Dr. Dang is the pharmacist here and yes, he is a doctor! For several years now, he's been a great Walgreens pharmacist at this location. He's always on the ball, he gives salutations to us by name. My observations indicate that he is knowledgeable, extremely polite, explaining medication, and directions. He talks kindly to my kids, special needs and our elderly family members. Additionally, I like the fact that this pharmacy has a walk-in and drive-through, that way one can choose It's really not a long wait as well. And that feedback should complete my review . read more

I've had it with this location. The workers are so rude. Every single time my wife or I have come in we have to deal with a rude worker. The works always like they are having a bad day or don't want to be there! Today was the last straw. The lady at the drive through window was so rude because I had asked her to use Rx coupon from their own website. She acted like the difference was coming out her own pocket. These workers need a lesson in customer service and how to treat others with kindness and respect. read more

Also very Other pharmacies put you on hold for 30+ minutes, but this Walgreens answers the phone within 5 minutes. I am shocked at the bad reviews, as I have nothing but good experiences here. My family members have transferred prescriptions here, and have had nothing but good experiences. I've noticed a lot of pharmacies are closing, so I really hope this one does not. read more

I went in for my Covid vaccine appointment this morning. Pharmacist looked exhausted and not welcoming at all. After a few minutes, Ann came out--no eye contact, no greeting. Second time in as many weeks where called in prescriptions are not ready 5 hours later. In addition they could provide only partials for several meds resulting in return trips. Will be taking my business elsewhere such as CVS where I have never experienced such severe slowness. Extremely lazy customer service at this Walgreens. I went here to get covid test kits on 6/27 at 11:15am. The Asian woman behind the counter said their store doesn't carry it b/c it's a smaller store and advised me to check the Irvine or Aliso Viejo locations. As the only customer in the pharmacy with no customers behind me the entire time and I could hear the technicians casually talking, I asked the Asian woman if she could help call the Irvine location for the test kits and I'll drive straight there. She says, "I can't call another store to check for this type of thing." I thought to myself, it's not a drug / pill. She doesn't needed to disclose any confidential patient information. Basically she didn't want to help at all, as she works in a customer service job. This is a huge disappointment of herself, her work ethics and the pharmacy services at this Walgreens location. I won't return to this pharmacy and advise others not too based off my simple request. This store should be zero stars. read more

Made same day appointments online to get vaccinated, drove right over to this location, and checked in through the drive-through, which I really appreciated. The level of safety here is outstanding for such a small space. Three of us got vaccinated, and from start to finish it might have been a little more than a half hour, and that includes the necessary waiting period after the shot. It was painless, we were offered educational materials and told about the most common reactions. It couldn't have been a smoother experience, and we are already set up for the second dose. read more

Most of the people that work here have an attitude problem and I understand how some days can be tough but I work in the service industry as well.... Try getting a different job if you aren't happy. I've been loyal to them even though they gave my medicine and to someone else a while back but honestly sick of the attitudes. I'd try a different location. This place deserves 0 stars. If you expect respectful communication, professional customer service, and no defiance with your physician's prescribed medication, take your business to another pharmacy, NOT Walgreens at the corner of RidgeRoute and Muirlands Drive in Lake Forest. I have patronized this pharmacy and tolerated the decline in customer service for too long. Today's experience with this pharmacy set a new all time low: I called the store to order a refill on an Rx. The automated attendant told me I could pick up my Rx today anytime after 1 pm. I drove up to the pharmacy drive thru window to pick up my Rx at 3:30 pm today. I waited 5 minutes for a pharmacist to acknowledge my presence. After the pharmacist looked up my order, she told me it was too soon for me to get a refill even though her automated attendant instructed me I could pick up my refill today after 1 pm, and me informing the pharmacist that I have a new infection that requires the medication refill now. I asked the pharmacist to call my physician's office to confirm it was necessary to provide me a refill today. The pharmacist then told me to park my car, and wait in my car in the parking lot. I parked my car, and immediately called my physician's office. The doctor's answering exchange connected me to my physician who told me she would call the pharmacy immediately to authorize my refill. Then my physician confirmed the pharmacy phone number and told me she would call the pharmacy immediately. 5 minutes later my physician texted me and told me she spoke with the pharmacist, confirmed I should be dispensed my Rx refill, and told me she was told by the pharmacy that my refill would be ready in 30 minutes. I returned to the drive thru pharmacy window an hour later. The pharmacist looked out the window at me and then turned around and ignored me. After sitting a few more minutes, I had to honk my horn to get someone to come tend me idling at the drive thru window. The pharmacist knew exactly who I was and why I was there. She told me she could NOT dispense my Rx refill because my physician had not called their pharmacy. I showed the pharmacist my physician's text confirming my physician had called and spoke with a pharmacist. The pharmacist serving me glared at me, and tersely told me even if my physician called and authorized the refill, she was declining to fill it because it was too soon in her estimation for me to get a refill despite my new infection. Whoa! I drove away without my refill. When I got home, I calked my physician's exchange again, and told them the pharmacy was still refusing to provide me a refill. The exchange reported the situation to my physician. My physician, again, followed up with me, expressed surprise the pharmacy was refusing her prescription refill, and suggested I find another pharmacy. Indeed! Not only will be taking all my future Rx needs to another local pharmacy, but I will be filing a compliant against this Walgreens with the State of California Pharmacy licensing board. Avoid this Walgreens! Take your business where it will be honored and respected. read more

The guy at the drop off was an asshole 10/11/19 11:40am. From the start had an attitude because I didn't understand what he was what he was asking. Im sorry but we learned in school how to properly write out sentences and questions for a reason, I'm not here to try to catch on to your pharmacist short slang. Then he asked for my card I said I didn't have it on me since I've been going to Walgreens for 10yrs for prescriptions, I told him I didn't have it on me. He the stated "do you want me to fill your prescription or not?" So I go to my car and it's not there, I asked him do you have my information on file, I thought all Walgreens would have the same info" He said "yes we do I just wanted to make sure you information was updated." Then what the hell?? Fill my prescription and get over your power trip. End of story I leave with no prescription and wasted my lunch. Thanks! read more

I was told my perscriptioin was going to cost $300.00, so I hung up the phone. I shortly called back and decided to pay the $300.00. The employee on the phone said "you are going to pay $300.00????" I said yes. He asked me several times, you are going to pay $300.00 and I repeatly said yes. He put me on hold again. Then he stated the perscription was not in stock and they would have to order it. I said when will it be ready. He said tomorrow. I said no problem. He put me on hold again. He came back on the phone and said they have a special on my perscription today for $65.00.... hmmmm I said ok. He put me on hold again. My parents are both 93 and have been moved to a Senior care residence. I needed to relocate their pharmaceutical provider and Walgreens is very close. All I had to do was call Walgreens, they called the previous pharmacy, Ron's Pharmacy, and got all the prescriptions transferred. It was effortless. Yesterday I picked up a 2-month supply and was pleased to find it was lower prices than Ron's Pharmacy. The attendant was very helpful in locating the over-the-counter vitamins too! I wish I would have know how long the Covid-19 test results would take before I decided to go to Walgreens to get tested. I had looked at Rite Aid but their website said upto 72hrs to receive test results, compared to Walgreens website saying 24-48hrs so I chose to go with Walgreens. I had my test taken midday on Monday of this week and it is now Saturday early morning and my test results are still not processed, 5 days later. It would have been nice to know within the time allocated or at least even within 72hrs so that myself and my partner could have possibly gone back to work if my results were negative. Still waiting and now, to be honest I'm afraid they'll never come. Their only saving grace was that one of their customer service representatives who I spoke to yesterday (Friday) told me about some faster testing places closer to where I lived. I thought that was so kind of her to try and help me out. She alone has been the only positive experience of this whole process. read more

I drove up to get prescription the first time. Didn't have a problem as the RX was a transfer from another pharmacy. This time, I took a hand written RX, went to the SAME drive-up window, only to be condescendingly notified, with exasperation from the pharmacist, that I was at the wrong window. Talk about immature, unprofessional, and totally unnecessary! I let the prescription expire from lack of pickup and transferred the RX to another pharmacy. I have a new Dr in Cypress and live in Lake Forest. I decided to use this Pharmacy to fill my prescription. After my Dr sent in the prescription I got a call from the pharmacy stating that because it was a pain medication and my Dr wasn't local even though I live here they would not fill it. They said the DEA won't allow them to fill the prescription. My Dr. said that is not true. Is be interested in seeing what Walgreens corporate would say. read more

THE GUY TOLD ME THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME AND CALLED ME PSYCHO...REALLY? This place deserves NEGATIVE stars. On this date I opted to take my prescription and go to Walgreens to see if they could fill it. Actually, I had my 26 year old son take it for me, because I am sick with the flu. When he got home he told me that AL had taken the script, and asked him all kinds of questions. He said he needed my insurance - ok. He said he needed my Driver's License. He made my son read a piece of paper taped on the wall that basically says they reserve the right to refuse to fill meds for anyone they choose. Then he told my son that he was going to have to call my doctor to verify the information on the prescription. Ok, whatever, I get it. It's a classified narcotic now and they don't know me. But when AL called my house a little while later he asked me what my diagnosis was. He asked me who my treating physician - my specialty physician is. He wanted his name and phone number so he could call him and "verify information about my diagnosis". He told me that my prescribing physician was "only a Primary Care doctor", and that he wasn't a "pain management doctor". I told him to never mind filling the prescription, that I would just come pick the script up. When I walked in and asked the man behind the counter if he was Al, as he was not wearing a nametag. He said yes, and I said that I was there to pick up my prescription, and that I had just spoken to him on the phone a few minutes prior. He asked my name, and I told him. I could tell that he had already an attitude with me. He handed me the prescription and then pointed to his little piece of paper taped on the wall and then in a rude voice said, "I told your son to read this when he came in." I said, "Now you're just being mean." He came out from behind the counter toward me, raised his voice and said, "I'm being mean? How am I being mean? I don't know what bee flew up your bonnet but there's something wrong with you." I said, "Excuse me, there's something wrong with me?" He said, "Yes, based on your behavior I'd say there's something wrong with you." I said, "You're ridiculous and if you don't stop I'm going to call the Police." Al said, "Go ahead - call the Police - I should call the Police on YOU." I said, "You're in trouble, I'm reporting this." I turned and began to walk out the door, when I realized that my son was still inside, and I could hear his voice and Al's. I turned around and walked back toward them and I heard my son say, "I just heard you, you called my Mom a psycho." I looked at my son, then looked at Al and I said, "Psycho? Are you kidding? Ok, that's it. This is all on video tape. I'm reporting you. It's all on tape, I'm calling corporate and they can pull the tapes." Then I told my son to just leave with me, and we walked out of the store. I could not believe the way that Al treated me. I could not believe that he told me to my face that there was something wrong with me, and then called me a psycho in front of everyone in the store.. I will NEVER go there AGAIN and would not recommend them for ANYTHING! 1/22/2015 - FOLLOW UP...So, I just spoke with Anthony Perez the District Manager of this store (who told me that he's never read these YELP reviews - go figure). Completely useless conversation. According to him, AL denies everything I said (really, what a surprise), and the tapes do not have any audio, so nobody can hear the conversation that actually took place. Even though there was a Pharmacy Tech there also, he's probably just going to say whatever Al tells him to so he can keep his job. In other words, it's Al's word against mine - so my version never happened. Walgreen's is not going to take ANY action against Al (per Anthony), and that's that, case closed. My husband and I had the worst expierence and we are long time Walgreens customers. We recently moved to the area and naturally transferred our prescriptions to our new local walgreens. Well based on both of our experiences that were on separate days we will not be going back to any walgreens. We were both treated with such rudeness and lack of customer service. In my experience the pharmacist choose to give her two cents rather then do her job. I was in tears by the end of the call. This Walgreen's is OK with me, however, my old Walgreen's that I use to go to was a 24 hour store. I am used to being able to go any time of night to pick up my prescription especially if I forgot to pick it up. However, this store that I go to now since I have moved is not a 24 hour store and closes early on the weekends. I do have to mention that it seems as if all of the Walgreen's are now requried to close for lunch so you now lose that hour. Otherwise, I have not had a bad experience with them, my prescription is always ready waiting for me when I go to pick it up!!! read more
