I called and explained the necessity for getting my medicine on time ...the Manager, Mr. Vassa, not only displayed complete understanding of my situation but clearly went out of his way to ensure I received my medication on time. My Dr prescribed benlysta for me. When walgreens called they quoted me a co-pay of 20 dollars. That was in April of 2025. I only received 1 dose. In Sept I received a bill for 2300 dollars. When I called they gave me the run around. If I would have known this I would never have agreed to have them send it. I live on a small social security check. They contracted with insurance companies to force providers to use them so now our office has to order through them every week for a single patient which they will only do on the phone and can literally take hours. I am in awe with the service here. My father has stage three colon cancer and had to put off part of his chemotherapy because the pharmacy would not rectify a damaged shipment until a month later and even then they haven't followed through. We were able to get a "refill" in time for my fathers second IV chemotherapy treatment but that was after the pharmacy failed to deliver the medication on time because they were "out of stock" even though I was told they'd overnight it. I had to drive almost 2 hours to Frisco and 2 hours back to Rhome, Tx in order to get the medication that my father was to have started three weeks before. My father just had his third IV chemo treatment and when I placed the order earlier in the week (Tuesday) stating that we wanted the medication before Thursday I was told it would get to us on Wednesday and that yes it was in stock. Wednesday morning I call for a tracking number to find out it was not shipped because they were out of stock and that they'd send it so that it arrives Thursday. For all packages not including the first damaged one we have requested Signature Required and yet for the package that actually arrived on Thursday, there was no signature required and when I called to ask about it the replacement order was also the same, no required signature. I was told by the logistics department that they would send us a courtesy replacement for the first damaged order and it was supposed to arrive today (Friday) but after once again calling for a tracking number I come to find out that there is no order coming. It was voided because it was sent to the wrong pharmacy and they failed to send it to the correct one. Also, they can't find the conversation I had to check the information even though all conversations are recorded and notes are made. Time after time they "make note" of the issues but always fail to follow through. I am so incredibly tired of calling once to twice a day just to have the SAME issues every time. The oncologists office have filed a formal complaint, I've complained each time I call and have had two or three "windshields" in place to address the issues but why do we continue to have the same problems? Absolute worst service I have received from a pharmacy. It ranks in the top five worst companies that I have ever dealt with. The sad part is, I have just started dealing with them. There is lack of accountability, follow up, knowledge of processes, lack of compassion, lack of expediency for time sensitive medications, among other deficiencies I can't think of at the moment. My insurance is trying to penny pinch by using this specialty mail order process and I am losing hours off of my life trying to get medications filled. I didn't realize getting authorization for scripts to get filled was like getting security clearance at a nuclear facility. I ended up having to pay the last round of treatment out of pocket because they took so long to process (and eventually I had to stop them from chasing their own tail). If I miss a dose, it's a problem for me physically. There is even a department especially for the condition that I have and they still can't get it right. This second time trying, I started the process with ample time and here we are again, a Friday with me needing a refill badly before Monday. They promised overnight shipping, but I will put down $100 as a bet saying they won't meet that promise. They should be ashamed of themselves. Our insurance requires that we use this specialty pharmacy, but it is absolutely the worst pharmacy I have ever used in my life. It takes calling them at least 15 to 20 times each month to get one medication ordered, and it is never received before we run out of medication. Truly unethical for people who's lives depend on these medications. I have a pretty severe condition where if I don't get my injection every 2 weeks, my symptoms flare BIG TIME Honestly, I've never had more trouble with ANY other pharmacy, but because my insurance won't cover any other specialty pharmacies for some unknown reason, I am stuck with Walgreens Alliance. I can't even count on 2 hands how many people I have spoken to about getting my deliveries in a timely matter, but everytime I call I speak to someone new and have to start back at square one. Apparently, these guys don't keep any notes or anything pertaining to previous customer calls. I have spoken to 3 different people in the copay assistance dept and they have said it was applied to my account and should have a $0 copay and they will reach out to my doctor to schedule delivery. Then I call back the next day or 2 to check on things and not only is the copay assistance not applied, but the copay has even gone up! And also there is currently NO scheduled delivery. So now Im getting quoted different amounts for the same medication, and to top it off....its late again...for the umpteenth time, which means my symptoms are returning, which defeats the whole purpose of taking the medication in the first place. Also there is not trace or recollection of me ever speaking to someone yesterday or the day before. All I can think is this a joke or something?? Incompetence seems rampant within this organization. While either unwilling or unable to rectify repeated errors (poorly trained staff, perhaps?), they do occasionally acknowledge them. Total Fiasco! Not worth the money you think you will save. Bait-and-Switch: They gave me quotes on my meds they said would be good for 10 days. I actually called twice and received all the same price quotes for all the meds. When I called a week later to order the day before I needed the meds, they said they would charge me higher prices for two of the meds, one of them was DOUBLE! At that point I had to pay the outrageous prices or try to get the scripts transferred to an honest pharmacy that same day and get them shipped before the honest company's cutoff time. All orders are a screw up, without fail I have heard "there was an insurance problem, Oh I'm sorry your copay is messed up, and today Oh my it should ship on Monday we are sorry we told you to stay home all day and wait!" I'm done with this stuff, it's too expensive to be treated like second hand trash. Humira needs to take control of what happens once you ship this liquid gold, to your distributor. Complete lack of customer service. Took over a week and three phone calls to get them to even begin processing my prescription that my doctor submitted. Walgreen's senior management (at corporate level) should look into the incompetence of the associates at this location. These extensive delays are unacceptable and should be considered a serious liability due to lack of fulfillment of prescriptions. My first prescription was ordered on a Tuesday morning (10 am my time, 9 am theirs) that I needed for Saturday. They said it wouldn't even process until the next day despite the early time, but it was 2 day shipping, so I'd get it on Friday. By Friday at 4:00 it was not received, so I called. It hadn't even been processed yet! They did, fortunately, get it to me on time, but there was a lot of stress on my end because my drugs have to be taken at the exact time. My second came in a box that told me to refrigerate it. Turns out, it wasn't supposed to be. When I called and asked the pharmacist if it was still okay, she said "I don't know." That was it--nothing else. So I asked to have it reshipped and she said she'd open a claim. Over the course of 2 days talked to 4 different reps, all of who gave me incorrect information and the final denying my claim to get new meds because I didn't have a picture of the label and she didn't know all the labels their company used (I gave her the color and exact wording from the label). That I could pay the $300 for the meds plus rush shipping or drive to their pharmacy 3 hrs away to get the meds (that I now needed in 7 hrs after this long process). The irony is that I called another pharmacy to ask the same question about whether it was okay after refrigeration because I didn't want to spend an extra $300 or drive 6 hrs round trip. Within 10 minutes I had the answer that the medication was fine to still use. Had their pharmacist been knowledgeable (or even smart enough to send me to the manufacturer like the other one did) all these hours would have been avoided. read more

I have never had any problem getting my specialty rx. They always call in advance to schedule my delivery. Fed ex delivers it on time e everytime. Everyone that I have spoken to there has been extremely helpful and friendly. I had a special situation and they assisted me in being able to come and pick up my medication. Which helped me out if a jam. Thank you Alluance Rx. My Medication has to be refrigerated and in the summer heat the ice gel packs they use really last 36 hrs and they include additional packs to cover the summer heat. read more
