None of our 5 meals were correct. NONE! The cheese logs were good. The dessert was just okay, but.. Kids hamburger meal with apple sauce/slices came with fries and hamburger was more like hockey puck from the 90's movie, Mighty Ducks... My husbands burger came fully dressed when it was requested to be dry or UNDRESSED. Got fries instead of the macaroni and cheese requested. My son, daughter, and my burger were all dressed inconsistent to our request.. Daughter didn't get fries. It was a cluster and more effort went into getting the order wrong than if they had gotten it right (less dressing, etc..).. ‍ We are not likely to order from them again for a long time, if at all. read more

I met a friend for lunch. I ordered Tuna tacos, and he got the Rudy Redfish w a side of mashed. My tacos (2) tasted good, but seemed to lack something, not sure what that is... Maybe they should have had more tuna or have been stuffed fuller? 6.5 of 10 My friend thought his mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes rather than freshly prepared. He gave it a 6 of 10. We had the spinach or artichoke dip? for an appetizer with toast. I give that a 9 of 10 stars. Excellent. Our server started out by giving us a long list of menu items that were unavailable. She was attentive and did a good job. 20% Tip. 8 of 10. Last time I was at Walk-Ons I too made the mistake of ordering a $17 beer. I as well spoke to a male manager on duty. He wanted me to believe that $17 was a fair "Market Price". I now get ice water. This place could be a lot better. Kitchen staff needs to ensure portions are right and that everything is FRESH scratch made. Logistically speaking, management needs to source ingredients or change the menu. Servers should warn customers of items that have unexpected or high cost. Until they do, I consider management to perpetuate deceptiveness, putting profits ahead of customer retention. read more

The food was absolutely phenomenal. I ordered the chicken avocado club with the Louisiana street corn and I LOVED it!! The chicken was seriously cooked to perfection and the sandwich was huge!! You definitely get more for your money here. My boyfriend and I decided to also order the Krispy Kreme bread pudding and H.O.L.Y. HECK! Talk about tasty!! Our waitress, Paris, was on it too! My colleague and I wanted to watch March Madness while we were in town. We chose Walk-Ons because it was different than the usual chain fare and had good reviews: Pros: -Nice atmosphere -Friendly staff with exceptional service from our server, Amy Cons: -None of the self serve beer taps worked (not a big deal) -They don't seem to understand the meaning of "last call." The bartender announced it and we were immediately told that meant no more drinks are served. No, that's not what "last call" means. -With 5 minutes left in a tie game of the Sweet 16, they turned off the TVs and kicked everybody out. That's a first for me. We had a $100+ tab. You can't call yourself a sports bar in the United States if you you're not open for March Madness. We had to scoot to B-Dubs to watch the end of the game. The food is always decent to good and the mixed drinks are always surprisingly really good. She never checked on me nor asked me if needed a refill or if my food came out okay. The other bartender working the opposite side of the bar came over to check on me. Really good food. The service is ok. Must tell them EXACTLY what u want. Don't assume anything. The wait is soooo long, probably bc it's new and hopefully that will change. The food is good but not mind blowing. We tried one of the table taps but there was way to much suds vs beer. You seem to be wasting your money this way. Also the tap at tables doesn't seem as cold as it should be, maybe that's why there are so many suds. Good hang out bar for friends but probably wouldn't take the whole family. read more

I find the food has really went down hill from when it first opened. I was dying for a fish taco. I was very disappointed it was so PLAIN JANE. So boring. Very dry. Consistent of fish on a very dry coleslaw which was cabbage only. No taste at all. They really need to step it up. read more

I wanted to like this place. I really did. Truth is, there is little to really like about it. The food is good - that's pretty much all that can be said about it. It doesn't particularly stand out in any way, which can be death for a restaurant in this town. If you want to survive, you learn how to make yourself unique. As it stands, Walk-On's is simply a sports bar - one with a cool theme, but it serves sports bar food with a Cajun twist. One could argue that makes it unique enough, but when it comes down to it, sports bar food is pretty much the same all over, no matter how you season it or muss it up. Now for the bad. The serving time here is ridiculous. We work for an office nearby and decided to go for lunch to honor a couple of our workers that were leaving us after several years. I arrived slightly later than the others, so they had been there at least ten to fifteen minutes before I arrived. It took us over an hour to be served, and another thirty minutes for the check(s) to arrive afterward. More on that later. All total, we were there for almost two hours, on a day where we needed to be back to work fairly promptly. I understand the place is rather new, but they are going to have to tighten up their procedures - they will lose noon business if they can't get business folk in and out quickly. The waitresses are very friendly, which is a plus. This helped mitigate the fact that they have not been well trained. During our time there, three different waitresses came by and asked us what our orders were - this was after giving them our original order. I had ordered the chicken fingers basket, something that should have been around $8-$9. When my check finally arrived, I was in such a rush to get back to work that I looked at the total, added the tip, and paid in cash because I knew that if I involved a credit card I would be waiting there at least another twenty minutes for how long everything had taken thus far. It wasn't until I got back to the office that I realize they charged me over $13 for something that should have been around $9 with tax (I had water, no drink). They must have given me one of my co-workers receipts by mistake - this after three different waitstaff coming back and asking us what we had ordered while we were eating. I'm sorry, but this level of incompetence is inexcusable. I've never seen anything like that before. I know, it was on me to have verified that I had the correct receipt - I own that. But I cannot get over how bumbling and incompetent the staff is at keeping track of multiple orders. It simply boggles me. This place has the potential to become much better, if they retrain their staff and tighten up their processes and procedures. A lot is going to have to change, though. Given that the food was only adequate, it's not enough to get me to give this place a second try. I'm going to pass on Walk-On's moving forward. read more

I visited here last night for dinner with our family and we really enjoyed it! All of our entrees were excellent and our waitress was very kind & prompt with service to our table. The only down fall to this restaurant is the noise level. It was hard to hear at times but overall was fine. The noise level is the only reason I'd give it 4 and not 5 stars. I'm pissed. Boudin balls were disgusting. Crawfish etoufee had parts of shell. When I told my server who was great, I wanted to trade it in, she went to get the manager. The manager (woman with dark hair) was so rude and tried to argue with me. I ate one of the seven pieces of boudin balls and spit it out. And she said she could only give me 50% off on just that. Working in a restaurant, I know how to talk to customers. She did the opposite. So unprofessional. So rude. If I could give this shit hole zero stars- I would. They're only getting 3 stars because the staff was friendly.. I ordered the stuffed burger with no mayo & it came out without any cheese inside. Since I was eating with my 2 kids I knew by the time it was fixed they would be ready to leave. So I asked if they could just go ahead & box it up to go. So I make it home with my burger & go to eat it... I literally had to throw the bottom bun away because it was sopping with mayonnaise, like soggy & disgusting. I wasn't rude when sending it back, I simply ordered a stuffed CHEESEBURGER & that is what I expected to get. One of my lemon chicken pieces was undercooked and I could not eat it but there was so much food for takeout it was not an issue. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and first the servers couldn't find a beer menu, then they couldn't find a current beer menu, then they couldn't give me prices on beer. Surprised not at all to then find myself charged $9.00 for the same beer I pay $3.00 for at BWW. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I feel robbed. This place has dishonest business practices. If you're going to charge someone $9.00 for a Coors Light, you should at least let them know that they are about to be ripped off so they have the option of going elsewhere. Erika gave horrible service, no knowledge of the menu, no apologies for the very many mistakes, and our privacy was extremely violated. I would not trust these people with my money or support this server or managment again. Even though we were polite about everything, and still tipped well the actions of this server and person have left us in disgust and disbelief. My family will not be returning. I love Walk-On's so much. It's a must have when I'm home visiting family. Since I was in town, I decided to bring my family to check out the new location. The food is always 5 stars but the service was subpar. Our server was rude from the moment we sat down. And although the menu isn't lengthy I wanted to give my family time to look it over and see what you all had to offer. Common curtesy would be to introduce yourself offer drinks and appetizers, instead she displayed strongly how bad she DID NOT want to serve us. I honestly felt like she judged by our skin tone and that isn't fair. Finally we order drinks and appetizers, 15 minutes later she comes back with drinks.. 15 minutes mind you it was only 4 of us. She drops off the drinks and walks away even though we were ready to order our main courses. I had to ask another server to locate our server to place our order. Mind you we have yet to receive our appetizers. She finally comes and takes our order. We waited 30 minutes after our order was placed and still had no appetizers. Our food finally comes it wasn't even our order. When I informed her this wasn't ours she proceed to tell us that this was what we ordered when in reality it was the tabled food next to us. By this time we are all a bit frustrated. She then proceeded to take the order back in the kitchen and brings out the correct food with so much attitude. Then she brings out the appetizers after our main items come. They looked like they'd been sitting for a very long time. Still didn't complain because I wanted to bask in the family time that I don't often get to have and honestly just wanted to enjoy my family. After she dropped off the food she didn't return to our table until I asked another server for our check. She comes up to the table and say how's it split... never once asked how was the food nor refilled our drinks. I tell her it's all on one and that I'd cover the bill. She looks at me and says "oh bless your heart this is a pretty big bill" mind you it was barley a 100 dollars. I felt so many emotions because you'd never hear her say something like that to a person that matched her skin tone. Walk-on should always work with staff on inclusion and to drop the stereo types. I asked for my dish to have the rice on the side instead of on my plate. They did bring rice on the side but also put rice on my plate under my food. I have an allergic reaction to rice. Our first time there and my advice- No. Don't go! First, the area smelled like a portapotty upon getting out of the car. There was a 30 minute wait (so not worth it!) so we sat at the bar. The millennial bartender carded us, & we're in our 50's. I'd like to think we look that amazing, but definitely not under 21, and my SO left his DL in the car- so he had to go back to get it. We ordered the redfish tacos and duck and andouille gumbo, both were just okay- but didn't seem authentically Cajun- seemed more fast-food Cajun. We followed up with an order of fried shrimp/bacon things- mainly you tasted the fried part. We got a couple drinks, $12 each, and again, just okay. I'd love to say the food was amazing, but it wasn't, and when I looked up Cajun restaurants, It did not state that it was a sports bar, (not familiar with the Walk-on brand since we're not from the area) which I wasn't expecting with a Cajun theme. Th service (Addi) was great and the food was good. Be sure to ask how much your beer costs, although who does that!? Was charged $12/beer because it was a "craft beer". I understand "craft beer" is more expensive, but 3x as much? First manager was in the back apparently unwilling to come back and sent Addi back to explain that he was "busy". 2nd Manager made no effort to do the right thing, just insisted she doesn't "set the prices". BS! She said she ALWAYS asks how much her drinks cost EVERY time she goes out; again BS... Disappointed, as a little concession would've gone a long way. Short wait for table. I ordered a drink at the bar and the girl bartender was extremely slow and put a double shot in my Kentucky mule making it hard to drink and pretty gross. Appetizer of waffle cheese fries was good. I ordered the bayou pasta. It came out hot and was pretty tasty although the fried shrimp were on the spicy side. Husband ordered the pasta alfredeaux and it was very tasty! Waitress was friendly but she messed up our ticket. Pretty good place but the girl servers could use some training. read more

First, customer service was horrible. The managers treated us like a ticket instead of like customers. Next, the drinks are overpriced and for an alcoholic beverage, there was minimal alcohol in it. If the cup is 10oz, I should definitely taste the shot of liquor that's supposed to be in it. My cup was fill of lime. And if you go, don't order the nachos with chili and cheese. Tasted horrible and barely had chili or cheese on it. A different waitress did hear my concern and brought additional chili, but with the taste, I still couldn't eat it.
