I showed up stressed out after dealing with an oil pressure issue overnight on my Ram 1500. I got there right at 7:30 when they opened, and before I could even finish parking, a guy named Elijah comes walking straight out with a smile, like he's been waiting for me all morning. I told him what was going on, oil pressure all over the place, worried it was something serious, and he just said, "Don't worry, man. We'll take care of you." And he actually meant it. No corporate script, no fake friendliness, just a guy who clearly knows cars and actually gives a damn. He walked me through everything, what oil they use, why they use it, what filter they were putting on, even checked my air filter and fluids without once trying to upsell me like every other oil place on earth. (You know the kind, the ones who act like your transmission's about to explode if you don't buy their $79.99 "Performance Package.") Not here. Elijah showed me my air filter, topped off my coolant and wiper fluid, and didn't try to sell me anything unnecessary. In fact, he was so genuine that when he mentioned wiper blades, which I actually needed, I bought them without hesitation. That's how you know a guy's honest, when you want to spend money with him. The shop itself is small from the outside, but don't let that fool you, they've got serious equipment and even better attitudes. It's clean, organized, and clearly run by people who take pride in what they do. I'm not even from Houston (I'm up in Dallas), but after this experience, I might just start timing my oil changes for when I'm down here on business. Seriously. I was going to go to Take 5 down the street, but the reviews there read like a horror story, people claiming they didn't even change the oil, just topped it off. Dodged a bullet. Elijah, man, you crushed it. You made what's usually a chore feel like catching up with a friend who happens to be really good at cars. You deserve a raise, a trophy, and possibly your own Netflix show called "The Oil Whisperer." So yeah, if you're anywhere near Houston, skip the chain shops and go to Costa Oil. Ask for Elijah. You'll leave with fresh oil, a clean conscience, and the strange feeling that getting an oil change can actually be... enjoyable.

This is the best customer service I've ever gotten from any auto service business. Let me first say…read morethat my dealership told me I needed new brake pads almost a year ago and that I needed to get it done soon or I would need to replace the rotors, as well. They sent me pictures from the technician and gave me a description of each worn brake pad. At that time I didn't have the money they quoted me, and since then I've been driving around worried about mechanical issues and the money it would cost to get the work done. Recently, I realized I needed new tires, so I went to Sun and got a quote for new tires, brake pads, and a new TPM for the front passenger side. The cost of the brake pads, plus labor quoted at Sun was $2K cheaper than my dealership. I made arrangements to bring my car in today and they arranged a ride to take me back to work, which they paid for. A couple hours later they called to let me know I didn't need new brake pads and they still had about 60% life in them. They suggested replacing all four TPM'S, and I agreed. When I went to pick up my car, the cost for four new quality tires, all new TPM's, and an oil change was less than $1200. I will never return to my dealership and I will only do business with Sun Auto, as long as they keep up their epic service. I saved thousands of dollars today thanks to these guys. Give them a shot, you won't regret it.

No idea what's going on. I sure hope I don't break down now. What. Will follow up if my truck bricks. Update: turns out there were missing bolts for my skid plate and several were stripped out/broken. So they updated to all new bolts. Nice gesture! However, they informed me of this AFTER doing it, which apparently added a significant amount of time. It's best to tell someone BEFORE you make them sit there for an extra 30 minutes, why you're making them sit there for an extra 30 minutes. Nice customer service, and at the same time, terrible customer service.

So, we thought we should be out of there in about 30 minutes. It ended up taking two hours. There were 3 employees working. Only one seemed to know what he was doing. He was underneath the car, and commented on the skid plate. He then switched places with another employee while he went to work on the car in the other bay. This employee was asking him questions about what he should be doing, which really made me nervous. No sticker with the mileage that the car should get a new oil change. I imagine it's a pretty decent value for an oil change you aren't worried about, but the experience made me feel nervous. The check engine light came on days afterwards, I know it probably just didn't get reset, but either way. My husband left a review, which was responded to, but he called, was told he would receive a call back, but it's been 3 days, and nothing. I will not be visiting this location again based on wait time and competence.
