This pharmacy is consistently a hit or major miss. At times they are out of medicine that is ordered for me once per month, and least one week ahead of when needed. They do not communicate this properly as well. Some associates are lovely and others do not show common sense or good customer service skills. They consistently do not take cars in the order they showed up in the drive through pharmacy line. You typically will spend around 20 minutes waiting per car in the drive through pharmacy line. I think I'm done here. It's time to switch! Don't waste your time is my opinion. read more

Friendly staff and they seem fully hired. But as with all Walgreens every pharmacy is hugely busy and they all look over worked. Walgreens corporate needs to take a look at how to better manage their pharmacies,..their staff deserve the support. read more

Absolutely horrible service at this pharmacy. Important medications are always out of stock. It takes 30+ mins to get in touch with anyone in the pharmacy. Majority of the time you're disconnected. There is zero communication from the pharmacy staff. There are times that you're lucky if the pharmacy is even open. I understand the staffing shortage. Maybe if they reviewed why all of the excellent staff left then they could make some changes in order to keep staff. They have lost all of their good pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and store managers. After 10+ years of using this pharmacy and shopping in this store, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

pharmacist is rude and did not care that the generic drug that they changed me to, unbeknownst to me, was not working the way the previous one worked. he actually said "What am I going to do with those pills?"when I asked to re order from the previous company. He kept trying to convince me that maybe I wasn't taking the pills and that's why they weren't working. or why was I calling after a month and not right away. he finally said he was too busy to talk to me any more about the situation and told me he'd call me back. I called another Walgreens and that pharmacist was nice and reordered pills that worked for me. he even made sure to give me only enough pills to get me to the next time my insurance would cover them. I would recommend walgreens in Lake Villa. read more

The service here is absolute crap. Brynna and the fill-in pharmacist Joanne do NOT know how to treat people. My first incident with Joanne, she sat here and told me that me, being a type one diabetic, can wait for my insulin until the following week. She then went behind the counter and started talking about me loudly as if I couldn't hear her saying that I was not a priority because insulin can be substituted, which in fact I would die without my insulin. Brynna, yesterday, did the exact same thing. I told Brynna that if I end up in the hospital for my diabetes again, she would be getting my hospital bill since she did not care to help me. I take two completely different insulin and she kept bringing up the wrong insulin and when I would correct her and tell her the insulin I WAS looking for, she said I was lying and I don't take that insulin. She went as far as to tell me she wasn't going to help me any further and then went behind the desk and started crap talking me AGAIN. Every single month, I refill my insulin through the app and it tells me that the prescription is ready and I get the automated call that my prescription is ready, but when I go into Walgreens to pick it up, they tell me the prescription does not exist and I have to wait for my doctor to send a new one. EVERY SINGLE MONTH. I go days without insulin when I need a refill, ending up sick or in the hospital because of this. Twice last year I went into DKA because of Walgreens employees complete lack of care and intelligence. I will no longer be going through this Walgreens and will be calling corporate on behalf of Brynna. I want to thank Dimitri and the nice black girl that's always there for their help but as far as the rest of the Walgreens Pharmacy employees, you'll all be reported. No wonder this pharmacy was shut down for a while, it's complete shit. read more

This is a regular Walgreens store with a pharmacy (including the drive-thru). It's a smaller store but I like it because it's convenient for me and I stop by here when I'm in the area. They got plenty of parking space and it's convenient because there are two entrances, from Route 45 and from Stearns School Road. They also have very friendly customer service people and in my experience they really go above and beyond to help you if you need to find something. I've been to some stores before where people act like they really don't care so this is definitely a breath of fresh air. read more

I am mainly writing this review for the pharmacy. I live literally a block from CVS. I had used them for our pharmacy for years until a very bad situation, so we switched to Walgreens. Based on our years of bad experiences and bad customer service at CVS, this Walgreens was the biggest blessing. From the start, we were easily able to transfer our prescriptions over online. It does take some time to set up online, but its easy. For anything CVS didn't transfer over - Walgreens called our doctors for us! They do everything for us! It is truly the lazy man pharmacy and I love it. Refills are easy - they will literally email you and all you have to do is reply! Refills over? They call your doctor. The list goes on with what they do, but I love them! I am mad at myself for not switching to them sooner. I would have saved a lot of time and energy and not had nearly as many meltdowns as I did with CVS. Thank you Walgreens!! read more

I love this place! There's a CVS much closer but I have a 20 year grudge with them. And this particular Walgreens is so nice. They always greet you when you come in. They remember who you are. They smile. They're friendly and helpful. Reminds me of the pharmacy I used to work at, until CVS bought it and ruined it. Great place. read more

DO NOT go there to get your photos done unless they have changed their equipment. Consistently their photos are dull or whitewashed. I complained and really did not get any help. I love Walgreens but this one is not the greatest. Since they are on every street corner I will go to the one in Lake Villa again. Better service. read more

The absolute WORST Pharmacy I have ever dealt with, EVERY order is a problem. Sometimes after they call you and you get there they cannot find your prescription? Other times the pill count in the bottle and what you get is wrong and nobody mentions that. I just spent 30 minutes of my life over the past two days trying to get a refill on a generic prescription THEY ORIGINALLY FILLED??? I left disgusted without the prescription. I'd rather drive another 6 miles to Osco than to ever have to deal with this crowd again. Oddly enough I had filled a prescription a mere 10 day ago at the Walgreens on Almond Road in Gurnee without a problem. These guys even had my wife's birth year wrong in their computer and wanted to argue that I had it wrong? These clowns were 10 years off. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. read more

This Walgreens is wonderful. Brad the pharmacy manger is extremely friendly. The staff pharmacist Dimitri is also just as friendly. Robin the service clerk always has a smile on her face. I enjoy seeing them all. The store has gotten a bit dirty though and the store manager isn't very friendly. read more

This is, by far, the BEST Walgreens pharmacy around. When dealing with monthly meds, you'd expect your local pharmacy to keep them in stock. (Looking at YOU Lake Villa) Our family switched to the Lindenhurst location 2 years ago and haven't looked back. This is for the pharmacy. I just waited 25 minutes on the phone for them to answer. When they did answer they spoke so fast you couldn't even understand it. My husband and I have both experienced poor customer service from the pharmacy. Plan to switch to another company. read more

I've been to many different Walgreen locations, have had prescriptions lost and even yelled at by a pharmacist for an order written by doctor. We are now being told to shop CVS and Meijer to price shop and some prescriptions may be free with the current insurance plan. My pharmacy personnel, not just the big guns D & B, are all caring and considerate. They have caught a number of errors that would have caused me to have adverse reactions. Their hours are the ONLY convenient ones for our schedules based on the other pharmacies in this area. I have neither the time or energy to even call around to price shop and have no desire to start now. I know when the doctors are unavailable this is one group of knowledgeable people that are available. It doesn't cost several hundred dollars to "walk-in their door" for answers either. This is also the only pharmacy that understands all the medical issues I personally have as they have "been along for the ride" and always go above and beyond for us as well as all their other customers. read more
