I came here very late and I was glad this Walgreens was open. I noticed everything in Bakersfield closes really early. It was dark out when I was driving over there so I thought maybe it wasn't going to be opened. Luckily, it was open! It was a relief. The only thing was that there was no cars in the parking structure. I was kind of scared because I am not use to seeing a 24 hour place empty. I walked inside and I didn't see anyone at the counter. I went ahead and looked for the baby orajel. It was on the top counter and I couldn't reach it. I was going to go call my husband in the car, but I decided to try and reach it someway. I just jumped and I caught it. Don't laugh. Yes, I am kind of short. There was only one left and there was a Walgreens brand one too. I took both because I didn't know which one to use. When I was ready to pay I was looking around and wasn't sure if I had to ring a bell or something. I was looking around and this girl comes out of nowhere. She assisted me and gave me a discount for the Walgreens brand because of my card. The walgreens brand was $3.99 and if i remember correctly the orajel was $6.99. I give them 4 stars because they were opened 24 hours and that to me is a huge plus. They also had a big parking lot. I didn't see anyone inside, but I didn't wait long when I had to pay. read more

I have been coming to this location for about 3 years. I used to live in a different area and had to transfer it here. Over time its gotten way worse. 1st of all the store has almost everything under lock and key. They have a system that notify you when your prescription is ready. Well I get the notification two days ago, come in and they never filled the prescription for my new heart medication. Do they think the doctor didn't request the meds because we need them, so fill the script. If your overwhelmed with customers hire more help. This is crazy. Then when you get notified do you still want the medication? Well what the heck I came two days ago when they said it was ready and it wasnt so of course yes I want it I need it. So I hate having to wait in line for 1/2 an hour tons of customers are tired of waiting but Im still here waiting. I even have a card on file for payment. There should be an express area for pick up. I cant get it delivered because Im an insurance patient with good insurance and I guess you can only get free delivery if your on medical or something like that. Us insurance patients have to pay for delivery. This is a joke and it sucks going to look into other means of getting my regular medications with my insurance carrier. read more

This is by far the WORST pharmacy I have ever been to. You can never get ahold of anyone over the phone. Expect to wait over 20 minutes or more on hold for someone to answer. I have even had instances where I have been on hold for over 20 minutes and then when someone finally answered the phone, they hung up on me! As others have mentioned, the wait times are ridiculous in store and in the drive through. It seems like every time I try to refill a prescription, there is an issue. I put in a refill request on Monday and it is now Friday and my prescription still has not been filled. I am almost out of my medication and I can't get ahold of anyone over the phone to figure out what the hold up is. Every month when it comes time to refill my meds, I deal with this. I plan to look for another pharmacy because this one is horrible. If I could give it no stars, I would. My recommendation to anyone who wants a pharmacy that is efficient and reliable, RUN far away from this place! read more

Absolutely ridiculous wait time for pharmacy! Plan on being in line for almost good hour and a half! This includes the drive thru! Absolutely beyond slow. You can literally watch paint dry faster! Do yourself a favor and pick a different pharmacy. Staff here could give a damn about service. I think a requirement to work here is you must hate your life and all people. Terrible place! Cant wait for this to go out of business too. read more

They don't answers phone calls. They don't explain when you medicines are done yet even though they told you, they will be ready soon.

You have to wait in line for a billion years and they said I got all my prescriptions. They were waiting for a dosage from the Dr. but said I could take it home and call the Dr. No problem, that's the Dr.'s fault. 2 days later I get a text for a prescription, I call and they didn't give me the prescription. So tomorrow another wait in that long line. When I was talking to the pharmacist, at the end of the call, he yells come now to get your prescription. Excuse me!!! You're ordering me around!! WTF!!! read more

Got stuck with this pharmacy and so far they have been awful. Just got disconnected after a long wait on hold and no call back. Forgot to order the shortage on a prescription and I was only in town another day. If given a choice I wouldn't go back....ever read more

wait time sucks at this walgreens when it comes to the pharmacy, i have been waiting five hours...mind you i have a highly contagious fever. do not recommend this walgreens pharmacy. read more

The cheap ass franchise owner doesn't have enough employees. ONE person goes from drive thru back to in store. I've had one car in front of me and STILL it took 45 minutes. I just got off the horrible answering process where prompts don't work and then when asking for pharmacy it sends me to photo. She transfers and i waited for about 100 rings. My doctor gave me a prescription 4 days ago I've been waiting for, BUT NOBODY informs me the insurance rejected it. What the hell is wrong with you people....its freaking people's health at stake here! This is simply venting because I know the owner doesn't give a $hit about patients. Only $$$$$$$! read more

This place is NEVER reliable when it comes to quickly picking up your medication. It's either an hour wait outside the window or a 15 person line inside. There has already been multiple times where I have been on my way to work thinking that I will quickly pick up my medication that they called me for conveniently just for it to not even be ready at the window. Why? Why not even be accurate on if the prescription is ready or not? Seriously don't even bother and just change your pharmacies. Trash service. Trash employees. Trash trash trash trash! Shut the place down already read more

Unbelievably slow service. Although trying to find a properly staffed pharmacy around here is difficult. Additionally, you can never get a live person on the phone. I going to try another pharmacy. Maybe it will be better. can't be much worse. read more

I am being generous with 2 stars. Pharmacy wait times in the store or in the drive through are very long most times. I have the On line website account to order and check status so I lower the chances of errors. However I often get a text and email saying my Rx is ready. When I arrive at the store it is not ready or it has been cancelled without explanation. I use Walgreen's because I purchased an expensive United Health Medicare Part D pharmacy plan and they partner with Walgreen's. I regret buying it mostly because of Walgreen's poor service. I am waiting for one prescription that is "out of stock" for nearly 2 weeks. No follow up. No updates. They just want me to keep calling the pharmacy. 15 minutes wasted every time. They are very good at apologizing for the inconvenience. I suppose the more you practice the better you get. read more

This is strictly for the pharmacy. Im a vet and i have to pay outright for my meds. Not only did they help with the cost but they pushed my medication so i could get it quicker. The whole pharmacy team was kind especially Melissa. They made a tough day easier to bare. Keep up the wonderful work! read more

continuous extremely slow pharmacy service. no exageration here. I am continually on hold for long periods of time. this particular time I called to check on my prescription status and again im waiting forever. this is fact: I am on hold right now as I'm righting the review and the continued hold time is 26:45 and counting I kid you not. one time during the call about the 17:00 minute mark a pharmacy tech picked up the phone and said "Pharmacy-hold please " with out waiting for a response so I was unable to let them know how long I was on hold. I am how going to put a line on hold and then merge the calls so they can listen to there hold music. this not the first time. I'm on blood thinners and cannot be off of them. however, I have been given the "Out of stock" message for the past 7 days and only have 2 days of supply left. I told my wife if something happens to me refer to this message to have a time line. terrible communication and service. changing pharmacies quickly. Later read more

Your cashiers from 4:20-4:35 pm on 03/13/1025 dont know how to do their jobs. Just talking to each other while one spins on her chair. None helped me out until the nice security went to go tell them I needed help. Do better spinning girl read more

Amazing help from the staff members. I went in looking for a specific toy. They didn't have the item. Instead of saying we don't have it and the manager got on the phone and got ahold of multiple managers at the others stores to see if they could locate it. If I could give a higher score than 5 I would. read more

We called and eventually just left the phone on speaker while on hold for over an hour and 49 minutes.... Unbelievable customer service!

** For the PHARMACY ONLY ** Stated Pharmacy lunch hours are 1:30-2pm (Saturdays); which are made clear and accommodating . The problem I have is that it was past 2:45pm, well past their stated time, with no signage or indicator that they would be late. A manager had to go into the back in order to ask them to open the pharmacy as there was well over 10 patrons waiting, some with appointments. When they finally arrived, they were overheard stating "we need to eat too. They're staring? -well let them stare." Their blatant disregard for their patrons and condescension when asked to abide by their stated hours was appalling. Had their been any notification attempt or apology for the tardiness, the lot of personnel waiting would not have been so peeved. A gesture of customer service would've kept Walgreens at the corner of Happy and Healthy-- instead we were kept at the corner of the outcasted and spurned. read more

If I can give Linda the night cashier a 5 star glowing review separate I would! Abraham the manager should be lucky that someone that good at their job still chooses to work there. We took a total of 2 hours in that store picking, printing and waiting for our pictures. In that time we literally witnessed Linda doing go backs, helping customers, solving problems, working the picture kiosk, ringing up customers all with a smile on her face and calm demeanor. She expressed they recently cut hours and was thanking everyone for their patience. She called the manager Abraham a total of 4 times while we were there and he literally huffed and puffed and was extremely rude. He talked to multiple customers like he didn't have time for them and when one customer asked about printing a document he said, " I dunno you should try to plug it in and see." Pointing to the kiosk. He weaseled his way back to whatever managers cave was in the back and literally left Linda hanging. I pray she realizes she deserves better! I hope she reads this. read more

I hate the fact the won't price match their own website. All other places do, well most of them. I buy so much but going into store vs online is such a big difference in money. Unfortunately the shipping takes forever! Dont bother buying something if you want it soon. Even if you get it shipped to the store. There are so many rules between the online store and physical store. Service is good. Thats the second star. read more

Working in the medical field, trying to contact this pharmacy is HORRIBLE! Every time I call, it rings & rings & rings! If someone does answer, they tell u to hold, then u get put back in the cycle after you are on hold for more than 3 mins, so it starts ringing again. One time I called & the phone rang for 10 mins straight with NO answer! read more

This is a review for the pharmacy. Do not use this pharmacy. Avoid at all costs, run down and not in good condition. Customer service matches store condition. It was a demeaning experience with pharmacy trying to talk through the window plus was patronizing too. Funny, right after I went to Starbucks and I got great customer service. Walgreens probably doesn't even care about Yelp reviews anyway read more

This has got to be the WORST pharmacy. You go online to get a refill and then show up since it shows it's ready and get there nothing there! doing it by phone is no better. Same thing gives you a time for when ready for pickup - nothing there! Call and waiting forever to talk to someone. Go inside - not enough help. Long waits. Same with drive thru. I have no choice in which pharmacy to go to. Management needs to step it up. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!! read more

If you have never been stereotyped by anyone before let me tell you, it's insulting! Now this place is not my first choice but it is minutes away and I have clients that I pick up meds for. I don't mind spending my money there when I find what I want and prices are good for most items. BUT, the pharmacy is a joke!!! This is one time that I wished I had my phone rolling on video so you will know I am not exaggerating. In the first place it started being my fault, I admit that. I thought it was the 21st so being out I would run by and drop off my script. Told me be ready in a hour this was at 8:15 am. and I thought, that is funny but no biggie since I was running around all day and really didn't plan on picking it up till evening. Got a call "ready for pick-up" at 7:00 pm. perfect had one more errand tonight and I will get this done. 15 min in drive thru (average wait time 15-30) get to window and pharmacy on break can't release meds. UGH! ok I will just go inside since I can get a couple of items. Spent 20 min in cosmetics and made a purchase, that cashier was wonderful. Got in line and up to counter and she said let me get your meds and telling me one was early & I knew that so no big deal. I still think the day is the 21st., they got it ready. She comes back and tells me I can't pick up till tomorrow. Look at my phone and dumb it's the 20th. Ok my fault BUT!! shouldn't you guys have known that to. Now this not just a one time incident every single month I have a problem with a different med. the exact same med and the exact same problem. Have been going there for months and they advertise pharmacists care and knows his patience's...your words and per your commercials. Ok I kinda had it so I told the cashier every single month you guys make a mistake, I mean come on you guys call and say ready for pick-up. She apologized but at the time the pharmacists walks over and says it is the Dr.'s fault. He didn't call me and tell me to come on down. I told him no you guys mess up every month with something and that this isn't about the meds it's the problems. He was talking loudly and said no they don't make mistakes I should talk to the dr. and he said "you know what the procedure is". What the....stereotyping me really!! He tells me I don't have to pick it up and I said no I don't & I was fuming but I maintained. I turned and started to walk away and he yells miss you don't have to pick it up, has my script in hand waving it at me. So I walked back took it from him and told him this is not because of the meds it is because you guys always!! mess up!! Walking away he yells goodbye and I laugh but still walking away half way down the aisle he yells louder goodbye, so I say goodbye and louder than I am used to for being in a store. Why do I say stereotype? Because I was picking up pain meds so I am assuming he is assuming there goes another pill popper. And that is exactly what I believe. He don't know why I take them, it's not his job that is why I see a Dr. I get all the new rulers about this kind of med but not everyone takes them for the enjoyment of it. If you can't handle a little customer complaint then you are in the wrong field, at the wrong store. I simply do get why it so hard for them. This man is an embarrassment to himself and totally in the wrong. You just don't treat people that way no matter what. I never raised my voice I did not get belligerent and all the while customers standing and sitting there watching this. Some been there longer than I had been. Walgreens I am insulted at the actions of this man and there is no reason for this behavior. I only left Riteaid because they were always out of stock on a medication and I had to go to both places every month, so instead transferred it all to you. You won't get my business from me again and I will do everything I can to transfer out my clients. It is not my intention to try to discredit you, you do that all on your own. This pharmacist is a joke, rude & insulting. So because it was only the 20th & not the 21st at 7:30pm I got to see childish behavior. Thank you Walgreens and I really hope to hear from the corporate complaint I filled last night. read more

HORRIBLE. I have now had several horrible experiences with Walgreens pharmacies, and this one just topped it. Absolutely positively do not know what they are doing. Can't put in numbers correctly, lose refills and then try to tell me they will "try" to get the "compounded medicine". It's not compounded, it's a tablet, I got it the same thing last month.... seriously what the heck is wrong with Walgreens?? If I could give negative stars, I would. CVS is up next to "try" and do their jobs. We'll see. read more
