Don't take your car there for any repair. He doesn't honor his 1 year warranty and parts. I have old Sienna that, making fan noise for last 2/3 years each time engine start for 20 seconds. So not much bother in driving. I finally have this check out. Was told that, blower need to replace. I paid $85 diagnose fees and I spend over $2,000 with tire sensor repair. Months later, fan making same noise from blower that replace, same 20 second loud noise. I took it for warranty repair, I was told that, different fan is making noise and not that one that cover by warranty. I knew that was complete BS. He doesn't want to repair and honor his warranty because he make no money, honoring warranty. He asked another $800+ $85 diagnose fees again to repair. No way for me to argued over the phone with this guy. Don't forgot he has your Car in his shop. He can seriously damage to your car. If you argued hard or strong on him(just like you don't want to screw with waiter in Restaurants) I did effectually argued that, when blower was replace, if other fan is bad, I should have advise to replace while replacing blower. But I knew, my argument is not going anywhere. So I paid another $85 diagnose fees that, I shouldn't pay and pickup my card. Why bother repairing with this auto shop, when he doesn't honor his warranty and his repair only lasted 2 months and you have to pay another $85 to address his warranty. This auto shop in our neighborhood is crap. This shop has no value and just ripping off his customer. Take it to another auto shop. read more

First off... I would like to acknowledge that there are a ton of places that tell you that you need something for your car, overcharge you... and you didn't really need it. It's incredibly difficult to find an honest mechanic. I looked up tons of Yelp reviews, and stumbled upon this decent shop. I initially came here, because the dealership recommended a ton of work that would cost about 3k....! I came here, spoke to Amos and requested a second opinion. He assured me that, a diagnostic check would be performed and then we would go from there. Come to find out, I am incredibly grateful I came for a second opinion. I got everything done that was needed and definitely did not cost 3k. Hard working folks here in this shop, personable, and trustworthy. A safe place to discuss your car needs, and fabulous place to get your second opinion. Make sure you check the times before you go, and call ahead of time and see how busy they are before bringing your vehicle in. This will give them adequate time to see when they can see you the best. Meaning if you need to bring your car in ASAP, you can call, and say... when is the best time to bring my car in for ___xyz___. If they're super busy, they'll let you know when they can accommodate you the best. So you can get your vehicle in and out In a timely manner. The ULTIMATE testimony to my trust and admiration of Tom's Auto Shop is this, I live in Willis but still bring my cars here for work. Oh YES sir and ma'am, I drive the 25miles, past several BIG NAME auto repair chains and oodles of Mom-N-Pop spots to see Tom instead. It started innocent, 10 years I was price matching for some under-the-hood work on a BMW, Tom charged 40% less than the first three estimates. The kicker, he didn't offer to match, advertise to match and I didn't bring it up. Same thing happened the next few years. It started being a game, I would refer Tom, brag he would charge less and BET someone. He always did and has. Why not 5-stars? Easy. Tom is a small operation running off honesty and referrals. I can't bring the ride on Friday and think it's back Saturday because Tom is closed on weekends and holidays. Tom is the most honest mechanic I have ever taken my cars for repair. He is very reasonably priced and quick turn around. Several of friends used places closer to their homes but when they took them to Tom, they decided, they will never go anywhere else. The absolute best! My father and I have entrusted Tom with our vehicles for 10+ years. I have a 1994 E150 van that Tom keeps in tip-top shape. Not only is it 24 yrs. old it also has electronic equipment installed along the dash and attached to my accelerator & brakes, as I am handicapped. I mention the equipment only because I know Tom has to dismantle the equipment in order to get to the engine for certain repairs and maintenance, yet, never mentions it or complains. I have had a variety of repairs and maintenance issues, all of which were taken care of amazingly fast and at very reasonable rates. Before I found Tom's Auto I had a quote, from a dealer in this area, that listed parts they said needed to be replaced on my van and a jaw-dropping price. I never did the work. Several years later I came across the quote, jotted down the parts and gave them to Tom to check out while he was servicing my van. Not only did I not need these parts replaced, when I picked up my van it was running like I imagine it ran when it drove off the showroom floor, and definitely better than it has run since I've been the owner!
