I took my car in at the beginning of August 2025 (ill have to pull the exact date). I paid for an oil change (full synthetic) which isnt cheap. Fast forward 3 weeks later...my oil is leaking. There was no leaks previously until after going to Take 5. I end up taking it to the dealership and they fixed it (free of charge) and it was due to the oil filter leaking. This is unacceptable. I tried to change my friends oil for her and Take 5 put the filter on so tight that a 350 lb torque wrench couldn't get it off. These people are insane. So, we put new oil in and would have to bring it in the next day. In that time, much of the oil leaked out and now her car is in the shop. I guess I was able to loosen it just a bit, so that's my fault. These people tighten it so hard so you'll have to go back to them every time. read more

This is the third time I've come here for an oil change and each time it's taken almost an hour. The convenience is not worth it. Some of the employees are very helpful, but they really need to get their act together. They are quick to greet me, and find out what I need. I appreciate that. But when the guy that's supposed to do your oil change spends the first 20 minutes looking for his phone then something is wrong. I've been coming to this location since they opened for oil changes. The staff is always friendly, helpful and the cold bottle of water they offer when you pull up is a nice touch. I like coming to Take 5 locations because I buy Royal Purple synthetic oil and can insure this is what's being used since you're able to relax in your vehicle while they perform the service. They just treated me like I knew nothing about my car. They were also complaining about other people right in front of us. Nobody asked what service I wanted I had to inform them. I requested mobile 1 and they stated they don't have it in stock. I was annoyed at this but then they said they didn't pull the plug so I can leave. I've been having problems with my oil after the oil change I got from this location. And come to find out they never put any oil in my car. They just drained it and never put oil. Three guys worked on it. None of them notice. It took so long and yet nothing was done. I'm getting my money back because there's no way you can just charge me for a job not done. And on top of that you put damage to my car. I'm getting my money back and suing this location & the employees. This is my only vehicle and I work two jobs and you're getting in the way of my money. This location is definitely not recommended. Went twice to try to get the car inspected and an oil change. No inspector on the 1st trip. I called the location # prior to the 2nd trip to confirm the inspector was working. Call center confirmed inspector was there until closing time, but that wasn't true. Employee at location kept AirPods in entire time and kept asking us to repeat ourselves. They also didn't confirm the oil level with us like usual at their other locations. read more

honestly, don't waste your time on this place. It should be called. Take an hour instead of take five. I waited in line for over an hour and once I got up to the bay they started working on a truck that was there after me. Once I asked the guy about it he told me "well. I did tell you it was going to be a long wait. Also these are trainees and they don't know how to service a Toyota so how can they start on a car that they don't know how to service." And I said well "I didn't know that" he said "yeah I know I was just explaining that to you". Come to find out they don't even have the conventional oil that I need. That could've been told when they told me that it was going to be a long way, they could've just said if your here for conventional oil we don't have any and i could have went on my mary way. On July 7th I went to this location and got an oil change and a coolant flush. Ever since the coolant flush my truck has been over heating and is now inoperable. I have called over and over again. Left voice messages for someone to reach back out to me. Got lucky one time and got a hold of someone and they told me they couldn't get a hold of anyone at the store. Do not go alone as a female, they will take as advantage of you. My adult daughter has been using this facility for years now and said her fluids were marking low. My husband went to check her car due to the expected freeze and found all the fluids were low. He could not open the radiator fluid reservoir because it was stuck and crusty from not being opened in so long. Well come to find out she took her car in a month ago to this location to get her oil changed and they instructed her she needed her washer reservoir to be replaced at a cost of $400. Luckily she didn't do this at the time and said she would do it later. She was also another heating part was needed to be replaced at a cost of $300. We added over a gallon of fluids to the radiator and her heater is working fine now. My husband (who is mechanically knowledgeable) instructed her not to use this facility again. Very disappointed in this place and it was actually recommended! I should have checked the reviews before I went because a couple of them hit dead on to what I experienced! Pulled up there was two vehicles in the bays so I was third bay. The greeter was great offered water and checked my tires, added air to one and then I sat there!!!!! One truck leaves another pulls in to bay two and they immediately lift the hood on this new comer and I'm still sitting. So I ask the greeter do you know how much longer it will be and he says oh after the two trucks you are next, I said the red truck pulled in after me and he says oh well when they finish black truck you are next not true at all and 22 minutes had past, Sat there another 25 minutes watching them working on the red truck! Felt like I was invisible, not sure if it was my skin color or the CA plates! I finally asked this other guy stand in over by computer messing with papers, if there was anyone or anything that would keep me from moving and he said no you can pull straight out and I did, and once out of the bay I had to get out to close my hood! I was advised of an initial 20 minute wait however that turned into nearly 45 minutes. Secondly, I asked the Employee to check my in cabin filter and he advised me that he would have to take my entire dashboard off! I read the buyer beware reviews, but decided to give them a chance nonetheless. BIG MISTAKE. I'll start with the pros... They're super quick, super convenient not having to get out of the car. There was no wait. Now the cons...The whole experience was a literal con. I explained it was my first time there. The tech had me pull up and right away they went to work. BEFORE explaining the packages to me. The tech takes my name and info and begins to explain the packages. Standard stuff. They basically have a premium package at $85+, two midrange packages between $65-75, and then a pretty much basic oil change valued at $42.99. They're all visible on a board that says PROUDLY PROVIDING (previously mentioned package and another Mobil oil package) RIGHT before the basic package. I tell the tech that's the one I want, that $42.99 package. She tells me I can't get that one. "Why not?" She says, "because you need a 20 weight oil in your car, I can't give you that one. You can have these..." points to the $65-75 oil changes, nonchalantly... Nah, I say, "just put that lil oil you took out of my car, back in, and I'll make my way on to Jiffy Lube, where I know they can do what I want..." Technician says "I can't, he's already done..." gesturing to another tech that just popped up from underneath the car... So this is what we're doing? Don't get me wrong, I understand most of these businesses "up sell" to make a profit, but Take 5 is just predatory. That's okay though, just as nonchalantly as the tech swiped my card, I dialed that 877 number on the back and filed a partial dispute...do better. read more

My 17 year old son needed an inspection, so I told him to take his car to Take 5 on Rayford. After his passed inspection, he tried to pay with his Copper card, and it wouldn't work, so he called me to come and pay for it. I checked his card balance, and he had plenty of money. I went to the location and gave him my card. I went home, and after about 20 minutes, I texted to find out what was taking him so long. He said they made him go through the car line again to run my card. Why? I called the store and asked the woman who answered why they would do that. After explaining what happened, she put me on hold. A couple of minutes later, it went to voice-mail. I called back, and they wouldn't answer. Called back again, and they immediately hung up. So this is the continues of the awful service I received at Take 5 on Rayford. I went to get an oil change on my Mercedes. Everything seemed ok as I am headed home my car starts to smoke. I called the number to the store, it sent to customer service. They told me to take it back so I sent back smoke coming out of my engine. Well they didn't put the oil cap on tight enough and lost about a quart of oil. Luckily I didn't get on the highway. Then several weeks later I had to go drive to Austin as I am headed that way. I am almost to Austin I hear a loud nocking noise from under the hood. So I pull over and see that those idiots didn't put the engine cover on right and it came loose and was hitting the cooling fan. THAT I JUST HAD REPLACED!!!!! So now my engine cover is ruined and the cooling fan is ruined. THEY ARE AWFUL!!! Guess who has to do all these repairs ME!! FUCK THIS PLACE!!!
