The staff at this location has got to be THE most miserable, pains in the asses, childish ONE individual I've ever come accross ever. This woman really needs to embrace the phrase "let it go". Several months ago in this same location which also happens to be ONE of two 24 hour pharmacies open in ALL OF LOS ANGELES. I will be the first to admit that I on this particular occasion acted out and below my current age and had a bit of a tantrum, rightly so considering the circumstances. Due to this I was "banned" from this Walgreens. Fast forward to 6 months later and a totally different manager that I didn't recognize told me that he was told I was banned from the store. Every time I come here, they don't have what I'm looking for and always always aaaalways theres a long line at the registry because my bad luck there's a client before me with a bunch of stuff or with a problem with a coupon and takes forever. We've had problems twice when trying to get prescriptions refilled. It appears that the day staff do not follow through on the notes left by the night staff, who cannot reach the insurance company after regular business hours. Staff have also neglected to call us when a prescription is ready (they were waiting for approval and said they would call as soon as it was ready). These days, there are so many options for picking up prescriptions...how can a pharmacy afford to have such bad customer service? read more

They tell u there is a delay, but the actual delay is thy never call your insurance company or doctor if there is a problem. I guess they assume if they wait a day or 2 it'll get authorized. Do yourself a favor and ask "why is it delayed" and immediately call whoever they say they are waiting for, I assure you the pharmacy will not follow through. You can look at my other reviews to verify - I only write negative reviews if there is one specific employee that does something that I believe should not go undealt with. I spoke to my doctor yesteday at around 2pm and he told that me my perscription was sent to this Walgreens and should be ready for pickup later in the day. I called at around 11pm on my way home from work and sat on hold for 14 minutes (no joke). When someone finally answered (a Pharmacist or assitant named HARRY), they were unbelievably short and rude. First of all, they answered the phone with "Hello". No mention of Walgreens Pharamacy or the fact that I was calling a business. I told him I was calling to check if my perscription was ready and gave him my name. He "searched" for maybe 15 seconds and replied "there's nothing ready here" and then radio silence. I said "okay... do you have a record of any call made by my doctor?" to which he replied "I don't know, I'm just telling you, theres nothing here for you". I told him how unhappy I was with his attitude and seemingly lackluster attempt at finding my perscription and hung up. I called back to speak to a manager and get his name. Harry needs to learn how to speak to customers. He is making the company look bad when he answers the phone and treats customers this way. Even worse, I called my doctor this morning and they said that it was most definitely called in the day before. They then called the pharmacy for me and called me back saying that the perscription has been ready for pickup since yesterday (long before Harry told me there was nothing there). So basically he didn't want to actually check and just lied so that he wouldnt have to deal with it. I have been coming to this Walgreens for years since its right around the corner from my house. I will be transfering my perscriptions to the CVS a block further. I would musch rather drive an extra block than deal with such horrible customer service. read more

As much as I try to spend in the community when I come to the pharmacy there's always a longggggg wait. You would think there's just a few working but often there's a lot of folks working...just really slow. The store overall is okay. Prices seem high for most. This review is for the pharmacy. I'm not sure what happened within the last couple of months but I swear the pharmacy has gotten backed up. There is always a line/wait. I'm talking about just to pick up my already ordered prescription . If I want to turn in a prescription and wait for it , that's an additional 45 min wait. What gives? I don't mind waiting but beef up the pharmacy staff at least because I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed the wait times recently. read more

Worst pharmacy. They are such idiots it's concerning. They tell me my meds are ready when they aren't. They tell me a certain medication is no longer available so i get another and they end up giving me the one i asked for in the first place. I always have to go back at least 4-5 times before they get it right. They don't know what they are doing, they give me the wrong information, and it's really simple stuff. I don't know why such simple things can get so confusing besides them being idiots. It's probably only a few people that I've had to deal with it gives everyone there a bad rep now. Lucia is such a great person she's always filled with joy and happiness and I'm always in a better mood when I see her and she so helpful! If I could give this ZERO stars, I would. I went in late at night with a friend hoping to pick up some toiletry items, after realizing I could pickup cheaper items at Walmart, I decided to leave. The employee told me that "I had an item in my hand" accusing me of thief. I showed him my hands were empty. This was the rudest employee I have ever met. Had the lady that work at the store retake the picture once because it wasn't that good and then while we are waiting for picture in hearing distance she is complaining about it. Really? We only go to this Walgreens as it is close to home and our insurance prefers we use Walgreens for RX. Otherwise, we wouldn't come here. Always a long wait for pharmacy as they are understaffed and they make sure and tell you when you're irritable but yet they never hire more people.... and with the mark up on scripts you think they could hire someone. Recently our doctor called in a script for our daughter and she had to call 3 times and kept getting the voicemail so she left. Message with the script. Hours later I have a script for me called in by a different doctor and my husband goes to pick it up when I get the text that it's done. He asks about my daughter's and they say "oh we haven't had a chance to check our voicemails probably tomorrow". Are you kidding me? People need meds so doctors call in and they don't make it a priority? And tells my husband how understaffed they are. So it wasn't ready til mid day the next day! Unacceptable! My one year old daughter went without what she needed because Walgreens Pharmacy doesn't staff correctly and apparently didn't give a shit about scripts waiting to be filled. This is your ONE job. And it actually affects sick people when you don't do it. If you can't have a sense of urgency then perhaps this line of work is not for you! read more

You know how when you have the flu, and have had it for 5 days and finally go to urgent care because you can't breathe, the last thing you want to do is wait in the pharmacy with everyone else in LA with the flu? Well then don't come here. They said 25 min to fill my prescription and they would text when ready. Just for clarification, this review is directed towards the pharmacy not the actual store. My first time getting a prescription filled at an outside pharmacy so I chose this location since it's closer to my home. I called ahead of time to make sure they carry this particular medication in stock. Spoke with a pharmacy tech who confirmed they don't carry it in stock but can order the medication and have it the next day. So I head to the pharmacy with hard copy prescription in hand. Speak with a guy at the front and I made sure to make myself clear that I need the brand NOT the generic and that I was willing to pay full price out of pocket. He writes in large caps on the actual prescription "Brand!" He says the pharmacist says they can order it and have it in the next day. Relief, or so I thought. I get an automated call the next morning saying my prescription was ready. Great! I go after work to pick up and they were trying to give me generic. I did my best to keep my cool and not make a scene. It was not this poor girl's fault so I didn't want to take it out on her, but frustration was really kicking in. I look behind me at a long line of people waiting so as to not hold them up I asked for my original prescription so that I can have it filled elsewhere. The girl at the front was understanding and even tried to look it up online. Then she tells me that according to her this medication has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Am I high? Was it literally just discontinued or did they not even bother checking yesterday to see if this could be ordered or not? Liars! It was extremely important that I get this medication on this day because I needed to start it the very next day. When things are time sensitive like this, incompetence is unacceptable. I can't believe that a company like this would allow such a lack of professionalism to represent them. I'll never go here again for pharmacy needs. read more

This pharmacy takes longer then any pharmacy I have ever been to. They are the worst! Regardless if you go in or use the drive through the employees are so slow and don't know how to manage a line. One time I was waiting and they took someone behind me first because she was there to get a shot. The pharmacist had to contact her insurance and asked her to complete paperwork. All I wanted to do was pick up a prescription that was READY AND I was in front of her. Never been so annoyed until I waited in my car for 30 minutes for them to help 3 cars in front of me. I have lived around the corner of this Walgeens for years and the staff never changes, i presume they are happy well treated employees! recently i witnessed a very elderly customer there needing assistance and watched as a sweet employee of the camera department go out of her way to pay close attention to him and i always feel these employees go above and beyond to smile be helpful and attentive., Also i have noticed that walgreens does not discriminate and people with pink hair or a unique style are happily employed, i will keep going here for all my basic necessities read more

When we had our newborn, the nurses told us we could use a syringe to give him some formula when milk was not enough, and they told us that the best way is to measure quantity with a syringe and feed him with that syringe. When I walked to their pharmacy (4AM) and asked for a syringe, the look I got made me feel like they are judging me, and that they think that I am a drug addict. They asked for a prescription. So I explained the situation and they said that they only had insulin syringes, which would not work. They basically refused to sell me a syringe. So I think to myself that they maybe have something in baby food isle, that would work. And sure enough. There are syringes made for this actual reason with four sizes to choose from in a single syringe. So I bought that one. It sucks that being tired and trying to buy a syringe automatically makes people think you are trying to use narcotics. read more

If you want the slowest service a pharmacy can offer please go to this Walgreens. It's an extremely busy pharmacy, all the time, and it has been this busy for years but yet management hasn't figured out a way to speed up the process. You'd think they would have hired a couple of more employees already but no. No such luck. If you call to find out if your prescription has been filled you will be on the phone for 20 minutes only to have them put you on hold again. As far as the store goes, I've had to walk around the store looking for a cashier so I can pay for some milk I stopped by to for. Not the most convenient of convenient stores either. Was having a serious issue with a medication in the middle of the night, tried calling their pharmacy and was on old for almost an hour. Hung up, called back, and got one of their "customer service" people who said that the pharmacist was at "lunch" (this was at 2:32 AM) and would be back by 2:15 AM???? How can you refer to this as a 24 hour pharmacy, if there is no pharmacist available and the "customer service" person can't even tell time!!! Plus, you can call-in a prescription with this pharmacy and 90% of the time they either don't have it ready, or when you go to pick it up they tell you they are out of stock! I really appreciate the store being open 24 hours - it's very helpful if someone in the family feels sick in the middle of the night. I also like that they have a variety of neat gadgets - such as the "As Seen On TV" aisle. I've gotten a salad chopper and a foldable table from there, which have proven quite handy! My one qualm with the store is the actual pharmacy - it seems understaffed and the wait is a long one and getting a prescription transferred from another pharmacy was a hassle. This pharmacy is ridiculously understaffed, and the wait time is ridiculous. I used to go to a Ralphs pharmacy in Santa Monica before I moved to Valley Village. I don't think I ever had to wait more than 10 minutes at Ralphs. This Walgreens Pharmacy is the exact opposite. The first time I went there, I lucked out. Walked right up to the counter and handed over my prescription. The tech said they'd text when it was ready, and I left. Easy! The next day, I came back, and picked up my prescription. I had to wait maybe five minutes. I loved the fact that I could refill my prescription online, and pick it up at the drive thru. Very convenient! Of course, those first couple of visits were at about 10 in the morning on a weekday, and that made a huge difference. That was six months ago. These days I hit the pharmacy after work, which is an understandably busy time. Nevertheless, the wait seemed longer each time. Ten minutes, then 15. Then close to 20. I would stand there and watch, and try to figure out why it was taking so long. You find the baggie with the customer's name on it, scan it, and take their money. It shouldn't take any longer than the cashiers in the front of the store. After all, the cashiers in the front have to ring up more merchandise, bag it, and check IDs. At the pharmacy it's rarely more than an item or two. I couldn't figure out what was taking so long. It wasn't that the people were having long consultations with the pharmacist. One time I went there, and there were six or seven of us in line, two people running the register, and one guy helping people at the drive thru. One of the pharmacists made a pissy comment about how the techs were supposed to be helping him fill prescriptions, not standing at the registers. The tech very politely answered that they'd been told to ring customers up. She showed a lot of restraint. I wanted to get up in the guy's face and have him explain to me why it was more important to fill prescriptions for customers who were NOT present, than to do so for those of us who had been standing in line for 15 minutes. That's bullcrap. Yesterday, I went to drop off a new prescription. There is no reason why you should ever have to stand in line to drop off a prescription. You should be able hand over the paper and leave. It should take less than a minute. When I got to Walgreens, there was one lady in front of me in line, and one lady in her car at the drive through. Fifteen minutes later, there was still one lady in front of me in line, and one lady at the drive through. A guy had jumped the line, saying he'd been told it would take 30 minutes to fill his prescription and he had been waiting for two hours. At that precise moment, I realized I'd had enough. I tucked my prescription back in my pocket and took my business elsewhere. Despite the text service, the online refills, and the drive through window, this is the single most INconvenient pharmacy I've ever been to. I'm finished with the place. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. Employees and managers are lazy and act like you bother them if you have a question. If their crappy attitude is not enough of a bullying technique to deter your question, then their next line of defense to deter your from further speaking with them is to never know any answers about anything asked (such as basic questions about availability of products or pharmacy services). Finally, if you are truly so desperate for answers that you will continue to try elicit information from these living, breathing people with a lack of any desire to be helpful, they will hand you off to another employee who will give you the same treatment. I will never be back to this location on account of how I was just disrespectfully treated by a customer service associate by the name of Courtney. Not only does she not know how to do math, but she has absolutely no business working around people in the customer service industry. She is quite possibly the most unprofessional customer service associate I have ever dealt with in a pharmacy/drugstore. I came in to pick up 15 photos and was in Walgreens for over 25 minutes and left with zero photos. Upon arrival, I walked in the door, noticed that nobody was in the photo booth so I asked the associate at the checkout stand, Courtney if she or any other person could help me in the photo booth. At that point, I could already tell that I was inconveniencing her. I thought that was her job, to help customers when they ask questions. Especially when she has nobody in her checkout line. I walk over to the Photo Booth & wait about 5 to 7 minutes for somebody to arrive. I was told that my order had been separated into two separate batches. I did not request this. I noticed that two photos were cropped & asked them to be reprinted in their original format & that I would still pay for the originals. The photo associate was more than happy to help me. He reprinted the two photos & accidentally printed 3. I told him that I would take the third photo if he was just going to throw it in the garbage. He said he was unable to print a new receipt for the reprinted photos. He hand wrote the total amount on my receipt & asked me to go to the checkout line. This is when the disaster with Ms. Attitude really began. I mentioned to Courtney about the re-printing issue & the hand written total was from the photo associate. With her nasty attitude and rolling of her eyes, she said "Oh no, I need to go help him figure out this problem because this will show up under my name in the computer and that's just not OK". I said, "no problem, please do what you need to do to fix it". About 10-12 minutes go by, three associates in the photo booth later, & Courtney decides to walk back once again with attitude & rolling of the eyes as if I have done something to inconvenience her. I should have already walked out at that point, but wanted to give her one last chance at redemption. She then asked me if I would pay for the third photo that was reprinted. I tell her exactly what occurred and that I was given the third photo by the photo associate so that it did not get thrown in the trash, and because it was the error of a Walgreens associate and not my error I wasn't to be charged. She says, "oh no, you have to pay for that." I told her that I thought that policy was ridiculous that they would rather throw away a family photo than to just give the customer a $.40 photo that was re-printed in their error. She then said that they are recycled and put with the sensitive documents from the pharmacy. I immediately questioned what she was talking about. I asked her "Do you mean it will be shredded? That is not recycling a photo. That is destroying a photo. That is exactly what I said was wrong with your policy." She proceeds to scream over my head to a coworker asking what a specific bin is called that these photos are thrown into. Unprofessional. She acknowledged that she used the wrong words & then proceeded to say, "OK, do you want to buy the envelope as well?" Now that is when I began to lose my cool. Is she really asking me if I want to pay for the envelope that I was given to hold my photos?!? I then asked to speak with a manager and expressed to Courtney that I am absolutely apalled at her service and the fact that I've been standing in line now for 25 minutes to pick up a total of 15 photos and all that she is worried about is this error showing up "under her name". I expressed to her that it is not my problem what shows up under her name on the Walgreens computer. That is something that she can take up with her manager at the end of her shift, not with me standing there for 25 minutes. I also questioned why she would be charging me for an envelope that is complementary. She then tried to say, "Oh, I was just asking if you knew that there were two separate envelopes you needed to pay for." Yet again Courtney speaks incorrectly & blames me. That makes absolutely no sense. Why would she even ask me that question? Is she now going to ask me if I understand that I have 4 sodas on the counter & to make sure that I want to pay for them all in one order & not in four separate transactions? By this time the manager arrives, & says not one word. She lets her associate storm away with her hands thrown up in the air & mumbling words under her breath. At that point, with no acknowledgment from the manager I asked for Courtneys name since nobody in the store is wearing a name tag. Absolutely no response from the manager. So I asked again with obvious tone in my voice. She answered with one word, Courtney. At that point, I was glad to leave & never return. read more

Consistently, reliably, the worst pharmacy ever. I've had the same, life saving prescription for nearly two years, I think it's been filled correctly 4 times. Every single other time it's been mishandled, with a list of excuses as long as your arm every time. Half hour waits in the drive up line, poorly managed, careless staff, and the pharmacy is woefully understaffed on top of it all. "Walgreens brand" substituted for many major brands which are readily available at any supermarket. Despite it being minutes from my house, I am moving my records and business quite literally ANYWHERE else. A horror. read more

Regrettably I have had the same experience as many others at the pharmacy. While the majority of the employees have been nice enough (with a few exceptions) I truly believe that these people are just overworked and understaffed. It is incredible that Walgreens as a company won't do the right thing and simply hire additional support where it is clearly needed. I have gone to the pharmacy at all hours of the day & night to see if the service would be better and sadly it's the same across the board. I have waited well over 45 mins for a prescription before, both inside and outside at the drive thru. It makes me sad to see the pharmacist and the employees behind the counter getting yelled at by customer after customer. While I would never do that myself I do feel the frustration of having to wait so incredibly long when there is a simple solution. Walgreens, get it together, support your employees and hire the additional help needed at your stores!!! read more

I lost interest shopping at Walgreens in general as the chain doesn't have good reward program as compared with CVS or Rite Aid. Ii did sign up for the Walgreens reward program and have yet to figure out how it works. Prior to launching their reward program, Walgreens gave away free stuff on a monthly basis. All we had to do was to purchase the advertising free items, pay for them and then fill out the rebate form and mail them in. If we selected to get the reward dollars loaded on the walgreen cards, we would get an extra 10% which was enough to cover the sales taxes so we got them items absolutely free. The reward cards didn't expire, we didn't have to buy things that we didn't want just to redeem the reward dollars we earned. This program seemed to go away and I started going to CVS that offer better deals. Nevertheless, I still stop by at this Walgreens on my way to the LA Fitness down the street. This Walgreens seem to replenish the merchandise faster than the other store and the sales items are often available. Other than those that are advertised on the flyers, this store often offer marked down items and the discounts are amazingly good. I got many pair of flip flops at 10% of the original prices at the end of the summer. I walked in to get some over the counter medicine last weekend and found the Hawaiian dinner rolls (12) on sales for 99 cents a pack and the expiration date is 10 days away. another draw for the store is the photo service. I send my pics to the store, receive the email confirmations and pick them up. There has never been any problem. read more
