The ONLY place I will take my car to! I am a repeat customer of Auto Check and they ALWAYS take care of me and my car in the most professional, friendly, and affordable way possible. I recently took my car to another unnamed auto shop for an oil change; this auto shop being one my parents take their cars to for maintenance and I was in the area so it was convenient. Upon my car's return to me, the same day I began hearing a sloshing sound in my dashboard and observed water leaking onto the passenger side carpet from under the dash. I took my car back to the same shop (already regretting not taking it to Auto Check in the first place) and they told me my heating core needed to be replaced. I refused to believe that my car, which was running flawlessly, would suddenly need a new heating core after a routine oil change, and the shop didn't in the least TELL me about it when I picked my car up. I immediate took my car to Auto Check for a second opinion, and they were able to find out it was simply a clogged A/C pipe, and quickly and efficiently solved my problem. They deserve every star and some. They saved me over $180 because I had a nice size hole in my tire after getting off 45. I turned into the gas station next to auto check to put some air in it and it didn't work(that's when I noticed the hole). I was calling every tire place around to see if I could replace the tire( no one has ever fixed a hole in my tire they always make me buy a new tire). I walked over to auto check to see if I could have the number to a towing company to tow me to discount tire shop a few miles down the way, he asked what my problem was and I told him. He asked for me to bring my car over and he would take a look at my tire( I didn't know they took care of tires. Well he took great care of me and my tire he fixed the hole in my tire for $20 and offered water and candy while I was waiting in the nice and clean office. I'm not from around the area so it was great having this place help me rather than hustle me. The customer service and work ethic is phenomenal. I've been to this mechanic twice. The fact that I went back the second time, goes to tell that I was satisfied the first time. The first time I had them do a complete check of my car plus look at a problem with my suspension. As I had told them that I would only have the car for 4 months, they advised me against fixing the suspension problem as it wouldn't be worth it. They had the car for a few hours, and while they were working on it, I got a ride home and was later picked up again. This was all in the same day as I had called them. Second time, I had a problem with my sprinklers and wanted them to check on a few things before going on a trip across the country. They spent 30 minutes on my car and I wasn't charged anything - the owner just told me that they hoped I'd come back to them again in the future. That's good service. read more

I recently moved to Houston from Los Angeles and found myself in need of mechanical help from a Garage for my car that I am restoring, due to my age and current illness. My criteria for a garage to frequent or really any merchant to do business with is the following: they must be COMPETENT, HONEST, charge the FAIR MARKET VALUE, and treat me with at least PROFESSIONAL COURTESY. They really exceeded all my expectations. I no longer need to find a new garage. If you do not currently have a garage that meets these minimum standards I would strongly recommend that you give the Auto Check at College Station and FM 1960 West a chance to become your go to place for your automotive needs. I took my car to Auto Check for a tune up and oil change. It was a great experience. Alex and Matthew were very friendly, extremely helpful, and incredibly thoughtful. They offered to take me to lunch while working on my car. While waiting for my car, another customer came in. He was going to go across the street to rent a car. Matthew stopped him and explained that they have loaner cars but they were all out. He then told the customer he would give him a ride home and would then pick him up to come back for his car - but if by some chance his car was not ready today he would let the customer use his own truck so he could get to work the next day. I had come for service on May 4, 2016 which was recommended by another place I went to earlier in the day. Alex promised me that my car would be ready the same day, in which it was thankfully. I had to get my son from school as well but they were working on my car at the same time. Steve, the owner aka the bald, white guy (lol) offered to take me to get my son from school. We get back to the shop n my son asks what was wrong with my car. Steve took my son on the floor n showed him it was a spindle on a tire. My son is a fast learner n asked how it gets fixed. The owner is a wonderful man! I was having an issue with my Honda mini van and took it in. He did a through check on it and told me that a sensor was bad and that Honda had extended the warranty on the sensor due to it failing and that I could go to the dealership and get it fixed for free. I drove over to the dealership and the information giving to me was absolutely true!! My car was fixed and it didn't cost me anything to repair it. Not many "shops" operate that way. He could have just charged me for the repair and not told me about the extended warranty, and I wouldn't have known any difference. Best service I have ever received. I just moved to Texas from Louisiana and had an alignment issue with a GMC Denali 3500 lifted truck. I originally took it to the GMC dealership in Baytown where they couldn't align my truck properly and tried to jack me around and swindle me. I decided to try this shop on my way home from work. They jumped on my truck right away and actually worked past closing hours to fix it. Not only did they fix it, but the staff was really friendly and experienced. I went here today and they were wonderful. They did my state inspection and oil change. They also thoroughly checked my car and identified an issue that I have been having with my car for quite sometime, that at least 3 other shops were not able to figure out. I will soon be taking my car back to get the needed repair, but I highly recommend them. Matthew and Alex are GREAT!! I even heard them helping other customers and they were very attentive and patient, they explained things very well, and being a female I often feel like I am getting ripped off or not getting the same service a man would. This shop offers shuttle service and loaner car service. The prices are very fair and all of the staff here are very nice. They offer all repairs on all models of vehicles. I'm glad God led me here. I've taken my car here 4 or 5 times now and they have done an amazing job everytime. They are extremely nice and courteous. But, moreover, they seem to care about doing what is best for you and your car. They are straight forward and will tell you exactly what needs to be done and not pressure you into unnecessary work. This has been my 3rd experience with Auto Check 9, and they did their usual superior work on my car. This time, they had to replace the instrument panel, an $1100.00 repair, but they took the time check on my extended service contract and I ended up having to pay only the $100.00 deductable.Their customer service goes far beyond excellent, and we were on a first name basis from the beginning.
