The kid took his car over to get and oil change. There were some issues that required a monetary outlay for repair. This was not due to anyone's fault but the technician who worked on the vehicle and is no longer employed at the shop. I was met with absolutely no resistance to the claim and both Thomas and and the owner showed great integrity. I will be sending the kid back to the shop in the future. They've earned our trust. Things happen. It is how you deal with them that makes your mark in this world. These gentlemen made a lasting impression. Went in for the "free ac check". First guy I dealt with was rude and should not be dealing with customers. The guy that came out to the parking lot was nice enough. Gentlemen came out who was not a tech, took the temp of the air coming out of vents, looked at the compressor clutch then depressed the schrader valve on the system to see if there was refrigerant. I didn't expect them to do much for free but thought they would at least put it on a gauge to check pressure. Total waste of time as I already knew my ac wasn't working. Next step would be a $400 drain and recharge. read more

It took some time to track down the information I needed to get the state inspection completed, but Ivan was super nice about it and didn't give me a hard time about it. The service itself didn't take more than 15-20 min and when I was advised that the mileage was beyond the recommended oil change window, I didn't feel like I was being upsold, which is a complete 180 from my usual experience at a car shop. First time here close to home thought I'd stop by and got right in for an oil change. Attendant was very friendly and was right on on my 30 minute quote on the wait time. Lounge area is very clean with tv and for refreshments water and coffee are on hand. Leather seats make the wait more tolerable. Went to get annual inspection and was failed due to low power steering fluid in reservoir. This is a subjective bogus failure of Kwik Kar as I only needed two tablespoons of fluid which cost me $3.25 at advanced auto. Way to go advanced auto. Plus another $1.00 burning the $5/gal gas we pay now. Do not go to Kwik Kar for any repair as they will hood wink you into repairs that more than likely are not necessary. Bart (the owner) and Thomas (the manager) both reached out to me after seeing my review and concerns, and I have to say, these folks have great customer service. Thomas took the time to thoroughly read my review, find me and my parents' information, verify the invoice, and truly reflect on the experience while still calling me early Monday morning to apologize and offer me a refund. I happened to walk in today to talk to him about the situation and saw that he wasn't trying to oversell a customer on a diagnostic. I could see that Thomas was very passionate about helping the customer figure out the problem while being candid that there may be more to it than a code could tell. After speaking to Thomas and seeing how he walked me through their process and identifying where the possible miscommunication happened, I knew that he has the "heart of a teacher" (for all the Dave Ramsey fans). He made it clear that he's more than happy to take his customers out to the car and show you why they would recommend any service - something that you can't find much of these days in auto shops. I'm more grateful that they took the time to touch base with their team and owned up to the mistake. There was some honest miscommunication, but after having a long chat with Thomas, shaking his hand, and seeing the way he took care of his customers, I feel better knowing that this is an honest shop. I've used these guys to repair a couple of my vehicles. 1st one was a 2010 range rover sport that had a head gasket leak. It took a little longer than expected but not much longer than the dealership. The price was about half that of range rover. I was happy... until my wife totalled it shortly after. Just bought a 2006 land rover lr3 that had worn out lower control arms. I bought the parts off the net and they installed them yesterday in a couple hours, did an alignment, and I'm good to go. Price was great. Again, I'm happy. Thomas, the manager, and Bart, the owner, are straight up good, honest guys. These scammers charged my wife $115.85 for an oil change and safety inspection. Without even going into it more, THAT IS INSANE! It gets worse, they took advantage of her innocence and couldn't even muster up the bravery to tell her SHE DIDN'T EVEN NEED TO HAVE IT INSPECTED! She was exempt due to new texas laws combining inspection and registration- I know this for a fact because my car had the same inspection and registration dates, and when I went to my shop they had the decency to just tell me that plainly - and by doing so ensure my future business at the risk of not getting a couple extra bucks in the moment. I will actively tell all of my neighbors and friends in the Gleannloch, Klein, and Champions area to STAY AWAY. Go to any of the other auto shops, you have your pick of dozens that are seconds away. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. They have no clue as to what they are doing. They lie to you and tell you what you want to hear and then do shoddy work. They had my vehicle for numerous weeks and still couldn't complete the job. When I would call they would hang up on me. Very unprofessional - STAY AWAY. Fast Forward a couple weeks - The work they did that I paid for had to be redone. So I disputed it with my credit card and their side was all lies. I'd rather pay more once then give these people a chance to mis-diagnose the job and try and charge me twice. Brought my daughter's car here because her AC was not cooling and they said it was "fixed"...no kidding it didn't work when she drove off. ($430) We were told to drive it for a week...surprise still not working. Long story short I took it to the dealership and they asked incredulously, "Who worked on this car???" As a young lady whose car needs a lot of work, I have never felt jerked around or anything but respected. Had to take my car in because my tire was almost flat. They found the leak but couldn't fix it because it has to be patched from the inside and they don't have the equipment to do that. But they were so kind to take the tire off and would have patched it if they could. The service guys were all very nice and their customer service was amazing. I will definitely bring my car back when it needs repair or an oil change. Bad reviews from before were from old management but they have new management. Fast. Friendly. Fair. Moved to town about three years ago and gave these guys a try...Just for oil changes. Solid work, fair pricing, in and out, and a friendly atmosphere. Got to know the managers Thomas and Bart over the years, and they got to know me AND my cars. Fast forward... Ran into major electronic issues this week. Car malfunction out of nowhere. Had it towed to the shop because I knew these guys were straight and waiting nervously for the diagnosis. Probably called and asked to speak to Thomas personally five times in one single day. He took the time to talk to me and explain it all very courteously each time and had the decency upfront to tell me it could be expensive. Met Thomas the next morning at the shop completely unannounced. Probably on their busiest day of the week. I found my car very tenderly set on a lift. Clearly in good hands and clear evidence of the ongoing work in progress. Again Thomas took the time to instill in me the confidence that he could get it done, although it was not simple, and that it just took time. I walked away at peace. I went about my day. Thomas called me four hours later. Diagnosis had been made. My overall cost would be 20% of that original worst-case scenario. He even sounded happy for me! I drove it home that day!
