My Dr sent in a refill for a prescription I was out of 3 times, and even called twice. The pharmacy marked it as provider denied. I went into the store to speak with them about it and they were VERY rude and unhelpful. They are frequently out of my medications and I have to wait for them to order and receive it, I've been waiting on 1 RX for a week that they ordered and on their app is marked delayed. Worst experience ever. I haven't been to a CVS in more than 5 years. Now, I remember why. Horrible customer service. I first stopped at CVS on El Dorado and Coit in Frisco on the way home from Urgent Care. The CVS website states the pharmacy is open to 11 pm. Wrong! I go in, see it's closed immediately and ask the clerk "Where's the closest 24-hour pharmacy?" He replies, "I don't know. Google it." You would think he'd know. He probably gets asked nightly. So I Google it. The CVS website has a webpage that lists 24-Hour CVS Pharmacies, which includes this CVS on Preston and Rolater. I walk in at 9:44 pm, and the pharmacist tells me before I hit the counter, "If that's a new prescription, we close in 15 minutes. I don't have time to fill it." I tell him, the website states it's a 24-hour pharmacy. He responds, "We haven't been a 24-hour pharmacy for two years." I tell him "The CVS website says your 24 hours." He says, "I know...it's a problem." Then I make the blunder of asking him "Where is the closest 24-hour pharmacy?" He tells me it's at El Dorado and FM 423, which is 7 miles away ... on the Little Elm border. As I am about to drive there, I think -- "That's a hell of a long way to go especially in the Frisco." I Google "24-hour pharmacy" for the third time that night, and there's a Walgreens at Lebanon and Preston...less than a mile away. They filled the script in less than 5 minutes. read more

They close for lunch daily. A women opens the window to ask me to move because a buzzer is going off inside. I move one medicine is not ready. They say come back in 30 minutes. I comeback in 35 it's still not read. Since I'm in the drive thru. Drive back around and wait another 20 minute. I think CVS is doomed to fail and people should find a better place to get good service. read more

I used to love this pharmacy. Then I started having a lot of issues. If I could give them zero stars I would. One: I've been hung up on several times, almost always after waiting more than ten-fifteen minutes on hold. Two: I called in a prescription, they told me it was on order and when I changed jobs I was put insurance so when it finally showed up, it was no longer covered because it took so long. They never told me a damn thing about it, and I went over a month without an anti-seizure medication because they're incompetent. I recently tried to move my prescriptions from here because a different pharmacy was less expensive and they transferred a third of the ones I take, including several daily medications. I'm now in the middle of intense withdrawal symptoms because they couldn't be bothered to either ask me previously if I wanted my doctor to refill my prescriptions, or say anything to the new pharmacy when I wanted my prescription profile moved over. So basically, good for them being 24/7 but that's all they have going for them. They're useless at best and their staff is incredibly rude. read more

This pharmacy sends text messages stating that your prescription is ready to pick up, then after you get to the store to pick it up, they will tell you that the medicine is "out of stock" or "you will have to come back in 45 minutes to an hour because it's not ready yet". The weeknight pharmacy team (after 11pm) is extremely rude and they have no interest in exhibiting a positive customer service attitude. On a positive note, the in-store cashiers and staff (not in the pharmacy department) are very friendly and helpful. Too bad they can't run the pharmacy drive-thru! I love shopping in-store after 11pm with their nighttime crew and their knowledge of coupons and store policies are superb. I highly recommend a different CVS pharmacy location. read more

Every time I have to pick up a prescription here, it takes so long. I've been in line behind just two cars now for over 15 minutes. I've been at other drive throughs and if they were having trouble with my prescription they asked me to come back around. That only happened once. So not sure why person in front of line has taken now 17 minutes. It's crazy. I usually go in because drive through takes so long but since there were only cars in line I figured it wouldn't take long. So it's now been 20 minutes and we finally moved. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I've had reoccurring issues at this location, however I've been very forgiving but enough is enough. Many times they've called to let me know that my prescription was ready for pickup when in fact it was not. The pharmaceutical industry is a serious one therefore, I wish the pharmacist at this location would treat it as such. read more

I went into the store for a couple items. The whole time I was there I had a black male employee following me around the store. I don't know his name or else I would put it. I was getting my last items and as I went to get the last items the man came up to me and said I need to leave my purse at the front of the store. I have a medium sized Burberry purse that has my money in it. I told him I'm not leaving my purse at the front. I was treated like I was going to be stealing something. I have never stolen anything in my life nor would I. I will never come back to this store. I will be calling corporate tomorrow. As I am so upset, my husband called to get his name and the same man started arguing with my husband on the phone. He would not give his name. This is not okay by any means. read more

You guys said do you want us to work on filling your prescription for this & I replied yes. When I go to get it, it's only 1 month. When I tell the girl at the window you guys said it was 3 months, she says my insurance won't cover it. You guys told me they did & after I've come to get it I'm being told otherwise. So I left. 15 min told wait for prescription for child with strep and fever took 45 mins. No one was communicating with each other and the one person running the register was not competent enough to be left alone. They need more experienced staff and just more staff. To be the only 24 hr pharmacy you'd expect them to be prepared. Oh they had sick children behind the counter, I'm sure that's sanitary. read more

Horrible!! Drive through extremely slow. Then I'm told my insurance is no good. Medicare and United Healthcare!!! We're all in trouble! Asked them to run it through again. Same comment. Moved prescriptions to Walmart and the 2 prescriptions were $14. Never again. read more

Good: CVS sends you text messages. And they provide us with medications we need.. Bad: The drive thru line is longer than the equator. The line inside will give you time to get a PhD. They won't have your 90-day birth control ready even though they text you that it's ready because no one has ordered it but they said they ordered it. Every month you will ask them to order the 90-day supply, but you'll only be given a 30-day supply. The techs are overworked and underpaid. read more

I have rarely had an issue with this pharmacy. They always have plenty of staff in the pharmacy area and are quick to help. My husband's prescriptions are difficult to fill, I have learned to call ahead and check to see if the scripts have been received l, and if they are ready. They usually have 2 of the 3 ready, since one is a controlled substance, it's never ready, hence the phone call. Once I started doing that, I haven't had any problems. I think pharmacy's get a bad rap! Dealing with all kinds of insurance companies, it's not their fault if the insurance companies don't cover scripts or if a drug manufacturer went up on prices, or made generic drug unavailable. Let's face it, January is going to be a nightmare and longer waits. Everyone's insurance changes and has to be reverified. My own personal prescriptions are never an issue and I get reminder text messages all the time! I love it, some times I forget to pick mine up, they text me and ask if I want to continue to hold it. Simple Yes reply and done. I buy random stuff from this location all the time and their front staff has always been nice and friendly. Gee whiz! I can't be the only person out there who thinks this store and staff are great! Oh yeah! The drive thru is pretty fast too! What more could you ask for Sad for me however! BCBS is no longer accepted at CVS now I have to hope and pray Walgreens has as amazing service as this location. read more

They have a new pharmacist and it shows. First time I came in and got my Rx within 15 mins. He was working FAST. I saw him working hard. Kudos to a hard working pharmacist even though the lines outside and inside are LONG. Other then that Service is OK- they are not the friendliest but not the worse. read more

The wait time at the pharmacy is ridiculously long. A Friday evening, there were 5 cars backed up and the line never moved for 20 minutes. I finally gave up and went inside and it was the exact same situation. I started to wonder if there was anyone working in the pharmacy at all. I decided to wait and come back the following day and spend another 20 minutes in line for one car to get helped. I appreciate the convenience of a drive-through, but it defeats the purpose if they are not helping customers or are working through issues for 20 minutes per customer. If I could give a -5, I would. We stopped using this pharmacy years ago, because of the super slow service. Today is the last day I will shop there period. They place a sales sticker on items, but the register doesn't reflect the sale price. When you bring it to the managers attention, they argue. I'm done. I'll just go to Walmart. read more

So Nick is the store Manager. He could not produce the a store policy concerning returns during COVID-19. Initially the policy was no returns until further notice. Now they accept returns but the not from the months when returns were not allowed. Then he acted like he did me a favor by giving store credit. When I asked if I could read the store policy, he told me to call corporate. Not sure I will return to CVS after I am forced to lose my store credit. read more

Hour later they're still not done but they told me they're working on it right now should only be a few mins. . A whole HOUR AND FORTY-FIVE later they were ready. People Need to Stop writing bad reviews about this 24 HR CVS Location. It's not the Staffs fault for slow service or long lines. They are severely understaffed for the amount of business this location receives daily. Blame their Corporate Office for limiting their budgeted hours for Staff every week. They have very competent Pharmacists and Technicians, but are severely overworked and UNDER Paid. I feel sorry for the staff here and many do not stick around long because of this. Maybe if CVS recognized their qualified Techs abilities and paid them accordingly, they wouldn't have such a high turnover rate. read more

Will NEVER use this pharmacy again! Staff is extremely incompetent and have had several issues refilling prescriptions. Also 9 times out of 10 there is always a long line at the pharmacy and takes forever to get your Rx. I can understand this happening every now and then but not every single time including what I would consider off-peak hours. I recommend using a different pharmacy in the area. read more

Even though this CVS is conveniently located on the corner of Preston and Rolater, I'd still rather go to the most inconveniently located place to avoid coming here. It sucks, plain and simple. Employees can be jerks, every time I come, the lines are longer than they should be because the cashiers are so slow, and the store itself always looks unorganized. Ugh, and don't even get me started on the pharmacy. I called with a question once.. a very simple one.. "Do you have the meningitis vaccine?" The guys answer.. "I don't know."
