Great prices; items are affordable and tasty. Love the cleanliness of this place. There are lots of seating, great for groups. Servers are attentive and friendly. The chicken is made to order. It is not too breaded nor salty. I like to dip my chicken sandwich into their Honey Mustard sauce. Remember to ask for your sauce. I walked out once forgetting to ask and didn't have sauce. If you like chicken sandwiches, this place is worth a try.
Was curious about this branch since it's from China and this is their 2nd location. Was happened to be 15mins away and thought to give it a try. The location is in a big shopping plaza and has a big parking lot so easy parking. They're either remodeling or putting up new signs since outside are covered and being painting. Inside is new and clean and very spacious. Small menu and plenty of pictures to see what the foods look like. Ordered a bucket of wings for $20 and 3 chicken sandwiches for $10 (special offers at the moment). Prices are not bad at all, they do have special meal deal that is under $10. Staff are good, the wait is abit long but since I ordered, they start making it so...waited for 8mins for my orders and got it in a cool colorful bag. Smell great and if you eat it right away it's very juicy and tasty, the burger is good and same for the wings. It just not my cup of tea of their seasoning and favor but with their dipping sauces, it just not going together for me. Overall, it was okey, good sandwich (without the seasoning), good clean store and not bad pricing.
I'd pay $10 for 3 of these sandwiches any day! Sure beats a $10 Jesus chicken sando, if you know what I mean! I ordered online to pick up in store while at the gym. Once I walked into the store, I simply told them I had ordered online. They confirmed my order and packed it immediately, and I was on my way. Staff were very friendly. Store was clean and neat. Food was hot and delicious. My only complaint was that when you bite into the chicken, it kind of rips off however it wants, making my bun-to-chicken ratio off for most bites, but definitely worth a try!
Dined in for dinner around 9:30 pm. I ordered the chicken sandwich entrees with fries. It came out pretty quick even though there were a lot of orders at closing. Parking: plenty of parking in the lot Chicken Sandwich: 4/5, crispy, tasty and not too heavy. I liked the flavor of the chicken! Fries: 4/5, not bad. Had a good crunch and taste. Not soft at all
First of all, I regret not coming sooner. The chicken sandwiches are really delicious. The chicken seems to be marinated before batter and fry so it's flavorful and juicy. The bun was soft, and the tomato/lettuce/pickles were delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the sauce was not mayo, it's sweet and creamy. The nuggets were delicious. Would recommend getting it, it's juicy & much better than a McD's nugget these days. Fries were seasoned well. The value is very good for the quality. You can order with a worker or order at a kiosk. It looks like they also have a rewards program.
I saw the 3 for 10 and I had to check it out. The chicken was season perfectly and fried just right. I had the 3 for 10 sandwiches, and nuggets. Nuggets were legit. Nice and juicy and tasty with or without sauce. Back to the sandwich. Love the pickle in the sandwich. Wish I got more sauces only got ranch and the Wawa sauce.
I've been here a few times now. My husband and I usually get the tempura chicken nuggets for family get-togethers because they love them! On the recent visit, I tried their Grilled Chicken Rice Plate. I got the meal for $10.99. The chicken was so tender and flavorful! The coleslaw was fresh and crisp. There was more dressing than I liked, but I still enjoyed it. The rice was soft and cooked perfectly. This was filling, I would definitely order this plate again. The service is always great and the staff is so friendly. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seats. There are tables for smaller groups and there are also long tables to seat larger groups or for shared seating. Wallace does not disappoint especially because they're so affordable. You can't beat their prices anywhere, that's why this place is so popular. Great job, Wallace Chicken! We will be back soon!
I came here today for an early dinner, ordered on chowbus so i could pick up. I chose the 3 chicken sandwiches for $10 and some french fries, total came out to $13 and some change. I do agree with the reviews that the chicken can be a bit chewy and stringy but im not mad about it considering the price. The fries were seasoned and fried nicely. I see myself coming back go try the deluxe or spicy sandwich. Overall id recommend this place for its value.
Been meaning to come since they first opened and finally had the chance to come try! We got the original chicken wings bucket, the waffle fries, a waffle, and a drink. The chicken wings are delicious they use dark meat which is moist and has a thin lightly fried layer. The waffle fries are also crispy and tasty. The waffle is on the thicker end but still love the sugar they add in it which gives a good sweetness to go with your savory chicken. I don't feel overly greasy or full even after eating all of it! My only recommendation would be to add a thin paper on the trays as it does tend to be a little messy, but that's just preference! But everything was super tasty, and I am definitely going to come back and get more chicken for my fried chicken cravings!
When we were passing through Walnut, we needed a place for a quick lunch and stopped here. My husband remembered that Wallace was Instagram-famous at some point so that was the primary selling point. They have a 3 for $10 deal where you can buy 3 original chicken sandwiches for $10. This is a notch cheaper than Popeyes or KFC and a good amount cheaper than Chik Fil A. We ordered 3 to dine-in as well as a bucket of original chicken wings, and several orders of fries. For fast food, the food wasn't particularly fast, which I mean as a compliment. It took about 5-10 minutes for everything to be freshly prepared, and to their credit, the chicken wings came out scorching hot from the fryer. Honestly, everything was good. The chicken sandwiches are made with chicken thighs (moisture!), had mayo and pickles on a bun. The fries had that fast food breading and were tasty. The wings had a crisp breading and were all perfectly fried. The only thing we didn't know to try are their chicken nuggets and their famous Wa Sauce, which costs $.39/container. We liked their sandwiches and their value enough to order another 3 for the road. They are now sitting in our fridge for when we get the munchies. If a Wallace existed closer to home, we would certainly visit often.
The best chicken spot in the area, and it's located right next to a gym- perfect pre/post workout meal! Wallace is located in a busy shopping center and sometimes it's hard to find a parking space but it is definitely worth it. The menu is really straightforward, lots of nice options for sides, all yummy, but my favorites are the green beans!! Staff is always super friendly, they answer any questions you may have and are quick with taking orders. At times it's a bit of a wait to receive your food but to receive fresh foods is better than lamp heated chicken. They have plenty of seating inside although I've noticed most folks take it to go. I recommend trying next time you're in the area & you're craving fried chicken!
It's been an over a year since they opened and they still offer one of the best deals in town with their 3 chicken sandwiches for $10! These are great chicken sandwiches. Made to order so you have to wait a little bit, but it's not long and it's worth it. Chicken is crispy, moist, and flavorful. They use buns that are super soft and taste good. I'm not a pickle fan, but they use bread & butter pickles in their sandwiches and it truly adds to the flavor. Also got their chicken wings this time. Good size wings, crispy, and spicy! They definitely truly have a kick. So glad they're in my neighborhood. Staff is always friendly and courteous.
I love their good deal 3 chicken sandwiches for only $10 + tax. We always brought 2 boxes came out to be $21.95. Extremely delicious and the meat is so tender. TLDR: It's another chicken sandwich spot that tries to do something different. You'll have a good amount of options in terms of food and I think it's worth a try. Chicken Sandwich: If chick fil a is the gold standard then this is an emerald. Wallace's chicken sandwich wants diners to enjoy the food but they threw a curveball that I didn't expect. The large pickle slices were definitely one of the decisions I didn't expect them to commit to, but the taste wasn't ruined. The chicken fillet itself had a sweet undertone that I've never had before, and the brioche bun was standard for most chicken sandwich establishments. I did notice that the chicken fillet was a bit difficult to bite through, which was a shame. Tempura Chicken Nuggets: I don't usually order nuggets, nor will people catch me ordering nuggets as long as there are more..... "adult" options. However, this place will be my constant exception. I'm not sure how different their batter is from a normal nugget batter, but I really enjoyed it. It's the right amount of saltiness and very easy to eat. $5 for a 12-piece feels worth it. Service: I was the only one there for a to-go order. Things were pretty straightforward. Ambiance: It's your normal chicken shop spot. There's a decent amount of chairs and tables for diners, but I think this is more of a to-go spot. read more
I tried the chicken sandwiches and nuggets at Wallace Chicken. My experience was good. I don't live nearby but next time I'm in the area, I'll return if I'm craving chicken. Food quality is good and it's priced fairly. The inside of the restaurant if very simple with mainly counter seating. FOOD Chicken Sandwich - good overall. The bun, chicken quality and taste were all good. Nuggets - these aren't your typical fast food chicken nuggets. There is so much value in their meals and they're delicious. Service is alright. There's nothing to note! It was as expected so I have nothing bad to say about it but there was also nothing extraordinary either. The open window seeing inside the kitchen was nice. We got to see our food being made and how clean everything was The food was great for the cost. There's so much value and pretty good quality in my opinion. Walnut has a tendency of springing up chicken spots only to disappear without warning. Well, Wallace has sprung and I'm hoping it'll last. First off, the prices here are insane. Gourmet chicken sandwiches for 5 bucks? Unheard of in this economy. I think this might have something to do with their use of white and dark meat. Pure speculation. In any case, it keeps the prices low and chicken moist. Their nugget denominations are a little weird, so I did what any greedy person would do and ordered a bucket of 45 nuggets for $17.99. These were very solid nuggets. The size, shape, and taste gives McDonald's nuggies. I wouldn't say it's a good value, however, a bucket of nuggets is never not fun. I also ordered a grilled chicken sandwich ($5.49) which was actually so delicious. The chicken patty (that combo of white and dark) was very moist. There was a hint of sweetness in the sauce giving it Asian vibes. Delish. I suggest ordering this if you're looking for health. Wallace is a solid chicken spot if you're looking for one. read more

I was craving chicken wings and I didn't want them o pay too much for it. I heard a new Wallace Chicken opened up in West Covina, a couple of blocks from my house and I think it used to be the KFC place. I didn't go there because I read so much negative reviews about it, serving raw chicken isn't one of my thing lol so this is the other location that I decided to go to, it isn't far from me either so here I am haha. Is in a big plaza with bunch of shops behind the gas station on the corner of Nogales and Amar, you can't miss it. The restaurant is kinda in the back corner, way in the back lol. So I ordered 2 orders of the 3 chicken sandwiches for $10, and a bucket of chicken wings, the price went up $1, I thought it was $18.99, but is $19.99. Is still good compared to the other restaurants that sell 6 pieces for $12-$18. I got the original ones, my older parents can't eat spicy food. The chicken sandwich was good but a little dry, maybe a little more mayo and heat up the buns a little would be better. It seems like they got the buns right out of the plastic bags. The chicken patty was almost cold when I got home in 10 minutes. The chicken wings was pretty good, it was still hot in temperature and is crunchy. It has a little flavor. I didn't get no sauce because I thought they would at least give 1-2 sauce for the amount of chicken that I got, but no. Is ok, we got ranch dressing at home, you know the saying; Everything goes with Ranch ! lol overall, it was pretty good, but I waited over 20 minutes for my order, I think is because of the wings, the nice cashier lady apologized for the long wait and gave me a couple of a free sandwich for the next time I come back. That was nice of her, does that included all sandwiches or just the most inexpensive ones ? Great restaurant: - They offer cheap combo deals and self-serve ketchup & pepperoncinis like In-N-Out - Protein and low fat options for macro-conscious customers - Open kitchen with spacious interior seating - Functional packaging and appetizing brand design - Signature sauce that tastes similar to Chick-fil-a's sauce but with more cajun flavors (addicting flavor and pairs perfect with chicken) - Quick Service Great Chicken Sandwich: - Extra crispy and seasoned fries that remind me of Popeyes' fries - Shredded iceberg lettuce and sweet mayo recipe from McChicken - Sweet Pickles - Buttered and pillowy buns - Popcorn chicken seasoned batter - Dark meat chicken for flavor and fat All these great aspects of Wallace do not come at a cost. During my one visit, I noticed some shortfalls. I noticed the buns were not toasted and the chicken texture was a bit stringy. This is likely due to the chicken patty being prepared beforehand and simply reheated/refried when ordered. These drawbacks may be necessary for quick service of fast food but if these were fixed, Wallace would be the best fast food chain I have ever reviewed. Do not get the spicy chicken tenders. They are not worth it for the price point because the amount of meat on each one is very minimal. However, the spicy deluxe chicken sandwich is much more worth it. The chicken is juicy AND huge. It's only $5 but if you want the combo with fries and a drink it'll be $10. The fries are pretty good too. There's a lot of indoor seating and the food took a little while to come out but they gave us some Wasauce on the house for the wait which was kind of them. read more

Omg! I can't believe I haven't written a review for here. I've been here 3 times now & its probably one of my favorite chicken places now. The chicken nuggets are my favorite & the fries are so good. I also like the regular chicken sandwich as well. The meats here are all dark meat so its pretty juicy and flavorful. The signature sauce is one of the best sauces ever. Reminds me so much of a mixture of the chickfila sauce & the honey roasted bbq from chickfila. Service has always been great, tons of parking. Heard of this place from a Yelp event, so decided to check them out. There are plenty of parking spaces here. No problem finding parking. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by the friendly staff. I was very impressed with the dining area. Very clean and bright. Feels like you are in a boba shop and not a chicken sandwiches place. Ordering was simple. They have several meal combos. They have some chicken buckets, and side items. This is my first time here, so decided to order combo #1, which came with a basic chicken sandwich, fries, and a fountain drink. Got the food fairly quickly. Drink was refreshing. Fries was crunchy and delicious. The sandwich was not too bad. Their chicken sandwiches are made from dark meats. And they are very proud of it. LoL. If dark meats are your thing, this is the place for you. I say the food was a 4/5 stars. I gave them a 5 stars for their prices. Wallace Chicken was a solid lunch option for me when I was in the Walnut area. The location is nicely decorated with all their logos, bags, and buckets on the wall. There's plenty of seating her from high top tables, bar counter seating and regular tables. The service here was prompt and staff was very engaging and kind. The main draw for me was the very affordable menu prices. The combos range right around $10 with fries and a drink. You really can't beat that price point. I also they have a 3 for $10 deal on the regular Chicken Sandwiches. I went with the combo #6 which is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo + a side of WaSauce (.39c) I like spicy so I wanted to see how it would be. It has the right amount spice and has that kick of spice that makes its solid chicken sandwich. It's enough to break a small sweat from the spice. Lol. Combined with their WaSauce the Chicken Sandwich was sound. Overall, The meal was worth the every dollar. Wallace Chicken is great for those looking for an affordable quick bite for lunch. Went to Wallace for lunch. I was very pleased with the restaurant. The facility was very clean supporting their LA County health department Grade A rating. I was greeted with a friendly welcome as were all the other guests. in the store, there are 2 ways to place your order:you can use the kiosk located to the right of the door upon entering or you can speak with a human. The sandwich was tasty with the spicy sauce, fries were crispy and hot while the self-serve beverages were cold. There is a status tote board to the left of the cash register where you can track your order. read more

Recognize new place and decide to try their chicken sandwich. It's pretty good deal for $10 and got 3 chicken sandwiches. The bun is buttery and the chicken is juicy. I come during the lunch time for take out. It's crowded and takes about 20 minutes to get my food ready. The staff is nice and the restaurant is clean. The vending machine is available on side and it has good options of drink. Will come back to try their other menu for sure!! read more

I first found out about this place from The Taste of Walnut event, and I was so surprised that they were located next to the 24hr fitness where XLB used to be. The chicken nuggets were so good at the event that I had to go and visit the location today! They have a special where it's 3 chicken sandwiches for 10! I also ordered, 12pc chicken nuggets, fried green beans and the fried chicken wrap. Next time though I'll probably order the 45pc chicken nugget bucket cuz it's sooo good! Super super affordable, but it doesn't change the high quality taste. I will also order the special sauce that has a small cost but worth it. The cashier (Zoe) I believe, was the same person I met at the Taste of Walnut event. Came by to give this place a try after hearing some good comments from family and friends. I decided to come on a Wednesday night and ended up getting the $10 for three chicken sandwiches. It is the original chicken sandwiches for all of them, and they came out pretty quickly. While it was quite busy, I did not wait that long and got to watch my sandwiches be made fresh. Overall pretty tasty and super juicy. Also the price is a super reasonable definitely worth the try. Can't wait to try other things on their menu next time. read more

So heres a real review from this customer with no relations to anyone for this restaurant. Wallace Chicken is a Chinese chicken sandwich shop so the standards and flavors are way different than say a Popeyes KFC Jolibee Chow King Legend Hot Chicken etc. They use dark chicken meat for their sandwiches so they are already tender and fatty. The texture might be off putting if your standard for chicken sandwiches is primarily chicken breast which has give and feels substantial. I had some people asking me if the chicken was cooked all the way through but I clarified it was just dark meat they probably marinated. The breading is pretty light so eating right away is priority it wont travel well with all that moisture. The fries and green beans were okay not very crispy they didnt taste any different than frozen products from the store...the tiny boxes are cute. We also ordered chicken nuggets which were decent but not better or equal to McDonalds like some mentioned. The only similarity is that they are battered which you can also find at any grocery store. My nuggets dont taste fresh they were a little crispy but also dry and stale in some parts. This was my individual experience and you should try it if you are curious. However, as someone that frequents many chicken shops...Im probably not going to be a returning customer. read more

Been consistently craving Wallace Chicken since I was first introduced to this place! They are known for using dark meat and for their affordable prices. You can get one fried chicken sandwich for less than $5 and they have a deal where you can get 3 chicken sandwiches for $10! Their chicken is juicy and tender, and while you are there, you can see how they meticulously prepare the chicken. They fry each chicken super well and it's not too greasy or oily either. I've heard from my coworkers their fries are delicious so next time I visit, I want to try that! The tempura chicken nuggets weren't anything too special for me so I'd pass on that. Would definitely recommend this place to others to visit if craving solid and affordable chicken sandwiches. read more

Heard about this place from a friend, the chicken sandwiches are made Pinoy style. It was good I'm used to the different breading used for the chicken. The place was near, retro, seems like I was in an all American burger joint, cool vibes. The order took between 5 and 10 mins so it was pretty quick! And the person at the counter was nice. read more

Came for dinner with my family and ordered/got our food pretty quick. People kept coming in too, so we knew this spot would be good. My husband got the spicy deluxe, my parents and I got the regular deluxe, kids got the nuggets, and we shared a bucket of waffle. Everything was so good! Nuggets tasted kind of like McDonald's nuggets, but better. The waffle fries were amazing, it was so crunchy. I wish I got the sharp cheddar dip, because it would be so good to dip with the waffle fries. I would def come back and try the spicy wings next time. read more

Great establishment! I came in to try their chicken sandwich, and was surprised to see that they have other items as well. I also ordered the 2 piece spicy wings and fries and was not disappointed. The chicken in the sandwich was just as crispy as the chicken wings and everything was made as is, no frills. The sandwich had a sweet and tangy taste, and the fries were crispy. I love the music too - very 2000s. And the service was good. There was a customer behind me trying to rush to buy condiments and the cashier made sure to let the person know they he would be with the customer shortly. Overall, good place. I was in the area and have been wanting to try this place. I got meal 2 ($10.72) which is a deluxe fried chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese, sweet pickles, a thick tomato slice, lettuce with mayo. It comes with a side of fries and a drink. The wait time was not long and the place is clean and bright. The chicken was still very hot; it was juicy and cooked thoroughly. The batter was not thick and the chicken portion was a good size. The french fries were seasoned and crispy. It would be a good burger to eat in the restaurant, it seems to get soggy if you wait. The staff is nice and they have a good parking lot size. Located next to 24 Hour Fitness. read more

Tried this for the first time on a friday afternoon. It was pretty busy but there was planting of seating to wait. If you can order ahead I recommend doing that. It took almost 30 mins to get our nuggets, sandwich and fries. The nuggets and fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. The chicken sandwich was good, the bun was just a bit smashed and though the presentation wasn't great, the flavor was. The employees are very kind and apologized for the delay. This is a new chicken fast food place that I have been wanting to try. Finally took the opportunity to go on my lunch break. I ordered 2 chicken wraps -one grilled and one crispy and some tempura green beans. I wanted to try the house sauce with the green beans and yeah, good duo. I am not sure why I ordered 2 wraps as one wrap did the job! I was so full and couldn't get to the second wrap! I went for the crispy wrap first and I loved it! The chicken was flavorful and the wrap included sauce and lettuce as well. Wallace did not hold out on the size as some places can do that. The prices are pretty fair and I feel I got good food for what I paid for. This place is new and clean and the staff here are very friendly. read more

So I use to come here for years when it was XLB dumpling and introduced it to my co-workers. Some of the best Dan Dan Noodles ever! But on to the new. The restaurant got an utter face-lift. Same owners, but different vibe. It is now a delicious, affordable chicken spot. They finally reopened and my co workers and I all went as a group and enjoyed our experience. They updated the seating area. There are more total seats, with bar seating in the middle and some table/chair seating for groups. There is updated burger/chicken decor and they were putting up Chinese New Year decor as a seasonal touch. Our first impression with the menu was literally the price. I was just commenting on how I could spend $25-30 (for 2 ppl) at a fast food place for the same ole fast food. The Meal #1 with tax is under $10. Their Grand Opening special of 3 for $10 chicken sandwiches are a steal! And 45 piece chicken nuggets for $18! Meal #1 Chicken sandwich, fries and a drink Their drink vendor is pepsi, so I got a dr. pepper. Fries are great. I like the light crunch on the outside, fries were a good size and seasoned well. Chicken sandwich. The sandwich itself reminds me of the KFC chicken littles from back in the day, but for adults. It has a dark meat fried chicken piece, mayo and a pickle. There was a lot of mayo, but me and my co worker like it that way. I normally don't like pickles in my sandwiches or burgers, but this pickle complimented the whole sandwich. I realized that it's actually a sweeter pickle. Delicious! I feel like these are house-made, need to ask next time. The meal itself was a perfect size and I had extra fries... didn't want to waste them but I was so full! We are definitely going back and taking advantage of the 3 sandwich special before it goes away. So worth it. Also want to try the other sides. read more

honestly one of the juiciest chicken sandwiches i've had in awhile. crispy on the outside and very tender inside. the chicken itself is so flavorful that i don't even feel like i need a sauce or anything to go with it. it's good as is! with the price point and what you get, this is totally worth trying. looks like i've found a new go-to for chicken sandwiches! read more

The ambiance was nice upon entry with a modern and open concept. The service was good as I was greeted upon entry. I didn't like that no one was cleaning tables or making sure that the establishment was clean. I had to ask to have my table cleaned and the soda fountain area was dirty. The food was mediocre. Unfortunately, not worth the 40 min drive. The chicken sandwich's were all thigh meat and it was rubbery. The chicken nuggets were the best part of the meal. The regular fries and waffle fries were very greasy. The ranch I do not recommend as it did not taste good. The bbq sauce and Caribbean sauces were good. read more
