This is the nearest ANYTHING when it comes to my area. It does have limited groceries, and options for drinks, beer, and anything else you may need if you forgot something or need something real quick. The only downer is everything at Walgreens is EXTREMELY expensive!! 59 cents for ONE lime? You can get 5 for a dollar at an Asian supermarket!!! And anything you can find here will most likely be 4-6 dollars less at a local Wal-Mart or Target. However, I can't complain, this is the nearest place so it's really convenient to stop by when I need something ASAP. The workers are always pleasant, and they're really big on keeping the lines down. When there is only one person at the register and there are more than 3 people in line, you'll here a "I SEE 3" on the intercom, and magically another register is open to help you. Went in for a final (non-COVID) vaccine booster. There was no one else waiting in the pharmacy. There was no one in the drive through. They asked if I had an appointment. I told them no and that I had never been asked to have an appointment before. They said they were too busy with the covid vaccine clinic. I said 'there's no one here.' Their response 'Well it's time for our lunch.' I said 'Your lunch isn't for 12 minutes.' They continued to refuse to help me. So basically I didn't get my final vaccine because they couldn't be bothered to work the final 12 minutes before lunch. Thanks. I'll take ALL my business elsewhere. read more

Worst pharmacy and pharmacist in the area. The pharmacist, the taller, older Asian women ( I believe there are two pharmacist) with straight black hair is the most unprofessional person I've dealt with. I asked about my medication and why it wasn't there when I arrived even though the app says it's ready and she just gave me an attitude and acted like she didn't understand what I was asking her. She neither confirm or denied the whereabouts of my medication. Then she had the nerves to ask, "Do you want to refill it or not?!!" after telling me I didn't have anything to pick up. She has the most condescending and arrogant tone to her voice. This is not the first time I've dealt with her. I had a similar situation about a year ago about something similar. Overall, this pharmacy is a joke. There's always something wrong with my insurance even though there's not, medication is always out, nothing is ever filled on time, you call them and they tell you one thing then arrive and they tell you something else, the wait times at the drive through and inside is like waiting at the DMV, the staff is hardly ever friendly, and the pharmacist is on a power trip like she controls your health or something. I will be transferring to another location. I rather drive further then put up with the constant headache. read more

This Walgreens has saved me more times than I can count. I quickly discovered the hard way that living in Mather in a housing complex off the airport means living 15 minutes from anywhere I'd regularly go to get goods and services. Fortunately, this place popped up on a once desolate street corner and saved me daily half hour trips to somewhere else. It's not all good. They have a pricey, limited selection and it goes without fail that when there is something specific I'm looking for, they are out of stock. Nevertheless, they have most of what you'd need when you need something in a hurry, from snacks to cleaning products to over-the-counter drugs. I'm a fan of their drive of prescription window. I have to give Wal Greens a 5 star review not only because it is right by the area I live but each time I am here I am always greeted and find what I need. The prices may be a bit higher than a regular grocery store or retail location but id rather walk 3 blocks than drive a few miles down the road. We went to Walgreens to use their photo dept. They attempted to be helpful but the photo guy couldn't really help with what we needed. He ended up calling a manager who helped us but then him and his employee went back and forth with "Well its XYZ", and "No it's not, its ZYX". The manager ended up being correct but it was oddball. Candy for a meeting, batteries for a clock, print pictures of employees, you name it, I've done it here. Very convenient location in a part of Rancho that is still being developed. I usually can't stand walking into chains like these (Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens). For one, they are all super expensive, yet have a "generic" feel to them. The only time Walgreens is a blessing is when you're on vacation in the middle of nowhere and left all your necessities at home. But I digress... I like this Walgreens! I came here at 7:10am one morning, on a "emergency mascara run" (see?). The asian gentleman behind the counter was SUPER friendly and helpful. Sure, maybe it was his morning espresso. But it worked for me as this was the start to my day. He even noticed I had a Walgreens savings card on my key ring as he rung me up. I didn't even know I had one! I have been to Walgreens Rancho Cordova Sunrise Blvd 4 diff times drive thru, from the first to the fourth they have remained constant, absolutely horrible customer service, today I waited 22 mins in drive thru line while it's 102' ! On 3 occasions I received text and email messages stating that my prescriptions are ready only to get there to pick them up and nada! I even prepaid one and they didn't have record of that! I showed the "manger?" My cell phone texts and email to verify and still service hasn't got better, my last time going there, I watched the person waiting on me answer 2 calls while trying to hurry and put together my prescriptions, not smart at all when dealing with drugs! The pharmacy tech was uneducated and just plain lied. Went in for a flu shot, which everyone is touting to get and there's numerous signs around. Made an appointment even. Get there and the tech says they don't take our insurance. Without even checking. Ok fine, I'll pay for the flu shot. This is when it gets ridiculous. She says she can't because she knows we have insurance. Even though I will pay full price. I ask if we walked in here and said we don't have insurance we couldn't get it? She says no you could you'd just have to pay. She just didn't want to deal with it. If you look it up, Walgreens has been getting in trouble for doing stuff like this. We went to their rival and low and behold, they let us pay for it and we got the shot. Will never ever even think of going back to this Pharmacy or Walgreens for that matter. Plus at the competitor they were nice, explanatory and just plain pleasant. Here they wouldn't even let a little girl go in with her dad to get the shot. This pharmacy has one pharmacist who always questions the integrity of my doctor. I had a prescription sent to another location on Sunrise (45 min away) which I understand happens a lot (there are 3 Walgreens on Sunrise I know about). My prescription was ready at another location however I called and asked my doctor to send it to this one since it's closer to home. The pharmacist never answers the phone on Sundays. I needed this filled by today and she said "Yeah I saw this come through yesterday, but I faxed the doctor today about a question." Uh hello, we all know most doctors aren't open Sundays. My insurance expires tomorrow as I am changing jobs, so I needed this today to not spend $150 on my meds as compared to $3.23. How do I know that price? Because it was ready at the other location on Sunrise. So you're questioning my doctors integrity and another pharmacist integrity. Praying that Raleys opens a pharmacy soon, cause I can't stand this place. Only person in the pharmacy that's great is the gentleman that works back there. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for quite some time and I really go so that I can utilize the neighborhood businesses. The pharmacy management is the worst! They under staff, I have never been notified of a prescription being ready, they loose your prescriptions, I have waited for 25 minutes on the phone and finally drove down there while still on hold and that was pitiful, they don't ask you if you want to hold, they just pick up the phone and put it back down. I have been at the window for more than the normal time without any acknowledgment. I have driven all the way to Elk Grove Walgreens on EG/Florin and Bond and always receive great customer service (I lived in Elk grove for along time) I wanted to continue giving Walgreens my business near my new home. I went to Walgreens to have some pictures printed for my first grade class. I had a coupon on my phone for 40% off, but it wouldn't work. The man in the photo department didn't have any idea for me so he got the manager to see if she could help. This gal was AMAZING! She tried at least 3 other codes, tracked down two different store ads and in the end found a coupon code that worked! I went back the next day and printed a few more pictures. Rude cashier (I think her name was Raychel). She talked to the person in front and behind of me in line as I was waiting to pay but not me. When I was checking out, she didn't even say one word to me and continued talking to the person behind me in line. She didn't even ask me if I wanted my receipt, how I was going to pay, or to even give her my Walgreens rewards number. I never had a bad experience at this Walgreens (aside from the high prices) but she just put me in a bad mood with her horrible customer service. A simple "hi" or even just an acknowledgement of my presence would've been great but she ignored me the whole time I was there. I've never been treated that way by a worker and she just came off as really rude. I understand that she may have known the person behind me in line, but not even acknowledging me? That's just plain rude in my opinion. I'm usually not petty and would not write a review because maybe the person was having a bad day, but that obviously wasn't the case here. Please train your workers better so that they could use their common sense and at least acknowledge the customer that they are ringing up! read more

This store is the ONLY business out in our area and it is definitely the go to for everything! Unfortunately, more times than not, they are usually out of stock on most popular items and sale items. Always out of bread. Usually out of bottled coffee creamer, half and half, eggs, butter, some snack, etc. very frustrating as a customer!!! This branch is not always stocked! It doesn't matter whether you come first thing Sunday (start of sale) or the day after delivery. They don't seem to have a handle on replenishing their shelves. I find that the branch on Hazel and Greenback are pretty stocked on their items for weekly sales, that is how it should be. So sometimes I don't even bother going to this branch although this is the closest to me. read more

Not for the first time, I was recently disappointed in a purchase at this store, due to old, near-expired merchandise they continue to stock on their shelves. This time it was a tube of Polysporin cream, that when I got home I found had an expiration date of just two months - this for an item with a shelf life of over 2 years when new. I went back the next day, and instead of being apologetic they treated me like a criminal because I didn't have my receipt - even though I went back and grabbed 3 more boxes with the 2 month expiry and brought them to the front to show them. They insisted I take a store credit, even though I have no intention of giving them any more business. I demanded my money back, the shift manager demanded I leave, even tried to push me out of the store when I stopped at the register to put the 3 more tubes I found on the counter. (I'm considering filing a report for assault). Yes, they had 3 more on the shelf, and behind that, one with a 4 month date, and behind that one at 7 months. So they are deliberately selling this junk; apparently it's store policy to cheat their customers. Don't patronize. read more

Let's just get this out of the way up front: their prices SUCK. The prices of their own brand of items, Nice!, are fine (although the quality isn't very good), but if you want anything else be prepared to pay 2-3 times as much as you would at most of the other big chain stores in the area. That being said, this is the only issue I've ever really had with them. The store is conveniently located, has a wide selection of everyday items for when you don't want to drive all the way to a bigger store, and they seem to do a pretty good job keeping the store clean and stocked. They've also done a really good job keeping up with the latest in tech. They accept contactless payments (Android and Apple Pay), their chip and PIN process is fast, and the app is fast and works well. The employees I've met are friendly and helpful.
