My last visit I got full synthetic oil, and the employee told me that I would be able to get 5000 miles, which was on the window sticker. This time I also got full synthetic and there was no mention of miles, and the sticker says come back in 3000 miles. This just seems not right. Oil covered the underbody, and I have pictures to prove the lack of attention of detail by the Williamsburg mechanic that works here.. Now my second oil change is complete and another 85$. Glad it was not an engine fire or blown engine. GREAT JOB GOODYEAR!!!!!!!! I did submit a claim and was pleasantly surprised with a full refund ( credit) on my second oil change out of state..... She took the time to explain everything to me and was patient in answering all my questions. She was even very empathetic when I told her the situation I was in (car had broken down on my way home and I was desperate to get back to NoVa ASAP for work.) She made sure to pass that info on to the mechanic (I think his name was Don, but now I'm seeing Chuck...maybe it was him? I'm not 100% sure--I'm terrible with names) who was AMAZING at his work and with his level of professionalism on the phone, and who may have finished the job faster than he otherwise might have since he knew of my situation. I really appreciated that. Marnie even called to follow up the next day and make sure I got back home okay! Honestly, when your car breaks down and you're pissed that you have to spend a bunch of money unexpectedly, it really helps to take your car to a place that at least makes the process as smooth and enjoyable as it could possibly be. I was able to book a 1pm appointment online, received a confirmation call within 10mins and was able to drop my car off at 10am to await service. My wife and I were hopeful to get the car back before the store closed. We were shocked to get a call at 12:30pm letting us know the car was ready for pickup - a full 30 mins before our appointment time!!! Firestone is my go-to tire place and so I ordered two replacement tires. When the lead technician, JR, went to install these new tires he also measured my existing tires, discovering that they were in very good shape and would pass inspection. And then he did the right thing: He called me to make sure I wanted tires that I didn't necessarily need. I had my car re-inspected at Firestone, passed with the existing tires, and it's the best $20 I've ever spent. Now Firestone will be my go-to for other services as well.

Since car wouldn't start I asked for a jump as I had my own jumper cables. He said no "sorry your day isn't going well." Got a friend to bring their car there and quickly jumped started. Took car to local dealer who tested the battery and it wasn't holding a charge ( only 80) and the alternator was fine pushing 13.7 volts. Had the dealer replace the battery. This Advance Auto Part employee had no idea what he was doing and the other two there didn't care. He also said clicking sound when turning the ignition was because of the alternator which is complete BS As that sound is the starter. I will never use this place again and will tell everyone I know about this shoddy business.
