I received my flu shot here as a walk in. I just had to answer questions and present my insurance. (Emblem health) They suggested another vaccine (t dot) on top of it which is good to have. The woman who gave me the shots did not hurt me and asked which arm I wanted it in. She explained what to expect and if X happened do Y. It was quick. They do have a lunch hour so give a quick call to check if they accept your insurance and their hours. The store itself was nice enough but I prefer cvs for those types of goods. (Cvs does not accept my insurance). There was a parking lot and it is in a good area with many places to eat or shop around as well. read more

This Neppeprhan Ave location in Yonkers, served my husband and I right when I booked our Moderna Boosters for December right before Thanksgiving. Plus we wanted to get the booster as an added measure before heading to Tampa. Walgreens administers only the Moderna and Phizer vaccines- though I'd check if they also do the J&J jabs. Big parking lot- but spaces are tight. This Walgreens is huge inside compared to others I've been to. Vaccine or Booster check-in is easy. All it took was a few questions from the pharmacy tech, fill out a questionnaire about COVID symptoms or not and hang around in the seating area until you're called. Don't let the Rx pickup queue throw you off- because it isn't the booster section. Hubs and I waited a bit and were called individually to a private room where we got poked by the pharmacist who was pleasant, quick and smooth. read more

The pharmacy has this slow and dead energy. They could have 2 customers and it still takes a ridiculous amount of time to be seen. You get notifications saying your stuff is ready, only to get to the store and they don't see any prescription. It's a mess. On top of that, the pharmacy is dusty and dirty. Uncomfortable and long waits sometimes for nothing. I only come here to pick up meds for family members (closest location). Otherwise, I would never go near the pharmacy. read more

Used the pharmacy to fill a prescription for my antibiotic. I usually use McLean, but that location was closed and I was directed here. The staff explained the situation and was helpful, they explained to me what my options were because the prescription could not be transferred. I was understanding because with the other location being closed, I'm sure every patient in the line was a patient from that location and they looked very understaffed so I did not mind waiting the 20 minutes. They gave a call to my doctor and got a new script, filled it, and helped me so politely. Great service. I may end up coming here instead of McLean from now on. read more

I visited this store to get a product which online( on their website) shows to have in stock 5 of one, and 24 of the other. I asked for it, which was under control by the cashiers. I was told they had no more and tried to push something they said was similar. I read it and it cautions, that the product is flammable, to keep away from pets, children, drapes, curtains. The products I'm looking for is a safe 24hr Sanitizing Spray. Why then would you bait and switch for something you know nothing about. I wish I could give this store ZERO stars but sadly that's not a Yelp option yet. This Walgreens is not at the corner or happy and healthy... It's at the corner of misery and fury. An overall disgrace. The parking lot---The parking lot is a rough and rugged disaster that resembles a war zone, not a pharmacy. If you're lucky enough to get a spot during busy hours, watch where you are walking, as there are many obstacles (including large potholes and garbage) along your path. The front store--- Once inside this abomination some call a store, you will find long lines with two cashiers (at best) open. The front store lines are often 10-15 customers long and wind to the back wall of the food section. Good luck finding a worker on the sales floor to help you look for something or help with any question. The photo department--- Do not have your photos printed here. I have had photo orders done here four times, and all four times I've had to GO BACK to the store and have them redo the photos because they are cut off. The manager barely offers an apology for the inconvenience of going back. The pharmacy---This pharmacy department is an embarrassment. If you drop off a prescription, the wait is never less than an hour. When picking up a prescription, once again, like the front store, the line will be at least 10 people long. The staff is decently trained, there's just not enough of them for such a large pharmacy. I go to this walgreens because it's 24 hours. If it wasn't for that, I would go elsewhere. If you shop there after 10:00 pm, be prepared to see a plethora of low lives that are clad in pajamas. Why not level the store and make it a trailer park?? When I know I have to go to this store, I find myself getting angry at home, furious when I drive there, and discouraged when I arrive in the disheveled parking lot. Disgraceful. read more

This location is good. They're open 24/7 so good for people who work late hours. Pharmacy has always been good except when the line gets long and there's only one person at the register. What's horrible service . I'm a disabled veteran. I was denied my flu shot by a lady who seemed as if she just didn't want to do her job. Currently, all Walgreens provide free flu vaccinations to all veterans . I showed the pharmacist my VA card and all other forms of identification. This is a terrible experience. I hate this place with every fiber of my being. I am currently waiting on line at the pharmacy department. If I can write a full review of this godforsaken store before my turn comes around, I think that will speak for itself. This is one of the stores that I dislike going to so much that I start to get agitated while I'm driving there. I walk in knowing that I will probably be spending three times as much time here than I meant to. The line is ALWAYS backed up, usually because there's one cashier open to help 20+ customers while the rest just stand around. When employees finally do deign you with their presence, "surly" does not even begin to cover it. Don't get me started on the pharmacy dept. These people could make incompetence an Olympic sport. Every single month, WITHOUT FAIL, when I go to pick up prescriptions, not only does this Walgreen's location consistently forget to refill at least one of them, but they treat me like I am wasting their precious time with my pick up. If on the rare occasion they haven't screwed up my order, there are usually 3-7 people waiting at the side because something is wrong with THEIR prescriptions. Thus making all of us have to wait longer. Done, and I have still not yet reached the counter. I hate you Walgreens, and your monopoly on the pharmacies of Northwest Yonkers. Horrible store. Went here to buy diapers last min cuz I ran out. Picked up the ones I usually buy. And the price seemed high compared to what I usually pay. Went online and on Walgreens' own website. With health insurance as a result of being a NYC teacher for the past 20 years, you would hope that you can get your prescription for insulin and insulin for your daughter who also needs it but NOPE. This Walgreen's is the most ineffective pharmacy I have ever seen. They do not receive prescriptions that doctors transmit even if you have the paper the doctor gave you confirming the transmission was successful of said prescription! More than one agency needs to investigate how they are able to remain open. I can not be the only customer who has had multiple BAD experiences while trying to get my maintenance medications. Where do I begin? The pharmacy here is out of control. There is ALWAYS a long line. I have stood on a line of literally 10+ people. If you go late at night to pick up a prescription thinking there wont be any lines, THINK AGAIN! At a certain late time all the pharmacy workers go home and only the pharmacist is there. So you have one pharmacist counting medications, taking in prescriptions AND doing the register. How can one person do all 3 jobs?? The front of the store always has an insane line. They only have Moderna in rock which is not approved for under 18 years old. So when I made the appointment I gave his date of birth. I was not directed to a different location. Worst pharmacy I've ever been to and hopefully won't have to again. My grandmother received a call saying her medication was ready to be picked up. Went to pick up her medications and they said the medication was ready but their system was down and couldn't release it to come back in a hour or two. I went back three hours later, and they told me I have to wait while they fill the prescription. After going off on them telling them that I was already there and they called and said it was filled, I had to wait 20 mins for it to be filled. I get called up saying it's ready, and it was an insane amount of money and two medications, and none of which that she was supposed to receive. Thank god I looked at the name because they almost gave me somebody else's medications! The names didn't even sound similar and the medication I said I was there to be picked up wasn't even remotely close to what they filled. They should all lose their jobs for such incompetence. read more

Walgreens did not accept my prescription because my dr. didn't put a date on it. I was told he can either fax it or electronically send the rx. My dr. faxed the rx and when I called Walgreens, I was told they did not receive it. I called my dr and told him they didn't not receive the fax. He then called Walgreen, but nobody answered, therefore he left a message. I spoke to Kay from Walgreens; expressed to her I was in great pain and my dr. has been trying to get in contact with someone and left a message. At 6:21 a gentleman called me back and told me the faxed was received, but he couldn't give me the rx without the original rx. I explained the rx doesn't have date on it and I've been in pain since 1:00 pm afternoon and dealing with the rx issue for 6 hours, but still he was not willing to accommodate me. I understand there are rules and regulations that needs to be followed, but Walgreens on Nepperhand has THE worse service. I went around in circles with my situation and did not accommodate me. They did not care that I was in excruciating pain and it was obvious that the workers there were incompetent and do not communicate with each other. I would also like to add that there is ALWAYS a line, a line of more than 10 people. They never have enough people working to have better service. This is the worse pharmacy!!! The pharmacy departure is the worst around. Gave them my prescription on a Monday and was told they don't have it and will order it and would take 5 to 7 business days. i find myself visiting this yonkers nepperhan ave walgreens whenever my buddy is running late for our meet up which is always . the parking lot needs a makeover too many cars and not enough spaces with folks driving recklessly for a spot . the spacious well stocked aisles are a plus, selection of sales are always available , lines are long but do move in a timely manner but maybe having the extra cashier would ease the verbal complains flying around . pharmacy and photo dept looks like they are in control but the magazine section which i tend to visit to past the time while waiting for my loser bud needs more sports mags and less mags with no talent slugs. it's open 24/7 minus the pharmacy dept so i assume if you visit after midnight you may see a motleys crew of characters . overall i like going to my local walgreens for paper towels , the dollar movie box candies , 12 roll of scott tissues when it's 6.99 and bunch of other stuff when it's on sale . end of review . read more
