The coolant leak is from an auxiliary radiator. I drive a CTS-V, so its not your basic cooling system. They were honest with me and said they have never changed that system on a V and wouldn't feel comfortable doing so. They could have easily just winged it just to get my money. But, they were honest about it and didn't even charge me for diagnosing the issue since they couldn't work on it. Definitely taking my other cars here when they need something.

They are honest and, in my opinion, absolutely number one. They have always been more than fair in pricing, but even more than that, they have always been straightforward with my vehicles have never pressured me to do anything that I didn't feel was necessary. They've always been good to give me a plan for what might need attention down the road, but never tried to sell me on service I didn't need. Never once have I ever felt like I've been taken advantage of. That goes the same for my wife. I have a classic 1997 Ford F150 and about four years ago I got some brake-work done by another mechanic in town. When I got the vehicle back, the brakes were worse than before! After going back multiple times to make it right, I finally washed my hands and walked away. I went to TWO other recommended mechanics after that to tried to get the situation correctly diagnosed and resolved. Both places said nothing was wrong even after a test drive with me in the vehicle each time. I started to think that it was just the fact that my truck was older. But after going to honest-1 for other things like oil changes and some engine work, I told them about my brakes situation. They took a look and found the problem in no time. And in just a few hours, they had me back on the road and now my brakes work beautifully!! Smooth and controlled! Just like they're supposed to be. Anthony and the team at Honest-1 are phenomenal. I promise, yup thank me later.

Joe did a test drive for a few minutes and then check the transmission fluid to see if there was any metal glitter in it. Fortunately, the problem is minimum at the moment and if I follow Joe's advice I will be able to keep it running for a little while. Nevertheless, the transmission will have to be replaced sooner of later. I'm glad that he educated me about the quick temporary solutions that many of us go forth such as adding additives to the transmission fluid which ultimately end up making the rubber seals swelled to the point that they fail faster. Good I didn't add anything when they changed the transmission fluid last month as one technician I met before going with Joe suggested me to do. Thank you Joe for your honest advice.

EXCELLENT quality craftsmanship in repair! Once you meet Jay, you will never want to use another auto repair business. I have used them a total of three times in the last year; all for wrecks, once without going through insurance and twice with. They do not often deliver on time, but that is expected when they fully rely on others for parts. They communicate very well and for that I applauded them. A brief note to say, bring your patience when it comes to working with the Enterprise rental business on site (ugh)! But again, Elite Auto carries out their work well regardless!! While I am not a certified mechanic, I have replaced fan belts myself and am well aware that the cost and complexity of such a repair do not justify that price. To make matters worse, she was also quoted an exorbitant fee for the replacement of an air filter--an extremely simple task that typically takes no more than two minutes to complete. It's disheartening to see what appears to be a clear case of opportunistic overcharging, possibly based on the assumption that a woman wouldn't question the pricing. Shame on you. Actions like this erode trust and reflect poorly on your business. While karma has a way of addressing injustices in due time, the immediate consequence is that you have lost a long-standing customer--someone who had been loyal to your establishment for years.
