I live in Lewisville and used Walgreens, but they never seemed to value me as a customer. This was at least the 20th time they ran out of those two main meds. So I started calling around... but, absolutely no one had them. I cannot begin to explain how terrifying it is to be unable to find the medicine you desperately need, that's going to run out in only 48 hours. Eventually, however... I was told to give Plano Pharmacy a try. The first person I talked to there was Akin (the manager), who immediately said he could get my scripts; but I've been lied to before about these meds. I didn't believe him but I was out of options. He made me promise though that, if he got them for me, I'd move all my scripts to him... and write him a review. Early the next day he calls and says, he's got them and asks where do I want them delivered - that alone blew me away - I don't even have to drive to Plano to pick them up. Like Akin, I'm a man of my word; so, here's the review I promised him (that he so richly deserves). He came through for me in a big way, and he's earned my loyalty. I don't think you can go wrong with this pharmacy, and I can't recommend them enough. They'll get the job done when no one else seems able to.

HEB Pharmacy is ALWAYS on point!…read more One particular pharmacist, Juan Carlos (aka J.C.) at the Allen - Exchange location, is the kindest person; he is patient, kind, and has heart; it shows! I first experienced this when a pharmacy employee was super unkind (& rude) to me, and I wanted to bring it to the pharmacist's attention... JC handled the situation with grace and no excuses... even took accountability for HER actions! THAT is a true manager! People know the difference! I later discovered that she had just given her 2 weeks' notice... HEB dodged a bullet with her! Today, I called him to thank him for being a good human and representing HEB with such heart... AND that a NEW HEB would be opening closer to my home, and I hope they have a pharmacist team that is (even close to) as wonderful! He mentioned he had already met them and assured me they are all wonderful! I giggled and thanked him again! I'm sure it's because it's a new location, so I would expect this to improve over time. Friendly staff, though, and personable. They offer free and low-cost health screenings on the 2nd Saturday every month. We have taken advantage of that and appreciate having that option: including free blood pressure check, free glucose, and low-cost cholesterol, A1C, and complete cholesterol pannel. We've switched from CVS because the hours are much better, the staff are nicer, and of course, it's convenient!
