I went for a passport picture in the CVS in Yonkers Ave in a Monday morning around 11am. Had the worst customer service ever. The associate was on the phone and did not seem to care. He was texting the whole time during the service. He took my picture and when I told him that my picture was not clear. He told me it passed the criteria. My experience here is awful. The pharmacy staff is SO damn rude- cutting you off, just having an attitude in general. I ordered a RX here and they said they didn't have it and they would put the order in for it that day. I called back days later to find out they never put it in. On top of that, they told me my insurance wouldn't be accepted there... only to find out they didn't even have my insurance on file. They mentioned an insurance I never even had. I went to talk with the pharmacy dept in person. I received a letter from CVS Pharmacy in reference to a recall on a medication that was prescribed to me. I brought back the unused bottles to ask what I should do with them. They were not interested in what I had to say. They told me to contact my insurance company. My insurance company informed me that since the medicine was filled by CVS, they should direct me as to what to do. CVS just said, " no we cannot help you". I am extremely disappointed with the way they handled this- which was no help at all!!! read more

To be fair, had I done this review over a year ago, it would have been 1 generous star easily. So based on all the years I've been here, I finally had enough and stopped coming here altogether. From the inept. rude staff to the stocking issues, I didn't need to come here and get frustrated so I avoided this place for the longest time although they are the closest CVS to me. I've had to come here twice fairly recently out of simple necessity. Both times they have seemed like they've changed a bit. The store looks more presentable than it did for many years and most things I needed were in stock. The cashiers have actually been efficient and friendly. And there are no automated registers here. I've had issues here before with the pharmacy - both with their pricing, lack of simple logic, and inept staff.....both pharmacists and everyone else back there. The assistants always seemed to think they were above customers and had brains, when it was in fact the opposite - really, they put on the white coat and they think they're something they're clearly not. A few of the staff in the back end of the pharmacy were more than enough to make me swear off this location to ever use as a pharmacy again. I've gone to locals and CVS's main competitor Walgreen's down the block. Perhaps along with the rest of the changes in this location, they have changed the pharmacy area as well. Maybe some of those idiots they had back there are actually gone now. Maybe one day I'll try them again.....maybe. Anyway, the aisles are a little cramped at some spots. They have chairs for customers waiting for their prescriptions in the back and it does get crowded at times. The general CVS layout is mainly the same as far as actual stock goes as most other locations. The parking lot sucks, but there's not much they can do about it. It's crowded near the front and there's always cars coming and going along with pedestrian traffic. Cars making a left turn from the lot will sometimes be there a while since Yonkers Avenue traffic can be a bit much at times. There used to be a panhandler at the front of the doors here all of the time with the same "story" each time - she must've made quite the living, as she was there for years doing this all day and night instead of actually finding a job. Anyway, I haven't seen her the last two times I went, so she's finally gone. So yes, while I despised this CVS for many, many years - they seemed to have changed and I'm willing to come back and try some more here. Hopefully they continue this way. Maybe after a while, I'll give their pharmacy a try again. read more

Shanne is such a life saver! She is so amazing! I have never got service like that in my entire life. She is so friendly , helpful and personable it's almost unbelievable that there are people like this that still exist!! I came in to make a 4 x 6 magnet collage and had no idea what I was doing but she walked me through it for almost an hour and called me in the morning to let me know that everything went through and I can pick it up whenever I'm ready. She really went above and beyond and made me in such a great mood because now I got something beautiful for my partner for Christmas and I don't have to have anxiety or stress about where else I could've gotten it done because in reality if she didn't walk me through it I don't know what I would've done. She is literally the best ever and she needs to be running all the CVS stores in this region or at least in Yonkers! God bless her!! read more

Don't know why all the bad reviews. Yesterday was my first time sending my prescription here. Was told it would be a 30 min wait; not bad at all. The pharmacists staff were very friendly and quick with getting my order ready. I would definitely use them again in the future. read more

CVS pharmacy at 585 Yonkers Avenue is sub-par at best. Their customer service is absolutely horrendous and as they say, it's start from the top. The head pharmacist whose name start with an "R" and ends with an "ini" (CVS you can figure out which employee I'm speaking of) started her day by opening the pharmacy 9 minutes late, while her elderly customers stood waiting for her to come do her job. They fail to inform anyone that they do not start providing flu vaccinations until 10 AM, when the pharmacy opens at 9 AM. And when you ask the head pharmacist about this, she can't even crack a smile when speaking to customers. If you don't like your job, quit. Fast forward, you go home to try to schedule an appointment online, and 585 CVS shows they don't have flu vaccines available. CVS's website advises that you can call the pharmacy to make an appointment over the phone. Needless to say, after 5 phone calls to get through, our dear head pharmacist answers the phone and refuses to make an appointment over the phone. After you explain that CVS's website states that you're allowed to call to make an appointment, what does she say? "We don't do that here, you can walk in." CVS what are you doing with thinking that this trash ass service is okay? Your customers really deserve better. FYI your pharmacy employees look miserable too, not one smile and it's only the start of the day. read more

So I Went to my neighborhood CVS at 585 Yonkers avenue this evening to pick up some medication and went to pay in the in the pharmacy, Lorraine who is the customer service person told me she was not going to ring me up because there were people online with more important issues than ringing up my medication that I was trying to purchase over the counter. At a time we where racism still exist as I am an African-American male to be told by a white woman that she's not going to serve me it's just unacceptable. I had to reach out to a manager there and the manager made this woman Lorraine ring me up and she wasn't happy she was slamming the stuff that I purchased on the counter and as a man I decided to take the highroad and not engage but this type of ignorance needs to be put on notice. I will be boycotting the CVS and not returning there and this needs to be looked into because to have someone in customer service feel that they can refuse anyone service is wrong and someone like that should not be working in my local CVS store. read more

I Think this must be the Worst CVS!!! They don't have enough staff,and the staff they do have in the PHARMACY DEPT. Must be the worst in the US!!!! The Drs send scripts over, and they will argue with you for hours that he didn't!!! My Drs have to always call , and straighten them out!! When ever I spend some time at empire casino and need a break from watching all the losers lose the mortgage payment or the kids fall tuition payment I make a quick stop at cvs on yonkers ave to pick up.a few goodies and more.The pharmacy section seems to be busy whenever I visit so that means more room for me to grab a weekly flyer and grab what's on sale even if I don't have any use for it . The aisles are well stocked for the most part and it's not messy like some other cvs stores in the bronx and South yonkers . Don't forget to use your cvs card or you will pay the regular non sale price . Milano cookie bags 2 for 5 BUCKS or talenti ice cream 2 for 8 BUCKS are some of the sales that make a visit to the yonkers ave cvs meaningful or you can watch overstressed folks lose a bundle on a heartless slot machine .p.s. parking lot is always filled with non cvs customers . read more

Again I went to the most depressing CVS probably in the United States. I have a suggestion for the Corporate home office of CVS... close the store. Iam puzzled by the over all atmosphere and condition of the store. I've been in so many CVS in various states and New York State and I have never seen one store in such dismay. Yes I can go to a different CVS in Yonkers but my curiosity did get the best of me and I just wanted to see if perhaps something was being done to improve the store.. there's nothing being done if anything it's worse. They don't have enough employees at this location. Every time I come, there's a long line. One employee, male with glasses, is overly friendly. He was helping my friend get razors and he asked why she was purchasing men's razors. She said they work better. After ringing her up and walking out of the store, he yells to her "bye hairy legs" in front of other customers. read more

Every person that works here that I have spoken to has always been so nice and helpful. It is also very organized and stocked.

The lines are always long and they never have enough people. I've started to realize they follow mostly black people around the store especially around the beauty section. It's really irritating because it makes you not want to shop there. They try to do it discretely but it's very obvious. Not everyone is a thief. Pharmacy does a great job. I've never had an issue with them. DO NOT SIT ON THE CHAIRS NEAR THE PHARMACY SECTION. The stains on those chairs are disgusting. Please don't do it to yourself. read more
