I called over on the phone two days before my appointment at 1:30 PM for an alignment and exchange of tires. I came to this place because of the good reviews but ended up waiting two and a half hours for HALF THE JOB done. Almost charged me 140 for an alignment, I said NO! I was quoted a lower price. "This isn't the first time that this has happened" that the website, the receptionist I called, and the clerk who checked me in confirmed that the tires I requested were in stock. A guy came out to me 2 hours later, saying that he and his manager looked all over the warehouse for my tires and will not be able to do the job. Not to mention it couldn't even be done in the first place because my lug nuts are a two-piece screw top sets that I supplied a key for them, are a SAFETY CONCERN for the workers... this was ridiculous and a waste of time! Great prices, first of all. Love that they have the guarantee on mileage! Got my first DT set of tires in Chesterfield in 2020. All maintenance was done at Williamsburg location. They lasted me until March 2025, and well over the mileage guarantee for the brand (Cooper). Got my new set at the Williamsburg location, and prices were not that far off from my last set shockingly. I love how much they take care of you. You can't beat the price anywhere, and for it to include free air check, rotations, flat repair, etc is insane in the best way! My go to guy is Cody S. On Friday morning, May 29, 2026, I arrived on time for my 10:45 appointment to rotate and balance my tires, and an alignment check. I made the appointment online, not with the local store, but I was assured that this was not a problem. When I arrived, there was a sign at the door, welcoming someone for their 1045 appointment, not me. Inside the store there were plenty of people waiting, but no line at the counter. There were DT workers on the phone and moving about. They all successfully ignored me for more than 20 minutes as I stood there.By that time, there was a line behind me. When I was acknowledged at the desk, I was told that because I had a 1045 appointment, my work would be finished by 11:45. I took a seat. Before 11:45 a man wearing a black shirt approached me to update me. Before any mention of the work I had requested, this man launched into how important it was for me to replace my spare tire since the vehicle was 10 years old. He had not inspected that tire because in conversation he did not know whether it was a full-size tire or compact spare. I declined that work. He then told me that my vehicle would be out front ready in six or seven minutes. As he began to walk away I asked him if all of the work had been completed including the alignment check. He told me they did not do an alignment check not withstanding my 1045 appointment. By the way, when I arrived, that bay was wide open and remained that way as I was ignored in the store. He then told me that they did not make appointments for alignment contrary to the information concerning alignments available in a brochure on the counters. He had no response concerning how I would know when to come back for that service, just first come first served. His answers were ratified by a man behind the counter, wearing a red shirt. I accompanied him to the counter to check me out. The rotate and balance service is free since I purchased my tires from DT. Now,this part is important: alignment checks are also free according to their advertising. A service which had not been performed, and would have been important to determine if an alignment was necessary. He has told me that he needed to take the $89.99 for an alignment off the invoice. Not only had my requested alignment check not been performed, he / Discount Tire were ready to charge me for an alignment. The man in the Red shirt assisted. Historically, Discount Tire has been the place to go for integrity, honest quality and service. Apparently, Not Now.. read more

Appointments don't matter, you'll still wait 2+ hours even if they say it'll be 1.5 hours. They didn't even start on my car until 1.5 hours after the appointment time and after saying it won't be much longer once they got it started, it still took another 1.5 hours. Waste of your time since you can't get a good gauge on timing if you're deciding whether to wait or not. read more

This place is top notch for customer service. I have had them patch a tire along with coming in to get my tire pressure checked. They have always been really friendly. In addition they offer a free service that you can just pull up and they will check the tire pressure for free. You don't even have to get out of your vehicle. read more

I was so impressed with the service and their attitude that I told them I'd bring my car back later. 3 weeks later I did, got all 4 tires replaced and an alignment. Have had multiple visits to this location and each one has been outstanding. Had a flat tire and they fixed it for free - And the tires hadn't originally been purchased through them! They make it clear that their number one priority is customer safety. Will go through them for all our family's tire purchases in the future - Extremely accommodating to every customer's budget and make sure you are getting the most out of your money. So initial customer service is great the workers make the check in process easy! The BAD is that I had an appointment at 3pm got there a few min early as usual checked in sat and waited for an hour just to get my truck in the bay to get tires put on everything paid for prior by the way. Next was suppose to be my alignment well another gentleman came in about an hour and a half after me and was in and out within 1hr will I didn't receive my vehicle until after 6:15pm my truck sat outside for over 1hr and a half while multiple vehicles were taken care of even though they arrived after me!!! And all I got was an apology no reimbursement no discount nothing!!! So the perception was that if you know the workers they take care of you first and then worry about other customers later! Oh and the guy that they all knew was walking around in the garage like he owned the place no safety goggles on standing right next to the workers working on his vehicle talking and distracting the employees making them take even longer! Employees are non communicative , they will skip certain people in front of you and will not accept constructive criticism. Been waiting here for over 3 hours for tires , vehicle was scheduled to already be done by this time but it hasn't even made it to the bay and they say they are backed up but there's only one car in the bay. When I asked them they said they would take it back in a second, it's been over 20 minutes since the manager told me that and vehicle still hasn't moved. Worst experience so far thanks Discount tire. Second time in two places, each far removed from each other that I have had an outstanding experience with Discount Tire for the same issue - both times with tires not purchased from Discount Tire and both times due to a foreign object piercing a tire while far from home on a trip. Also, both times, all employees, manager on down, were courteous, helpful and just outstanding. Picked up a screw in a quite new tire after leaving Colonial Williamsburg. Quick map check showed this store one mile from the discovery of the problem. Hit the store around 4 pm and it was very busy - big concern - proved not to be. Jose checked us in and kept us updated. The whole team at the store also kept us up to date. We were out by 5:30 with a professionally mended tire and a smile from the team. I had a bad experience today with a sales representative blaming me for their tires only lasting me 13,000 miles. The tire I purchased was estimated to last 40,000 miles, which is what they told me at the time of purchase. They also let me know that the tire if it didn't last the full amount of miles they would give a credit to me for needing to purchase new ones. I had ALREADY had to buy new ones on their recommendation, because of the tire tread being too low. This time I failed inspection due to my tire tread, which was at 4 according to the inspection. The tire associate blamed my car for being too heavy, blamed me for not having a rotation done - remember I have only had the tires for 13,000 miles and while it is recommended to have them rotated 6-8,000 miles so it wasn't as if I had driven for years without a rotation. AND I had stopped in to have my tire pressure checked twice in the last month and they never mentioned that I should have them rotated even though it states on the Discount Tire site that having the air checked is a good way to know if your tires need to be rotated. I was very disappointed in the lack of offering to help with the expense of having to replace these after only 13,000 miles. read more

They have a third party app that determines exactly what tire is best for every vehicle. I had them look up my car & the tires I was going to get. Ordered my tires online from Discount Tire. They were delivered to the Williamsburg store faster than promised at a lower delivered price than Tire Rack. Drove up for my appointment. Was immediately directed into a bay and offered the option of staying in my car while the tires were changed over so I did. From the time I drove in to the time drove out was exactly 20 minutes. Nice! Room for improvement: - Had to ask for my receipt and paperwork. - I knew there was a rebate card available thru Continental but it would have been nice if DT had mentioned it after the install. Or given the amount of promos they'd have to keep track of it should have flagged on the receipt. $70 is not a small amount of money. - Wheels were clean when I came in and fairly dirty when I drove out probably from the mounting and balancing machines. Don't expect them detailed at all, but a wipe down would have been nice. Didn't notice until I got home. - Tire pressures were 33psi cold when I measured them this morning. 29psi is recommended and it was even on the receipt. This was careless and could lead to premature wear. read more

Just a reminder that Discount Tire in Williamsburg may be the only honest tire shop I've ever been to. Again and again they not only beat every competitor but they apply discounts, like in this case a tread life mileage rebate, I wasn't even sure I could get. Long story short I bought the current tires are another shop in town and paid for road hazard. 1.5 years later I have a hole in one tire and 4/32 left on the tread. 27800 miles on 60k mile warranty. The other shop offered to sell me the same tires for 400 more than I paid originally and offered me no mileage rebate for them. I came to discount and I'm getting better tires, and after the rebate for the milage warranty they are half what the other shop wanted. I Can't say enough about Discount Tire, Nick was really helpful. And I may actually end up with new tires and out the door faster than it took the other shop to "check if they could repair it". I arrived at 2 because i had a nail in my car and needed it patched. I walked over to aldi and got back at 2:20. A lady walked in at 2:30 and her car went back before mine and was finished at 3:15. while my car was still parked in the same spot. we were both given an hour wait time. then a man walked in at 3:00 and his car also got in before my car. my car still remained in the same parking spot. his car also finished 5 minutes after they decided to bring my car back. 1 hour turned into 2 hours. i will not be returning. this is absolutely ridiculous. read more

I got an email suggesting I arrive 15 minutes early, which I did. It was 4:10 before they pulled my truck in and started changing tires.
