Terrible management and product quality…read more I paid top dollar for a new front door from Ganahl, only to receive one with obvious defects: flaws in the wood -- including what appears to be a deep saw-cut burn and an oil stain -- putty oozing from the surface, and other workmanship issues that should never have passed quality control. When I reported the defects, Ganahl was dismissive and argumentative. I was essentially told that "wood is wood" and that the condition of the door was normal. That position quickly fell apart when the matter was escalated to the manufacturer, T.M. Cobb, which acknowledged -- from only a few photographs -- that the door did, in fact, have defects requiring attention. Despite that admission, we were told that it would take at least a week for someone merely to inspect the door, with no indication of how much longer an actual repair or replacement might take. Ganahl knew that professional installers were scheduled for the day the door arrived and that the installation was necessary to keep exterior stucco preparation, inspections, and the rest of the construction schedule moving. I proposed a remote video (Facetime) meeting so the parties could review the defects promptly and discuss possible solutions before the project was further delayed. Ganahl and/or T.M. Cobb unilaterally decided that such a meeting would be fruitless and instead dictated that I would have to wait for an in-person visit. T.M. Cobb also refused to discuss the matter with me directly, while Ganahl refused to put me in contact with the person T.M. Cobb planned to send to inspect the door. Their proposed course of action was therefore no solution at all -- send the installers home, stop related work, delay inspections, absorb the resulting costs, and wait at least a week without even being permitted to speak directly with the manufacturer or its inspector about possible options. We were therefore left with two unacceptable choices -- refuse to install the door and bring the project to a halt, or install it to keep construction moving and potentially have to rip it out later. To make matters worse, we were told that installing the door could be treated as acceptance "as-is," supposedly relieving Ganahl and T.M. Cobb of responsibility for correcting the defects. In sum, Ganahl delivered a defective premium-priced product, offered no timely or practical remedy, blocked efforts to discuss solutions promptly, and attempted to shift the consequences of its quality-control failure entirely onto the customer. The defective door was unacceptable. Ganahl's dismissive attitude, lack of urgency, refusal to take ownership, and unwillingness to facilitate direct communication made the experience significantly worse. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering ordering a door through Ganahl or purchasing a T.M. Cobb product.

My husband and I originally planned to go with quartz countertops for the look of natural stone…read morewithout the maintenance. But after doing lots of research and seeing quartzite in a real kitchen, we made the switch. It's been one of the best decisions!!! Marble Yard (not to be confused with The Yard) was the third place we visited. I was already overwhelmed from the other two showrooms, but Dale and his team were so helpful in helping us narrow down our options. He asked for our measurements, input them into a design app, looked at our floor/cabinet samples, and really listened to what we wanted. We told him we were looking for quartzite that resembled marble, and he showed us a leathered Bianco Superiore quartzite slab that was absolutely stunning. The leathered finish has a matte, textured feel where you can actually feel the veins--unlike honed, which is matte but smooth. It wasn't what I expected, but we were both instantly drawn to it. Dale also gave us great recs for tile installers and fabricators, all fairly priced. Total bonus: he's been on multiple HGTV shows as a stone and design expert! Everyone who visits wants to touch our countertops and asks about them. They are also very easy to maintain, even with young kids. Huge thanks to Dale and the Marble Yard team! Highly recommend.

We used his fabricator as well, who ended up being one of the best vendors we've worked with. Everything from selection to fabrication went smoothly, and we absolutely love the final result. Dale truly knows his craft and is a genuinely nice guy. Highly recommend working with him for any marble needs!

My story is as follows..... I wanted to rekey my all doors/locks, which are many and several have different keys that are lost. I was quoted an exorbitant price of $1145 from Golden Locksmith in Irvine for rekeying eight locks and giving me one key for all of them. I felt this quote was way too overpriced and after taking to Tyler, he confirmed he believed that my quote was indeed overpriced. I was thinking I would need to get new cylinders for each lock ( I was contemplating doing the job myself to save money) which is why I called Miter Craft to find out the price. When I told Tyler my story in dealing with Golden Locksmith, Tyler referred me to Balport Lock and Safe which I ended up using, and they were amazing! Tyler let me know I didn't need to purchase new cylinders and that Ballot could handle all my needs without me needing to purchase anything more or new. Simply call Balport and I would be fine and this was the case. I am so grateful for Tylers kindness and honestly with my challenge and when I do need to purchase new door hardware, I will definitely be using Mtier Craft. Their integrity is outstanding!

We made an appt with Robert to come to their showroom to see the doors "in-person". We walked in and met with Robert right away. He was so nice and talked to us about the product we wanted. He's very knowledgeable about all the products in their showroom. In this fast-paced society, we are used to dealing with people that don't care to listen to their customers nor have product knowledge. He was so calm and wasn't pushy like most salespeople are. After deciding on the La Cantina doors, Robert showed us the different types of windows and we walked away fully educated and was able to narrow down the style of windows for our kitchen remodel project. I was also able to talk to Aimee who was sitting behind the desk. She was so nice and friendly and has some really good ideas about what I was looking for. I learned so much about their business just casually speaking to her. I was very impressed how long everyone had been with the company. In my opinion, it says a lot about the company when family members work there...it is definitely a family affair. I love supporting great companies like this. I highly recommend this showroom to anyone who's looking to remodel their home to come in and check them out. They have such great products in such a small space.
