Went through the drive-thru for a pharmacy pickup. I was given a total. I asked if that was with insurance & was told yes so I paid, put my insurance card away and left. When I got home & looked at my prescriptions they said NO INSURANCE!! The paper also claimed they tried to call me for the info at 12:05. When I checked my call history I had NO MISSED CALLS & no voicemails. I called the pharmacy but they didn't answer. Located on old Trolley Rd in a safe part of town with easy access, CVS is there to support all of your one stop shopping needs. That said I'm not sure how many people actually shop at CVS. Because what I've noticed is CVS nationwide have on average a 8% increase in pricing over everywhere else. I believe the reason is because of not buying in bulk. I don't think I'm leaking any secrets here as that's just what I've observed. As for this facility it really does need some TCL as the last time I went there at around 2pm the carpets had trash all over the place. Most of the shelves were stocked but the products in the fridge and freezer where sparse as if no one restocked them in ages. One thing I have noticed is CVS gets in interesting holiday supplies like Danish cookies for Xmas. I never seen these cookies anywhere else so that is worth remembering. As for the pharmacy they're an enigma. I've pulled up in the drive through at 9am when the open yet they didn't open the big metal divider inside until 9:15. Also the orders are slower being filled than I've experienced in other states. Generally, if I call an order can be filled within 2-3 hours however this facility it's more along the lines of 5-6. That said, the staff are nice and willing to help out where they can. CVS is a place where many of us get our medications filled and as far as that aspect, they're about average speed, maybe a smidge under but with a nice staff. Inside the store portion of the freestanding unit, prices aren't competitive and I would pass on anything that needs refrigeration. They need a good and consistent cleaning as it's a bit dirty. As for me since the pharmacy is right around the corner, I find them capable of fulfilling my order so I'll be back. read more

This pharmacy has a bad problem with keeping prescribed medications in stock. Three times in a row now, they failed to have an important medication of mine in stock. Today, it's TWO of my meds they failed to have in stock. Then cvs has the audacity to send texts about how important it is to take my medications on schedule. What a JOKE. Do better! read more

CVS Pharmacy on Old Trolley Road in Summerville is one of my favorite drug store and pharmacy combination in the area. I am always impressed with their level of service that they offer everything that they do for their customers. The store is very well managed and organized and consistently gives a pleasant shopping experience. read more

Horrible experience with CVS pharmacy on trolley rd. I had an appointment at 5:10pm and 5:20pm to get my kids a PCR Covid test for travel. We arrived at 5:03pm and After TWO hours of waiting, I was told they would not be able to complete the tests. First they told me they couldn't pull up our test appt/registration- I had confirmation on my phone and offered to show this to them. Then they told me I had the wrong date- I did not. then they said to call customer service - when I called the lady had absolutely no issues pulling up my appointment and was kind enough to wait on the phone with me while I got back in line for the third time to make sure they could pull up the appt. Then they 'found the appointment but couldn't print the paperwork'. Then after two hours they told me 'well the nurse left at 5:30pm so we wouldn't be able to do the test anyways' (It was 7pm at this point). Every person working in the pharmacy area was extremely rude and unhelpful. At one point my daughter had to use the restroom and I had to ask several times if someone could unlock the door for her. Nobody ever once apologized for THEIR mistake or for keeping us there for 2 hours. Absolute worst pharmacy experience I've ever had and needless to say- we will never return to this store again. read more

I think the prices are high here but I will occasionally pop in for things like gift cards or when my couponing friend gives me the heads up on a can't miss deal. My most recent trip was for some gift cards for Christmas. Christopher greeted me as soon as I walked in and also rang up my stuff. He was super friendly and welcoming. read more

This pharmacy is slow and doesn't seem to care how long you wait, or if it's your second visit for something that you again have to wait for as they were out of stock with the meds the day before. Healthcare in the U.S., in general is terrible.....so, guess this is what we get in our Democrat controlled country. Wish we could make this CVS and America better again! read more

Highly disappointed. I placed an order for prints for an activity I was hosting. I placed it three days in advance and when I showed up to pick up my order it wasn't ready. I gave the cashier my name, she said she couldn't find them. She pulled it up in the system and could find the order but not the actual prints. When she clicked on the order to try and reprint, it wouldn't work. I told her I could go ahead and push it through on my app again, and when I did it didn't show up on the order screen. She pulled out a stool and asked me to wait, helping other customers. While I understand that technology isn't perfect and you cannot co trip everything. The service you provide can make up for mistakes that happen. Having me sit and wait and replace my order is not alright. Finally, I had placed an order and used coupon codes to have the total only be a dollar. She wouldn't honor that price as she "technically" printed a new order. The customer service to fix this mistake was unacceptable. I will have my prints created somewhere else or have them shipped via another service. read more

I went to pick up my prescription with the drive thru on 11/27/18 about 4-5pm. The drive thru employee got my prescriptions wrong after I explained which ones I needed, and the others were to be put in archive. I went inside to refund one of my prescriptions and the out drop off employee was extremely rude with zero customer service. The pharmacist helped me with my transaction. I have never had an issue with CVS and was so very disappointed with the poor customer service. read more

I originally chose this CVS as the primary pharmacy for my family due to the close proximity it is to our house. However, I have been pleasantly surprised about how customer centric the pharmacy is. Thankfully,We have only had a couple issues regarding prescriptions and insurance changes, yet the staff was able to address any issues quickly and provide prompt solutions to make for hassle free customer service. read more

I have been on hold for almost 15 minutes and still waiting on someone to answer the phone. I am calling because they are continuously calling my OB/GYN office for a refill on something that I no longer need nor want. They also have done this about other meds that I don't need any long. I wish my insurance was still using Wallgreens pharmacy. read more

This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever used. I don't understand why this particular CVS is so bad yet the other ones, especially the one at Highway 78/Ladson is so great! I will wait in line forever and then drop off my prescriptions. I will give them a very long and adequate time to have them filled. So I come back later, wait again, still not finished. One time I called to make sure it was done, they said it was, so I hopped in my car, drove one mile to get there, wait in line forever, get up to the window and they can't find it (this was a whole 5 minutes after they told me it was ready!!) Another time they told me it would be ready the next day, so I go to get it, they say it isn't ready yet, so I wait another day. And then when I went to pick it up, they said it was out of stock!! I will make several trips and waste so much time to get one single prescription. It is ridiculous!! Not to mention, several of the pharmacy employees are incompetent and very rude!! Won't even say "thank you" or anything when you go there or call. I will switch back to the CVS at Highway 78, even though I have to drive more miles. They are much, much better and very nice! read more
