We left Walgreens for the CVS across the street for the simple reason that Walgreens is no longer open at the pharmacy 24 hours. I understand that this is a business decision and has nothing to do with the staff here but lack of availability in a potential emergency does reflect on their overall customer service. In the months leading up to these business changes it seemed as though their staff had turned over a few times quickly, and they had rehired too few people that were never adequately trained. The wait lines for prescriptions got very long, and often times they didn't even have the medication that we needed and we were sent to another Walgreens location or even to the pharmacy at Albertsons across the street. These problems all added up over time and when they cut back the pharmacy hours we just left. read more

Well, they are crafty, you have to give them that. Picked up a prescription not on insurance.. Already checked good RX and it should be $13. They come back "that will be $44 please". Pharmacy is profoundly slow and confused. I'm rarely able to pick up a prescription without needing to wait or return while they correct some kind of billing error. If you call the pharmacy, be prepared to wait 30mins - an hour only for them to hang up on you. They NEVER answer the phone, they are rude in the drive through and although the online system says your medication is ready, it's not when you try to pick it up. I came here to pick up a package that was on hold for me. Subsequently, I also needed to drop off a FedEx package for shipment. The woman working the front of the store was rude, and did not accept my package for shipment. She claimed that my box was too large for shipment. On FedEx's website, it notes that as long as your box was less than 20" x 12" x 6", they should be able to ship it out! However, she was not having it and refused my package. A woman walked in and politely asked if someone was working the photo counter, and she was completely ignored by the same Walgreens employee. Smh! I'd avoid this store if possible! read more

Horrible service. Every time I've come here to pick up a prescription, the staff is entirely rude and they all act like they don't want to be here and take it out on the patients. I had an appointment for a vaccination and it took them over 40 minutes to even speak to me when there wasn't even a line. If you get a vaccination here, plan to be here for at least an hour. read more

Added then removed prescription status a few times by looking at Walgreens app. Called in to update insurance only for them to remove prescription and change status back to UPDATE INSURANCE a couple of times 3x. The worst pharmacy EVER. Staff is rude and very slow. Multiple times my prescription has been called in early afternoon but cant get filled the same day. I stopped going there after using regularly for a year. Instead use CVS across the street, been going there for the last 6 months, and it is 1000x better (although it can get very busy... yet somehow they still manage.) I guess I should have taken a look at other reviews of this store before booking my Covid Booster shot appointment. But, alas, I did not. I made my online account on Walgreen's website, and booked an appointment for 1:00pm on 6/9/22. On the day of the appointment I checked the Walgreen's website and it showed no appointment for me at all. No problem, these things happen. So I booked another appointment, filled out all the necessary paperwork online (including my insurance information). But when I got to the store, it was as if I had never existed before that moment. They had no record of me (despite the account I had already made on their website), no information about me (again, even though I had already filled out all the paperwork online). The clerk handling my situation was perfectly polite, but didn't seem to have a clue as to what he should be doing. It was as if he had never done it before, was unfamiliar with the system in place and repeatedly had to go ask others behind the pharmacy counters questions. The end result being that I did not get my booster shot. I refuse to fill out paperwork, THAT I JUST FILLED OUT ONLINE!!!!. It's a computer system, for the love of all that is holy, can't these people get TWO pages of information from their corporate website to their actual stores days after I made my account? What's the problem. I can send my entire life story and every thing about me to the far side of the world in a matter of seconds!!! Love this Walgreens The pharmacy goes above and beyond and is always friendly. We always have to get approval from Workmans Comp for my husband's prescriptions and that is a chore! But they always go above and beyond and do their best to get it taken care of it's quick as possible. Adding another one star to their outstanding one star reviews. Drive thru pharmacy is the slowest there is. They constantly let people just sit while they work out insurance or whatever else instead of making them come inside. Prepare yourself as the average wait time at the drive thru is 15-20 mins. read more

I ran out of my high blood pressure medication. Even though I had a renewed prescription for three months supply, it took the pharmacy three weeks to realize that I actually had run out of my meds. They kept telling me that I needed the doctor's approval. Walgreen pharmacy mistakenly informed the doctor's office that I still had sufficient meds. By the time they verified from their records that I did not have any more meds, three weeks had gone by. This will be my last visit. Even Walmart will do better. read more

I absolutely hate this pharmacy ! I have to use it because of my insurance. They move at a snails pace and are totally RUDE !!!!!! I use the "refill" when I get my texts but still don't have it ready when I go to pick my prescriptions up. They are rude at the drive thru and rude when you stand at the pharmacy. I can be understanding, I have worked in retail long enough to know sometimes you have days where you are understaffed and get slammed. But this was consistent over a week span. I hadn't used Walgreens Pharmacy before but after using my good Rx app said they had the best deal on my son's rather expensive ADHD medication. I waited in a rather long drive thru line and dropped off the prescription Monday afternoon they seemed frazzled and busy. The person who took the prescription from me asked if I needed it right away, I told her I could swing by later. My husband later calls me and asked if I was waiting on a prescription from Walgreens, the fact that they were contacting my husband after I had given them my number was odd. But they said the medication was delayed. So I went back the following afternoon. The lady looked up my info and she said,"yeah, we didn't order it...I mean we couldn't because it was too late to order it once we got your prescription. But we ordered it this morning it should be in by Friday. So I waited till Friday afternoon. Again there was a ridiculously long wait in the drive thru. When the guy asked for my info his reply was,"yeah we are all out of that and will have to wait for it to come in." I told him they told me that they ordered it Tuesday and said it would be ready Friday. He went back to check something and came back with his same response of their out and I will just have to wait. Later I decided to call back and see if I could get the prescription back and just take it somewhere else. This time I spoke with Desiree who is a floating Pharmacist. She said she would look into the invoices and see what the delay might have been. She called back an hour later, and they never placed the order and the closest that had the medication in stock was Plano. Desiree gave the best service she could given the situation and I am thankful she went the extra mile and located the pharmacy that did have the medication. read more

Just spent 45 minutes in line in the drive thru behind one car. Not one exchange of anything including communication(no intercom at the window, you have to yell through the drawer opening) between the folks in front of us and the pharmacy. At this point we went inside to complain to the store manager(not on site) and the Pharmacy manager(not on site) and finally to the rude young woman who I suppose was the pharmacy tech. Service is always lacking, prescriptions not available and most recently sent me to the Sachse store that did not run my insurance that I am finding out 30 days later. Staff seems unhappy with their jobs and I have been ignored by the pharmacist and staff member before and left because they did not even acknowledge me even though we made eye contact on at least two occasions - nothing, not even, I will be right with you. After 12 years this place has become unacceptable. i was not informed my medication was not in stock. When I called to see if my meds had come in 4 days later, I was told by Bob the pharmacist that I should call around to see if I could find it somewhere else. This Walgreen's is ridiculous, one of the managers, its a lady with glasses. She is rude and idiotic, I am a coupon-er which I was buying products from this location but every single time I came in and used my coupons that manager would back fire at me with something ridiculous. In one case, I wanted to use a coupon for paper towels, a pack of 6 at Walgreen they go for $5. well the coupon I wanted to use said 1.00 off a pack of 4 or more. But of course this incoherent manager kept telling me i couldn't use it. HELLO!! I am buying a pack of 6 that is more then 4. I even asked here to scan the coupon and everyone knows if it beeps then it does not work(BUT i knew it would work b/c i had bought some the day before,which that lady was not there) and she stated she could not do that.
