Hands down one of the best bang for your buck, and good quality chicken places. I've been to Wallace many times, and it is definitely the hype. The service here is friendly, and the place is always clean. My favorite items here are the grilled chicken items since I like to eat a bit healthier compared to fried foods.
We were visiting my cousin, and she recommended this place for lunch, especially for the kids. We came and ordered food to-go: Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, Tempura Chicken Nuggets, Spicy Wing Bucket, and Fry Bucket. I really enjoyed the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Good flavor and seasoning, chicken patty was a good size, and was very moist and juicy. Everyone enjoyed the food; no complaints from the kids. I just would have preferred the fries to be crispier.
When we were passing through Walnut, we needed a place for a quick lunch and stopped here. My husband remembered that Wallace was Instagram-famous at some point so that was the primary selling point. They have a 3 for $10 deal where you can buy 3 original chicken sandwiches for $10. This is a notch cheaper than Popeyes or KFC and a good amount cheaper than Chik Fil A. We ordered 3 to dine-in as well as a bucket of original chicken wings, and several orders of fries. For fast food, the food wasn't particularly fast, which I mean as a compliment. It took about 5-10 minutes for everything to be freshly prepared, and to their credit, the chicken wings came out scorching hot from the fryer. Honestly, everything was good. The chicken sandwiches are made with chicken thighs (moisture!), had mayo and pickles on a bun. The fries had that fast food breading and were tasty. The wings had a crisp breading and were all perfectly fried. The only thing we didn't know to try are their chicken nuggets and their famous Wa Sauce, which costs $.39/container. We liked their sandwiches and their value enough to order another 3 for the road. They are now sitting in our fridge for when we get the munchies. If a Wallace existed closer to home, we would certainly visit often.
The best chicken spot in the area, and it's located right next to a gym- perfect pre/post workout meal! Wallace is located in a busy shopping center and sometimes it's hard to find a parking space but it is definitely worth it. The menu is really straightforward, lots of nice options for sides, all yummy, but my favorites are the green beans!! Staff is always super friendly, they answer any questions you may have and are quick with taking orders. At times it's a bit of a wait to receive your food but to receive fresh foods is better than lamp heated chicken. They have plenty of seating inside although I've noticed most folks take it to go. I recommend trying next time you're in the area & you're craving fried chicken!
It's been an over a year since they opened and they still offer one of the best deals in town with their 3 chicken sandwiches for $10! These are great chicken sandwiches. Made to order so you have to wait a little bit, but it's not long and it's worth it. Chicken is crispy, moist, and flavorful. They use buns that are super soft and taste good. I'm not a pickle fan, but they use bread & butter pickles in their sandwiches and it truly adds to the flavor. Also got their chicken wings this time. Good size wings, crispy, and spicy! They definitely truly have a kick. So glad they're in my neighborhood. Staff is always friendly and courteous.
They sell Dark meat and it's soooo goood. My bf and I tried it after the gym and we were definitely satisfied, With the flavor and price. It's very clean inside and plenty of seating. We ordered the chicken rice bowl and the grilled chicken sandwich. And the Caribbean sauce, mustard and Nashville ? I believe. All were delicious but I think Nashville was my favorite. I also like how they offer protein milkshakes. (They're located next door to the gym) Customer service is decent. Nice, young, quiet people making the food and running the register. Can't wait for the Glendora Ave location to open!

Found this place through social media and made a trek all the way from San Diego. They specialize in chicken so their chicken was definitely delicious! We went specifically for the chicken nuggets. In my opinion it was pretty good deal for 45 pieces for $19! You get a whole bucket of chicken nuggets! They were piping hot when they came out. We also ordered their 3 for $10 chicken sandwiches which is also another steal! The chicken patties were huge. I didn't get to try it but if the nuggets were a hit then I can only imagine the juicy chicken patties. I wonder if they have any spicy options I don't think I saw that on the menu. They have your usual condiment sauces that come with the nuggets or also different sauces available for purchase. Upon leaving I noticed they also had a station that had pepperoncinis too! How cool. Their kitchen is open and you can see through the glass them making your meal. If it weren't so far away I'd probably make a visit every other week.
This was my first time here at this location. Ordered: 15 pieces of Spicy Wing Bucket - with BBQ and Honey Mustard dipping sauce. 12 pieces of Tempura Chicken Nuggets My friend ordered bucket of Tempura Chicken Nuggets, fries and drink. My other friend ordered chicken sandwich combo and wrap. The spicy wings were cooked to perfection and loved every bite of it. The nuggets were amazing and better than fast food nuggets. Overall, it was affordable and delicious. The service was great and welcoming Friendly service. Ambiance is nice. Strongly recommended.
Went to Wallace for lunch. I was very pleased with the restaurant. The facility was very clean supporting their LA County health department Grade A rating. I was greeted with a friendly welcome as were all the other guests. in the store, there are 2 ways to place your order:you can use the kiosk located to the right of the door upon entering or you can speak with a human. The sandwich was tasty with the spicy sauce, fries were crispy and hot while the self-serve beverages were cold. There is a status tote board to the left of the cash register where you can track your order.
Unironically, actually my favorite fried chicken place ever. They had an opening deal for 3 sandwiches for $10 - and each of the sandwiches were full sized chicken sandwiches, the types that usually cost over $10 just for each one. So the quantity is amazing. Food comes out fairly fast, but that should be expected with a limited menu (ie, they're just cranking these bad boys out on an assembly line like the 626 does with guys with tapered fadecuts and gross sneakers). Anyways, the big thing about this place is that they primarily use juicy, moist dark meat for their chicken. You can tell, because sometimes you see angry reviews on the internet about people genuinely confused and distraught that their chicken has a "weird texture", because they've been used to eating dry white meat chicken their entire life (many such cases in America). This one special trick - normies hate it! - pretty much ensures that Wallace Chicken gets to clown on basically almost all domestic fried chicken sandwich places. Not to mention that the vegetables come out nice in the sandwich (nothing too soggy) and the sauce is creamy but not overly decadent (I'm looking at you Raisin Canes). I haven't tried the fries but that's because the chicken sandwich deal is too good. Anyways, this place comes highly recommended as perhaps my favorite chicken sandwich place yet. Parking is easy and the place is nice and well-lit, with a nice soda fountain machine too. The way fast food ought to be (but often isn't anymore).
Newish restaurant that moved into the old XLB Dumpling Bar location. The interior layout didn't change, but the cuisine did. Plenty of standard and bar height table seating. No outdoor seating available. I stopped in for lunch yesterday and got the Meal #6: Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo ($9.79) including fries and a soda. I also tried the 12-piece Tempura Chicken Nuggets ($4.99). The service was friendly with only a short wait for my food (there were about 6 orders ahead of mine). The nuggets and fries were tasty, as was the chicken sandwich, but the chicken on the sandwich had "strings/strands" when I took a bite. It was unusual and not sure exactly what it was (the coating maybe), but it didn't detract from the taste. I just haven't come across that before. Overall, I thought that everything was good, and I'd definitely stop in again.

Omg! I can't believe I haven't written a review for here. I've been here 3 times now & its probably one of my favorite chicken places now. The chicken nuggets are my favorite & the fries are so good. I also like the regular chicken sandwich as well. The meats here are all dark meat so its pretty juicy and flavorful. The signature sauce is one of the best sauces ever. Reminds me so much of a mixture of the chickfila sauce & the honey roasted bbq from chickfila. Service has always been great, tons of parking. I literally just went last night for dinner. they have this 3 for $10 deal thats insane because its 3 big sandwiches, not sliders. read more

Heard of this place from a Yelp event, so decided to check them out. There are plenty of parking spaces here. No problem finding parking. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by the friendly staff. I was very impressed with the dining area. Very clean and bright. Feels like you are in a boba shop and not a chicken sandwiches place. Ordering was simple. They have several meal combos. They have some chicken buckets, and side items. This is my first time here, so decided to order combo #1, which came with a basic chicken sandwich, fries, and a fountain drink. Got the food fairly quickly. Drink was refreshing. Fries was crunchy and delicious. The sandwich was not too bad. Their chicken sandwiches are made from dark meats. And they are very proud of it. LoL. If dark meats are your thing, this is the place for you. I say the food was a 4/5 stars. I gave them a 5 stars for their prices. Compares to other chicken sandwiches places, the prices here are hard to beat. I might come back to try their chicken buckets. read more

Wallace Chicken was a solid lunch option for me when I was in the Walnut area. The location is nicely decorated with all their logos, bags, and buckets on the wall. There's plenty of seating her from high top tables, bar counter seating and regular tables. The service here was prompt and staff was very engaging and kind. The main draw for me was the very affordable menu prices. The combos range right around $10 with fries and a drink. You really can't beat that price point. I also they have a 3 for $10 deal on the regular Chicken Sandwiches. I went with the combo #6 which is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo + a side of WaSauce (.39c) I like spicy so I wanted to see how it would be. It has the right amount spice and has that kick of spice that makes its solid chicken sandwich. It's enough to break a small sweat from the spice. Lol. Combined with their WaSauce the Chicken Sandwich was sound. Overall, The meal was worth the every dollar. Wallace Chicken is great for those looking for an affordable quick bite for lunch. Recognize new place and decide to try their chicken sandwich. It's pretty good deal for $10 and got 3 chicken sandwiches. The bun is buttery and the chicken is juicy. I come during the lunch time for take out. It's crowded and takes about 20 minutes to get my food ready. The staff is nice and the restaurant is clean. The vending machine is available on side and it has good options of drink. Will come back to try their other menu for sure!! read more

I first found out about this place from The Taste of Walnut event, and I was so surprised that they were located next to the 24hr fitness where XLB used to be. The chicken nuggets were so good at the event that I had to go and visit the location today! They have a special where it's 3 chicken sandwiches for 10! I also ordered, 12pc chicken nuggets, fried green beans and the fried chicken wrap. Next time though I'll probably order the 45pc chicken nugget bucket cuz it's sooo good! Super super affordable, but it doesn't change the high quality taste. I will also order the special sauce that has a small cost but worth it. The cashier (Zoe) I believe, was the same person I met at the Taste of Walnut event. Came by to give this place a try after hearing some good comments from family and friends. I decided to come on a Wednesday night and ended up getting the $10 for three chicken sandwiches. It is the original chicken sandwiches for all of them, and they came out pretty quickly. While it was quite busy, I did not wait that long and got to watch my sandwiches be made fresh. So heres a real review from this customer with no relations to anyone for this restaurant. Wallace Chicken is a Chinese chicken sandwich shop so the standards and flavors are way different than say a Popeyes KFC Jolibee Chow King Legend Hot Chicken etc. They use dark chicken meat for their sandwiches so they are already tender and fatty. The texture might be off putting if your standard for chicken sandwiches is primarily chicken breast which has give and feels substantial. I had some people asking me if the chicken was cooked all the way through but I clarified it was just dark meat they probably marinated. The breading is pretty light so eating right away is priority it wont travel well with all that moisture. The fries and green beans were okay not very crispy they didnt taste any different than frozen products from the store...the tiny boxes are cute. We also ordered chicken nuggets which were decent but not better or equal to McDonalds like some mentioned. The only similarity is that they are battered which you can also find at any grocery store. My nuggets dont taste fresh they were a little crispy but also dry and stale in some parts. This was my individual experience and you should try it if you are curious. However, as someone that frequents many chicken shops...Im probably not going to be a returning customer. read more

Been consistently craving Wallace Chicken since I was first introduced to this place! They are known for using dark meat and for their affordable prices. You can get one fried chicken sandwich for less than $5 and they have a deal where you can get 3 chicken sandwiches for $10! Their chicken is juicy and tender, and while you are there, you can see how they meticulously prepare the chicken. They fry each chicken super well and it's not too greasy or oily either. I've heard from my coworkers their fries are delicious so next time I visit, I want to try that! The tempura chicken nuggets weren't anything too special for me so I'd pass on that. Would definitely recommend this place to others to visit if craving solid and affordable chicken sandwiches. read more

So I wanted to try the chicken sandwich. I believe the slogan is The Everyday Chicken Sandwich. So I bought their signature Chicken Sandwich. I enjoyed the pickles and the spread. They were both sweet and gave the sandwich a nice compliment to the bread and chicken. The breading on the chicken was just ok. No real spices or flavor added to it. Overall it was not bad, especially with the sauce and pickles. However, the thing that I noticed that I didn't like was the stringiness of the chicken. The meat of the chicken was so stringy that I almost thought they added some sort of noodles in the sandwich. Stringy chicken can be caused by many factors, none the reasons for the stringiness are good reasons. Just google it. It's a shame considering that the chicken is the star of the show. Came for dinner with my family and ordered/got our food pretty quick. People kept coming in too, so we knew this spot would be good. My husband got the spicy deluxe, my parents and I got the regular deluxe, kids got the nuggets, and we shared a bucket of waffle. Everything was so good! Nuggets tasted kind of like McDonald's nuggets, but better. The waffle fries were amazing, it was so crunchy. I wish I got the sharp cheddar dip, because it would be so good to dip with the waffle fries. I would def come back and try the spicy wings next time. read more

Great establishment! I came in to try their chicken sandwich, and was surprised to see that they have other items as well. I also ordered the 2 piece spicy wings and fries and was not disappointed. The chicken in the sandwich was just as crispy as the chicken wings and everything was made as is, no frills. The sandwich had a sweet and tangy taste, and the fries were crispy. I love the music too - very 2000s. And the service was good. There was a customer behind me trying to rush to buy condiments and the cashier made sure to let the person know they he would be with the customer shortly. Overall, good place. Picked up some Wallace on my way to Coachella. To my surprise, even after a 3-hour drive, the chicken was still incredibly juicy and flavorful. Usually, fried chicken gets dry or soggy after that long, but this held up perfectly. If you're looking for a road trip meal that actually stays good, this is it! read more

I was in the area and have been wanting to try this place. I got meal 2 ($10.72) which is a deluxe fried chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese, sweet pickles, a thick tomato slice, lettuce with mayo. It comes with a side of fries and a drink. The wait time was not long and the place is clean and bright. The chicken was still very hot; it was juicy and cooked thoroughly. The batter was not thick and the chicken portion was a good size. The french fries were seasoned and crispy. It would be a good burger to eat in the restaurant, it seems to get soggy if you wait. The staff is nice and they have a good parking lot size. Located next to 24 Hour Fitness. read more

This is a new chicken fast food place that I have been wanting to try. Finally took the opportunity to go on my lunch break. I ordered 2 chicken wraps -one grilled and one crispy and some tempura green beans. I wanted to try the house sauce with the green beans and yeah, good duo. I am not sure why I ordered 2 wraps as one wrap did the job! I was so full and couldn't get to the second wrap! I went for the crispy wrap first and I loved it! The chicken was flavorful and the wrap included sauce and lettuce as well. Wallace did not hold out on the size as some places can do that. The prices are pretty fair and I feel I got good food for what I paid for. This place is new and clean and the staff here are very friendly. read more

Tried this for the first time on a friday afternoon. It was pretty busy but there was planting of seating to wait. If you can order ahead I recommend doing that. It took almost 30 mins to get our nuggets, sandwich and fries. The nuggets and fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. The chicken sandwich was good, the bun was just a bit smashed and though the presentation wasn't great, the flavor was. The employees are very kind and apologized for the delay. Im not sure what sauce we were given (almost like a Sriracha honey mustard) but it was bomb. read more
So I use to come here for years when it was XLB dumpling and introduced it to my co-workers. Some of the best Dan Dan Noodles ever! But on to the new. The restaurant got an utter face-lift. Same owners, but different vibe. It is now a delicious, affordable chicken spot. They finally reopened and my co workers and I all went as a group and enjoyed our experience. They updated the seating area. There are more total seats, with bar seating in the middle and some table/chair seating for groups. There is updated burger/chicken decor and they were putting up Chinese New Year decor as a seasonal touch. Our first impression with the menu was literally the price. I was just commenting on how I could spend $25-30 (for 2 ppl) at a fast food place for the same ole fast food. The Meal #1 with tax is under $10. Their Grand Opening special of 3 for $10 chicken sandwiches are a steal! And 45 piece chicken nuggets for $18! Meal #1 Chicken sandwich, fries and a drink Their drink vendor is pepsi, so I got a dr. pepper. Fries are great. I like the light crunch on the outside, fries were a good size and seasoned well. Chicken sandwich. The sandwich itself reminds me of the KFC chicken littles from back in the day, but for adults. It has a dark meat fried chicken piece, mayo and a pickle. There was a lot of mayo, but me and my co worker like it that way. I normally don't like pickles in my sandwiches or burgers, but this pickle complimented the whole sandwich. I realized that it's actually a sweeter pickle. Delicious! I feel like these are house-made, need to ask next time. The meal itself was a perfect size and I had extra fries... didn't want to waste them but I was so full! The ambiance was nice upon entry with a modern and open concept. The service was good as I was greeted upon entry. I didn't like that no one was cleaning tables or making sure that the establishment was clean. I had to ask to have my table cleaned and the soda fountain area was dirty. The food was mediocre. Unfortunately, not worth the 40 min drive. The chicken sandwich's were all thigh meat and it was rubbery. The chicken nuggets were the best part of the meal. The regular fries and waffle fries were very greasy. The ranch I do not recommend as it did not taste good. The bbq sauce and Caribbean sauces were good. read more
After seeing some post on social media of this place, I decided to drop by to check it out. This place features chicken sandwiches, nuggets, chicken wings. I ordered the chicken bucket with 45 pieces. The taste is pretty standard, savory, slight crunch, mildly addicting like any chicken nugget. This might be a try once and done for me, not because of the food but the service is pretty slow. Hoping I would be in and out within 5, 10 minutes tops, but I waited over 20 minutes for the chicken nuggets.... I absolutely love this place! The chicken is so affordable, tasty, and juicy! The food is served hot and fresh, the workers are super kind, and there is plenty of seating inside. The tables are clean and everything is delicious! They also have their own Wa Sauce that tastes just like Chick fil A sauce but better! We were excited to try this place because of its affordability. Customer service is excellent. Food was just okay. We ordered a bucket of spicy wings which were actually spicy but it wasnt crispy. I dont know if its their batter but the wings didnt have any crunch that youd expect from a fried chicken. The chicken sandwich is better than the wings. Fries were solid. Love the affordability. Wallace is a new to me chicken and especially chicken sandwich place that have some amazing deals for quality fried and grilled chicken. Their combos are all under $11, with some under $9. They even have a special for 3 fried chicken sandwiches for $10. And it's good tasting chicken too. I won't say it's the best chicken sandwich I've ever had, but I'm also not a huge sandwich guy either. I'd much rather have pieces or even tenders if I'm having chicken. But for what it is, this is pretty tasty stuff. I also thought the workers were very courteous and not overbearing. One of my quick tests of I'm going to like a place is if they let me read for a good half hour without interruption or, gods forbid, kicking me out. They left me in peace when I was engaged with my book, and that's all I could ask of a business. And it's such a nice space. Plenty of room in a clean environment--I like it when I feel like the dining area is open and not stuffy. I could see myself eating here for the foreseeable future. read more
