The employee was just leaving and told me we changed the hours a year ago, but I did not know I always go by there on public transportation never noticed the sign had changed, then the employee tell me what you can go to CVS or you can go across town to the other Walgreens on sylvan, Coffee I drove my wheelchair just to get to this Walgreens on McHenry and your employee is telling me to drive my wheelchair to Sylvan and coffee Road. I'm not in a car. I'm in my electric wheelchair. How rude of your employee. At least I know now I can't go whenever I need to to do my shopping or get emergency supplies at Walgreens since you changed your hours thanks for nothing!!

Called since noon, meds not ready. On hold for nearly an hour, until I drove there. Meds still not ready 6 hours later.

Once again I asked for help, and someone finally came to take care of the folks waiting on the return line. This was one of the worst customer experiences I've had in my life. No more on-line shopping at Walmart making a return is usually an awful experience.

They typically don't have anyone attending to the ice cream station permanently. So, just let them know you would like ice cream (if they are not on a break, they will come right over). Otherwise, it might take 10 minutes or so. The last employee waiting on us gave us a difficult time, not sure why. While in the store, I love to look at seasonal or clearance items. Last time we picked up some Easter baskets and items for 90% off! Wow! What a good deal!! The little fan in the photo was only 69 cents. The baskets filled with candy and toys were a few dollars each (regular price was $29.99). Amazing price! The rest of the store area is fine as far as ambiance. They are a grocery/drug store, so they are stocked with several shelf-stable food items (small refrigerated section too), they have OTC medications, household items, some medical equipment, candy, toys, and seasonal items. I would recommend this place! I enjoy the taste of the ice cream and it is reasonably priced too! Two thumbs up! :)

However, Gracie has been very short, rude, and passes your call on to a pharmacist when she could have assisted the customer. The transition to another pharmacy has been very professional, welcoming, outstanding, and delightful. Also, I would like to mention that my family and I are really going to miss Gloria the pharmacist and Nicole.

There have been many times she's helped us navigate through difficult situations, but there is one I remember in particular that stands out. Our insurance had overcharged us for medication that we could have gotten in the generic brands. We didn't realize it, and paid, then went on about our day. Cristen called us quickly to let us know that she'd found our exact medications cheaper, and asked us to come in for a refund. While we were there, she went through an itemized list for the previous fills, (because my husband is on several medications per month) and discovered that we were able to get refunded on them all. She had the cash ready for us, receipts exchanged, and thanked her profusely. She saved us over $200 in prescriptions and told our insurance company off. Needless to say, we switched insurance. We left Oakdale Pharmacy, for a few months due to a move. Now we're back, and I couldn't be happier. Cristen will catch prescription order mistakes, make sure your medications are safe for you, that nothing interacts, and if it does, collaborate with your doctor to find an alternative. She fills promptly, on time, and is fast and super friendly. She asks questions, yes. Because she is a great pharmacist, who knows most of us are just trying to get by, and that we don't need the hassle of trying to navigate a complex medical system. I don't have to worry about our meds with her. It's a huge relief. You're not just another profit here. You're family.

I spoke to a representative and was told that they are still working on it and it should be ready soon. I told her that the prescription is time sensitive and if they can please fill it as soon as possible. She said that they are working on it right now and that it will be ready soon. I didn't hear back from them and called towards the end of the day to ask for an update. I was told by another representative that they actually do not have the item and that they placed an order for it. It should be available on Monday. When I told her the situation and that I was already told that it would be available today, she responded that they are not talking new patients at this time and that they should not even be filling my prescription. She said I should have called yesterday to see if they would accept my prescription and not assume they would fill it. Additionally during our conversation as I was explaining why this prescription was so important she started speaking to a customer. I would understand if it was an urgent matter but she was asking the customer how her day was going and mentioned she hadn't seen her in a while. I wish there was an option to provide 0 stars as a 1 star review is still too much credit for the experience I had.
