This is the only 24-hour anything around, and the larger of the two CVS stores near Fleetwood Station. While I enjoy drugstore/pharmacy random item shopping each week, I hate the perpetual line that exists in this place. No self-checkout and almost always a shortage of cashiers for the number of registers. You might think, "24 hours? Go at 2 a.m. to avoid the line, knuckle head!" Nope. It really doesn't matter that you go in the middle of the night, there will be a line snaking its way to the back, going towards the pharmacy. Pharmacy techs are helpful, line is outrageous (in case I didn't mention that) and in the past couple of years, the store's organization has drastically improved. Now they also make sure that their shelves are stocked, whereas a while ago, it was bare bones. Now, if we could just work on changing the average wait time from 25 to 5 minutes, I might be more inclined to actually buy the things I pick up here instead of dropping them on other shelves and bitching on my way to the train. Pro- tip: Go with a friend (and a shopping list). One of you wait in the line that will already be waiting for you when you enter the store, and the other go fetch the items. 2 days after my doctor sent a prescription, it still was not filled and had to talk to multiple people to get the prescription. Very disorganised. Very poor experience for someone with an upper respiratory infection. I will use a different pharmacy in the future. read more

This store is well stocked year round. They've had everything I've needed, when I needed, in the quantity I needed- each and every time- unlike neighboring stores. Neighboring CVS store managers should take copious notes on how it's done! The pharmacy has repeated and without error or delay gotten my meds on time. My hat's off to you all! read more

I want to take a moment to recognize this store for their ridiculous achievement of conquering the "in-store pick-up" business model. I have never experienced such a smooth, seamless tranaction with other store like Target, Walmart, Best Buy or even Kohls, as examples. In the past two months I Have placed about ten in-store pick-up orders and when placed during open store hours, they are almost always ready for pick-up in less than ten minutes. Specifically, my last two orders were ready in six minutes and two minutes after I placed the order. They really are overachievers and need to be applauded for that. read more

I started working at the AFC Urgent care nearby not too long ago and have had terrible service from the pharmacy staff. The pharmacy staff is extremely unprofessional and rude to providers and clinical staff. I tried to reach a manager or front desk staff, and was unable to. The first time I called, the pharm tech was able to hear me just fine and as soon as I mentioned needing prescription assistance she said she couldnt hear me... and hung up. I had to call back and when I asked the pharmacists to connect me with a manager, they started saying things under their breath and tried to tell me I was unprofessional, and to tell the provider to call... when I am that person. As someone who was a pharmacy tech, I dont wish this service for any patient. Patients constantly call back saying they had to wait a ridiculous amount of time just because the pharmacists are too lazy to give the clinic a call and ensure medications can get to people that need them. If you are looking for a reliable pharmacy in which you are treated like a person and not a bother, this is not the one and Id recommend choosing literally any other pharmacy in the area. read more

My visibly 8 month pregnant wife needed to be vaccinated against RSV and the pharmacist Mohammed misrepresented the facts about needing a prescription for vaccine or it's for seniors only. We called corporate and they confirmed NY State passed a law in which pregnant women are 8 months can be vaccinated without prescription. The rest of the staff refused to help or misrepresented the fact she had a appointment and then complained about problematic customers to the next customer for 20 min. Another CVS in Yonkers had no problem confirming and vaccinating my wife. read more

This CVS is a mess! No one works here. The lines are always long especially in the pharmacy. No one comes when you call for help. They don't answer the phones. The workers that do show up are useless and don't know where anything is in the store. read more

This CVS is awful. They do not accurately update their files. Due to someone in the pharmacy not updating my file I had two insurances on file. I was not able to refill my prescription and went without it for two days. Their lead pharmacist simply said sorry. I had a similar issue in January when they entered my date of birth incorrectly and my insurance company kept denying my refills. I used a different CVS for 6 years before this one and had no issues. The pharmacy at this location is careless and indifferent. Do not fill your prescription here. read more

I wish there was an option for zero stars. Majority of the staff are amazing people, but there are a few employees/managers that definitely make a bad thing worse. We need a supermarket not an overpriced store with nothing healthy inside and a small pharmacy in the back that is totally incompetent. Doesn't shop & stop have a pharmacy? This neighborhood would be such a better place to live if the city got rid of cvs and replaced it with a supermarket. The people of this area really need to stop spending their money here. read more

The fence surrounding the CVS parking lot has been broken for months and until just recently was left blocking the sidewalk and parking spaces. When will management stop neglecting the property and clean this up? This is an eyesore for all the neighborhood. read more

This CVS is fairly new and still LOOKS new. The place is clean, well organized, and usually well stocked. The carpets look nice, and the pharmacy is easy to access. Most of the aisles are also well spaced, and flow well from one section to the next. Half of the staff is incredibly helpful and nice, while the other half are rude jerks who obviously hate their jobs. Also, the line to checkout is often ridiculously long. They have check stands at both ends of the store, but usually only the back side check stands are open (the parking lot side). Also, the entrance at the corner of Grand and Fleetwood Ave is usually not working (automatic doors), forcing you to walk all the way around to the back entrance. Half the time they are more than happy to put your purchases in bags that you bring in on your own. The other half the time, they will put your purchases in their plastic bags THEN put those in your canvas bags! On my son's last trip, the checker told him that he *HAD* to put the purchase (just a soda and chips) into a plastic bag first and said, "Your canvas bag might rip..." The guy also refused to scan my son's green tag. Pro's: * open 24 hours * clean and tidy * well stocked * managers are friendly and knowledgable * If you have a CVS card, AND a green bag tag, AND watch their sales, AND use coupons, you can save a ton of money by shopping here. * pharmacy staff is really nice, and the wait is very short compared to the regular checkout line Con's: * half of the staff is really rude. The cashier today threw my CVS card on the counter instead of handing it to me - no exaggeration - he THREW it down. * checkout line can be monstrously long. For a 5 minute shopping trip, you may spend 20 minutes in line * street side entrance is usually not working * street side checkstands are NEVER open/in use * sale items frequently aren't in their system, so you have to watch the register to make sure items ring up for the right price I only shop here because it is convenient and I can save a lot of money over the regular grocery store. read more

Pharmacy does not pick up phone service lousy pharmacy techs are holding personal conversations in front of customers. Very unprofessional.

DO NOT SEND YOUR PRESCRIPTION HERE! They do not answer their phone. I've tried calling them several different days and I'm constantly on hold waiting for 20+ minutes. I've never been able to speak to them because no one ever answers. I end up having to go in the store to check if my prescription is ready just to find out they didn't even do it yet. The worst. Never sending my medication here again and I recommend you don't either. read more

Pharmacy staff do not answer calls and when they do it is only to place on on hold. My doctor sends in prescriptions and they do not get filled unless I call the pharmacy. They also change the brand of my generic prescriptions without notice and this caused me to break out in hives from an allergic reaction to one of their drugs. Steer clear of this pharmacy. read more

This 24 hr CVS is bigger than most and has a great variety of item including food. The pharmacy tends to carry anything they can prescribe to you and you can count on being open. I will continue to come here even though i have a smaller one closer to me. read more

Great store - It's just scary when you see someone's vehicle being booted for no reason (I think). The "boot man" accused the customer of staying in one of the surrounding buildings overnight and parking in the lot illegally. I don't know the truth but I am glad it was not my vehicle. Felt sorry for the lady, she was screaming when she saw the boot. Luckily for her the guy was still in the parking lot and she convinced him to remove the boot off. I guess she proved her innocence ... And yes, the check-out line is way too long ... ALL OF THE TIME! read more

This CVS is a JOKE!!! There is ALWAY a huge line at both of the exits, and it is always totally understaffed. I called the pharmacy to get a prescription filled. Was put on hold and 20 mins later go fed up and called back to the store. Spoke to the manager and was told they were understaffed and that I would just have to wait on hold if I needed anything. He transferred me back where I sat for 30 mins on hold. So after being on hold for 50 mins I decided that going to ANY OTHER BUSINESS was better then dealing with the CLOWN SHOW that is this CVS and its inept staff. Its faster for me to drive 15 mins to another better pharmacy then put up with subpar service. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

This place is super convenient, especially because I get home late from work some nights. Very convenient. Most of the staff is polite...not always competent, but polite. for me that is key-customer service is VERY important to me. My biggest, complaint is that the inventory is not well stocked. The store manager seems to have trouble gauging the levels of inventory needed to keep revenue up and flowing. I am sure the store does well, but think of how much more it could do, if they remained stocked! This place is always clean and pretty well organized. read more
