Constantly lie saying waiting for the fax from Dr's Office is it just me, I feel very direspected by person in pharmacy because he purposely makes me wait in drive thru until I get so frustrated I freaking leave, without my meds. If I could give it a NEGATIVE amount of stars, I would. I have worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, and if I ever treated my patients the way these pharmacy employees treat patients, I would only be employed for a short time. It is almost impossible to connect to a human being who works in the pharmacy. This is not Round Lake Walgreens' fault, however. Automatically connecting all incoming calls to some call center (in some random country, I'm sure) is a CORPORATE and abysmal decision. I am not oblivious to the fact that the volume of prescriptions that these poor people have to deal with, 24 hours a day, is something that I could never deal with. Why is it the individual patients' fault (problem) that the orders never stop? I have several chronic illnesses that require several medications. I am a great historian concerning my medications, when my refills are due, which ones need a prior auth, and how much each should be. I have been CONSISTENTLY "talked down to" at this pharmacy. They ALWAYS think they can talk OVER me; however, I am pretty assertive and do not allow such behavior. If a person feels overwhelmed by or possesses a negative attitude towards the environment in which they are employed, they should seek DIFFERENT employment!! The cherry on this Round Lake Beach Walgreens Cake is their (insert expletive of your choice here) attitude towards and judgment of those of us who take Adderall. I suffer from narcolepsy and must take this medication whether I like it or not. I take it as prescribed, don't sell it for cash, and the physician who prescribes it for me should be the one to decide how this medication is handled. I am not sure exactly when it happened, but somehow the "friendly neighborhood pharmacist" I used to see as a child had morphed into being narcissistic and judgemental with a God-Complex!! As the old saying goes, "Just because you wear a white coat, that doesn't make you a doctor". Pharmacists have complete discretion concerning when your "Schedule 2" medication can/will be filled. It doesn't matter if your PHYSICIAN calls them and gives them a VERBAL INSTRUCTION of when to fill the prescription...they do as they see fit and then hide behind the following statement; "It is MY license on the line if you are getting this refilled too soon". Therefore, should this narcissistic bully decide they don't like your "tone of voice", the words you are choosing, or "the looks of you", guess who isn't getting their medication when their PHYSICIAN WANTS THEM TO HAVE IT! 2 stars for being open 24 hours. But my immune-compromised child (due to a rare disease) waited over 8 hours for antibiotics when I was told 2 hours. She got sicker by the hour. Turns out the meds WERE ready within 2 hours and waiting in a bin, but no one bothered to actually scan it in as ready. No one asked to verify her address when I paid. There were no syringes or medicine cup dispensers with her liquid. Also the drive-thru is painfully slow. I understand staff shortages but this Walgreens has struck out for the last 8 years I've lived in this area. I use it as a last resort only. read more

This is, by far, the worst walgreens I've ever been in. The service is terrible. The staff is incredibly slow and most of them seem miserable. The pharmacy is particularly awful, today I spent an hour in line to pick up a prescription. There were 3 people ahead of me when I got on line, by the time I was served there was easily a dozen or more people behind me. For 30 minutes there was no one at the counter... AT All. Think the drive through is a better option? Think again, that takes at least an hour too. I'll give it 2 stars for the photo department, I use their services regularly and im usually satisfied with price, quality, and speed. Overall, unless you want some photo prints take your business elsewhere. Take your prescriptions to a different Walgreens, theres one not far from here. If I could give 0 stars I would! Especially to their, under trained, disrespectful pharmacy staff...and I haven't even mentioned the pharmacist yet. This on lady pharmacist too it upon herself to not fill one of my pain medications because she didn't feel comfortable. It's not your job to feel comfortable, it's your job to fill prescriptions and to tell us of any interactions! That's it! All our doctors can see our prescriptions, they all know what we are talking and why. So just do your jobs and the staff... start for #1 at least acting like you want to be there and stop moving like you're carrying lead in your pockets! I've reported this pharmacy to head office and certain people, 4 times, nothing was done and nothing got better. So I finally went out of my way to a different Walgreens and they should feel lucky I stayed with their company at all! Oh then there's this one guy who's Spanish, I think, that walks around looking over everyone's shoulders like he's doing something, if fact he does nothing but walk back and forth. He doesn't even answer the phone except to put them on hold...again. Yeah don't bother trying to call there cause they won't answer! They'll keep pushing you on hold until you get disconnected. I went to this Walgreens on a Tuesday around 8:30pm Pharmacy tech was smiley and very helpful. Pharmacist used a voucher to allow for my Covid shot to be covered completely ($150) administered my shot with ease. The lady at checkout was also very nice greeted with a smile. These other reviews I read prior to coming had me nervous but I did not experience any of the negative things mentioned by other people. read more

I work at a dental office and regularly call in prescriptions for patients. Today was UNBELIEVABLY horrible with the Rollins Walgreens. I confirmed not once but twice with two different people that they received it at the pharmacy. Patient calls back an hour later says she's there and they are saying no one ever sent a script. LIVID for making me look like I didn't do my job, I call them. On hold for ten minutes, then the automation says "they're on a meal break". Fine. Call back at 1130, I'm on hold for 30 minutes before I call on my personal cell phone and get this.... The kid I talked to previously goes "uhhh yeah we have it here". I demand he call the patient personally and inform her it was there all along like he had said an hour and a half ago. He brushes me off. Thirty minutes later the patient calls AGAIN and says she's there and they are saying they never got a script request for her. And yes, I confirmed the right pharmacy with the patient and the Walgreens. This pharmacy is horrid and I cannot believe the incompetence I dealt with from 930 until 1230 with them. read more

NEVER AGAIN FOR THIS PHARMACY!!! They filled a prescription for my son two weeks ago and I was notified via text from Walgreen's telling me the prescription would be delayed and that there was no action required on my part and that the pharmacist was reviewing the prescription. I gave them a week and called to find out what was going on. It turned out there was an issue processing it through insurance. The gentleman I spoke with told me, "Well, it's good now and the prescription is ready. The total will be $30." I went in the next day (last Sunday) and they had returned it to stock since I didn't pick it up within so many days of it being called in. They said they would refill it. I returned today to find out they put it back again. I'm done with Walgreen's. I'm switching to CVS. I went back just before 6:30PM and spent over 30 minutes arguing with them. I have a coupon on file that drops the copay on one of the drugs to $30. It's worked the previous two months. In fact, the tech I spoke to on the phone last week told me the prescription is ready and it would be $30. The tech tried charging me the full $60 copay. I told her the coupon was on file, but sent the hard copy I had in my car. She came back and said it was good for one use only. I told her it's good for once a month though the end of the year. She said they put the code in and the computer said it was good for one use only. I downloaded another coupon on my phone and told her I was sending my phone through the drive through in case it's a different code. She asked if I wanted to just come in. I asked how many people were in line and she said 5. I told her, "No, I'll send my phone through. I'm leaving this spot until this is straightened out. This is my third attempt to get this prescription because you guys keep putting it back before the deadline to pick it up." I sent my phone through and my phone would have been locked by the time they got it. She said the code came back with the same result. I asked her, "How did you get the code off my phone?" She asked, "What do you mean?" I asked her, "How did you unlock my phone to look at the code?" She responded, "Sir, the information was the same on the paper and your phone. The coupon is good for one use only." There is absolutely no way they retrieved the coupon information from my phone. I ended up just paying the full copay, but look at the attached images. The first two pictures are of the paper. The last picture is a screenshot of the coupon I downloaded. The ID# is most certainly different. read more

The floating Pharmacist should be fired. I travel for the railroad in multiple states. Sometimes that means my doctors office has to call in a prescription. I have been getting the same prescription for the last 6 months and have never had a problem, this floating pharmacist refused to fill my medication because my doctor is a plastic surgeon... he has all the approved licenses, everything he is supposed to have. He has the special DEA number to prescribe that medication. He hung up on me, he refused to talk about it. I spoke with the store manager about it, he was extremely nice and told me he would get to the bottom of it. read more

We had to move our prescriptions from Walgreens to another place. We had too many instances of them losing our prescriptions and having to wait so long in line to get them. The staff is friendly, but the company needs to reorganize the system. The pharmacists have WAY to much work to do that they cannot get everything done, causing long waits and misplaced prescriptions, plus having to give vaccinations in between. They work hard, but they can't do everything. Walgreens needs to up their game and make refilling easier. read more

I am so shocked to come home and see these reviews. I was just denied my medication after a day in the ER. The pharmacist would not even come to the window to talk to me. He lied and said he called my doctor to confirm, but couldn't reach anyone... I called in the car and they said that nobody has called to confirm anything. They also said that he should not be denying my medication. And to have him call them. I called the pharmacy to get the pharmacist on the phone and they just let it ring. I called back and was transferred to the pharmacy three separate times and no one ever came to answer my call. I called again to ask for the pharmacist name and they would not give it to me. I called again and spoke to the nighttime manager who was very sweet, but she also was not able to get his name. I am going to speak to The general manager and I'm going to report him to the Illinois Department of professional regulation's. He absolutely is not in the business of helping people. These reviews are very sad and this should not be tolerated. If he had general concerns he could've at least came to the window and spoke to me directly. So I signed up for a vaccine appoint on November 10 and they clearly state that insurance is not required for administration of the new booster for covid 19. They told me to come in on November 17 for a voucher so that would be covered, which I did go in for them just to say that they didn't have any and that free vaccinations would be on another location which is 30 minutes away. Wasted my time not just once but twice. I didn't have time on my second attempt to get the free vaccine place because I have other things happening at those hours which wouldn't be a problem if I could had planned it better but bad communication of what was happening. Some of the worst and most careless, low quality customer service of any Walgreens in the county. I finally switched my prescriptions to a different pharmacy after 9 years of using Walgreens, but I'm still forced to call Walgreens for work (healthcare) on a near daily basis. This morning, I wasted a half hour of my life calling this particular pharmacy, choosing the doctor line, and being repeatedly put on hold and then hung up on without anyone saying a word. This has been going on for months. I have reached out to in-store managers asking for their staff to please simply answer the phone, nothing. I've reached out to Walgreens on social media, nothing. I've filled out the customer service form on their website MULTIPLE times stating that as both a customer and a healthcare provider, their service is simply unacceptable. ZERO response. I'm so unbelievably fed up after so much time playing Walgreens' games. Seriously done. Worst pharmacy experience ever! Since I don't have INS I pay out of pocket for all of my Scripts. The Scripts I get are roughly $700 for all 3 out of pocket. So I can't alway pick them all up at the same time. So I stagger them for pick up about every 2 weeks. I'll normally pick up 2 then the 3rd one 2 weeks after that due to the way I get paid. However when I explain what I want to do over the phone to this pharmacy staff. It's usually not a problem until I go back to pick up my 3rd script 2 weeks later. They have a bad habit of only looking on the computer which shows my script was ready 2 weeks ago but they can't tell if I ever picked it up or not, Ridiculous! I have to explain myself 3 times for them to say oh yeah it's been ready for 2 weeks now. That's after they have to do some investigation work to track my script in their pharmacy rather than their messed up computer system! If I could give it zero stars, I would. I stopped going here many years back after I was told by pharmacy staff they could "no longer afford to care" for my sons prescriptions. He had 2 that needed to be brand name, both authorized by the doctor, and we were double covered as far as insurance goes (private/state as a secondary). That absolutely floored me and disgusted me at the same time. Then a Rx was called into here for a nebulizer. In case you're unaware, a nebulizer is a breathing treatment. Here it is March 3rd, I was told it would be in 2 days ago, then yesterday, and now today a "piece is missing". On a prescription for someone that's having breathing difficulties. TOTALLY INCOMPETENT. Avoid at all costs. ***EDIT***: a couple things. When I first went by to pick up the prescription, I was told by a female technician that it was "missing parts" and "they would be in tomorrow" (the following day). Two days later, I call to find out what's going on with it. A gentleman answers the call, says there was a problem with the "way the doctor wrote the script". So 4 days ago, when the order was placed, it was "confusing" them. "Did anyone follow up on the script?", I asked. He put me on hold, came back and said he "just faxed the doctor". Because no one can give me THE TRUTH, I called back and spoke with a pharmacist named Christopher (?). He said initially it had to do with the way the script was written, but then said it had to do with "more information being needed by the insurance company". I asked if I can assist, he said no. So for a BREATHING APPARATUS (nebulizer) to be going on 5 days without being filled, I'm pretty irritated. Pharmacy is really bad. They didnt fill my prescription for pain meds for my surgery as they got confused and didn't even bother to call me to get clarification. I spoke with Martin at approximately 830pm on a Thursday to see if the prescription was ready for pickup. He said there was confusion and that they would take care of it, said it would be ready at 10pm. I called at 10pm to confirm and and spoke with marvin again apparently there was still confusion. He said the pharmacist joseph refused to fill a 3 part order as as the insurance wouldn't cover one of the prescription. Marvin then hung up on me. I tried to call back and was on hold. I decided to drive to the store to straighten out. Long story short, I would never trust coming here again, if they cant use a little common sense to solve a very minor question, What confidence do I have that the meds are correct? read more

The health center there sucks. They don't respect appointment times or appointments period. They tell you that they'll place an appointment for the next time you're scheduled to come so they don't make you drive all the way over there for no reason however they never g through with it. I wish they didn't over promise and under deliver. They turn you away or make you wait 2 hours. For instance I had an appointment for a vaccination that I needed for school and when I went in at 11 when my appointment was scheduled for, I wasn't seen until 12 o'clock because there were walk-in patients before me. What's the point of having an appointment if walk-in patients get taken before you anyways? Then they had said they were going to schedule my follow up appointment for me because it was a two-part vaccine which they never did. I get there today and my appointment is invalid "there is no appointment for this patient" therefore I have to wait two hours just like a walk-in. They are a complete joke and once I get this second vaccine I will never come here again. read more

Pharmacy is probably the worst I've ever experienced. A script coming straight from their clinic took 45 minutes, and what's worse is that it was eye drops that they just pulled from the shelf. Usually I wouldn't mind, but I was there with my sick toddler waiting. Terrible!! After I went to the counter to ask on an ETA, they hadn't even started to put it together. After I asked, "Oh, it will just be 5 minutes" The worst part of my experience was with the clinic. The receptionist was very nice. The healthcare provider was AWFUL!!!! He was incredibly rude and treated me as if I had no idea what I was talking about. My three year old has had a number of ear infections, and usually shows his symptoms with pink eye. When I first mentioned this, he rolled his eyes at me and then said he had never heard of this. Weird, my child's pediatrician has confirmed this to be the case, as well as another Walgreens clinic. He then proceeded to have my three year old do an eye exam. UMMMM, for pink eye? The rest of the appointment was basically the healthcare provider making rude comments and questioning everything I said. Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor for my child. Don't have patience when it comes to care for my child. Will not be returning to this clinic and I'm switching prescriptions to the Hainesville location. read more

Employees have no record of my request and no idea why my prescription wasn't transferred. I didn't even receive a phone call to tell me there was an issue. I have been to this Walgreens 3 times now in 5 days, and still have been unable to pick up my medication. The first time I waited in a two lane drive up line for over 30min, and they only had one person partly working both lanes. I couldn't get my medication at that time because they had failed to contact my previous pharmacy for the script (as they said they would when I was on the phone, and that i could pick it up the day after next). I went to the inside next time, and spent 20min while they tried to figure out in the system what was going on, and they didnt have it ready or in stock, though I was told I would be able to pick it up. I was told I would be able to pick it up on Monday. On Monday I went back, to the two lane drive up, and again waited over 20min because they only had one person working both lanes. I got to the window, and was told they still didnt have it ready, and that they weren't sure if it had arrived yet. I asked for them to check on it because I wasn't going to come back a fourth time and wait another 20-30min. The guy walked away from the window and came back and said, "well sir, that is what you are going to have to do." Following up via phone 6 hours later to check on the status, because I never heard from them, I have been on wait over 90min and had to call in 4 times just to get booted off after 25min each time. This is medication I started trying to pick up 5 days before my last dose, and I still am waiting for it. Utterly ridiculous, and the level of customer service received has been below average. Poor management and poor organization. I was forced by my insurance to have to move my prescriptions to this pharmacy in order to still receive my medications and be covered. I wish I could go back to my old pharmacy with better service and customer service. read more
