The workers at this pharmacy location are all very helpful and nice every time I call regarding a prescription. It doesn't typically take long to get a hold of someone at the pharmacy via phone call. Typically, prescriptions are ready within the same day I call or the following day. I use the drive thru for pickup and there is either no line or the line moves efficiently. Unfortunately at times, this pharmacy is temporarily closed which is an inconvenience when I am in need of picking up a prescription so I have to use other locations. read more

If you live in the Oakbrook or Ladson area of Summerville, this Walgreens at the corner of Ladson and Dorchester is easily one of the most well-run pharmacies in the Lowcountry. While pharmacy visits can often be a source of stress, the team at this location consistently goes above and beyond to make the experience seamless. The Pharmacy Experience The pharmacy staff here are the true stars. Even during peak hours, they remain professional, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. I've had several instances where my insurance had a hiccup or a prescription needed a quick clarification from my doctor, and the pharmacists worked tirelessly to resolve it while I waited. Drive-Thru Efficiency: The drive-thru window is a lifesaver for parents with kids in the car or when you're just not feeling well. They move the line quickly without making you feel rushed. Proactive Communication: The text alerts for refills are always accurate, and I rarely ever find that my medication isn't ready when they say it will be. Store Layout & Essentials Beyond the pharmacy, the retail side is always clean and exceptionally organized. One-Stop Shop: It's my go-to for high-quality beauty supplies, seasonal decor, and those last-minute "forgotten" grocery items like milk or eggs. Photo Department: I've used their photo lab for everything from passport photos to holiday cards, and the quality is consistently high with a very fast turnaround time. FedEx Convenience: Having the FedEx Drop-off and Pickup here is a huge bonus. You can print labels from a QR code and drop off packages while you're already running errands. Customer Service What really sets this location apart is the "small-town" feel in a busy area. The front-end staff usually recognizes regulars and always greets you with a smile. It's clear that management prioritizes customer care, which makes a big difference in the overall vibe of the store. Pro Tips for This Location Pharmacy Lunch Break: Just a reminder that the pharmacy usually closes for a meal break (typically 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM), so plan your pickup around that! Walgreens App: Use the app to "clip" coupons before you go--I've saved a ton on vitamins and household cleaners just by scanning my phone at checkout. read more

My mother spent nearly half the day in the ER suffering from severe chest pains. The doctor urgently prescribed pain medication and called it in to this Walgreens location. In agonizing pain, she tried desperately to reach the pharmacy all afternoon--calling repeatedly and waiting on hold for hours--but no one ever answered the phone. When I finally got off work and rushed over, arriving right at 6:00 PM (their posted closing time), the pharmacy was already dark and completely shut down, as if they'd closed much earlier. I politely explained the critical situation--that my mother was at home in excruciating pain after chest pain serious enough to require an ER visit--and begged them to fill the prescription. The pharmacist, Joanne, gave me a cold, sour glare and snapped, "You'll have to come back tomorrow," with zero empathy or concern for a patient in medical distress. No apology, no attempt to help, no acknowledgment of the urgency--just dismissive, rude, and utterly heartless. This kind of cruel indifference when someone is suffering is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a healthcare professional. My mom had to endure unnecessary agony all night because of this. Do not trust this location with urgent prescriptions--especially if Joanne is on duty. One star only because zero isn't an option. read more

Our Pharmacist Joanne was the absolute smartest , nicest Pharmacist we have ever experienced ... Walgreens has a new dedicated customer

Have been coming to this location for prescriptions for the last 3 years and during all that time I can say it is got to be the ONE pharmacy in SC where the heroes that work there are all very knowledgeable and courteous, understanding and compassionate with every customer. Never had a problem and their phone system works flawlessly, leaving messages when prescriptions are ready 12 stars to everyone that works here, keep up the good job read more

While not the primary reason for stopping at Walgreens, it should be noted that the bathroom is absolutely disgusting. Needs attention.

Walgreens stores have always been my go-to for printing pictures and purchasing gift cards. I use their mobile app to order pictures and I get a notification when they are ready. It's super inexpensive. They will also reprint the pictures if you're not satisfied with how they turn out. They offer a nice selection of gift cards. They have a better variety than many other stores. The prices for other items--beauty products, household items, food, etc. are higher than Walmart. But you're paying for the convenience. It's always well lit and organized. It's easy to navigate around the store. The aisles are wide. read more

The Pharmacist working at the Trolley Road location on the evening of June 26 was extremely rude and not helpful at all. I have used this Pharmacy for 15 years now and never experienced such an issue. she did not even attempt to help me after I had been at the ER with my husband for 4 hours. We came straight there to try to get his meds. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes and a store employee asked if I needed help. I said I needed to get a med filled. she then came over and said they cut off at 8:30, it was 8:33 and I had been waiting since 8:25. she then told me she saw me come in and it was not. Really? if you saw me then you could of ack me. she was rude and condescending. I am a health care worker and this was unacceptable read more

This is your typical Walgreen's. They aren't the largest, but they have a big selection of items. The store is clean, but trying to find someone to help you is nearly impossible. There is usually only one person at check out and the line moves so slow. It's in a good location to get in/out and on your way, so I will continue to use this location for small items I need quickly. read more

Spoke to a young lady at 3:59 about prescription. Stated it would be ready in an hour. Went to pharmacy at 5:30 and pharmacy was closed. Ridiculous. Needed my medication and guess what I'm out of luck. read more

When CVS failed to fill my prescription, they were on top of it. No problems, no rude people. 5/5 recommend. Helpful staff

This Walgreens has really went downhill lately!! I had a 30 day refill that they fought me on and said I had to wait 31 days only to be closed on Sunday!! The pharmacy has been closed a lot lately so after this refill we will no longer be returning! I usually would never leave a bad review but at this point the pharmacy doesn't deserve a good review!! They need to hire more pharmacist, I have a friend that is a pharmacist and they said they are not hiring, yet they have had the pharmacy closed 3 days in the last month. read more

I stopped in here to pick up some gift cards for Christmas. I like that they have a huge selection of restaurants and retail stores. I appreciated that the cashier asked to see my DL and card since I was buying multiple cards. Easy in and out experience. read more

The Walgreens, Store #9998 is by far the best Walgreens in the world. I have been to the one in Walterboro and they were rude, incompetent and lazy! Awful place, I live in Cottageville but yet I go to this Walgreens (9998) on Dorchester for all my prescriptions. They are right on and very quick and very friendly. I must mention that there is a lady there by the name of Sabrina who is the bomb! She is over the top willing to help and knows her stuff. She is the reason this place runs so well!! Also the pharmacist, Steve, is wonderful. He's been my pharmacist for years. I will not go to any other Walgreens. THey just don't add up to this one. Even the ones I have been to in other states? Can't hold a candle to these people, friendly, know their job and go above and beyond. Love Walgreens on 9998 Dorchester Road. read more

Very bad customer service. I went to the store the lady was very rude. And they didn't even fill my prescription and made me wait 40 mins

This Walgreens is fabulous. They carry all the things that most Walgreens carry. What makes them fabulous is the staff. The folks in the front of the store are courteous and helpful. The pharmacy staff is exceptional. The techs are well trained and knowledgeable about insurance issues and will proactively use discount cards on behalf of customers to save us money. They treat everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of their socioeconomic status. The pharmacist Steve is a caring knowledgeable compassionate man who is always available for a consultation or question. These guys do what they do because they care. read more

Staff is always very helpful and courteous. I've had a few times when I couldn't find something and they didn't hesitate to drop what they were doing and find it for me. Always a great experience! read more
