I've been wanting to check this place out since I have been seeing it all over Facebook. I. Believe it's a boutique with different vendors. There was an assortment of different items. Even hats with Martinez on it, they were super cute. You walk in and you really see a lot of different items. All the way in the corner there was an area of pickled items, pickles, yummy yummy! The store was extremely clean and it's definitely a place that I would get someone a gift that's different than anything online. You can tell that the items are newer, nothing seems to sit on the shelves so I'm happy to see family owned business flourishing! I love giving back to my community and buying local. The lady in this store got into a verbal argument with me across the store about Taylor Swift when I was just having a conversation with my friends. I was clearly very uncomfortable and she kept going at me and my friends. Told me I was uneducated. Terrible customer service. Why would I buy something from someone who is arguing with me?? I'm honestly so shocked. We left immediately even though we were planning on buying multiple things lol. (I want to note that I like Taylor Swift and said that multiple times. It is so crazy to me that a GROWN woman chose to argue over Taylor Swift with me. I'm appalled.) read more

One of the best stores in downtown Martinez! Everything is from small and local makers, and they have a really great selection of items for everyone. I normally do not write reviews however, my friend my daughter and I have never been treated so poorly in a store. I have gone in there three times and have purchased over $300 worth of items in the three times. I have brought a friend and she purchased items. We will NEVER go back to this store again. The first time the lady was rude, I marked it up to maybe a bad day. There is no excuse as she has been rude all three times. The last time we were there my friend asked me "What is wrong with this woman?" I knew then it was definitely not just me. If I could have returned my purchase that day the very second I felt that chill go up my back I would have. One time maybe a pass, but three times there is NO excuse. Owner is very rude! I will never go back! I went with my mom and daughter and we could not understand why she was so rude to us! Maybe having a bad day?! But she made us feel so uncomfortable and un appreciated so we are passing the word along. Sad for a business owner. read more

This was my first time visiting the hive as it is a brand new store, and I came in the day before the grand opening. The boutique is adorable, and all the items are so unique and special as they are made by local artists. there is jewelry, pet/dog accessories, carved wood items, bags, wine glasses, totes, and so much more. Had the same experience as one of the other posters on here. Rude, rude, rude. Was looking at a pair of earring and realized that all of the other earrings by this vendor were made one way and this pair that I liked, another way. They did not lay flat on the ear and I brought it over to the clerk/owner(?) to mention it to her in a polite way, just for her information. The earring just needed a different hook into the earring. I would have purchased them if they lay flat. I thought maybe she would say that she'd contact the vendor and have it changed and I could come back and pick them up. She proceeded to be so rude, saying that she will not pass anything on to her vendors. It's their choice what they want to display. What a rude attitude! I have NEVER experienced a rude clerk like that. I told her I'd never come back. I left right away without looking at anything else since she obviously didn't want my business. Walked over to The Artisan Market on Main St. where the salespeople were darling and helpful. I purchased several items there. Save yourself the attitude and avoid this place!!! read more
