NEVER go here. I had a seizure at this Walgreens in February....I needed to leave the store ASAP, but not only did they detain me, (because they thought I was shop lifting!) but they said to me, my husband, and my nurse, that I was being used as a cop-out and that I was "faking" my seizure...apparently, having a seizure is a good excuse to make when you want to shop lift. I've been banned from this Walgreens, but because I am in a wheelchair, this is the only Walgreens I can get to in order to get my Medicine. Walgreens was (and I quote,) "nice enough" to let me come to this location "if I only get my medicines"..apparently, I need an escort. And so does my husband and nurses. Since February, we go to get my medicine (which is for my seizures, BTW,) and EVERY TIME I try to flag an "escort" down, they make me wait for 10-25 minutes, OR they just wave me back to go into the pharmacy ON MY OWN. Yesterday, my husband and I were stood up by 2 employees. They made it a point to turn their name-tag around so we couldn't see their name. They attempted to arrest my husband for being a co-hort in "another theft attempt", in which he said, "I'm just with my wife. We're getting our meds." He explained that we tried to flag someone down, but no one came to help us. The lady manager called him a "c*nt" and a "b*tch" and told him to "die in the street" and that she was going to call the cops. And she told him "I hope you bitches die because you are awful for what you do to this store." My husband asked her to do, please call the cops, because he wanted to make a report on her. She told him that she would have him arrested for "hostility", but he was listening to his iPod in a great attempt to block out the manager's harrassment. I did not get my pills because after they threatened my husband, (they never did try to call the cops because they didn't want him to make a counter-report,) they kicked me out of the store and told me to "never come back and go to another f*cking Walgreens , you c*nt".... and then the male manager followed us across the street when we were crossing the street to go home. He told me he didn't know where my medicine was sent, but that they filed a report and had my medicine "filled an an unknown location". I kid you not, 5 minutes later, I got an automated text via my cell-phone...it was Walgreens. They have a system that texts me when my pills where ready. What the hell. I almost asked my husband to call the cops to help escort me to Walgreens...again!.....but my nurse decided to help me if my husband stayed home (since they were assuming my husband was a "threat" and was "stealing" -- again....what are these people smoking?! This Walgreens is worse than a crack house!) We went into Walgreens once again, and I waited 15 minutes for an escort. I asked SEVERAL people to escort me, and they told me "no". I waited and waited and waited and waited. Finally, I just went back to the pharmacy...what's the worst that can happen? If they called the cops, I would personally make an ADA compliant. I have lawyers in my family, and I don't think they realize this, but this is a REAL LEGAL CONCERN. I finally got my medicine, and...get this! I saw the male manager AND the harrassing female manager, and they didn't do a damn thing about me getting my pills. Actually, the guy smiled & waved at me! He smiled at me! What a nice guy. The female manager was VERY grumpy and she looked like she was going to verbally assault me, but I guess she just didn't feel like going another round. I'm calling my ADA advocate on Monday and seeing if there is something I can do. This is illegal in California, and in the US, there is a federal law against violating the rights of disabled people. I don't feel safe here. I really don't. If I ever see these people outside of Walgreens, I think I'll start crying & screaming simply because I am so messed up about this. I just hope I am able to get some sort of legal help. read more

If I can get a zero, it will suffice. 1 star is generous given the incompetence of these filipinos working here. they are rude and unprofessional. Case in point, I ask for a pair of cleaning clothes. The employee just pointed the item with her lips like a monkey. I asked if they have other options, to which she mentioned, "no." I looked on the other side aisle with household items and found couple more items. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? Obviously, incompetency runs in this location. This is NOT the first time this happen. This location doesn't have any standard of guest service etiquette as other Walgreens. It has a very poor service. They have unfit and unqualified customer service employees working here. It's disgusting and pathetic. Just read some reviews here after posting this review and apparently, Im not the only one who has issue with their rudeness and incompetency. The management really needs to look into these reviews seriously. This is not an exaggeration. read more

this is a centrally located store in Downtown Oakland. It is clean and neat. it is a full service store. there is a security guard in the front entrance. (nobody is going to try to rob the store during open hours because it's open daytime in the bustling downtown location, so he is not needed there. it's not a high crime store). the check-out cashiers are rude, they don't listen, and they rush you by pressing the buttons for you on the payment keypad, as if by now everybody doesn't know how to use them where they have been merchant industry-standard for 20+ years. it is very annoying and I always have to tell them to back off, I got it. the last time I was there, the cashier pushed my headphones off the table as she was putting an item in my bag. again, they are just not awareness minded of their customers motions and abilities. and the pressing keys for you on the keypad is a big issue they need to resolve. it's disrespectful. read more

You can totally tell the age of a store at a location by how wide the aisles are. Or you can tell how long it has been since they remodeled the joint. At this Walgreen's it has been a while. The aisles are narrow and it is easy to get a little claustrophobic here. I came in for a very specific clearasil ultra pads. Cleaning for your puss I guess, it was for a female lady girl type woman. I had an empty to get the right thing (thank God) and the clerk took me right to it. And I appreciated that she didn't say "aisle 7" or some such thing. I got that across the street at Rite Aid, which has a more modern interior, but way poorer customer service. read more

Maybe one of the worst Walgreens in the United States of America. Christmas day I went in to buy some allergy medicine. I watched as a man stole 11 jugs of laundry detergent.also the employees watched. outside the store where crazy people screaming on the street. If you survive this Walgreens, you might walk out with what you need. I say don't risk it. read more

Simply enjoyable place for me to get my prescription filled. I like the automatic call back, also the fact I can pick up much needed items while I am waiting and sometimes purchase them on sale. Pleasant shopping atmosphere. read more

They always have everything in stock, but never decide to go here unless you have a lot of spare time. Long lines are always available.

Convenient location. You know what they have. Not a quiet location so there will almost always be a wait.
