an available space, or just leave them next to their cars. And as an FYI to any parent who thinks that sending a kid to stand in a register line for them is going to work -- Don't even try it with me. It is very ghettoish. read more

My review is on 2 individuals and not the overall location or store itself. Let me start off by saying to Paul and JC, you are wayyyyyy too good for Walmart! This morning I was shopping at the Walmart in Richmond and found some Levi's Signature jeans which I have bought in the past for my daughter on clearance for $4 a pair. I was ecstatic as they fit her and hold up well. The minus was they only had 2 pair in her size. After I picked my daughter up from school in Pinole we headed directly to Walmart in Martinez to see if they had more in her size. Low and behold they did BUT they were $9 at this location. I stopped an employee, not knowing initially that it was the assistant manager, Paul. Told him about my purchase in Richmond and how I made the trip here to pick up on more as it was such a good deal. I knew it was a longshot but figured I would see how this was handled. He told me if I had the receipt showing exactly what I had bought and they matched etc. he would match the prices. Well of course, I don't carry the receipts with me and thought crap, I have to pay $9 for each pair. Well, being a smart manager he agreed to match the price in order to satisfy the all important customer, me. Being so happy in saving $15 on 3 pair of jeans and paying only $12 total my daughter and I walked over to electronics to check out the DS games. My daughter went to find someone to help us and I thought oh great we should be here for an hour or so. Within 2 minutes she returned with JC to happily help us. She was warm and friendly and very helpful. Our entire transaction took about 5 minutes, most of that trying to open and close the case. If I were rating the store itself I really would have to give it 1 star as it is pretty darn dirty and dingy. read more

I broke a pair of glasses that i got from Walmart that were less than a year old. Thank goodness I have backups. Imagine my surprise when i went in and they fixed them on the spot. Customer service has rapidly declined in quality the past several years. I have mostly just given up on even asking for help. However, today was completely different. On several occasions the customer service was great. 1) I needed a pair of water shoes. At first I hesitated, then I decided to ask an employee. She knew EXACTLY were the shoes were. There was only one pair left, but she was able to give clear directions to where they were. Later, I saw her again and she followed up asking if I had found them. 2) I was looking for a specific toothpaste. While I was looking, I was talking to myself, the employee then realized what I was talking about. Without being asked she showed me where it was located. 3) Towards the end, I was looking for sunscreen. I was reaching for it, and I knocked over about 20 bottle of sunscreen. An employee was walking by and put me at ease. As I was cleaning it up, she said I could continue my shopping and she would fix it for me. Overall, I was extremely pleased by the knowledgeable, professional, and kind women that helped me today. read more

I will never go to los banos Walmart auto department I regret getting tires from here, I put in all new tires last year 2017 went in july 2018 to get one of my tires replaced still under warranty, was informed by one of the employees wont mention name would take about hour and half so I walked around went to McDonalds then I went back to auto department my car hadn't been worked on at all :( about 2 hours later I went and asked how long more they stated I was next as time went by 30 minutes later another employee comes in states they don't have my tire and that just escalated I informed them I had called prior to make sure as well I had been waiting for now over 2 hours to be told they no longer carry that tire they paged manager Amanda several times to see if they could give me a different tire she never called back to employee or came to department, they sent me off with no tires called corporate stated I would get a call within 7-10 days, I waited almost about 3 weeks no call then I ended up calling corporate again they stated no later than 3 days district manager would call me and it has been 2 weeks and still no call, very bad customer service . You will obviously get low prices at Walmart but the service here is poor. Their website said they closed at 7 PM. I and a few other customers were trying to enter the store at 6:50 PM and an employee locked the door right in front of us saying they had to get ready to close and couldn't let us in. So I had to come back to try to do a return. I had previously purchased a clothing item there and even though there were no signs indicating they would not accept returns, they now have a policy that says they will not accept any clothing returns during Covid-19 surges. You have to wait and try to return them later on. I don't know of any other clothing store that does this. The other stores have figured out a way to return material, keep it in their stock room for three for three days and then put it back out on the floor. I don't care that this is Walmart's corporate policy. It's bad customer service. read more

Witnessed a Manager chewing a cashiers head off because she couldn't stay longer than her scheduled shift. I feel so sorry for people who have to deal with the poor management here. I had one of the worst experiences today. Not only was it embarrassing but the managers were degrading my dignity. I picked up a Moana doll that was advertised for 19.97$ on the shelf and when I went to purchase it at the front it rang up 20$ more. So I waited for the manager and she said that she couldn't give it to me at that price. She then called another manager who walked me to the toy section and asked me to point out the shelf. As I arrived to the shelf. All the tags on that shelf were pulled off! When I showed them the picture they said they couldn't do anything because the picture didn't include the barcode. The lady assumed that I had taken a false picture. It was embarrassing because I was at the front store for 20 min while other customers were upset at me. At the end one of the managers didn't want to give me the store managers phone number and said that his number was on the receipt, which wasn't. Just got back from Walmart Store. I walked into the store at 10:06 p.m. and started to approach the return desk. Before I even got over to the counter, an employee said in a loud voice, "we are closed for the evening". I was very surprised as I had just looked up store hours at home and noted the store was open until 11:00 p.m. There was one customer I could see that they had just finished with. There were 3 or 4 employees behind the counter. I had just driven 10 miles. I was upset. I will have to return to the store tomorrow. I worked in retail for 7 years. We did not treat customers like that. Especially since the information online does not say customer service department closes at 10:00 p.m. I have not had any trouble at Walmart before and so I was disappointed with this "customer service" encounter. Horrible walmart, besides out of stock issues that I see at a number of Walmarts, this one blares bad music all the time! Walmarts are supposed to keep it off! Besides the prices, the main feature of a Walmart is that I can hear myself think when I shop instead of having to constantly mentally fight whatever emotionally manipulative noise stores blare to try to control the emotions of shoppers in an Orwellian way. Most people don't care and will sing along with the stuff (making it even more irritating) but I don't like that crap. Keep it off! Second, the shoppers. Here's an experience that happened to me today: A subhuman shopper has their kids ride at the end of the cart so run up behind people and have their evil subhuman spawn start screaming at the top of their lungs once they're directly behind you solely to torture you and damage your hearing. And normally I would hear their cart coming up, but I can't over the blaring overhead music of the store. Just out of nowhere a scream louder than a smoke detector going off. It was louder than a gunshot! And it didn't go for a split-second like a gunshot, it went continuously! So out of nowhere (since I can't hear the carts over the store's blaring music), some subhuman parents snuck up and sent their evil demon spawn right behind me to scream louder than a gunshot. Nothing prompted the kids to scream, it was just a simple scream for fun, sadistic fun from these demons. And this was only my second visit--I imagine it gets much worse! I hope never to go back there! At my second visit I actually didn't check out but I saw in Ann Marie L.'s review that the scummy store has now decided to gouge on bags. JUST A REMINDER: IF A STORE CHARGES YOU FOR WORTHLESS PAPER BAGS (which you can't re-use for garbage or dog poop) THEN GO TO THE GARBAGE BAG SECTION OF THE STORE, PURCHASE THE PLASTIC BAGS THERE (they come in a pack where they cost about a penny each) AND TAKE IT TO THE REGISTER AND TELL THEM YOU BROUGHT YOUR OWN BAGS AND TO BAG THEM WITH THE PLASTIC BAGS YOU BOUGHT. I had to return an item I had bought online and I was having trouble returning it as the first time I did it, a new clerk debited my card and charged me instead of crediting it. But when I came back, 2 managers, Mikeisha and Rhonda, went the extra mile and fixed the whole thing, plus gave me a $10 bonus card for my troubles! Horrible, incompetent fools. I tried to cash a money order (issued by moneygram). I had an out of state ID which the manager would not honor (they apparently don't know there are 49 other states besides California). They screwed up filling out the authorization for the clearance, then flagged the money order. MoneyGram said I have to go back to this Walmart to remove a flag they wrongfully put on the money order (moneygram says the MO is valid). The Manager never answers the phone, so I basically have a money order that's good for toilet paper at this point. Idiots, idiots, idiots. read more

This review isn't just towards this Walmart but all Walmarts. This company really needs to catch up with their computer technology in order to better serve their customers. The inability to look up an item on a customers card for a return is ridiculous. We were trying to return some items & in the mist of moving, we lost of our receipt, first an employee tells us that customer service can look up the transaction by the card we used to purchase the items but that wasn't the case. Them they tell us that if we go to the Walmart we purchased the items at, they can look up the receipt. Well we drove to that Walmart & they told us that they couldn't do that. We didn't care to get the money back, a gift card would have sufficed. We had three items and the store credit was up to a $50 limit. The return was for $60. Ok fine! My wife returned two items & I tried to return the third one. They said I couldn't do that! What is the damn difference! Walmart is not going to lose money if we're getting a store credit, you dumb asses! So you know what...I'm just gonna go to a different Walmart & return my item. Worst experience store. At first I could not find anyone in Jewelry. Several people were waiting for more than 15 minutes. And this is a Saturday week before the Valentines. Asked a passing by stuff member, and she suggested to look for the appropriate person in shoes department. We could not find anyone there either. The at the check out, I left a bad behind. The carousel looked messy. I grabbed all the big items. But the empty open bags were barely different from the bag with my tiny items. I missed that. Then called the store 20 minutes later. Apparently no bag were found anymore and nobody noticed anything. something would never happen at the stores like Target, Trader Joe, etc. They also do bagging for their customers.
