While I don't want to blame the employees here, the quality of care shown towards my ability to get my medication has been non-existent. They got a fresh prescription for my meds in five days ago, and when I called to see if it was ready for pick up today they said they still needed to order it. This isn't an uncommon medication, and the fact they didn't order it when the prescription came in is ridiculous to me. This is now my second time having a horrible experience at this Walgreens Pharmacy. I filled a prescription Thursday evening for a pick up later that night. I came in today Friday to pick it up before a weekend trip. My prescription was not ready and I was never notified about my insurance not going through. I was NEVER notified, that it did not go through due to this and I did not have the time to sit and wait 30-45 minutes for it to be filled with me waiting at the store after giving my new insurance or simply just paying the $20 without. Walgreens pharmacy should do better to notify its customers when there is an error so I could have resolved the issue yesterday rather than when I got to the pharmacy then having to wait that long for it to be filled when I did not have the time to do so. read more

I was just in Walgreens 1675 Coburg Road, Eugene OR and had a rather shocking experience. I was having trouble figuring out the card reader and the cashier got mad at me and finally snatched it from my hand and inserted it in the machine. She was so nasty to me I asked where the store manager was and she told me she was the manager. I said, "You might want to be nicer" and she replied "I don't have to be". This Walgreens drives me nuts. There's always something... - Diabetes section: We don't know a whole lot about diabetes since the patient is our cat and so we haven't had a doctor advise us on supplies. Unfortunately the staff here can't answer even the simplest, obvious questions about what they sell. - Slow: When you want to buy blood glucose test strips, you have to wait for someone to come help you. Last time the staff had to be paged TWENTY times before they show up. I wish I was exagerating. Every time you push the button, it starts paging them. Then every minute or so that it remains active, it pages the staff again. After 4 pages it stops. We had to push it FIVE times (about 20 minutes) before someone finally showed. How is that even possible in a store this small? You'd think one of them would walk by on accident by that time. - Photo section: Last time I had photos developed here, it included a photo of Emma Watson. I just got it off the internet and was printing it as part of a present for someone I know who's a big fan. The boy working behind the counter at the photo desk had seen the photo, but not recognized her. So he started asking me a bunch of questions about whether she was my sister, whether she was still in high school, where she lived, etc., fishing for her contact details!! WTF. He was actually trying to get me to set him up on a date with her *facepalm* Finally I just told him she's an actress (I was giving short yes/no answers before so he would stop asking me stuff and just run my damn credit card). Can these people please mind their own business and refrain from examining and commenting on my photos? They've commented on other ones too. Why? - The pharmacy. Why are they hiring retarded people to work at a pharmacy? Surely that's the last place for equal opportunity employment? We needed some syringes for our cat and had questions about what lengths and gauges they had available, as well as about the purpose of the different kinds. The guy working there was a complete moron. Over and over it would be non sequiturs or nonsensical answers like: Me: "So you have various gauges, is there any reason to choose a larger gauge rather than a smaller? Is there some benefit to that?" Him: "The bigger numbers are smaller needles." Me: "Yes, I know that. I'm asking: is there a reason someone would prefer a larger gauge needle?" Him: "Well, they're bigger than the smaller ones." Me: *facepalm* The woman behind him was able to answer a few questions but she was busy. In the end we just picked one, pretty much at random, because the guy seemed incapable not only of telling us anything about the syringes, but in fact of answering any question, of any kind, on any topic. It was like he couldn't even understand sentences of more than four words. I guess we're going back to Safeway next time we need diabetes supplies for the kitty, but it worries me that people like that guy are allowed to work there and serve people with serious medical needs. read more

This is just for the pharmacy - All you do here is wait. Every time. Wait. Wait. Wait. I've tried to overlook it for a while; some places just have bad days, but it's been 5 times now and every time you just wait way too long. My most recent visit I dropped off some prescriptions and said I'd come back. The lady working said, come back at 12:30pm and they will definitely be ready. I returned at 1:00pm, and used the drive through; no body was using it so i was the first one there. I proceeded to wait 5 min before anyone helped me. Once they did, the lady said, "Looks like i need to bag them up, just a second." FIFTEEN minutes later they brought them to the window. I'd assume they needed more then to 'just be bagged up.' I did notice there was one missing and when I asked how many there were, she said there's 2. I was suppose to get 3. Her response was, "Oh, looks like one is out of stock; we can order it for you though to pick up Tuesday (3 days later)". I felt like they just brushed that prescription under the carpet since it wasn't in-stock. Good thing I asked. Anyway, i'll be looking for a new pharmacy. read more

Dr. called in my prescription at 11 about didn't get prescription filled till the next day if they were out there should've called to say it'll be in tomorrow or if there's some kind of delay open communication there was nothing as a pharmacy tech I know the protocol that they should follow. I don't know if the store manager or district manager reads the yelp reviews but for the same complaint from most customers this really needs to be fixed it's a nice area of Coburg you think we would have a little bit better customer service at Walgreens read more

My son is a pharmacist so I hear all of the stories about working at pharmacies. This Walgreen's pharmacy is not a good one in my estimation. First they never have my prescriptions ready after the doctor calls them in. They are so slow every time. Not very friendly and helpful. They close at noon....ok everyone needs lunch but a lot of people go to the pharmacy (run errands) on their lunch break and this is a terrible time to close up. I've consistently had problems with this Walgreens over the past year and will no longer be using their pharmacy. I've always given them advanced notice when I need refills (we're talking a week to a week and a half when I request a refill) and every month, without fail, I have to call them to ask why it isn't ready. WHEN I'm able to get through on the phones, I usually get a non-empathetic response along the lines of "we ordered it, but we'll order it again" which to me means that they didn't order it at all. When I'm not able to get through on the phones, I stop in and usually have to wait while they figure out what's happening with my order. Nobody has been willing or able to communicate the issues to me. At one point, they told me that they didn't have it in stock and then upon checking their stock, they had it and were able to fill it. I understand that pharmacies are extremely busy and understaffed, but with advanced notice it shouldn't be hard to fill my single inhaler that I get every month. I've always been extremely nice to them, but when I have to wait over a week to get inhalers or antibiotics, it's unacceptable. I tried using the home delivery service, thinking it may be better but here we are, 9 days after ordering my prescription, and it still says "processing". I cancelled my refill and will be getting my prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy. read more

This pharmacy does not prioritize pediatric prescriptions, We found out the hard way. CVS was so quick and easy after transferring there... this pharmacy wanted to take a lunch break before getting pain meds to my child, even though they had had the prescription for three hours already. If I could give them zero stars, I would. ShopKo pharmacy closed and Walgreens took over my records. However, when I needed a refill for life sustaining medication, they had still not updated their system. I had to get emergency prescriptions from several of my healthcare providers. Even more frustrating - I was not informed that this change was happening, so I couldn't take advanced precautions. I found out my using the automated prescription refill line that directed me to Walgreens, where I was kept on hold for over 30 mins and answered by a rude member of staff who said it would likely take several weeks to get a refill. Well, I was going to write negative review about the toilet paper that I tried to buy here about 3 months ago. (Hostile employee, limit of 10 rolls without a sign saying so, etc, etc) but I never got around to it. Then I recently needed to pick up a small (8 pills) pain med prescription for my step-grandfather who was coming back from his post-op hernia visit with his surgeon who is a block away. The lady at the pharmacy counter was edgy and weird and I finally figured out that she was suspicious that I was a druggie writing my own scripts. I told her not to hesitate to call the surgeons office and then as we were wrapping up she told me that it would be ready in 2.5 hours and when I asked why she claimed that it was a Walgreen's policy for pain meds, that you could never pick them up right away. I took the paper script back, went to the Rite Aide on 29th and Willamette and they filled it right away without a blink. I don't intend to ever go to this Walgreens again, even if they do carry cheap toilet paper, it was a really icky experience... read more

Walgreens Pharmacy on Coburg Road in Eugene, Oregon is a disaster area, not a pharmacy. They managed to make FOUR major errors on my prescriptions this month (January, 2019). DO NOT DEPEND ON THEM TO FILL PRESCRIPTIONS! 1) I brought in a prescription from my doc with two medications listed, discussed each with the clerk, prior to giving her the prescription. Came back in 45 minutes, was handed a bag, paid for it. Got home and found only 1 of 2 meds inside. She hadn't said anything about it. I called and was told "Oh, we must have forgotten to enter it in our system." She couldn't get it ready in time and I couldn't go back to the store. It was a PAIN medication! I spent the night and part of the next day in agony, without meds. 2) On 1/20/19 I switched my prescriptions over to a different pharmacy. My doctors and I requested, on 1/20/19 that the prescriptions be transferred out. Today, 1/30/19 I called and was told that they had no record of the 1/20 calls and hadn't transferred them. 3) Earlier in January, 2019 the clerk charged me over $25.00 for a prescription under Medicare that could not have possibly been that expensive. She "looked it up" and told me she was right. I called Medicare and was informed she had overcharged me $20. something dollars! I will say that Walgreens was prompt with the refund. 4) In mid January I called the store to tell them not to give me phone reminders on 2 of my meds as they were one time prescriptions. I reminded them again when the phone calls continued! They are still doing it as of yesterday. The automated phone system does not allow the opportunity to cancel one specific medicine. I did business with the Walgreens in Springfield for over fourteen years with NEVER a problem. It is only the Coburg Road, Eugene, Oregon pharmacy that this pertains to. read more

I needed to wait for a prescription for my son who was having outpatient surgery but because it was a prescription for a narcotic they told me they couldn't fill it for at least two hours and because there were many people waiting before me they couldn't guarantee any time frame. Don't come here if you're in a hurry...plan on a trip to this pharmacy to be at least a half hour to 45 minutes, just to drop off. They have a drive thru for "convenience" it's anything but. I was on hold for 9 minutes and they would pick up the line and put it back on hold with saying a word. Painfully under staffed and their customer service is nothing to desire. I've tired to just deal with it but enough is enough since there are two other pharmacies within a block that are a lot easier to deal with. read more

The beginning of October my husband and myself when into the Walgreens on 57th and main in Springfield and we both got our flu shots and the new shingle 2 part shot. We pd for the deductible for the shingle shot and also bought some vitamins. Our bill came to 114.00 +/-. Twenty one hours later on Tues, at 9am my husband took a phone call from Walgreens (it was a young male worker in the pharmacy) call and stated that we had left the store without paying for our shots and said that we had shoplifted. My husband told him that was not so, that we had a receipt and the young male said that was not good enough and that we had to bring the receipt in to prove it!!! Needless to say we were not happy and we called and made an appt. with the store mgr to discuss the matter. Saw the mgr on Wed. approx 4pm and he was very passive and said he needed to talk to the pharmacy mgr and then the employee. We could not be present when they talked to the employee and also could not find out the punishment he would be receiving. Lets all protect the employee, to hell with the liable and slander to the customer. We did contact the headquarters about the situation and they did call us back and really didn't seem that upset over the situation. They are very fortunate that we did not get a good atty and sue the hell out of them. So much with doing business with Walgreens. read more

CONDESCENDING staff. My prescription was filled with half the prescribed amount. Clerk said insurance wouldn't let it being filled at prescribed amount, said it would be insurance FRAUD to fill it at the full amount (med not an opioid). How RUDE - implying I'd commit fraud! She called insurance, found out she should fill it at full amount. No apology. Then she said their pharmacy entered info incorrectly, and said I'd only get a quarter of the prescribed amount, but would pay the same co-pay as if I got twice as much. Waited in line for over 30 minutes. Over 25 of those minutes I was next in line, and only needed to drop off a perscription. An older woman who worked there kept helping people behind me who were picking up. She probably wasn't a pharmacist and only a cashier so that is understandable. There are three windows and two are being used. The other window was a pharmacist and she spent the whole time I was there working on 1 lady who had her try to rebill different insurances she had about 100x. Meanwhile I notice a car pulls up and another pharmacist comes over and helps them. And the next car. And the next car. And the next car. And the next car (5 cars!) The lady who wast the pharmacist then walks out and back into the main area of Walgreens. I hadn't been rude or anything, and I tried to ask her that since 5 cars were just helped before me while I was here before them should I just go through the drive though. She says I can't drop off there. After she walks by the lady behind me asked if I'd been here a while, noting it was the slowest one in all the places she's lived. She then noted that the employee BLATANTLY LIED TO ME and that she drops off her perscriptions in the drive through all the time. Last time I ever use that pathetic place. Only kept waiting because I couldn't possibly believe it was taking that long and would be called up next at any moment... It's not just waiting over 30 minutes it's being lied to and numerous other customers being helped before me while I was next in line. read more

Like others, there is not a zero star to select. Went to urgent care Thursday night. Prescription was written to Walgreen on Coburg Rd. because my regular pharmacy was closed. Went there, presented my prescriptions and was told by pharmacist that I could not have them filled. I asked why and was told they would be closing soon and it was too close to the closing time to fill a prescription. The store was open, my doctor emailed prescription to store. I was told to go to Walgreen's on River Road as they were open for another hour. I did. I was then told that the prescription could not be filled because they were doing inventory. It seems as if these policies are for customers they wish not to serve. There was not any sign indicating that prescriptions had to be presented at a convenient time for the pharmacist on Coburg Rd. There was not any sign that stated prescriptions could not be filled because of inventory at the River Road store. I ended up in the emergency room and that doctor there told me I have a good medical reason to initiate a legal challenge against both stores. I am so angry that I will certainly look into that. read more

I could have tolerated the 30+ minute wait to pick up my prescription each time, but the head pharmacist arguing with my doctor's prescription was ridiculous. The Coburg Rd Walgreens is the worst store to go to for prescriptions, especially the drive thru. First, when you pull up, you'll sit there for at least 20 minutes before somebody even acknowledges that you are even there. Second, after they see you, you'll sit there another 20 minutes waiting to get your meds, even if they were done with them 3 hours prior to you getting there. I've called into this pharmacy several times trying to find out about a prescription and have waited 20-35 minutes on hold each time. Do not get your prescriptions here if you value your time, it's not worth it just for the drive thru option. Go somewhere else!!! read more

I would like to give a negative review. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!! I have worked work the public for 15 years, retail, waitress, care giving, housekeeping and I am very patient and friendly with people who are on the job no matter where it is.. I had spent about 8 hours taking cans in for a program I was volunteering for and someone tipped me that Walgreens will take 144 cans per person per day, I called right before coming there to confirm and the lady told me that was correct. The girl who looked to be about my age (30) working in the photo department was the poor soul that had to get off her lazy apple and count my bottles (all water bottles and counted) was probably the rudest person I've ever come across in my life. I had my boyfriend bring in 144 water bottles as well because it was 144 per person per day and she said she wouldn't rake his, I asked why i called ahead and confirmed per person per day and she said you came together I said we didn't even come in the same vehicle, she said doesn't matter. I said I am not with him we didn't even come in at the same time she said I saw you two talking I won't take his and by this point I'm pissed because she was so shockingly rude while I'm doing something for charity and just cause she hates her life and her JOB doesn't mean she has to make mine harder. So I say this is unreal I even called ahead I wouldn't have wasted my time and I can't believe your talking to me like this I've never in my life had someone treat me so rude. She says well I could just refuse you service period at this time my boyfriend walks away cause he couldn't believe it and knew I was getting that crazy look in my eye and really cause a scene but I was too tired from spending the entire day taking in cans [you know how everyone loves doing that] and really was about to cry and said are you going to take them or not and she just stared me down and finally did her job but had to bring another employee with he and whisper the whole time. Jealousy is a sickness and this pig was needing the ER. All out of pure laziness was she rude to me. I couldn't believe how she treated me and every other store I called was so very nice this person was the only one who dared be rude to a girl doing charity.
