Husband called this morning inquiring about an inspection for my vehicle as well as his. He was told by someone at this location to come in after 1:30 because the guy who does this work was at lunch. So, we arrived around 1:45 to be told that no they didn't have time today for either inspections because their guy is working on something all day. I originally took my 2013 Hyundai Accent over to this location when Harvey came through and had some flooding into the car. Steve and the crew worked hard to get the car working and helped answer any questions that I had. They also went through and made sure to work with my insurance for any issues that may have popped up and needed additional funds. Till this day, I have taken my car to these guys for any issues that I may run into as well as my oil changes. Here in a week or so I'll be there again for another oil change as well as getting the car checked and prepared for the trip in the snow. So I must preface this with I did not use their service. The reason follows- I needed to get my a/c checked last minute and booked an appointment online for 8:00 the next morning (Saturday). I arrived at 7:47 and went in. The man behind the desk said they didn't open until 8 so I asked to sit and wait, I was told the owner did not allow that and was asked to wait outside. I went to my car and left. My feeling is that if this was the level of customer service I could expect I would just take my business elsewhere. Just my opinion. read more

I took my vehicle in there to get an alignment done and when I drove out of town I noticed it was doing the same thing it was before I took it in when I got back in town I took the tire off and looked and they had never tightened up the control arm nuts it doesn't say that I was about ready to lose a wheel when I took it back to them they told me they never even adjusted that side for an alignment and that they were not going to fix my vehicle two and a half hours for something they told me it would take 45 minutes and they never fixed it and not to mention my vehicle never had a oil leak before I took it in and now leaks oil never take anything to these people they're rude their rip off a total scam read more

Alex/Steve i hate to do this , although i am giving you 2 Stars because of Alex's customer service provider. However, my experience regarding my car issues was unpleasant with you guys. I admit i had many problems with my BMW X5 , but my complain against autocheck is that you almost diagnosted not the right problems even after i spent about $2200 with you. 1) You replaced the alternator which was not at fault. - According to the diagnostics with bmw computer-machinery the alternator is rarely replaced unless 80, 000 + miles has passed (mine had 50 thousand miles), although you replaced it anyway. 2) You Replaced the battery , inteigence sensor , adaptor and power distribution box. - You placed the wrong battery, an AGM battery was needed instead , and you agreed to reimburse me with it due to placing wrong one , and i thank you for that. - You placed an inteligjence sensor which went bad 3 months after you installed it , for which you charged me $365 on parts plus $275 Labor plus tax just for that. On top of that, according to the owner Steve you guys make the prices up on each part meaning you dont give us the retail price , that may be something you usually do, but if i would know prior to confirming the part price , i would have asked to buy the price my self instead of paying for a part $365 which in retail is $240. When i asked for reimburesement on the intelligence sensor after it went bad, according to Steve , the owner, i was told some unexpexted unlroffesional and rude answers which pushed me posting on here, i wont give details about his answer, just want to end it here. Very unhappy, not because autocheck did not give me a reimburesement , but because of the knowladge their staff carries, the reasons of which are mention abovd section 1 and 2. We took our Dodge Ram 1500 here because the AC was not working and the truck was making a loud noise. We were told the AC fan needed to be replaced, three pulleys and a belt. The total cost was going to be just under $1200. We decided to get a second opinion and so glad we did. We had a mobile repair company company come to our house and look at our truck. They replaced the AC fan and one pulley. The belt and two other pulleys were not needed. We ended up saving almost $800. Now $200 of that savings ended up having to do with them modifying the AC fan so they didn't have to discharge the air conditioning system. Still, we saved a lot money by not using Auto Check to complete the repairs they said we needed. I'm giving this place two stars because they are always friendly, but I'm just not 100% sure if they're always honest. read more

Being in the customer service industry for so long, good customer service is very important to me. This shop does not disappoint! Truly GREAT customer service. Did my repairs quickly and did not make me feel pressured to do more. Will definitely be back. It feels great to have found a shop I can come to regularly. So far so good. I found this place close to my work and stopped in based on their excellent Yelp rating and they had a coupon running. As I walked in I was greeted immediately. Questions answered, price given for a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation, and I could use the coupon. I'm sold! Very clean waiting area with coffee, water and free wifi. Good decor too, lots to look at. The service has been pretty quick so far, brought my car in after 5 minutes. I was asked to get my wheel lock and as I walked through the shop floor it was very clean. The mechanic I spoke to was very courteous also. I think this might just be my new go-to place. read more

Great experience at Auto Check. Found on Yelp due to good reviews. Took our Ford Flex in with some brake issues and noises that several other mechanic places could not find or figure out what the problem was. One auto place told us we needed a new engine. Right?! The guys at Auto Check were reliable, reasonable, the friendliest customer service we have ever had from an auto shop. Found our issues and replaced parts at a reasonable price. They have recently acquired loaner cars free of charge should you need to leave you car overnight without means of travel. Great service all around. I took my car in for an air conditioning issue. I was told it was a coolant temperature sensor. After it was replaced, I was told that my compressor worked for about 4 seconds and it broke. I was quoted a price of $1400+ to fix. I was told I needed a compressor, drier, and expansion valve. Needless to say, I got a second opinion. It was the condenser and total cost to fix was $300. I will not be a repeat customer and I suggest you go elsewhere. read more

My family has had many services done here in the past but this last experience was truly disappointing. I took my car in for a diagnosis which led to the replacement of throttle body & spark plugs. After repairs, I noticed the issue continued so I called to report it since they "guarantee" their work. The issue got progressively worse so I took it in again. They re-ran the diagnosis only to charge me another $130 for the diagnosis because it was a "new issue" but the same symptoms. What a load of crap! They claimed the issue was related to an engine recall but turns out it was just the crankshaft sensor. The issue has since been fixed. I do not recommend their services and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I went here to get an alinement for my car (Kia Rio)and I was handed a $2,000 bill for an axle beam, left rear strut and was told that my car was too damaged to do an alinement. Oh and that I shouldn't be driving the car because it was dangerous. Next day I go to Kia Motors and they tell me my axel beams are fine but I do have a problem with the RIGHT FRONT strut (which they can fix for $465) but they were still able to do an alinement. Also my car is fine to drive. DO NOT go here, especially if you are a woman. They are either seriously incompetent and/or con artists. read more

Went to get a crackshaft sensor installed, brought my own part. I tried to get it but couldn't reach it. So after a bunch of waiting they called and said they took apart my cam sensor and I had the wrong part... I told them that I said crankshaft... They fixed it but charged me double for something that takes 20 minutes labor 150$ I was telling them that it's bullshit but I still paid the bill. I came in to get a card and said I'mma need to take care of this this mf said if I stop payment he's gonna come after me... C'mon BOY! read more

Brought my vehicle to the 1960 location near 45N to be diagnosed for fuel cap light being on. Harvey recommended that a smoke test be done to determine where the leak was coming from even though I suggested where to start. Reluctantly, I went with what they recommended. After the smoke test was "completed" it was found that I had a bad purge valve solenoid and a bad fuel cap. Both of which had already been replaced by a previous company. I made them aware of that but was told that they were bad anyway. After they replaced the parts I drove it considerably to see if the light would come back on and the very next day it did. After bringing it back to them and it having to sit over the weekend I was told Monday morning that it was the ESIM that needed to be replaced and it would be $400 on top of the $200 Id already paid to have them replace parts that I had replaced before I brought it to them. I decided to just pick up my truck to take it somewhere else but when I did I noticed they had to jump it to get it started. I asked the tech what happen and he said it just died sitting up over the weekend. I had not had any issues with my battery especially being that I bought it last year. When I got home immediately after picking up my truck it would not start so I called them. I told them that I believe my key was left on over the weekend while it was with them. Harvey and Steve then told me that it was a Walmart battery and they go out and to just take it back to them. Not taking any responsibility for the situation or care just as they did with the previous repair. He then offered to let it sit on the charger if I bring it back but how am I to do that if I can't get the vehicle started?? DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. They will throw parts at it until they figure it out and will not take responsibility if they drop the ball. read more

I got screwed around by another shop named CARS ON 2920 that was guessing on issues or just trying to get more money out of me with a issue I was having on my Jeep. Glad I got a second opinion!! Not only was Autochek cheaper but also honest about not needing an unnecessary replacement Power steering pump. They fix the problem and I ended up saving $400. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. My wife's Kia Sorrento AC lines needed to be replaced, they replaced it for a reasonable price. They also let me know what was wrong with the vehicle and would eventually need to be replaced (accurate). I was on my way to work one day and my truck stopped running. I was able to make it to the parking lot before they opened. Waited for an hour and they saw me right away as soon as they opened. They diagnosed the problem and had me out the door in an hour and a half. Well today, my wife's car didn't want to start. So I called and I think I spoke with Steve. I asked for a quote to replace the starter. I was informed that it might be the battery instead of the starter. Not to replace the starter until I checked the battery. Lo and behold, it was the battery. I just saved a couple of hundred dollars. I will continue to use this place when I have major problems that I can't fix myself. read more

I been here last-week for the brake pad replacement due to the misjudge coming from the brake. However , after looking at it the owner of the shop honestly told me that my brake pads still in good condition and suggests that i shouldn't replace the pads and offered me a free checkup to see whats the cause of brake noises !!!
