Worst pharmacy ever do not use them unless you want to be disappointed. It is one excuse after the next for why a prescription is never ready. Dealt with them for three weeks and every interaction was worst than the one before they are worthless. Go to the CVS on Brancroft they actually fill prescriptions on time and do it right the first time. Also encountered three other people yelling at them for messing up their prescriptions and now I know why. If getting your prescriptions on time is important go somewhere else. read more

I had a rough experience with the store manager when I returned holiday cards that were cut badly. Initially my order had to be delivered incomplete because their cutting machine broke. I took a half inch of uncut cards to cut at home (no discount was offered) and I went on my merry way. Upon arriving at home I saw the cut cards left a white margin on the right side and cut off the H in Holiday on the left along with a photo on that edge. I returned to the store and I asked for a manager expecting they would offer me a timeline for re-doing the cards but didn't get that far. When I tried to show the manager what had happened I stated, "Your machine cut my cards funky". That elicited a response of "First of all, it's not my machine and you are being hostile...". She was more than defensive projecting her own hostility. I wasn't interested in conflict and when she left the counter to do I don't know what I asked another clerk to refund me which she did. I won't go back to that location again. It was very upsetting to have the "manager" speak to me that way. The rest of the staff looked shocked and were nice. I feel sorry for the staff there and hope the manager was just having a bad day because it can't be good being employed there if she's like that all the time. read more

Beautiful new building, but unfortunately, the same poor service. Left after waiting at the unattended pharmacy counter.

Today I had the worst pharmacy service ever. I've used this pharmacy for 5 yrs, they just lost my business. My dog has seizures & I needed a refill on her medication, the Pharmacist refused to give it to me even though my Vet had authorized it and told them she can't go without &needed it ASAP. This woman expected me to wait until I was down to 2 pills then come in, even though I explained I could not return over the weekend & my Vet Office told her it was fine she still REFUSED!! Even my Vet office suggested I go elsewhere, I understand fully there are "regulations" , I don't want a Pharmacist who over rides my Doctor! It's seizure meds for a Dog . . . I think my Veterinarian knows best - I'm done with Walgreens read more

This rating is for the pharmacy only. This is the poorest run pharmacy I have ever dealt with. On the weekends they close in the afternoon with no clear schedule. Now on the weekend peoples time is valuable and for the place to just close with no staff in the middle of the day is ridiculous. Then when they are open they have a long line of people waiting and have one person taking care of all the customers. Clearly there is a total lack of customer focus or service. No other major pharmacy in the area operates like this. read more

By far, one of the worst pharmacies I've ever had to deal with. Incompetent employees, mistakes on almost every order, and a management team that has no idea how to run a competent pharmacy. I never had an issue with Walgreens until I moved my prescriptions to this one. Good luck to anyone else that chooses this pharmacy. I've never used anything but the pharmacy, so can't comment on that side. read more

Took pharmacy an hour to fill one prescription and I was the first and only customer.

This pharmacy is completely incompetent. Every time my wife's prescription is sent here they send out an email saying there is a delay and every time the delay is really they don't bother to check and see if her prescription is covered by insurance. They've told us it would take 3-4 days until they would know if it's covered and then after being told that they send out an email 5 minutes after we leave saying it's ready. They just lied over the phone saying her prescription didn't even come in until 8:05 today, when my wife watched her doctor send in the prescription at 10:30 and got an email saying there was a delay at 1 pm. This is one of the worst pharmacy's I've ever been to and the treatment from the pharmacy staff is absurd. If you don't want to get your prescription in a timely fashion and want to be treated like garbage and lied to because their incompetent this is the place to go. If you don't then fill your prescription somewhere else read more

The Walgreens at Ygnacio Valley and Oak Grove is a big disappointment when it comes to hair products. I don't understand why they stock shampoos with no matching conditioners or conditioners with no matching shampoos. Makes absolutely no sense to me. Also, no matter what day or time I go there none of the shelves have been restocked. Such bad management read more

I have never been more outraged at a store manager. I went there today at 9am and had about $50 worth of toys to buy. One of the times was buy one for $6.99 and get the second free. The store manager Ana Marie would not honor the sale stating it had ended at midnight the night before. I told her the signs were still up and she should honor it. She said she wouldn't and literally walked away from the cash register leaving me and my two children standing there. The poor checker felt bad and apologized for her. I tracked her down and again told her to honor the price as the signs were clearly posted. She told me the night crew was supposed to take them down but forgot. The she ignored me. Even though this is the closest drug store to me, I will never enter the doors again, strictly on principal. So much for customer service. I ended up leaving with out any merchandise. read more

The pharmacy is the worst pharmacy. Every time I need to fill a prescription they are always out of the medication and they have to order it. Even basic prescriptions. If there is a problem with your prescription they don't even bother contacting you about it. The staff that work there don't seem to be very professional either. I'm going back to CVS. read more

It takes forever to get a prescription filled here. Store needs renovating - only plus is that sometimes has some cheap items for the kids... read more

I have been shopping at this Walgreens for years. I generally am able to find what I need, I think the store is clean and well maintained. Most of the people are really friendly here. There use to be a manager here who was very rude and condescending. I haven't seen him on my last few trips here - Thank God! The new manager seems to be a really nice guy. I went today to have my passport photo taken and it happened to be the manager who took my picture. He allowed me to see my picture before it was printed - which I really appreciated. He was also nice enough to print my photos right away, which took about 5 mins. I got two passport photos for $9.99 which I thought was reasonable. read more

Absolutely horrible. No staff at 530 pm. I walked around this place for an hour, with a small list of things. Could not find anything I needed. The shelves were bare, and very overpriced. I asked of they carried NYX COSMETICS as no one was at the cosmetics register. She looked at me like I was crazy. Even the pittsburg Walgreens carries NYX. And their shelves are stocked, plenty of staff and friendly. A waste of my time. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY. This pharmacy has been the worst experience. I am upset I haven't left sooner. It was convenient so i continued to go but i am fed up. They have switched my medication without confirmation, they have messed up prescriptions, have been argumentative every time they make a mistake and are completely unprofessional. They do not take blame for THEIR mistakes. Worst customer service and worst experience. Wish I could give them 0 stars but it wasn't an option. read more

I've always visited this location and with the new management it seems to be running better. They still need to be more aware of lines and call cashiers sooner as the lines build. Especially in the Pharmacy department. That's the reason why 4 out of 5. read more

Although this store is small they usually have what I need. Noticed prices going up though. The customer service has been consistently great. Wish I knew the name of this one lady cause she's awesome. Always helpful, cheerful & funny. They blow CVS, Target & Kmart out of the water on customer service. read more

I've had good luck at the pharmacy and normal checkout since moving here. My rating is on a curve -- a pharmacy rating curve. I'm happy to return here, always. The pharmacy has done a good job transferring RX's and working with a doctor in another state to get a new Authorization on a longterm RX. Just a simple NSAID RX, but because it's so expensive (yeah healthcare market and 19 year old drug since patent date!) I've found out the staff to be pretty helpful. Even the pharmacy gal that I had the experience with covered below and been basically nice and pretty much very professional. I feel like it's sort of a California thing to speak over the customer so I don't care. HOWEVER, the pharmacy aid "lied" and said my prescription couldn't be filled because it was rejected for coverage. I had to ask her to let me speak because she kept talking over me. I briefly explained the authorization process that took place the day prior. So she "pushed" resubmit. However, she couldn't leave it at that. It was the blame game of oh, they're supposed to tell us to resubmit. I don't care. I do care about being told something wrong about the insurance coverage. Most people would have freaked out and then spent time trying to resolve with their insurance company before then calling back the pharmacy. read more

The manager here is a DICK. Wouldn't sell us an item and was rude about it...I understand if an item may not yet be in the system but don't put it on the shelves and then rudely tell us we can't buy it. read more

Pharmacy closed for 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon for lunch break seems like a poor staffing model. Certainly not a customer friendly approach. We switched to this location for better service, now reconsidering. read more

Walgreens - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

Poor customer service. Tried to exchange an item on my wellness card (lost receipt), disgrunted frowning employee tried to look up and said no no no. Too bad basically. Paid full price for the item i was trying to exchange for. I called customer service and walah! Theres my item. Went back into the store, was passed over to a manager who defends the employee against how he made me feel uncomfortable for returning without a receipt because hes "known him long enough". Guess thats more important than how the customer feels treated. Turns out they cant look up on your wellness card if it was from another store.... even though wellness number works at EVERY walgreens. I had origionally said it was from another store! I only wanted an exchange! This place pissed me off. Fail on customer service. Was never thanked for my purchase and made to feel like I was the asshole here! I expected more from you, Walgreens. read more

...I've been coming here for over 25 years and feel very qualified to give this feedback. This is being directed to "Kasey" the pharmacist. She should not have any customer contact at all - as she is unprofessional, extremely rude, and no real sense of customer service. Just so everyone knows - when they say they don't have a prescription order from your doctor, it is probably hung up in their computer que as they don't empty their prescription inbox frequently enough to get customers prescriptions - they even admit it - even "Kasey!!" When Brad is there he keeps things in better shape but generally speaking - service from the pharmacy has been deteriorating for a while. Sad to say - because this store is very convenient for me - but it's just not worth it to me anymore... I spend probably a few thousand dollars a year there - but no more. Kenya, the store manager could use some lessons in courtesy and customer service also - he used to be helpful but now is acquiring the same attitude unfortunately. Can I make this zero stars?! :-( Do I think Kasey or Kenya even care about this kind of feedback? ... probably not... maybe a letter to corporate would be more effective... read more

They have the best pharmacy you can ask for, between Brad, Debbie, Ken, the lady with the Jamaican accent (never got her name) and the rest. I've never encountered a more professional, competent band of pharmacists/pharmacy techs. The store's also nicely clean, well stocked, offer varied merchandise. read more

A brand new Walgreens built from the ground up but still the same old service. They built a drive up window and usually have only ONE person running between the counter and the window. Terrible customer service. Be prepared to wait !! read more

Walgreens, Encina Walnut Creek. For me this pharmacy was a three star before their move down the row to their new building, it is now barely two stars. Today was a common experience for me. I dropped off a prescription at 9am, was asked if I planned to wait, "no" I said, "how long until I can come back for it?" "30 minutes," she says. I came back just over an hour later at about 10:15, not ready no explanation. My wife dropped by at 2pm., five hours after the original "30 min." estimate. You guessed it, still not ready. She waited another 30 min. while it was filled. Still no explanation, just a shrug and "sorry." This is not an isolated experience, this has become common practice at this particular Walgreens. I think the people up front give the 30 min. time to everyone no matter the situation, I would have much preferred the 5 hr. estimate to save me frustration and an extra trip. There seems to be no communication between the front and the back, there is no one available to come up front to help when there are a number of people waiting, and very slow. As I have already stated, service at this pharmacy has gone from OK to not good at all. The staff is professional enough but way understaffed and no real understanding of how their own systems are not working for the customer, more training required. Operation in the rest of the store has dropped in similar ways, it used to be a more friendly place, employees now do not seem happy or as well trained, I am guessing a management change has occurred. Consider CVS in the Cottonwood shopping center. read more
