would not shop at this Walgreen. It's a poorly run store. Went to the store and was greeted by a hostile store female stocking clerk (one with glass and point tail, wearing light blue T-shirt) when asking her about the items was showing in-stock in store website. Not sure what's the hostility, when you are there to shop. Will not go back to the store ever with this type altitude from Walgreen employee. This Walgreens is by far the worst Walgreens I have ever been to in terms of their pharmacy. I had nonstop issues with their pharmacy. 1. Was notified that they didn't have my medication available so they would need to order it, which i was okay. However, 5 days later when I called, they said its now backordered and they don't know when it will be available. A call would have been nice? 2. I asked them if my medication had been approved by my insurer and they replied no. I called my insurance company and they said it has been, so to tell the pharmacy to simply run it. I call the Walgreens pharmacy and direct them as indicated and it goes through. (But remember they don't have my medication?) 3. I ask the pharmacy where else they would have it and they let me know of the nearest location. I go to the next location to which they tell me they don't have the TAR number....so i explain my situation. We call this pharmacy and they say "i don't know". read more

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star, but since I had to just to write a review then so be it. First of all, I called before going and the person who answered the phone told me that they had a western union. I end up driving there, and found out that I had to do the western union via computer that they provided. So there were only like 3 or 4 people working, and I needed help with the computer. The cashier up front told me to ask the people at the photo center for help, so I did just that. I had asked the person working the photo center, and she goes "Oh I don't know how to do that." And just walks back behind the counter. I thought that she was going to ask someone else to help me, but she just started up a conversation with another employee about her weekend plans. I didn't care about the fact that she didn't know what to do, but to be as rude as to not even try to get someone to help me just pissed me off. She's very lucky that I wasn't going to ruin the rest of my night by wasting it on her because if I had given her the time of day, she most likely would've been crying under my foot! Hopefully the next time I go here, my experience is much better. read more

Definitely don't go to this Walgreens! There is a new CVS right down the street now or other places nearby like Target. These people are so rude! I just left here about a 1/2 hour ago. So, I get what I needed which required a basket to carry it in. I get up the counter and clearly unload my basket. Everything on the counter - the cashier asks me over her shoulder basically how I was doing and I told her "great" and asked her how she was doing - and she doesn't even respond. Whatever... I'm not really there to chit chat - just wanna get my stuff and take off. So - she rings everything up, I pay her... and she just turns around. So, I'm waiting.. and waiting... and she finally turns back to me and says "have a nice evening" in a "yeah I know what you want but I'm not going to have any consideration to ask you" type attitude. I asked her politely "can I have a bag please"? She responds all snotty.. "bags are ten cents". I said okay - put a quarter on the counter - and she just stares at me like I'm a retard. So, I ask her "couldn't you have just mentioned that in advance"? She just stares at me.. no response. "Yes... No" shaking my head back and forth...? Nothing... crickets chirping... So - I asked her if she thought it might be a good idea to have a sign letting customers know. Again... the stare... but finally I got a bag.. whoo hooo!! But no response. How rude. I mean seriously.. we have a ton of options of where to go. It's not like we are in the middle of the Mojave and this is the only Walgreens or other stores like CVS in a 200 mile radius. When someone walks up to the counter with a basket or shopping cart obviously they are going to need a bag or bags. So just say something up front instead of trying to belittle them and then refuse to engage them in a conversation. Do they really think after you spend 50 bucks that you care about a dime or two? This store seriously needs new management because by the looks of it by other reviews this condescending attitude starts at the top and flows right on down. After visiting the beach for what was supposed to be a few pictures and a few moments of silence I ended up getting attacked and soaked by a wave at the crazy early hours of the morning. My pants were soaked and I had zero other clothes with me so I looked up a 24 hr Walgreens hoping they had something for me to wear last minute since I needed to make my flight at 6am. I got lucky they had leggings and I got them. They're slightly see through but my shirt is long enough to cover important parts. What was upsetting was the restrooms weren't at all available to paying customers after midnight. The two stars goes to the pharmacy only they're always kind and understanding. Don't get me wrong. The store is clean but when you approach the actual employees and get closer they look like they just saw a dead body and it's talking to them. So they stutter out an answer that you can hardly hear and you and gtfo (let's hope you know what that means). When I go in I just make sure I know what I want so I don't have to ask any questions and I pay in the pharmacy. With as many times as I've actually been there I've only been greeted once and it scared me...like who says hello anymore? Talk about rude. She was super sweet and go figure, no longer there. P.S.: If you go at the wrong time be prepared to wait in long lines. My experience at this Walgreens was ok. Due to this craze about how bad the flu is currently, I decided to go get the flu shot. I called ahead of time to make sure this Walgreens location had flu shots, and they do. I asked them how much it costs and they told me $31.99. The flu shot is on the pricier side, but I figured it's best to get it now, than worrying about flu shots running out. I went in, and had to give some information to them at the pharmacy counter. They had me wait about 10 minutes before they got me some paper work to fill out, and pay for my flu shot. Then I waited another 15 minutes for a nurse to call me in to get my shot. She gave me the shot without much pain. :) So as you can see my experience was A-OK. It wasn't spectacular, but I would definitely come here to get my flu shot. I'm surprised by all of the bad reviews, but I guess my experience has mainly to do with getting my flu shot. You don't need any appointments, but you should come expecting to wait some time for a flu shot. read more

Sophie in the pharmacy department, always remembers me and my family, and immediately prepares our medications as soon as she sees us. The Walgreens app makes ordering refills so much easier. This is the worst Walgreens I've been to. The pharmacist manager is an old, bitter man. He started yelling at his employee in front of everyone for a simple mistake. I called to get a refill and they told me to come to the pharmacy. I drove 25 minutes to get to this location. When the "manager" talked to me, he started speaking in a condescending voice. He was raising his voice on me and speaking to me as if I was his little child or animal. He refused to do any service even though I told him I was told to come to this pharmacy. His tone was very demeaning to me. I told him to speak properly to customers and he has no right to use a tone like that. I left the pharmacy and called Walgreens customer service and they said they will take my complaint to "corporate". I've been refilling my prescriptions with them for over a year. The customer service is horrible at all locations but one I used to go to when I was in Florida. I'm changing my pharmacy to somewhere else. This company is just sickening. read more

We drove from San Pedro just for my RX and when we get to the drive thru pharmacy we sit behind two cars for more than 30 minutes!! So we manage to get out of the line and go inside which is still a line there too... The man at the counter seemed fairly nice my husband went up while I stayed behind but he forgot my insurance card and since I've never been there they needed it So he walked out and we tried the drive thru again this time nobody was there but still the line was long once the man helped us he was nice and tried to help We found out he is working alone why would they staff only one person to. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RX BEFORE LEAVING THE COUNTER!! Shorted on medication and charged full price, TWICE. I understand insurance was only billed for what was supplied, but my copay remained the same. Who on earth would pay full copay for 1/3 of their Rx? Most people probably don't notice until they get home and don't bother going back, but I have been burned here before so I always check! I hate when people do that and it makes me not want to go back. Also a lot of thing at Walgreen's is way over priced. You can get it cheaper at target or your local grocery store. This review is for the pharmacists. I don't understand why every time I ask these people a question they condescend to me. Yes I can read the prescription information paper, you don't need to read it to me. What I need you to do is answer my questions that you are there to answer when I have never used this sort or medication before. You're the pharmacist. Also, Why can't you retain my insurance information? Other past experiences that should have tipped me off are receiving the third degree when filling a new prescription. I have been asked at least threes times in the past four months, " what are you taking this for"? What the fuck does it matter? Just fill the prescription! How dare you question me! Located along Sepulveda and western, this walgreens is huge and open 24/7. There is a redbox located inside and it has a great selection of products. The pharmacy usually doesn't have any lines and all of the employees are usually helpful! Also, there is ample parking, but the issue is just leaving around rush hour!! read more

Yes I know its long, but worth the read: This was my first time in this store and the employee named Teresa was so rude to myself and my significant other because of his service dog. She walked up to us and asked us to put our service dog named Ranger in a cart instead of letting him walk around because she said it is against the law to allow any animals to walk inside of Walgreens. I told her that owners are allowed to be accompanied by their service animals in any public space where the owner is allowed. Ranger was not wearing a service dog vest at the time because he had just received medicine at the base of his neck and we did not want to irritate the area. The employee Teresa then asked to see some type of identification for Ranger and said that it is required by law that he wear a service vest which is in COMPLETE VIOLATION of federal ADA laws that say, a business "May ask ONLY (1) if animal is required due to disability and (2) what tasks it is trained to perform. May not require documentation or proof of certification or licensing. 28 C.F.R. § 35.136(f) (2010)." We know what our rights are and this employee clearly crossed the line and was talking to another employee obviously very loudly saying "Arent service dogs required by law to wear a vest?" to which the other employee answered "yes". I have NEVER been so disrespected while in a store because of our service dog. They were trying to make us look bad as if we were just trying to skirt the law. Then another employee started following behind us for no reason, just staring at Ranger. Mind you my dog is house trained and is trained to sit at our feet when we stop walking, he was in no way unruly or out of hand. Our service dog has all of his paperwork from my significant others doctor saying that he is indeed in need of a service animal. Also, Why would your employee suggest that you put any type of animal in a grocery cart, knowing that people put their food in those? That is a very unsanitary practice that is being suggested at your store. Walgreens needs to address this issue with their very rude employee and update her on the laws regarding service animals. read more
