CVS is absolutely my favorite drugstore ever. It's always my one stop shop for beauty, health, snacks, prescriptions, greeting cards and last minute gifts. Most people start off their conversations with negative things to say about CVS but I find that their sales are awesome and the Extrabucks Rewards is an incentive for me to shop and save even more. Whenever I hear bad things about a chain store, I attribute those comments/incidents to the demographics of that particular neighborhood where the store is located. The better stores are in the better neighborhoods, they have better prices and quality products are where people can afford to buy them. We were running our errands on Saturday when we stopped at this CVS for cool drinks. The first thing that I noticed was how clean and bright the store was. This is not our usual CVS so I took my time in perusing the aisles, it just looked like a bigger store. The shelves were fully stocked and I noticed the sales tags on almost all of the products. The staff was very friendly, helpful and polite. We were assisted by the cashier/customer service rep. Michael and the front end manager Jessika. Definitely a CVS location worth visiting. read more

I know I've said a lot of bad things about the other CVS.. on Savannah Hwy. This CVS, however, makes me feel much more comfortable. I have made this CVS my home pharmacy. What makes it so much better? First off, all of the staff, especially the pharmacy staff, are super friendly and helpful. As soon as you walk in, someone asks you how you are or if you need any help finding anything. I appreciate the warm and friendly greeting. The pharmacy staff here is remarkable. They take time to make sure you have what you need, on time, and that you understand what medicines you are taking. I went to the pharmacist here recently and asked him to look at all of the medications that I am prescribed and let me know if any of them could have drug interactions. He had no problem taking time out of his day to do this for me. He looked through and found that one of my medications could have some pretty serious interactions with a couple of my other medications. He printed off a couple pages of information about these interactions and told me to show them to my doctor. I am very thankful that he helped me with this and was so kind about it as well. This CVS also does not have any kind of set up to help form lines at the pharmacy. I don't like that, but at least the people that come to this CVS are a lot more courteous about giving other patients the privacy they deserve. I also have never overheard staff and customers talking crap about me or any other customer, like I hear when at the other CVS. The store itself is clean and well organized. It is one of the newer CVS stores in Charleston, so this is not that surprising. They always have some great sales. When you check out, you usually get a long receipt full of coupons for your next visit. Make sure to keep these coupons somewhere safe! Those Extrabucks they give out are worth cash towards CVS merchandise, and can really help save you money. If you're looking for cigarettes, however, I don't think any of the CVS stores carry tobacco products anymore. I can understand their reasoning behind this. They want CVS to be a place to become healthier, not more ill. I respect that and I can always get my nicotine at the thousands of other places that sell cigarettes. Overall, I feel like this is the BEST CVS I have been to in Charleston and it's surrounding area. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The store is clean and organized. It is a fairly large store for its location. It has everything you could need from a drug store. I recommend switching all of your medications to this CVS if you live anywhere nearby. This CVS Pharmacy location on Orange Grove Road in West Ashley is a great place to find all of your basic drug store and pharmacy items all in one place during an emergency or during normal times. The store is very well managed and everything is organized and easy to find. I have been impressed with the overall level of customer service and shopping experience every time I have been here. He was able to get into the system and now when I go I don't have to give my credit card it's on file, Cory is great at that pharmacy always He is an asset to your store. read more

My grandmother's prescription was not ready when we arrived. We requested it at 11:45am and were told it would becready in one hour. We showed up to the drive thru window at 1:15pm and were told it would be another 5-10 minutes. We waited as requested and drove back to the window. After we waited for the car in front of us to finish, the pharmacist then told us she could not help us because they were closing for lunch. She immediately closed the shutter on us and refused service. This is the WORST customer service. They refused to serve someone who had been waiting on them to finish their job. My grandmother has been a customer of this store since they had been located in Ashley Plaza (30+ years ago) and even before when the store was not affiliated with CVS. read more

I did business with the pharmacy on Ashley River Rd., Charleston,SC. Went to pick up my three scripts, one was for dog, there were two bottles for the dog and one for me, there was supposed to be another script for me. Certainly questioned where it was, as it was for my IBS. Long story short, I have never dealt with such nasty and unprofessional women in my life. One woman insisted she saw me throwing a package over the back seat, and if I drove over there, they would go through my car. What kind of garbage is this? My husband was the only compounder for the Medical University of SC, he retired after more than 50 years of damn hard work. They went on and on, and it did not end good. As a result, my prescription will be filled at Walgreens. I did write the corporate office of this situation. You can certainly call me or email me. This type of behavior cannot go on. The store is very clean and someone always greets you when you walk in. Drugstores carry so much more now. Hell, you can buy dinner and a gallon of milk while picking up a prescription! The customer service is what brings people back. Kudos for that. read more
